Can I talk about this image from Rivulet's ending for a second?

(edited to add a break because the post is very Long TM)

If Five Pebbles knows that you are delivering the Rarefaction Cell, Moon pulls this message up alongside the dialogue;

"I cannot run away from my mistakes forever; Please understand." Five Pebbles, what have you done… I've been given so much already, and now you've given all you had left.

Based off of Moon's dialogue, this seems to be an inbox of some sort. We can assume that the orange symbol is basically Five Pebbles' profile picture. Which would mean that the pictures to the side are unread messages from other iterators, some more clear than others.

Based on what we know of other iterators, it is probably safe to assume that the green diamonds are No Significant Harassment, while the red sun is, well, Seven Red Suns. We also see that Pebbles' message got greyed out when Moon opened it. Now, this is all well and good for understanding another aspect of how iterator communication works, that being that they can basically send emails to each other. However, that brings up a few questions; one, who the hell is this blue iterator?

This iterator's symbol is a bit different from the rest, seeming to have the third and fourth karma symbol in their profile picture, alongside a diamond in between. There are three possibilities in my mind. I'll go from most likely to least likely:

This is Chasing/Grey Wind, trying to check up on Moon before or after her collapse. This would make sense, based on their dialogue in the pearls.

This is Unparalleled Innocence. Despite being a jerk to Pebbles, perhaps they checked on Moon at some point.

This is Looks to the Moon, sending a message to herself, perhaps in hopes of using the inbox as a secondary form of memory if she is able to access it. The inbox has at least lasted all this time, for as long as the broadcast networks have been down.

My second question would be; what is the content of the messages from Sig and Suns? I believe that, for Sig's messages, they're the broadcasts that we see him send to Moon before her collapse. However, they could also be Sig's attempts to get the slag reset keys to her without needing his messenger to do it.

As for Suns, they could be apologizing to Moon for what had happened. After all, they were indirectly responsible for her collapse.

I suppose my ultimate takeaway from all of this is; I like getting a glimpse at what iterators can do, and how they interface with each other and the world. I also enjoy speculating about trivial things, lol.

[ ECTOBERHAUNT 2023 BANNER ]

I'm doing the banner for this year's @ectoberhaunt event~ The theme is Science vs Magic

I had so much fun making this~ Sam get the fantasy AU fit while Tucker gets Cyber/futuristic style

I like the idea of Sam being a druid bc nature connection tm

And Tucker would vibe very well with fancy future stuffs. i was gonna draw him with a bigger puffer but I couldn't figured it out. I like the one we got here too so yay

Okay so I was a bit pressed on time while working on this so I couldn't do as much research and references as I should.

On Sam's part, the somewhat floating book was inspired on how genshin impact's catalysts have their books/weapon just floats and it looks fancy n magical n Sam deserve that honestly

Her glowing tattoo are highkey inspired of this beautiful Sam with tattoos art by @the-stove-is-on-fire Mine is nowhere close to that but that's my main inspiration for this

I was gonna give Tucker his usual orange sweater but I noticed a lot of neon or cyberpunk outfit relies on dark backdrop to pop.

And since the background color is gonna be bright yellow, I gotta put the dark color somewhere else. And his sweater would be the perfect spot to balance out all the brightness with a bit of darkness

And it matches with Sam too so it works out great uwu

The magic circles on their back were mostly there to balance out the composition bc it looks too empty as is, gotta spice it up a lil bit uwu But a direct halo would look.. too out there? I mean I can but like.. Sam is magic/fantasy based, why not lean on that n go for magic circles :D

Tucker's random bits on the background took the most out of me bc like.. its hard qwq I literally try to look up aesthetic bg to figure out how to work with his?? Eventually I just settle on less is more and added shadow under the bits to make em pops out against the orange

And for the color choices, I wanted the two of them to have purple, yellow, and green on them. The green color on to symbolize Danny bc I'm an Everlasting Trio shipper lmao

I wanted Sam to have some yellow and green on her magic, which kinda.. got covered with the whites honestly. But the greens stays with the vines so we'll go with that Tucker was harder to figure out, so I settle with him with blue and greens instead of purple qwq

In the end, only the green end up staying lmao It ends up unifying both sides so hell yea it all works out lol

Redtail!

