"Remember how long you have been putting these things off, and how often you have received an opportunity from the gods and have not made use of it. By now you ought to realize what cosmos you are a part of, and what divine administrator you owe your existence to, and that an end to your time here has been marked out, and if you do not use this time for clearing the clouds from your mind, it will be gone and so will you."  - Jacob Needleman and John Piazza The Essential Marcus Aurelius from The Meditations by Marcus Aurelius translated by George Long

i'm no medical expert but my one and only health tip i can offer with any confidence is to allow yourself to listen to bohemian rhapsody every once in a while in a setting where you can put your your whole entire life up to this moment into singing along with the part where freddie mercury says "i don't wanna die, but sometimes i wish i'd never been born at all" and feel a layer of dead scar tissue peel away from your existence before it can calcify

Can't wait to see how Therapist reacts on Friday to the fact that I did manage to get through the meditation video she sent me after several tries but in order to do so I had to bump the playback speed to 2.5x.
I don't want to speedrun mindfulness or whatever but these serene motherfuckers need to talk faster.
