Do you know any podcasts with transfeminine main characters?
Apologies for the delay. I have a few:
Between Heartbeats: (Urban Fantasy) In a city of incredible abilities and mundane struggle, we follow Sundiata, a time-manipulator struggling to stay employed. During a a quick break from waiting tables to go help in an emergency, she instead finds herself caught in a bizzare mystery. Unfortunately release seems to have stalled following the first episode, but I'm eagerly awaiting its return.
Inn Between: (Fantasy, Adventure) What the adventuring heroes get up to at the tavern, between the grand adventures. Cleverly fills the listener in on the adventures using "previously on" and "next time on" segments. You'll need to wait (or jump) to Season 3 to meet our transfem lead, but she is an absolute delight.
Interference: (Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Romance) A human tabletop podcaster and an orc researcher get their broadcast signals crossed between worlds, and start a dialogue. Cross-reality research, and a budding romance, ensue.
The Magnus Protocol: (Horror) Seeking employment, Sam gets a job working with his friend Alice for a bizzare little government office. The work? Night shifts listening to, and then cataloguing, bizzare and unsettling material trawled from the internet. Despite Alice's warnings, Sam may be getting a little too invested.
The Night Post: (Supernatural) Concerning the conscripted nighttime couriers/postal workers of Gilt City, and the otherworldy encounters they have on the job.
PSST: Paranatural Support Services Team: (Supernatural) Struggling with a supernatural entity or haunting encounter? The PSST's got you covered. Meet The Agent at the other end of the phone as she gives advice, unravels mysteries, and tries to work out just how long it's been since she went home.
The Silt Verses: (Horror) In a modern world where gods are abundant, frequently both commercialised and restricted, two devotees of an outlawed river god go on a pilgrimage. You'll meet the character in question a few episodes in.
Breathing Space: (Sci-fi, Space Western, Anthology) Included more as a special mention (as this is an anthology and the leads change every episode), Breathing Space is an array of stories set in the early age of space exploration that leans hard into the "Western" part of "Space Western". A not-insignificant number of the stories feature trans characters. If you don't vibe with the first story, do me a favour and listen to the second before you bail.
Additions are, of course, always welcome.

alright gay horror nerds- what podcast should I listen to next?
What I’ve already listened to, in the tags
I’m considering: dreamboy, hello from the hallowoods, the storage papers, malevolent
I really don’t know what to start with and I find it kinda overwhelming. I’ve heard good stuff of all of those but not direct recommendations.

Happy Audio Drama Sunday!!
This week we celebrate the birthdays of a couple creators I really love: Mx. William Wellman of Hello from the Hallowoods and Rae Lundberg of The Night Post! In honor of their birthdays, allow me to convince you to listen to their shows—
The Night Post is a liminal horror story about boundaries. What counts as alive and dead? What counts as rural and urban? What counts as wilderness and civilization? In Gilt City, three night shift postal workers, cursed to pick up the mantle when loved ones who were their next of kin died doing it, are constantly confronted with these questions, as well as one more: can they even do anything to help themselves?
I love The Night Post for its working-class despair (a common trope in audio drama but one that’s very close to the core in this show), and for its message: you have to help anyway. Even the curse you bear puts you in a position to do something good, and if you don’t, who will? If you like found family, Southern gothic sensibilities, and the horror of being a person who is alive, you’ll love The Night Post.
Hello from the Hallowoods hits some similar notes—if you like one you’re likely to like another—but is structured in a very different way. Hello from the Hallowoods tells the multiplicitous interconnected stories of the people who live in a post-apocalypse. And listen, the black water of the ended world may be trying to kill you, and in some cases is already has, but people still need love.
And this is the beauty of Hallowoods. The world has ended, but you are still alive, and the things you do matter.
Support these artists, support their shows, and enjoy some incredible stories!

trying to find a supernatural podcast that's not disturbing enough to make me imagine things in the corner of my bedroom and chill enough in narration to listen to in the dead of night without it being too scary (demonic robot voices are great until it's 3 AM), animated, or loud. bonus points if there's lgbtq+ representation.

Don't know anyone here? Pick one and go listen!
Am I missing your favourite? Are they from a horror? Let me know!
Where is Sister Carpenter? She is too powerful and would skew the results. But rest assured, she will be appearing in an upcoming poll.

i'm afraid we've disappeared your boyfriend. yeah. yeah, it's the first episode of a mystery podcast, so it's kind of like the inciting incident, ya know? he's being soooo integral to the narrative rn. i mean, sure, we'll look for him, but chances are we'll discover a lot of other messed up stuff along the way. no, he definitely won't be the same after this if we find him. that's kind of the nature of horror and all. you get it.

174 is @thenightpost!
Supernatural. The conscripted couriers of the Night Post of Gilt City make their deliveries at night, to the untamed Skelter. When Ashley, one of the pigeons of Station 103, goes missing on his route, his husband Milo is conscripted to take his place.
Three seasons of 15 episodes each are currently available.