Design Notes:

Redtail's red and more slender build came from his loner sire, but he got his dark black from his momma Rosebush! I gave him some pinker hued coloring as highlights (like on his tail tip) to reference Rose!

Also, the Redtail red tm skipped a generation to Squirrelflight hehe

Character Bio:

Title meaning: -tail = a cat with great balance and who always lands on their feet; often a jack of all trades as balance is used in almost every skill

Extra notes: Overall I like the idea of Redtail having a kinda sassy in a joking way personality, but he can be serious and knows when to make the tough calls for the good of the Order, which is why Blue chose him as Second.

Redtail was one of the cats to assassinate his sister's abuser, Thistleclaw. This was the only time the tom ever killed, and he felt no regrets.

Sandstorm had two littermates, Poppy and Flint, but they passed as young kits, this was very painful for Redtail and Birdfilght and they ended up spoiling Sand a bit too much. Sand's attitude was born from 4 things: 1: the trauma of her siblings dying, 2: the pressure from her dad being deputy, 3. her dads spoiling her, 4. Redtail dying.

Do you think you could review jubjubs?

JubJubs are one of those Neopets that are just certified Creatures(TM). These guys have a very specific aesthetic to them which I can best describe as an 80s retro toy look ala a Troll doll or Furby. However, they're much cuter than most 80s toys, sporting big eyes and soft fur. I've never been super into them myself, but I appreciate how unique they are compared to the rest of the Neopet species out there.

What's also interesting about JubJubs is that they're the only Neopet species without any upper limbs, which means that they use their prehensile feet kind of like hands. (This also causes them to not be super popular on the NPC front, as it's hard to anthropomorphize something that's literally just fur and feet. Which is a shame—I'd love to see more JubJub characters out there.)

I will say that my one basic grievance with them is that I never liked how they always have orange feet and eyebrows by default regardless of color. Feels like they should've just been a darker/lighter shade of the base, or a more neutral tone. Of course, plenty of PB colours fix this anyway.

Strictly speaking the JubJub's post-customization design is fine, but there's something just slightly off about it compared to the old art that I can't put my finger on. The foot always being up in the air is part of it, but part of it is also the eyes just being a smidge further apart and the fur being a more even shape. Still, for the most part they haven't changed drastically.

Favorite Colours:

Coconut: While not technically a species-specific color as Chias also come in it, coconut JubJubs are pretty iconic in their own right, appearing on Mystery Island frequently. Any JubJub color that plays around with their inherent roundness is fun, and I like the little tassels under the body that connect the feet to the rest of it. The orange feet also work better here, being a complimentary color to the brown.

(There's also an unconverted version, which sports crescent markings, different eyes, and a round mouth. It's not bad, but honestly it always felt really uncanny to me.)

Maraquan: What a nice color this is! Not only is coral a great fit, sort of playing around with the shape of their fur, but the colors are also beautiful—an orange-ish middle that becomes blue at most of the outcrops, with a complimentary magenta for the feet. Something about the mouth and nose here looks especially cute as well.

Halloween: Come on, it's a pumpkin! You can't not like it. While it lost its glowing eyes in the conversion, this design still looks great, sporting carved jack-o-lanturn facial features and a distinct pumpkin shape. The orange feet also now compliment the orange body, while the stem provides a nice pop of color. Great stuff.

(Side note: some of the unconverted art shows the pumpkin as more of a costume with a regular red JubJub inside. The converted version doesn't have pb clothing, and frankly I'm glad. It's much more fun to just think that it's literally a pumpkin than a JubJub that just happens to be in a pumpkin.)

