All my life I've been a lover / fan of dystopian, fantasy, supernatural based things ect. So when I discovered ateez it was like my world just ended and began at the same time! The pirates! HalaHala Teez, wonderland, say my name... ALL OF IT. I've been thriving since. and it's taken over every functioning part of my brain to the point I overwhelm myself and never write these grand ideas. But I feel I could write a 100 season series on them which is like.. Insane right! Anyways that's not what I'm here for. I just wanted to say The Dystopian Era but with Ateez as agents / assassin's / freedom fighters in their cyberpunk fits because I saw a video of Wooyoung earlier (also u should've seen his veins omggggg it is was so.. so.. His veins = map to my heart 🤑)

I was also going to elaborate further until I realized the ateez world / lore is basically everything I'm already envisioning. the batman, maze runner, divergent, kdrama black knight, mockingjay genres. BUT I JUST NEED SOMEONE TO PICTURE YUNHO WITH ME... Idk if you've seen the edits BUT STILL. and like just ateez entirely. Because everything's incorporated in their storyline I get that, but I don't think any of us took a minute to truly picture how incredibly hot they must look while doing scenes that we haven seen in the mv yet!! Like actual hardcore fight scenes.. I'M RAMBLING. BUT UR THE FIRST PERSON I THOUGHT OF TO SCREAM MY PENT UP IDEAS AT HELPP-

idk if u know about him tbh … ? so i will give the short run down.

tmc is set in a futuristic earth after a Massive Flood raised sea levels an insane amount and now cities are all floating on top of the water. innovation was put into public transport bc of limited resources and now there are many kinds of trains. but since trains and train lines carry essentially every commodity in the world there’s lots of nefarious folk who decide they wanna try and fuck shit up, so the govt created train masters who basically protect these trains. they have different kinds of licenses, roles and abilities and it’s very magical girl/shonen inspired tm. they got magic weapons and future hover shoes and it’s cyberpunk esque and p cool :3

our main boy is chidori jonson (hence the title) and this is my favorite transmasc that i’ve had as an oc since i was like. pff. 10. also he is a mail boy cuz he’s the lowest rank so he protects mail trains!

this is supposed to mostly be a drawn wip and webcomic vibe so nothing official written cuz uh it don’t work like that. i’d love it if i could remember how to draw half as well so i can do more shit.

N E WAY the playlist itself is super fun spunky japanese music (mostly) and a lot of it is character theme songs and overall vibes (cuz it’s an anime in my head pff).

It’s really small but I do think people don’t talk about how fucking good Touhou is at just… surprising you. It’s one of the things I like the most about this series. Like, the first time we went to Old Hell, it was a fiery abyss, a massive cave full of demons and ghosts and shit, and you descend to a strange lullaby sounding song, as if mourning the dead. So when we went to New Hell, you descend downwards in complete silence, then the music kicks on, it’s the same sort of solemn piano as Lullaby of Forgotten Hell, and then a fucking cyberpunk city rises into view? That shit is insane, I’ve never felt anything quite like it

6. What song I love my bias the most in.

I'm gonna do all biases because nobody can stop me and I'll start with San because among the three I have the least amount of thoughts for him ksdfjskfjas (sorry... also this is under the cut because..... you'll see kasdjflkdöas)

ok first of all... mist. his voice sounds so soft in the entire song and he's singing this so well??? also in arriba his short line right before the last chorus sounds SOOO good, i really love his voice when he sings with that energy!!! another song that just has to be mentioned here is turbulence, he's so dramatic in the second chorus but i think that's what made me notice his voice especially in this song!! also inception, because of the vocals, but also because of his choreo in the chorus!!!!! (to mention choreo once in the entire post lol)

I'm semi-normal about wooyoung's parts, so I'll do him next aksdjfklsa and i just want to say celebrate. like????? the very first time i heard that song my immediate reaction to his parts was that they need to let him sing like that more often!!!! he sounds SO GOOD there????? and when he gets the right lines you can actually hear that this guy has a lot of power in his voice (idk, i tend to notice this especially in songs where the first time a line appears they give it to jongho and then the second time wooyoung sings it, like the comparison just makes it so clear how much energy woo has in his voice when used right!!) idk i've been dying to say this somewhere and i WILL say it again so!!!!!!! (alsoalso to mention choreo a second time - the lil butt shake in crazy form, like that's so him and so cute and he looks so happy doing it too 🥺)

A/n: Hello! This is my first time ever publishing a written work of mine. My main goal here is to simply share the scenario that I created, with ATEEZ’s Cyberpunk being my inspiration. Anyways, I hope you’ll enjoy! (To whoever comes across the post, most likely fellow atinys, it is recommended to play the song while reading for the full experience <3)

You’re inside a club with absolutely no one around, on the dance floor which is actually a mess just like any other parts of the place. Knocked over tables and couches, broken pieces of glasses, spilled alcoholic drinks, everything is a complete wreck.

