Wild, absolutely WILD that in 6x22 Dean says this to Cas:

“Please. I’ve lost Lisa, I’ve lost Ben and now I’ve lost Sam. Don’t make me lose you too.”

When Cas has just gone full nuke with purgatory souls. He’s just crossed the line Dean has been begging him not to all season. Oh he’s also threatened and harmed Sam and Sam is still (as far as Dean knows) in active danger.

Still - Dean’s appeal to the brand new god in town is ‘I can’t lose you.’

Not righteous anger or even disappointment. No demands that Cas fix Sam like he said he would.

Just sorrow that he might have to go on in this world without Castiel. Just the desperate hope that they can both be saved.

My love letter to Godstiel <3 gone too soon

ID: A series of 9 digital drawings showing Castiel from episodes 6x22 and 7x01 of Supernatural, overlaid with lyrics from Sonne by Rammstein.

The first four drawings show Cas at the end of 6x22 and beginning of 7x01, killing Raphael, glowing with light, with samondean + bobby kneeling before him, and finally instructing them to bow down and profess their love. The lyrics over these images are: "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9- aus." (1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9- out.) "Alle warten auf das Licht" (Everyone is waiting for the light.) "Fürchtet euch, fürchtet euch nicht" (Be afraid. The next four drawings are all from 7x01 and show Cas standing in a field surrounded by dead angels, in a church in front of a stained glass window, silhouetted against a blue sky with the skin of his vessel starting to burn through, and finally standing in front of an opening into purgatory with light streaming from him as he releases the souls he had consumed. The lyrics over these images are: "Eins, hier kommt die Sonne, Zwei, hier kommt die Sonne." (One, here comes the sun, two, here comes the sun.) "Drei, sie ist der hellste Stern von allen, Vier, und wird nie vom Himmel fallen." (Three, it is the brightest start of all, four, and will never fall from heaven/the sky.) "Fünf, hier kommt die Sonne, Sechs, hier kommt die Sonne." (Five, here comes the sun, six, here comes the sun.) "Sieben, sie ist der hellste Stern von allen, Acht, Neun, hier kommt die Sonne." Sam, Dean, and Bobby stand across from Castiel in an alley, refusing to go along with his plan to stop Raphael. Castiel looks down, disappointed. He speaks to Dean, saying, "I wish it hadn't come to this. Well rest assured, when this is all over... I will save Sam." Dean looks confused as Cas continues, "But only if you stand down." Dean interjects, "Save Sam from what?" Castiel disappears and they all recoil slightly. Castiel is suddenly standing beside Sam; Dean and Bobby turn to watch as Castiel raises a hand to touch Sam's temple. Sam looks confused and then his eyes roll back as the screen flashes white. Then, Sam is crouched on a motel floor with the bartender from his memories. He is shaking like he's just received a vision, and she tries to get his attention, saying, "Hey. Hey! Are you okay?" He eventually looks up at her and says, "Sam. My name is Sam."