Hello Arcadekitten!!! I read the Stellamb wedding post(s) and it got me wondering about how Stella’s wedding dress would look like… I absolutely love Sweet No Death, so I knew I had to make some artwork of it!! And, because I absolutely suck at explaining things through text, here is my interpretation of Stella’s wedding outfit in traditional art! ✨💫🌟

Materials Used: Mixed Media Paper, Ink Fineliner Pens, Alcohol Markers Gel Pens, Paint Pens, Highlighter and Mechanical Pencil

Time Took: 1 week

I don’t know if you’re okay with people sending fanarts and stuff to you, but I absolutely love your work and well, I’m quite proud of this piece (even if I probably shouldn’t be lol) as I worked extremely hard on this and wanted to share it with you! I hope that’s okay ❤️

A little artist “#Deep Dive tm” because I put WAY too much effort into the tiniest details and I am NOT gonna let them get overlooked 😤 /jk

-Stella’s dress is made with her signature colors rather than white, because I felt that with her being a Star Witch and all, a species that mostly has extravagantly colorful clothes (in my humble opinion) she felt that just going with plain white on what is possibly the most important day of her life would feel… well, a bit redundant, so she opted for a more ‘colored’ ballgown, with lacy gloves and a pearled veil and all. The local tailor and dressmaker is a bit confused, but Lambchop is definitely not complaining! ;) 💕💓

-(Well, that, and I also felt that the color blended WAY too much with her skin tone and changed it, but that’s my little secret hehe 👀😉)

-In my mind, Stella can make her hair look like it has a small galaxy within it! With actual moving stars and little twinkling lights. ✨💫✨⭐️🌟I think that she usually saves it for special, grandiose occasions, buuut since she’s not the kind of person who would THROW a grand, special occasion, she never unveiled it before her wedding day! (Poor Lambchop’s heart nearly gave out on the spot right then and there! 😭❤️)

-I didn’t add her usual Star hair clip because she already has like… 10 stars in her design already lmao /lh ⭐️

-As you can see, her bouquet’s… cloth? Fabric? I’m not sure what to call it… thing? The stuff that her flowers are wrapped in are Lambchop’s colors! Thought that it would be a neat visual detail… also, I can totally imagine Stella requesting that specific color scheme from the local florist! 💐🌷🌸

-Speaking of flowers… I decided to color in one of the moon daisies a little bit… differently hehe ;) It’s a small reference to the beginning of the game, where we see Stella change the color of the one rebellious moon daisy, from orange to lavender, except this time… she keeps it and uses it in her bouquet! 💖💗

-I like to think that it symbolizes Lambchop versus the rest of the townspeople… and Stella’s way of acknowledging him as a “real person”, at least compared to the others… one who is different, one who is unique… the one that she’s going to marry 💍🩷

-(it’s so absolutely sappy when she tells him so that he just couldn’t resist kissing her right then and there)

-And finally… (this is the last one I promise) I cut out the entire drawing to make it look like a potion bottle, partially because Stella is a witch, and partially because I had this cute lil idea that she stores all of her happiest memories into a magical bottle and takes it out whenever she feels sad, so that she can ‘experience’ it again and feel happier. Of course, with Lambchop by her side, she never really has to use it!💞🩷💗

-And yes, I also made the bottle have Lambchop colors as well 🐏 Just a nice little thing tying em together more visually… ❤️

…And I am SO SORRY for ranting!!! I worked incredibly hard on this piece (traditional art is NOT my strong suit, lol) but I wanted to make something special for one of my favorite games and one of my favorite game devs! So here it is, and I hope that you like it! 🤞❤️😁

Oh my goodness this is BEAUTIFUL!! The artwork itself is just stunning!! You took so much time on it and it really shows, especially with all your attention to detail in it(and I LOVE hearing your explanations for some of the choices you made!! They're just so darling!) As for Lambchop's outfit...I think I've got it envisioned in my head but I haven't quite drawn anything for it yet! Top hat, definitely. I think his suit isn't black. Probably brown! Bowtie on the neck. His pants are more like shorts and are cut juuuuust above the knee! Still wearing long socks with garters. He looks incredibly dapper--as he should!! It's his wedding!

Hopefully he at least looks good for the photos before he decides to get any mysterious red stains on his outfit. (It's fine. Stella could clean them with the snap of her fingers, but still!)