You’re clueless about what happened, where everyone else is, but your mind wouldn’t allow you to think much as the song that is oddly still blasting puts you into a somewhat hypnotized state.

The spinning disco ball showing off its pretty colors combined with alluring voices that are booming triggers your urge to dance, although you luckily snap out of it. Now is NOT the time to vibe. After winning the battle against the unknown, you run towards the exit, unlocking it using a strong kick.

You’re beyond confused upon witnessing a gray convertible car parked in the middle of an empty road. You turn back, expecting to see the building you escaped from. However, all that could be seen is a vast pit of darkness consuming the surroundings.

Tooo overwhelmed, you don’t even question how this world works anymore, nor the way a source of illumination somewhere seems to only shine down on the narrow path leading to nothingness.

Toying with the key that is apparently in your grasp for who knows since when, you decide to try and get out of here. Starting the engine, you immediately slam both pedals, the tires creating an ear-screeching noise before you release the brake, the vehicle accelerating forwards.

During the drive, you desperately search for anything or anyone, to reassure yourself that you aren’t going through this all on your own. Disappointing enough, you’re really alone. Looking past your shoulder, you notice the roadway behind you being quickly swallowed by gloom the further you drive.

Frustrated, you hit the wheel, chest heaving. Suddenly, a blinding brightness forms ahead of you. You instinctively shield your vision, entering the whiteness. A few seconds later, someone whispers, “open your eyes.”

Listening to the instruction, a whole new environment greets you unexpectedly. The city appears to be futuristic, lawless, and very silent. Not a single soul is present. High technology dominates the dystopian society. The colorful lights from each floor of the insanely tall structures to the sides are flickering, as if they are following a certain beat.

Studying closely, you realize the flickers match the familiar melody that erupted out of nowhere. Rather than fighting it like earlier, you relax yourself to the same music that once casted some sort of spell on you. “Now Playing - Cyberpunk”, reads the radio screen.

You then enjoy the cold night breeze kissing your face, hair dancing in the air. The previous worries are long gone due to the help of mesmerizing vocals and instrumentals washing them away.

Because it is endless anyway, you speed up carelessly, one hand gripping the whiskey bottle you found on the floorboard. Gulping a good amount of it, you smile contentedly.

Looking to the sky, you admire the magnificent full moon and twinkling stars, unaware that they are manipulated, as well as the fact that a man has been watching you from the backseat, his lips curling into a smirk.

I'm so glad you had a great birthday, it sounded so fun. I'm glad I could be a part of it just a little bit. Its so cool that song gets used in places, its sweet it made you think of me. Of course I would hand write you a note, you hand wrote me one on christmas, and that was very sweet of you too. You looked so beautiful for your birthday, both night and day. Omg those boots are so cool too, so goth and so cowboy. They do look comfy, maybe you were just born to be a goth cowgirl hehe. Of course you had to have a tiara, you're the birthday girl. I hope they presented it to you on like a small decorated pillow, and kneeling like "my liege" hehe. It makes me smile to know you have people around you that care for you like that, take you to your favourite places and get you top tier krispy kremes too haha. I've had the reece's pieces one, so fucking decadent haha. I need to try the biscoff one too. Maybe a crime that I haven't tried biscoff biscuits or the spread before 0.0 hahaha. Maybe I'm getting old but too much sugar and I can hear my teeth scream at me hahaha. I hope you had a good sleep afterwards.

I know you were feeling iffy about celebrating with everything that happened but I'm glad you still let yourself relax a little and have fun. He was celebrating with you, I hope you know that. He'll always be.

