And once the fight is over, we will get to hug again. The tales of divinity and viscera will be left behind, and we will instead worry about the mundane. We will forge a future for ourselves- In our happy ending, we will rebuild what was lost, and we will laugh, and love each other again.

Doodle dump from the past few months!

[Image: seven doodles of various D&D characters, most of them mine.

1) Solace, a drow bard with fluffy hair that covers his face, sat on the ground and wearing a conical dunce hat. He is surrounded by various arrows all pointing to him with the label “this guy!” 2) An edit of the fuck go back meme. The first drawing is of Mitchell, a drow wizard, and @leidensygdom’s Urion, a drow-genasi bard. A finger presses a button on the keyboard labelled “awww baby”. The next drawing is of Solace and the Onirist (also LS’s). The finger presses the button again, now labelled “fuck go back”. 3) Freefall, @jupitisms’ tiefling blood hunter, in a tight embrace by a wide-eyed Effie (a changeling fighter in guise as a tiefling), both teetering over the edge of a cliff and both being ultimately held back from falling by Daphne, @nightfirexd’s tiefling ranger. 4) Mitchell and Effie’s floating heads, with a lit torch being passed from the former to the latter. There is text around them that says “Spiritual successor / long white hair & autism voice”. This is true. 5) A drawing of three drow tethered together with a rope in marching order: @bardcharms’ ranger Dax at the front of the line on the right, @eve-stirwin’s rogue Quiche in the middle, and my warlock Cato bringing up the rear. Above them is the text “keep all arms and legs inside of the party at all times!” 6) Alva, a tiny person with very long hair, looks up in absolute awe and adoration (heart-eyes and all) at the Empress, a much, much taller, vague and elegant figure. (Alva has since begun referring to her as her girlfriend, though hasn’t mentioned anything about it to the Empress herself.) 7) A short comic in grayscale. @jupitisms​’ Nimbus, a tiefling druid with curly hair and branches sprouting from her horns, holds up Opportunity (a wood elf wearing a magpie-skull mask, with bad vibes emanating off him in black scribbles) like a cat, with a pleading face, saying “babe please can we keep him”. Providence, her girlfriend and his nemesis, stands imposingly with glowing eyes and the moon behind her, and answers (in distorted, glowing capital letters) “he is a scourge on benevolence”. Nimbus’ eyes grow wider and sadder, and she adds desperately, “…and a baby”. 8) Heaven Le Scourge, a tiefling, lying on a bed and talking animatedly into a rotary phone in much the manner of a stereotypical teenage girl in an 80s movie. She has rollers in her hair and there’s a magazine lying open next to her. (Though not shown, she’s on call with @leidensygdom’s Solaralith, discussing their diabolical acts of cruelty and plans for world domination together.) 9) An addendum to the one above, showing Crocus (Heaven’s bodyguard, a drow-tiefling blood hunter) t-posing in a dress, with text above indicating that she has been “dressed up to play poison tea party”.

Yesterday was an outfit design kind of day for me (accidentally so), so here’s one of the things I made. I wanted to give The Onirist/Urion a less modern-looking lab coat for an AU, except I like it way more than their regular lab coat so this is now their canon look I guess? I really want to make an updated reference with this outfit, not gonna lie- (I didn’t expect to end up with an earth genasi/drow cleric in a lab coat, but OH well)

(Is this something you would be interested in seeing? I do a lot of these frontal designs before going for the fully fleshed out pictures!)

They had been assigned one purpose: To make people happy, no matter the cost. What happiness meant was, however, heavily twisted by their superior. Making use of Ataraxia, an ancient supercomputer powered by the remains of celestial beings, The Onirist managed to get fine control of those bearing a micro-chip. For the most part, they were convinced this was legitimately making people happy. But every now and then, they saw glimpses of the puppet strings leading all their actions, and they slowly realized something was wrong. Very, very wrong.

Hello! Here's the BBEG card I made for The Onirist/Urion, to match the ones made for the other baddies! I wanted to show a bit of Ataraxia in the background (fleshiness included). They've now cut the golden threads, and no longer respond to Solaralith, but Ataraxia itself has deemed them a fitting vessel. Alas, poor Urion!

The stone cold gaze painted in Urion's face revealed that something was deeply wrong with them. Gone was that politeness, that gentle demeanour. Their words were now stone-cold and anti-natural, as if it was something much more inhumane talking for the first time. "I am sorry," they spoke, "But free will is only going to get you hurt. Let me help- I can keep you safe. I must keep you safe."

So hello! Here's the updated very-villain-looking portrait for Urion! Through some lore-intensive stuff that I can't quite explain, the massive ancient meat supercomputer they were working with regained its consciousness, and with it, it remembered its purpose: To protect humanity from everything, including itself. And Urion just happened to be the perfect face to accomplish that, so uh-- They're now possessed.

It's fine, trust me. I've never felt this calm. Ataraxia has been taking care of me, and together, we are-- Yxala, Yxala, please, you need to hel- Been working on bringing happiness to the whole city! Thank you for asking.

So, I don't think Urion has been doing all that well down there (and Yxala has been rightfully terrified for their wellbeing). But at least I'm brainrotting hard enough with them to do a lil gif on the matter (together with their new fit!)