Orange Side Theory

For those of you who've known me long enough you are aware that I want the orange side to be a gamer. I have many thoughts about that but this is not the rant post for that. I want to bring up the idea of his logo being a broke NES controller to symbolize the loss of control when you're influenced by anger. I also believe the "dark sides" are more than they initially seem so I want the controller to be split in half and hanging by it's cords and wires so it also gives the illusion of the scales of justice because I think C!Thomas' biggest reason for anger is going to be because of perceived injustices (we've already seen that and again that is a much longer post).

Anyway, thank you for coming to my TedTalk (TM).

SOTU - 2024

Well, I'm forcing myself to watch the State of the Union while I grade speeches, so I figured I'd record my reactions and thoughts here.

Do I hope for the words "Immediate Ceasefire"? Absolutely. Will we get them? Looking at the track record, probably not. But I remain optimistic because otherwise I'd be six feet under by now; ANYWHO here is a list of my reactions/thoughts/general feelings of the evening's watch.

I do want to give a point of clarity: I technically am identified as a democrat; truly, I'm a socialist, but seeing as how the U.S. is stuck in this godforsaken two-party-system, that is where I am. Though both sides have me feeling very french-revolutionary-esque.

Of course the first thing I see if MTG rifling through her purse on screen. I quite literally despise her.

AP is discussing Ukraine's need for weapons and funding; I would truly rather us align with Ukraine than Isr@el. I will stand unapologetically firm for Palestine and Ukraine.

Who is actually in the cabinet? I know Blinken, Garland, and Buttiegeg. Damn, wish he was running again. Would rather have him than Biden.

How insane is it that the Sec. of Defense didn't even let the White House know that he had to go in for surgery because of cancer. Like, that's just bonkers to me.

Republicans truly look like fucking robots right now. No warm greetings, no hellos, simple nods.

Republicans out here wasting fucking time with that impeachment of Mayorkas. Like how about we house the homeless populations with the money they wasted on this circus.

Resident Evil's Dulvey Beer

I was going to make a post about this cute little RE7 easter egg I found in Moreau's quarters in RE8, in the form of a couple of bottles of Dulvey beer (Dulvey, of course, being the part of Louisiana where RE7 takes place). But since I can apparently no longer notice a detail like this without accidentally tipping myself down an endless rabbit hole of Additional Context, there is more. Oh so much more!

So instead, lemme tell you all about the weird, probably-accidental meta-narrative of RE's Dulvey Beer, and all the best/worst things that a little innocent asset recycling can bring to your franchise.

See, those bottles of Dulvey Beer (TM) aren't (just) a callback, they're reused assets from RE7 itself. You can find more bottles bearing that logo in a number of places around the Baker estate: on the table in the living room, lying around Zoe's trailer, etc. There's even a fridge in a side-room full of them.

But if you do notice Dulvey Beer at all, it's most likely to be because a bottle is rendered in lovingly high-def on the main game screen.

Nor is RE8 the first time this particular asset has been reused. There's Dulvey beer all over the place in RE2 and 3 as well. There are bottles lying around the sewers where workmen left them. There are bottles sitting around the security station in the Umbrella lab. Those brewers over at Dulvey beer must really be doing well for themselves!

In fact, one of the earliest trailers for RE2, creatively shot from a rat's POV, opens with a close-up of a spilled bottle of everyone's favourite Louisiana beer.

And really, why not reuse it? It's a perfectly good, existing beer-bottle asset, and who's going to notice? (Me. I'm going to notice. And apparently multiple other people who were onto them from the moment that trailer first dropped.)

Moreau's far from the only Dulvey Beer enthusiast in RE8 either. You'll regularly find bottles lying around in kitchens and junk piles ‒ oft as not next to a bag of Half-Whole Flour and a carton of orange juice (being some of the other most often reused assets from this franchise).

One place you won't find any, however, is in the Winters' home. Whether Ethan used to be a beer-drinker back before post-RE7-trauma left him unable even look at the label of the world's-only-beer-brand without experiencing horrible flashbacks, I do not know. But by the time of RE8, he is clearly (as Rose observes) a wine drinker. So much a wine drinker that there are places in his home where you can see nine different bottles of wine in the same shot. (Jeebus, Ethan, there are healthier ways to deal with trauma, y'know!)

