1. How many works do you have on AO3?

13 and some are multi-chapter. All are BG3 except for a german Inkheart one

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

85.408 -that is a surprising amount of words for being active less than a year

3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

His consort, his god - I finally wrote smut for a popular ship XD (bloodweave)

At her mercy - kinky sapphic Karlach x Durge smut

Natures most beloved treasure - Halsin x trans masc Tav smut

Direct from Hell Logistics - ongoing Raphael x Haarlep comedy/angst/smut/plot - this one has it all

A song of snow and embers and Copper Hearts share this place. one is a F/F/F/F foursome and the other my Astarion x male Tav longfic

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I appreciate every single comment and try to show that. There's nothing better than the e-mail that says "comment on your work" and it can make my whole day. Sometimes I don't know what to respond if it's just a word or a keybord smash, but rest assured I see you and I love every one of those, too.

5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Angsty ending hmmmm. Because some of my stuff is not completed yet I am not gonna spoil anything but Dust and ash about Astarion's backstory was naturally quite angsty

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

Not. gonna. spoil XD

7. Do you write crossovers?

Not yet. Maybe I could count Copper hearts because I took Francys from my original work and planted him into Bg3

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

No, not yet.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do. I am exploring all kinds atm with preferably queer pairings wlw or mlm or nb. I can also write mlw from the men's perspective but not the other way round :D

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not as far as I know.

11. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Boy I wish.

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No and I am not sure if I could commit to a project like that.

13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Hmmmmm ... Raphlep probably

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

My german Inkheart fic with a genderbent lesbian Basta. Damn I was invested in creating this character, but gave up after a while because it was a lot of work and it being german and a niche topic in a small fandom was not very rewarding tbh. I know I should not care and maybe I'll come back to it when the Inkheart obsession comes over me again.

15. What are your writing strengths?

I am good at setting the scene. Atmosphere and small mundane details that make the setting feel alive. I have always liked that in reading as in writing, because it makes you feel like you are actually there when you can hear and smell and taste the scene.

Also I am okay at developing coherent plot, but that's mainly practice from writing a lot of og work before I started with fics.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

I still struggle with english grammar and punctuation at times so I always have a beta reader. And I am lucky to have great ones.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I am not a fan. It confuses me. Singular phrases and such yes, but not entire dialogue. Especially if it's german in an english fic I get super confused.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

*digs through her files* So, my first works were basically fic for my best friend's story. (I was in my early teens.) But since she was the author the lines between canon and fic are blurry and the "fandom" consisted of three people of which one was the author XD

So if we don't count that the first one would be Hunger Games - It was one chapter and I never published it

19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

We'll see what posesses me next I guess, though I think Bg3 will stay with me for a considerable amount of time. And ship wise ... I feel Durgetash creeping up on me.

20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

Definitely Direct from Hell Logistics. I am having so much fun with it. It constantly makes me laugh and sheme and I also feel all the angst. Also it is ongoing and I get to explore the story alongside the readers (though I have a rough plot structure to keep me on track).

1. How many works do you have on ao3?

four but we only talk about three of those😌🤘🏼

2. what's your total ao3 word count?

about 13.8k words (i have no idea where to look this up i typed it into my phone calculator lmao)

3. What fandoms do you write for?

on my ao3 marauders, in the Docs marauders, haikyuu, atla and on Wattp*d🤬 young royals & shera lol (i was like 15 years old ok)

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

🤓 my number 1 though is Always Pushing her Luck with a stellar one hundret and ten because yall are some sluts for a good lesbian smut fic

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

yes!! i love interacting with people on art no matter if it’s theirs or mine<3

6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

hmm i think Teeth actually? not really angsty but maybe it kind of makes you go 😬😳 or WAIT maybe my very first jeg microfic thing, the Stag one yknow.. where James is dead😁

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

again, from my ao3 one’s probably Ribs but microfics probably just all the fluffy ones, i’m looking at the cookie baking one here esp, also Walk and Carry

8. Do you get hate on fics?

nope! but i was lowkey concerned for the new non-con fic jdkskd But so far so good hahah

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

why yes i do. mm mostly the unhinged kind in some way hdksks but ig the lesbian wolfstar one is very tender too<3

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

not crossovers per se but we love a good AU of another fandom universe, my marauders Maze Runner Au is very dear to me, we’ll see if she ever sees the light of the day

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

no but! i will have to kick @pinkthekla cass and me in the ass to make it happen someday because the world deserves to see one james potter horny and humbled

this changes all the time honestly and they’re all very very close to each other but i’m gonna have to say iwaoi on top because their chemistry is just unmatched and something i hold so close to my heart, they just mean a lot of comfort to me! so thats prob why

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

hm, i mean i’m only 20 i have all the time in the world. but perhaps that one barty in a maids dress smut one shot? not sure i’ll come back to that one again but who knows!

