I don't like Jodie Foster. She's decided to let her true personality show and it is something quite brittle to behold. I'll remind people she happily has her ass in The Mauritanian, which was full of depictions of torture, starring an A List actor, that we all now know has been put through actual torture from both COS and the Hollywood Gay Mafia. It was set at Quantanamo Bay, and one of the A lister's tormentors, David Birkin, had military access. Fuck this bitch. I'm sure she enjoyed every bit of watching him suffer. Also not watching True Detective because it looks like they've gone and Queered that, too. If you're wondering at the extreme hubris going on, currently, in Hollywood, it's because the rich never had to worry about the same rules that everyday people and that includes everyday LGB had to.

If I have to be more blunt, I will:

Hooks you in quickly, 2nd act was slow. Not enough with the Benedict Cumberbatch character changing his mind. That was interesting. Needed more. Last 5 min or so felt rush.

The School of Mutants 1 (2021) is a photograph of the abandoned campus of the African Future University. The work forms part of a broader research project, L’École des Mutants, a collaborative art and research platform co-initiated by Kane and artist Stéphane Verlet-Bottéro in Dakar. The project revolves around the forgotten history of radical educational experiments in Senegal. The futuristic ruins of the University of the African Future, a pan-African academic utopia co-financed by many African states and Taiwan in the 1990s, stand abandoned in Sébikotane, a rural suburb of Dakar. Not far away are the remains of the colonial school William Ponty, where the first West and Central African independence fighters were trained. The resulting image is charged with the convergence of past, present and future possibilities, while the uncompleted campus stands as a monument to dreams deferred.