But the Winters aside, Dulvey beer is everywhere. What presumably started as an asset meant for just this one family of Louisiana hillbillies has now implicitly become the only beer sold in Raccoon City too. By RE8, Dulvey Beer's international distribution has spread so far and wide you can find bottles even in isolated villages in Eastern Europe! Forget Umbrella, the global domination of Dulvey Beer has gone well beyond anyone's wildest dreams!

Realistically, of course, what we're seeing here is simply an artifact of casual asset recycling. When every RE game since 2017 has used versions of the same engine, it'd be foolish not to borrow perfectly good assets created for previous titles. It's more than likely the team behind RE2 just grabbed the existing beer-bottle asset without even noticing the label, or that they might have inadvertently cast a backwater like Dulvey as the home of America's Favourite Beer (TM).

Most fans wouldn't notice either. Resident Evil is not exactly the kind of franchise that primes you to pay close attention to every little detail.

A little 'lazy' asset reuse can even work in a game's favour. There's only a few generic wine bottle models in RE8 (all labeled 'Regina Rose'), but given that Miranda-as-Mia states outright that she's bought them 'local wine', is it any surprise to find those same bottles throughout Dimitrescu's castle and wine cellar? (Hopefully it's one of the her non-Maiden's-Blood, low-hemoglobin-content vintages, because otherwise, yikes.) But then, where else would Miranda source her wine from?

So whether that connection was intended or just an accident of asset recuse, it's a nice little detail for the attentive gamer. (Mind you, if that same asset does appear anywhere in RE2 or 3, some questions may be warranted.)

Sadly, I am obliged to admit that I could find not a single bottle of Dulvey Beer anywhere in the Spanish territory of RE4. Unlike Eastern Europe, apparently Spain is 'foreign enough' to warrant a whole new batch of generic kitchen/storeroom assets with Spanish names, and the only beer I could find anywhere comes with a new, confusingly blank label.

You can't even really tell that the label is blank from the angles here, but believe me, I spent long enough futzing around with the photo mode from different angles to be sure.

They're so blank I couldn't even say with 100% certainty that these are meant to be beer, but I guess Capcom will be able to get away with reusing them wherever the next game is set, regardless of the local language. And at this point, I can only look on that potential future with disappointment.

Farewell, Dulvey beer! If this really is goodbye, I'll gladly pour a cold one out for you.

I find it kind of funny that when it comes the Fast Forward characters TMNT fans hope make a comeback in other iterations, it's almost always the Dark Turtles that get brought up, but I personally ended up latching onto the Inuwashi Gunjin.

Like when comparing the Gunjin to the Dark Turtles purely from a writing standpoint, I get why the Gunjin get very little, if any, love from the fanbase despite appearing in just as many episodes. The overwhelming problem with the Gunjin is that although there are four of them, it feels as though they're only one character. The only one with a substantial amount of dialogue and thus characterization is the Gold Gunjin; the Red Gunjin gets a couple of lines in, but the Silver and Orange Gunjin never even speak outside generic grunts/cries in all of their appearances. As a consequence, the other three Gunjin don't really feel like their own characters, but merely extensions of the Gold Gunjin and thus aren't particularly interesting as individuals or as a group. In contrast, the Dark Turtles do have individual personalities and are thus inherently more interesting by that alone, never mind that their final appearance teased the possibility that that they were going to end up switching sides and joining the Good Guys(tm) (which would have happened had the second season of Fast Forward not been cancelled in favor of Back to the Sewer. Damn you, Back to the Sewer.)

However, I think the reason I like the Inuwashi Gunjin so much is because, to me, they are so profoundly tragic. The Gunjin are a proud race of warriors with a strong code of honor, and are clearly not bad people whatsoever. Unfortunately, because the wars they fought in ended and all they're seemingly good for is fighting, they were rendered obsolete--we have no idea what happened to the rest of the Inuwashi Gunjin but by the time of Fast Forward, the four we see in the series are seemingly the only ones left. When we first meet them in the second episode of the season, they are bound to stasis generators by Darius, which he uses to torture them and keep them under control "like dogs," as the Leader puts it, a situation that they spend their first two appearances trying to get out of. While they are eventually able to walk free, because they are the last of their kind, their final episode appearance had a collector of rare aliens capture them in order to put on them on display like trading cards. Knowing how much time they already spent in stasis thanks Darius, it's a pretty messed up situation to be in and goes to show how they're considered more of a unique novelty now than actual people.

