Can Dipper pick Bill up? Has he ever tried? What would Bill's reaction be to his little human husband carrying (or trying to) him, and under what circumstances would either of them agree to it?
Good question!
I'm not sure if Dipper can pick Bill up - certainly not an easy task, Bill's taller and a handful in more than one way. Probably Dipper makes the attempt out of retaliation. Bill wants to pick up Dipper all the time? Fine! Let's see how Bill likes being manhandled for once.
Unfortunately for this plan, Bill's entirely fine with being man- or demon-handled! Frankly the whole thing would be deeply amusing. Bill gets not only attention, but also an opportunity to tease Dipper AND mock him while he struggles. A triple win!

ok new in the tags game! if you were now suddenly forced out of your home for an impromtu roadtrip that starts with running away from the government, includes finding your kidnapped sister, and ends with having to return to your home town in time for the end of the world, which one singular outfit would you be condemned to wear through it all?

Current AU situation of choice to daydream about at work is this: Gurgin, who was left for dead in the aftermath of the failed attempt to kidnap Guiscard, somehow survives and eventually makes it back to his Master with a bandaged neck, having (temporarily?) lost the ability to speak because of his wound.

Pigeon Pullover, completed!
I am very pleased with how this turned out! It's very comfortable--I had worried about the mock neck getting in the way (which has been my experience with other garments), but this wasn't a problem! It's also just warm enough to keep off a chill, but cool enough I'm not overheating, even with a t-shirt underneath.
The self-striping sock yarn used to make the chequered wing pattern is toothier than the solid-coloured yarns. It's noticeable, but I don't think it's an issue.
Things I'd change next time:
figure out how to make a tighter mock neck
start the chequering sooner (higher)
round the purple yoke more; possibly start it sooner (end it higher)
Can't wait for Pigeon Pullover version 2!
