This is what our dying looks like. You believe in the sun. I believe I can't love you. Always be closing, Said our favorite professor before He let the gun go off in his mouth. I turned 29 the way any man turns In his sleep, unaware of the earth Moving beneath him, its plates in Their places, a dated disagreement. Let's fight it out, baby. You have Only so long left—a man turning In his sleep—so I take a picture. I won't look at it, of course. It's His bad side, his Mr. Hyde, the hole In a husband's head, the O Of his wife's mouth. Every night, I take a pill. Miss one, and I'm gone. Miss two, and we're through. Hotels Bore me, unless I get a mountain view, A room in which my cell won't work, And there's nothing to do but see The sun go down into the ground That cradles us as any coffin can.
"Another Elegy," Jericho Brown, from The New Testament

Today I learned something new about the 'turn the other cheek' sentiment.
At today's Mass, the priest said that the ‘turn the other cheek’ thing was actually clever wording, not being passive about abuse. It meant ‘Slap me (insult me) again, but with integrity.’ (you can’t)
The ‘give them your cloak too’ was referring to how a loan shark would take a poor person's tunic as collateral. So Jesus said ‘give them your cloak too’, proving a point to the loan shark that they’re leaving you basically naked (in your underclothes).
And the ‘walk an extra mile’ thing was referring to how the ancient Romans would enlist a lay person to carry their gear, but ONLY for one mile, else they would get in trouble. And Jesus was like, ‘So carry it for two.’
In today’s reading, Jesus really said that Christian pacifism is “Do it. You won’t.” And I think that’s hilarious.

More or Less Blessed
More or Less BlessedIs it really more blessed to give than receive?Jesus thought so, so that’s fine to believe. But the problem with that, if you ask me,is it makes giving something we should all try to get,And getting a thing about which to fret.It forces spontaneous virtue to be,and makes Heaven a place that just isn’t free. The thing about giving that nobody notes(perhaps they are too busy…

No one could have guessed that Alkis kept his ID tucked into the Book of Revelation, his passport in À la recherche du temps perdu, and his driver’s license in an empty cat food can.

A VIEW ON THE BIBLE AND MOTHERHOOD IN SERBIA
5 min read
In Shitbia we say - children before us
Translated to - nurture children to become our caregivers when we get old. Invest in them as assets, achievements, possesions, a link in the chain, mindless and faceless zombies of society.
The bleeeek sheeps are dumb idiots worthy of constant emotional, mental and physical abuse, no matter how hard they try to fit in.
The biggest insult for them is me as a successful, self sufficient, genderless in mind, woman in bed, independent, and strong Satanist that is not a prey , but a predator.
You want to mess with my mind? As you do to me, I'll do to you. You want me to say thank you to something I didn't asked for? No problem, take my money in return.
WHY THE LABEL SATANIST?
Yeah, why Satanist? I was born and raised in a family of priests in the Serbian Ortodox Christian Church. My child is baptized, I go to church from time to time, to Liturgy, and talk to our local priest. I confessed a couple of times too. I know the New Testament very well, and some of the Old Testament.
The subtle art of not giving a fuck book.. Damn, that IS healing.
THESE ARE MY CONCLUSIONS ABOUT JESUS AND CHRISTIANITY
Number 1 Jews are NOT God's selected people. So all in the Old Testament is meant for brainwashing the jews and other nations after the expansion of the Christianity and Judaism.
Number 2. The only Christian is the Jesus Christ himself. We are all animals with no higher moral besides our own minds.
Number 3 That book is great for some things as fighting with narcissism (pride) but turning the other cheek when insulted and forgiving your enemy JUST NO
Number 4 Great for guilt shaming. The best one there is. What is wrong in earning as much money as you can? Money = independence, a kardinal sin in Shitbia haha
Number 5 Adultery is wrong through, unfair, but open marriage is great!
Number 6 Pride! Love yourselves? Yes! Not the authorities of any kind If it doesn't benefit you. Freedom, pride, revenge, independence, compassion when you feel like it. I volunteer at 7 Cups since 2016. I love it.
Number whatever Helping people is the core teaching of Jesus, in the end. It is said that only those who feed, clothe, help and nurture other people will stand on the right side of the God. So churches are good only for psychodrama and relaxing. When you don't talk much to people when you dont feel like it ☺️

I wish more Christians would pay less attention to Paul and more attention to Jesus. Especially when Jesus says, "Whatever you do to people who have less privilege than you is something you do to me."

The New Testament
The New Testament, the second division of the Christian Bible, is a collection of 27 books that collectively form the core of Christian belief and theology. It comprises four narrative accounts known as the Gospels, an account of the early Christian Church (The Book of Acts), letters or epistles written by various apostles to different Christian communities, and a prophetic book…