I'm sorry I haven't posted for a while. I've been pretty brain foggy and my sleep is just, oof haha. I'm trying to do little things to slowly change my habits. I'm not trying to force change but become more aware of my actions and habits and change them slowly. I read that forcing change can sometimes lead you more into your bad habits and thats definitely what I've been experiencing, then I just get more depressed because I feel like I've failed and continue a cycle. My sleep is just waking up feeling exhausted then not being able to do much and then oversleeping, which is getting in the way of things. But I've been making small changes like doing things when I'm a awake (surprise) but not caring what time that is, so I do my washing late in the afternoon and have is dry over night instead of during the day for example. Just trying not to beat myself up for existing really. I seem to do that a lot tbh. I do need to make my doctor appointments though, they're really important and I've been stupid with them. But I should have the first lined up soon. Streaming is really fun but if feel too brain foggy then it feels like a chore which sucks, but that will change with time. I thought I could stream like everyday but thats not realistic for me right now, doing it once a week when I feel good makes more sense. I still have heaps of ideas thats I've been writing down too. I have my vods saved so don't worry if they leave twitch. (the last one was like 13.4 gbs which is insane) I've been getting more things sorted out too like alerts. I'll continue with Cyberpunk, like I said it is one of my all time favourite games. I agree the music, the voice acting is superb, just all the sound design is so well done. How it conveys a constant dense dystopian futuristic feel is so well done. I'm also thinking tormenting myself with the only up rage game haha, sounds fun. And of course I'll return back to tentacle man soon.

Omg I love Beach House, Space Song is my favourite by them. I'm glad at least talking can make you feel a bit more comfort, I wish I could do more, but I'll keep up with this if helps.

NUMBER TEN: FOREVER 1- GIRL’S GENERATION

 This song feels like a wish come true. It’s not the most complex or interesting song out there, but it deserves its spot on this list just for the fact that we got a full group comeback from the one and only SNSD in the year of the goddess Hylia 2022.  I love the vibes of it, it puts me in a great mood, and that’s enough for it to be on here

 NUMBER NINE: VENOM- STRAY KIDS

 All I need to say to justify this one is… pewpewpew

 But seriously, this song’s beat is so SKZ that it’s INSANE. Like disgustingly addictive, springy sound that perfectly encapsulates the feel of a spider’s legs. It’s so fucking *chef’s kiss*. Of all the songs on the Oddinary album, this one really tickles my brain just the right way. However, there is one other song on the album that works just a tiny bit better…

 NUMBER EIGHT: MANIAC- STRAY KIDS

 And that’s Maniac.  All the disparate pieces of this song coalesce in a way that is just so perfect. I’ve always loved the way SKZ utilizes Felix’s unique voice, and the chorus of Maniac is the perfect example of that. It’s an absolute bop, and the superior track on an album with no skips

 NUMBER SEVEN: OPENING SEQUENCE- TXT

 I love TXT. I love everything about them so much. But what I didn’t love, was Good Boy Gone Bad. It pained me to admit that when the track dropped, so imagine my delight when I started listening to the album and I heard this absolute gem.  I love the atmosphere of this song so much, and TXT is incredibly skilled at capturing feelings of discomfort and desolation in their music, and those feelings fit the lyrical content perfectly

 NUMBER SIX: I HATE YOU- WOODZ

 The pop punk trend in kpop is one of the best things to happen to the genre in years, and in my opinion, there’s no one better suited to capture it than Woodz.  In the past I’ve described Woodz as something of a musical chameleon; able to tackle any genre and absolutely kill it.  He captures the carefree “fuck you” vibes of early 2000s pop punk effortlessly, and I’d love to hear more of this sound from him in the future

 NUMBER FIVE: 28 REASONS- SEULGI

 Seulgi as a dark, sensual, domineering badass? Yes. Very yes.

 Jokes aside, Seulgi absolutely murdered this concept both visually and musically.  I’m not sure if it was meant to be a throwback, but it definitely reminds me of something Aaliyah would’ve released in the late 90s. This was a strong solo debut for one of kpop’s most high profile aces, and I really can’t wait to see what she’ll do next

  NUMBER FOUR: CYBERPUNK- ATEEZ

 This song is why I love ATEEZ as much as I do. This shit hits you like a wall of unstoppable sound the moment the chorus kicks off, and it’s the type of sonic euphoria that I’ve been desperately missing with 4th gen groups. It’s no secret that this generation has pivoted more towards choreography and elaborate concepts, and away from killer vocals like 2nd and 3rd gen.  That’s not necessarily a bad thing mind you, but ATEEZ proves why having killer vocals is such an asset.  I love every second of this one start to finish, and uh… let’s just say those concert stages were iconic *wink wink*