Beyond that, I do believe that had more effort been put into their individual characterizations, the Inuwashi Gunjin would have been yet another interesting four group ensemble to contrast the turtles; however, whereas the Dark Turtles are their "evil" counterparts with the potential to be good, the Inuwashi Gunjin would have been older, more worldly versions of themselves to learn and take notes from. It is a fact that, thanks to advertising for a cancelled set of figures, we know that the Gunjin do have names; the gold Gunjin is "Leader" while his brothers (note: we don't know if they're actually related or if it's just short for "brothers in arms") are Hothead, Sage, and Joker. And the Leader Gunjin's characterization does genuinely make me think of Leonardo, albeit more mature and a bit wiser. Because of this, I can easily see Hothead as being Raphael but with more control over his anger, Sage as Donatello but not as hard on himself when he fails others, and Joker as Michelangelo but more focused and thus able to better apply his natural talents. All of this is just speculation, mind you, but it still would have been interesting had it actually happened in the show.

Overall, yeah, the Inuwashi Gunjin are a bit on the boring side and I get that, but like a lot of stuff from Fast Forward, they do have some great untapped potential and fandom is all about doing what canon would not, so let me have my fun with the metallic birb men, damn it.

"Hey angel... You're finally awake."

You opened your eyes, and there, your eyes met again those golden-orange eyes. The dizziness that you are feeling is gone; it's just a bit of pain on the back of your head, but you're positive that you can go home.

You ignored Hotaru and decided to sit, which made the man groan and help you up. "Don't touch me. Where's my phone?" You said, swatting his hands as you managed to sit. You looked around, finding your phone. Where's that goddamn phone?

Hotaru tsked and handed you your phone, which was resting on the table beside the couch where he napped. Oh, so he really didn't leave your side? You shook your head, trying your best not to think anything about him, even if he was there, standing in front of you with worried and annoyed looks on his face.

"What are you looking at?" You asked, raising your eyebrow at him. As he furiously stared at you, Hotaru groaned, crossed his arms, and scrunched his nose.

Yes, that look.

He always made that facial expression whenever you annoyed the hell out of him. And when we say annoy the hell out of him, it means it happens every single day before...

"I hate you. Why does it have to be you?"

You spoke once again, trying to add fuel to the fire. Your emotions, plus the stinging pain at the back of your head, made you feel so bad. Why does it have to be Hotaru, of all people?

But with a loud sigh, Hotaru just decided to sit back on the couch and look at his phone. His shoulders were all tensed, but he tried his very best to calm down. Hotaru doesn't want any arguments. Not today.

"You're calling Tomioka?"

"No. I told you he'd murder you if he saw you."

"You're exaggerating things."

"Fuck you, Hotaru. I hate you."

"Actually, it's obvious. You don't need to say it over and over."

You felt your anger rising within you, and when you could take it no longer, you threw your phone at the man. Hotaru caught your phone with ease and is now looking at you with an intense stare.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?!"

But before you could speak, tears welled up in your eyes until they finally fell down on your cheek. You hate it, but now all the memories have suddenly flooded your head.

You never wanted to see Hotaru, but why is he in front of you now? Pain hit your chest as you remembered all the aches that you felt six years ago because of him, when you were still a student.

You were in love with him. With his wonderful eyes, handsome face, and even his protective side. You loved the fact that the man was older than you, and there's this feeling of being secured because of that. Hotaru had always told you that he'd marry you once you turned 24.

But, of course, that never happened.

Things had suddenly changed. Suddenly, you were just a bothersome child that he could shoo anytime he wanted. You felt useless. You felt worthless. And Hotaru never did anything to make you stop feeling that.

