because jedi healers are supposed to heal regardless of if their patient is a jedi or a sith, when they’re deployed on battlefields after the fighting is over, they use the Force to heal every injured person they come upon.

anakin skywalker, who was chosen from the creche and agreed to follow the Healing path at the age of 9, thinks it’s sort of stupid that they have to wait until after the fighting is over to begin to help because he can feel people dying in the Force, he can feel their pain--

Since a lot of animals have been suggested as Desmond reincarnation, I thought about a more angst path idea, Desmond as a feral child.

It would go somewhere that Desmond had run away from home around a very little age, growing up around (idk it depends of the character(s) you want to take care of him like an eagle for altair or a wolf pack for the whole Kenway's-Auditore's- Ibn-La'Ahad's as family's, even all the assasins as a big pack idk) but neither the Creed nor the Templars can find him, all they know is that he is nowhere to be found, since Desmond didn't go to the city as or try to get the motorcycle as the original. The whole Farm would have look around near forests, city's, towns, everywhere, everything, but they just found and old stuff animal (also yours to choose) ripped apart, and some drops of blood, no signs of fight, just the infance of the little boy left behind. From his things where missing some clothing and a little knife so at leat he could defend himself. Even Minerva and Juno start to freaking out, because time is running away to save the world, and their key is missing.

I mean…

Black Hills is pretty isolated and it’s a mountain range so they will definitely have problems finding him. Just trying to search the entire range is dangerous even for Assassins.

In this one, maybe instead of running away, it’s a training gone wrong?

Desmond did say in his memories in AC Revelations that they have exercise before breakfast and used the creek to get clean (I assume this meant that they would clean up after exercise before returning to the Farm) so maybe, in one of these exercise sessions, things got chaotic.

Maybe Desmond was separated from the others.

Maybe a wild animal forced them to run in different directions.

Maybe the weather turned severe all of a sudden…

Whatever the reason may be, it ends with Desmond being separated from them. He’s too young and lost so he keeps walking until he meets a wolf cub who hears his crying. The wolf cub leads him to their den and he sleeps there.

From there, he ends up being raised by a pack of wolves that acts… both wolf-like and not wolf-like at all.

What they find later on would be the ratty remains of Desmond’s clothes, dirty with specks of blood. Enough blood for them to fear the worst.

If they had the proper equipment they would have known it wasn’t human blood but animal blood.

They were the sounds of howling sometimes but they never see the wolves.

(Instead of weaponry though, there are articles that talk about how feral children have similar characteristics as the animals who raised them so, in this scenario, Desmond would rely on sharpened claws and teeth)

After the world burns, humanity tries to build from the ashes but chaos and distrust rule among them.

They do hear the whispers of a wolf pack with a strange humanoid being with them. The wolf pack is well known because they travel into cities. Many believe that they are traveling to cities maybe because the Solar Flare had destroyed their original habitat.

The strange thing is…

The wolf pack seemed more intelligent than normal canines.

Continued dumb things that rattle around in my noggin at like, all times.

This is nothing new, of course; we have talked to DEATH how significant that moment of surprise is in the context of quimchee revealing that Nol likes a nice smile. But the additional context I enjoy is that we know by this stage the friendships Nol meant to be pretend were so real. We already can glean that Nol was very drawn to Shinae in a genuine way - both as a person he wanted to help but also as a friend he earnestly wanted to be friends with.

But, correct me if I'm wrong, this is the first time he sees her smile like that - at a time when she's clearly uncomfortable and miserable on the spot in front of so many people, without her comfort jacket, at an event he knows she's being forced to attend. And it's because of him.

Nol's whole thing is helping people, putting good back into the universe, trying to improve situations for other people. He's surely made Dieter and Soushi smile and laugh.

But here it feels SO loaded and significant. Shinae with her tall, dense walls. Shinae who has been so difficult to reach. Shinae whose friendship he genuinely wants, genuinely enjoys, despite how she tried to stay safe in her shell, in this uncomfortable moment laughing and smiling in such a bright radiant way.