 NUMBER THREE: TIME LAPSE- NCT 127

 I mean it when I say that the 2 Baddies album might be NCT 127’s best one yet.  Almost every song is phenomenal, but none more so than Time Lapse.  I love the attention to detail; the computerized/digitized sounds at the beginning, and the old Hollywood style music sting at the end really tie in well with the concept of ‘time’, and the fucking CHORUS. Every czennie has been bumping “can we fix it?!” for MONTHS.  It was hard for me to pick a single song from this album, but after some thought, I knew it just had to be this one

 NUMBER TWO: BEGIN- ONLYONEOF’S YOOJUNG

 OnlyOneOf’s “UndergrOund IdOl” project has been one of the best things to ever happen in the history of kpop.  What really endears me to it is not just its unflinching depictions of explicit queerness (no teasing or implication here) but also the fact that the music is ACTUALLY GOOD.  Not gonna say any names (not looking to insult people here) but we shouldn’t have to sacrifice musical quality just to have some queer rep in the industry.  Of all the releases so far though, I think the one that kicked it off is still the best.  There’s just something magical about Begin; I’m not sure if its his delivery of the lyrics, the mellow energy of the track that builds to a satisfying climax, or just the relatability of the single line “hate this city” as a queer person.  Whatever it is makes Begin such a perfect song, and so far its yet to be topped by the rest of the series in my opinion

The moment I heard this one, I knew it was gonna be my number one song of the year and as the months passed, nothing quite managed to dethrone it.  I can not fucking wait to see how the guys evolve as time goes on

Quick thoughts on Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty + 2.0 + New Ending (Spoilers included)

For the last few days I've been playing Phantom Liberty, slowly taking my time I get to know the new characters, delving deep into the game mechanics and just immersing myself in this new expansion and fucking hell, I swear to god, I have it really well cemented in my brain that in Night City it's kill or be killed, and they still got me by the throat with how the story concluded, and the airport mission - IYKYK - was a banger, on some peak kino banger shit.

Which speaking of, about the expansion itself, great acting - I at first Idris sounded a bit stiff, but I got used to how that integrated well with his character's roughness -, the spy thriller element alongside the writing are so top tier, it's genuinely insane how they manage to keep it very human in the sense of how everything and everyone is unpredictable regardless of personality or intentions, the new music is so fkn glorious, like Adamczyk and Jacek fkn killed it, the new 2.0 changes and updates literally turn the game more mechanically significant, as in you can now more finely tune your builds now that clothing doesn't have stats + the skill tree, it's honestly immense the amount of work that went into overhauling the main game + the expansion too, I had so much fun.

And the song credits too omg, it's all fun and games until the Polish man starts singing lol

Now the new ending, I don't really feel it's as bleak as people say it is, not as bleak as having your complex trapped in Arasaka's servers, but man, it still hits like a truck. V is no longer able-bodied the way she used to be, all of your friends have moved on, the most understandable being Panam who is distraught and angry, the most depressing being Vick, the most empathetic being Judy - I played fem V and dated her - and the most happy being Misty, I really love her new design which seems to be a mix of her and Jackie's style with the jacket, she looks so cool.

It's kinda like a second chance at life ending, now V can leave Night City, free of any shackles the way I see it, and pursue other stuff, I really like it. Also, "Think we can in our heart forgive each other ?", genuinely the most beautiful thing Johnny has said, it'll stay with me the most no doubt. It got me and my friend discussing how choosing to befriend Johnny throughout your playthrough really makes for the best interactions the game has to offer, and I really don't think I could ever be an asshole to Johnny, no matter how many playthroughs I do, I just love seeing him either happy, really sassy or genuinely mad and concerned when time calls for it.

A part of me does feel conflicted with my personal feelings and V's intentions cuz their dream was to be a legend in NC and having that stripped away must be soul crushing no doubt, especially when you lose almost everyone you loved in the way stuff isn't what it used to be, but me personally I'm just happy they get a second chance and just figure shit out on what to do next, but if there's an ending I definitely see as canon/"good ending" where both our POVs align, it's the one you part ways from NC with the Aldecados and go away with Judy and Panam to live your last days.