All your friends hate it whenever they see you crying because of him. Giyu hated it the most. But what can he do? You were too smitten with the man, believing in the fantasy that you had made up inside your head.

"No Tomioka-san. We'll be okay. He'll marry me, so I know this is just a challenge for us."

"No. Why do you want me to hate Hotaru? He's not the worst. He's just stressed at work. We'll never know about that because we're still students."

"I know he loves me. It's just that he's busy."

You can never count how many times you defended him from your friends. But still, in the end, they are all correct.

You can still clearly remember the last night when you saw each other. Hotaru was busy with his work, and you tried to get his attention by embracing him. But what did he do? He shoved you away, telling you that you were a bother and that he didn't need you right now.

"Are you a fucking idiot? Can't you see that I'm busy? Why can't you get that through your thick skull? You're fucking clingy like a pest. Can you just leave me alone?"

And there and then, you decided that it was all over, and you left him.

You had cried for months, wishing he'd chase you. But did that happen? No.

And now he's here. Why does it need to be him?

Suddenly, you felt warmth on your cheek. When you opened your eyes, Hotaru was already wiping your tears with his handkerchief. "I don't understand the need to cry. But please calm down, angel. I'm here now."

But you don't need him now. If you could only disappear here, you would. You couldn't bear to see Hotaru, so you looked up at him and finally told him, "Please call Tomioka-san. Please Hotaru."

"Y/L/N-chan?!"

"Y/N?!"

It's three a.m., and yet the door to your hospital room opened wide. There, the two most important men in your life entered, panting as they went near you. Worry was evident in their eyes as they looked around and saw what happened.

"Babe. What happened?" Your heart softened at the sight of Sanemi. He caressed your face and embraced you carefully. On the other hand, Giyu, who was still in his pyjamas, held your shoulder and looked at you with worry.

Hotaru had left thirty minutes ago, but not because he was scared, but because you told him so. More like pleaded, as you can't stand his presence.

And yes, Giyu was looking at you with too much worry and anger, but of course, he isn't mad at you.

Giyu was sound asleep at that time, not knowing anything had already happened to you, when suddenly his phone rang so loudly that he shot up from his bed.

When he answered, he swears his eyes turned red in anger as a familiar voice registered from the other line. Hotaru had called him, telling him to go to you at the hospital. No further words came out from Hotaru, as Giyu has already threatened that he'll kill him if he ever sees him.

There, he called Sanemi for the first time. Fortunately, the man answered the phone that quickly. Almost groaning at Tomioka for calling him late at night. Yep, Sanemi hasn't slept a blink since he was worried about Koto-kun. But thankfully, his fever had already faded the moment Giyu called him.

"Y/L/N-chan is in the hospital. Come with me." That's the only thing he had said, and without any second thought, Sanemi shot up to Giyu's house, leaving Koto in Genya's care.

You decided to contact Tomioka because you didn't want to worry about your boyfriend. You even wanted to hide the fact that you were sent to the hospital from him because a part of you is scared that Sanemi will be mad.

But no, he was in front of you now, almost crying with fear of losing you.

Sanemi pulled out and sat beside you. On the other hand, Giyu decided to sit on the couch, where Hotaru had napped a few minutes earlier.

You held Sanemi's hand and kissed it. "Babe, I'm sorry." You muttered, waiting for him to get mad, but it never came. Sanemi wiped the tear that escaped from your eyes and smiled. "No, babe, it's not your fault. What happened, though?"

You gulped and felt a lump in your throat. How will Sanemi react if he knows that your ex was here earlier? But no, you can't hide it from him.

"I-I can't remember, babe. When I woke up, I was here. And... and..."

"And what, babe? Why didn't you call me?"

"I can't move earlier... and..." You tried to tell him, but then a part of you was scared. Tomioka seemed to feel this, so he spoke up. "Hey Shinazugawa-san, perhaps let's let her rest. I'll stay here. Your brother's sick, right? If you need to go home—"

"I'll stay, Tomioka. Genya's taking care of Koto."