He's a sucker for a good smile.

And he brought her that comfort.

I don't think it's necessarily an attraction thing as much as it's one of those very important bricks laid in their foundation. Nol doesn't in that moment consciously realize he likes Shinae. I think something just strikes him in that moment. That smile, that radiant joy, makes him feel something he can't identify.

THINK ABOUT IT. He's just come back from meeting Alyssa who immediately took off after Meg even though they haven't met in so long. Standing here watching Shinae endure an awkward, uncomfortable dance in front of strangers, everyone recognizes Kousuke - but not Nol. He's a stranger to his family's world, even to his girlfriend. He's just another guy in the crowd.

But there's Shinae, who sees him. The same Shinae who has taken notice of his scuffed knuckles. The same Shinae who, after the dance, immediately goes to him and asks about him.

It's no wonder he says this.

I think seeing Shinae at the formal, clearly against her will, is the moment Nol remembers what happens to people he cares about. He got invested, he sought her friendship, and even though he doesn't know why she's there, he's certain it's her proximity to him. Even before Sangchul, before the pool, Nol remembered the danger.

It's after this he gives Kousuke his word that he'll avoid Shinae, and I think that's why. He already had the intention of distancing himself. It was supposed to be fake and he knew it wasn't and that he doesn't deserve her friendship he put her in danger by showing interest. She had drawn boundaries, she didn't even really want his friendship it'd be fine.

But then he made her laugh. But then she spotted him when no one else did. Then she burst into that bright, radiant laughter because of him and he probably knew: it was too late. He screwed up and yet....

Nothing is okay everything is messed up but he puts on that mask anyway. For friendship. Because he needs to. For her comfort. So he can convince himself he can actually pull away. So he can convince himself it doesn't mean anything else.

So he can convince himself someone cares about him, that maybe something is real even if real means danger.

(But he can't and we know it and we watch it over and over. It's too late and he just can't stay away.)

Astarion's line about not having taken a bath since the abduction has been haunting me today, but I also cannot stop thinking about him and my Durge having the loveliest bath together when they first make it to the Elfsong.

Astarion is fucking f r o t h i n g he has been waiting for this moment since the night Baldur's Gate peeked over the horizon. When he stood beside Mercy at the abandoned post overlooking he city, he just kinda leans against Mercy (who is significantly shorter than him, but he loves to lean on them or drape himself across their shoulders like the little devil in their ear he actually is), and just SO dramatically announces how excited he is to have all the little luxuries they couldn't have on the road.

Like Mercy is standing with their arms cross, all puffed up and squared, they just took down a God and are feeling really fucking powerful. Then this man is just nuzzling his lips against their cheek and they just completely melt while he starts on his little rant like he doesn't know what he's doing.

Literally just sneaking this moment of (private) affection in, kinda puffing up that he can make this Feller of Gods putty beneath him with just a touch, but also he loves every moment of contact...but also the lurking Dread in the back of his mind bc oh Gods this creature he has found him swept up in is precious enough for him to want to protect. He may have helped take down Myrkul, but he's still so consumed by fear and the weight of his entire situation that doesn't see his own strength.

And all of this is going on in the back of his mind, but he brushes it off and is all, "Gods we can't get back to civilization quick enough. I've had enough playing in filth for this century," but there's no real venom to it, he's just being prissy. When he finishes throwing his little fit, Mercy reaches up, scritches his head like a fucking cat, and is just like I was pretty chill with the arrangement now but I'm excited for you.

And this is the moment Astarion it hits him that his darling Durge has no context for how lovely an actual bath is. Like a nice one with good soaps, warm water, and soft cloths. He's just like holy shit I am going to treat you to the best goddamn bath of your entire wretched life and you will finally understand why your current hygiene situation Isn't Doing It for him.

When they finally get that bath, Mercy just soaks in the warm water pressed against Astarion's back and purrs until the water starts to cool and he's the one who insists they get tf out.