There really is no other dev like CDPR man, I love em

i stopped listening to ateez like in 2019? whenever wonderland was released at least. i didnt like it much so i just stopped listening. anyway, i kinda miss them, i guess? and since theyve had so many comebacks ive missed i was hoping you could recommend some of their newer stuff for me to check out? if you have the time/want to. <3

a true hidden gem. so fucking good. people prefer cyberpunk over this is a b-side but it's a banger, it's soooo amped up like no moment of relaxation we are going all in. a song of all time.

their most recent cb of last week and i think it's genuinely just one of the most fun, most enjoyable songs they have released. i usually am a b-side connoisseur, but they unlocked something with her ... man, it's one of a kind.

me when i sample two songs and create the sickest fucking hit of all time. i am enraged this is just a little single they dropped off the cuff .... this should be all over their tour setlists, performed as a staple !!!!! the hit potential of it is simply off the charts.

god this one made me a stan i wish i was kidding. another single they randomly dropped for some app (monsta x, tbz and other artists also did) and it's just so fucked up how good it is. genuinely the mv makes it even better but it's a sick song as it is.

named after one of the best movies of our recent times with lyrics based on the same concept ... the ateez movie verse's greatest entry i fear. everything that is happening here is an absolutely wild ride but so good. SOOOO insanely well done. icb they went into the recording booth with god

Best of 2022 K-Pop🏹

This year’s kpop releases have been VERY hit or miss (emphasis on the miss) for me this year but I still managed to scrape together a list of very great songs that came out and that I thoroughly enjoyed. These aren’t all of the releases I liked this year, but they are the best of them.

WHEN I MOVE - KARA

Several 2nd Gen girl groups have made their long awaited comebacks this year, and this was simply the best one (and this is coming from a Girls’ Generation supremacist). The song and music video are so glam, although that rap is definitely a blemish on this otherwise amazing song. They even managed to be one of the very few kpop groups to utilize an antidrop without it disappointing me.

BEAUTY INSIDE - NINE.I

A new token 4th gen group to add to my like list! Beauty Inside is another well done antidrop and has such pretty production. I can see this song aging very well and being very nostalgic for me in the future.

Heart Burn - Sunmi

This is quality FAWKING music! I never thought that we’d see Sunmi being in her Fleetwood Mac era, but here we are, and I couldn’t be happier. Also the visuals of this era were utterly GORGEOUS!

INVU - Taeyeon

Not everyone is intelligent enough to see the beauty in this song, but I am☝️ It’s just a very pretty and atmospheric song with beautiful vocals and production. What is there not to like?

Dilemma - APink

I genuinely don’t get why so many people hate the chorus because I love it, especially the horn! I think the horn is very pretty. This is mermaid music from beginning to end so I am disappointed that the music video didn’t have them as mermaids or something, but I’ve coped and moved on.

Don’t Stop - ATEEZ

This song was way too good to just be a random little single, especially considering the fact that it’s better than any of the other songs ATEEZ has released this year (other than Cyberpunk). It really exemplifies the strengths of ATEEZ’s music; the well utilized adlibs and vocal layering, production that has a lot going on without crossing into obnoxious territory, and an insanely catchy chorus.

O - VERIVERY

The guitar and melody and production overall of this song are just intoxicating. Also, I’m pissed no one told me that VERIVERY has some GOOD ass music. For years I just brushed them off as just another 4th gen boy group, but no, they have a very great catalogue that I highly recommended everyone check out. Especially their song From Now.

ParadoXXX Invasion - ENHYPEN

Ok so the rest of this list isn’t ordered, but these last two entries are in fact my top two favorite songs of the year. THIS IS WHAT REAL BOY GROUP MUSIC SOUNDS LIKE! I can’t get over how much I love this song from beginning to end. I even love the music video and choreography to death too. I haven’t been this excited about a group release since I don’t know when. Enhypen has very quickly become my second favorite 4th generation group after ATEEZ. They’re hitmakers, I tell you☝️

Brand New - Xiumin

Brand New is easily the most kpopiest kpop song we’ve gotten in a LONG LONG time. As an EXO-L, I suppose I am very biased, but I think even if I wasn’t one, I’d still think this was the best release. It’s pure effervescent fun! I listen to it on loop all of the time even though it’s been out for 3 months now. Xiumin really did what he had to do and I couldn’t be more grateful.