"Sanemi, you don't need to." You were astounded to know that Sanemi's brother was sick, yet he is here with you. A pang of guilt hits you. "Sanemi. Just come back tomorrow. Koto-kun needs you."

"But you need me too."

"That's why I'm here, Shinazugawa-san." Giyu said as he stood up and placed his hand on Tomioka's shoulder. "I won't let anything bad happen to Y/L/N-chan. I'll definitely contact you if something happens. Believe me. She matters to me like she does for you."

Sanemi sighed and hugged you. "Sorry baby. I swear, I'll come back early tomorrow. I'll just inform the school that the three of us will take a leave because of this. Then I'll head here immediately."

"I know you will, babe. I love you."

Sanemi's purple eyes were fixed on you, which made you feel a warm sensation in your body. You absolutely adore this man. "Thank you, Nemi. Be safe, okay?"

After a few more goodbyes and Sanemi's reminders to Giyu, he finally headed home. He's still worried about you, but he knows you're in good hands with your best friend.

There, Giyu looked at you with his arms crossed. His expression went from worried to curious. You gulped; you knew exactly what would happen.

"Now. Tell me what happened."

You told Giyu how you had met Hotaru again and what happened when he was here. Giyu couldn't hide the anger on his face as he sat beside you and watched you as you spoke.

"What a twist of fate! Of all people, why him?"

"I know, right."

"If he ever lays a hand on you again, I'll cut them off."

"Tomioka-san..."

"Don't wait for Sanemi. He'll do worse if he only knew."

Do worse...Fear crept up on your body like a spider. You looked at Tomioka and bit your lips. Even if you won't talk, he knows what you are feeling right now, so he rolled his eyes and decided to calm down.

Tomioka caressed your arm and, "By worse, I mean he'll be mad at that guy. Not you. You never did anything wrong. If Sanemi ends up being like that bitch, I'll snap him in half too."

"Sanemi's different."

"Hmm, I hope so. But I'm here, okay? Nii-chan's here."

Your heart felt a bit calmer when Giyu said those things. It's just old times when he used to pretend that you were his real little sister.

When you woke up, Sanemi was already here. Clad in shorts and a black turtleneck shirt, you adored how wonderful he looked. You couldn't help but smile as you watched him unpack the food that he brought. That made your heart go fast.

"Baby, good morning." You said that, making the man turn to you with a smile. "Babe!" He immediately lowered his head to peck a kiss on your lips and gently caress your cheek. "Baby, are you feeling better?" He asked once again with his low tone of voice. You smiled and nodded.

The pain on your head is completely gone, and you know that perhaps tomorrow, after some tests today, you will be discharged. Sanemi held your hands and kissed them, staring at you with loving eyes.

"I never imagined seeing you like this in the hospital as early as this. Except when you're finally giving birth to my baby in the future." He smirked at you, making you blush, and hit his head gently.

"Idiot." You said that, but still, your smile almost reached your ears. He consistently makes you happy, which you adore.

Sanemi kissed your forehead once again and stood up. "Okay, so I brought you breakfast. I want you to be well soon. No worries; I'm a great nurse, as you see. Koto already felt better when he saw me. I guess my magic would work on you too."

"Of course it will, my love."

Sanemi's cheek turned a bit red with how you called him, yet he continued to help you sit down and sat beside you to feed you.

"I talked to the doctors, baby. They said a nice man had brought you here. Have you met him? I want to thank him."

Oh fuck. You hated the fact that you remembered all too well that the man who brought you here isn't nice at all. You hated Hotaru so much.

You just smiled at Sanemi, wishing that he'd drop the conversation. But then, before he could even speak...

"Good morning, angel— Oh, who are you?"

Aaaaak! I can't wait to finish writing the next chappy >.< I am just so excited as much as you are hahahaha!

So, Hotaru, a.k.a., you're fucking ex, is back! WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL HAPPEN?

(Don't hate me, I love Haganezuka so much if you only know TuT but it's just, his attitude fits the dumbass in my head while writing. But I swear, I also wanna be his waifu~ HAHA)

And yes, that Giyu part made me giggle like a school girl. I want a big bro like him XD