16. What are your writing strengths?

i think i can do a dialogue quite good but it’s hard for me to get into a zone or scenario where it comes to that naturally, but whenever it does happen? i’m super happy and proud of the result (that’s why i like my hitmen jegulus microfic so much)

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

probably that i’m not really good at creating a storyline/plot djskks that’s something that does Not come easily to me and probably one of the only reasons i havent really finished any of my big fics or even their first chapters. If i have a plan/ a prompt or something in general i can orientate myself off of it flows super easily (all the microfics and Ant Pile) but coming up with something of my own is very hard and i often feel kinda bad about it too :,))

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

would love to, i have some smol things planned for mira mi amor that i will probably go and bother @appreciatedmoron bea about as well as my two irl bsfs since they’re quite good at spanish but besides that i’d only really trust myself with german since thats my first language

i really love Ant Pile atm but from my published one’s i couldnt really choose actually djsksk i really like the metaphors and visuals i came up with in Ribs though <3

(1504, T) Carlos watches TK with Lou Two and worries that this family won't be enough for him, for the prompt "Do you regret asking me to marry you?" TK assures him that the answer is an emphatic no.

A wedding countdown "cold feet" prompt fill in which Carlos doesn't want to marry TK after Gabriel dies. I stopped at 1,500 words, it was too fucking sad...but I'd like to fill in the comfort. lol

16. What are your writing strengths?

Not sure I've written enough to have strengths. I like prompt fills though, I think I"m pretty good at creating unique little scenarios.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Most of them! I'm new to fiction writing as an adult person. World building is probably the biggest in my mind.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Sadly I don't know any other languages well enough.

1) How many works do you have on AO3? - Honestly only like 3, I don’t usually post my fics on there bc I always forget. I need to sit down and do that. I have 11 on tumblr though.

2) What’s your total AO3 word count?- Like 30k

3) What fandoms do you write for? - Just Stranger Things atm. I have been considering a few other things lately tho.👀

4) What are your top five fics by kudos? - Again I don’t really post my fics on AO3 as much so I only have 5 on there lol but my top fics on tumblr are Beer and Bunny’s, Cat and Mouse, Best Mates, All You Have To Do Is Ask, and See You Again.

5) Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? - ALWAYS!! Sometimes when I’m feeling down about my writing I go back and reread them and it keeps me going/hypes me up.

6) What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? - I do not have a single fic that ends even remotely angsty. I cannot do angsty endings, reading them or writing them. I need my happy ending.

7) What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? - hmmm most of them honestly, but I really like the ending of Beer and Bunny’s. They’re so cute.

8) Do you get hate on fics? - I’ve never gotten hate before. I hope I give off a chill, in my own lane, kinda vibe.

9) Do you write smut? If so, what kinds? - Yesss lol honestly just nasty, pervy, unhinged smut. I don’t think I’ve ever really written any kind of soft smut. Not intentionally I’m just a whore. :)

10) Do you write crossovers? - I never have, no. I do have an AU based off my fav movie coming out soonish but it’ll be all ST characters still.

11) Have you ever had a fic stolen? - Nah lol idk who would take the time to steal MY fics

13) Have you ever co-written a fic before? - Yes!! I have a whole AU universe with one of my friends and I’m working on two other collabs w other people. 👀🤭

14) What’s your all time favorite ship? - Listen, I’m fucking basic okay? I will always love Katniss and Peeta. Also Raven and Alexander from Vampire Kisses but no one ever knows that series.😩

15) What’s a WIP that you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? - Sugar and Spice. It was a series I started before I told myself I’m not allowed to write multi chapter fics bc I put too much pressure on myself about it lol

16) What are your writing strengths? - I’ve been told more than once that my dialogue is good. Which feels nice. Also nasty smut.

17) What are your writing weaknesses? - Transitions tbh, I’ll get to a certain point and get stuck esp transitioning into the smut which is usually what I was trying to get to in the first place.

18) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? - I legit only speak English so I would not even try

19) First fandom you wrote for? - AVATAR THE LAST AIR BENDER lol zuko was my MANS

20) Favorite fic you’ve written? - See You Again, this one I’m just very proud of, and I love my OC girlfriend I made for myself and I just spent a lot of time on this one. I want to finish the prequel EVENTUALLY.

2. Which of your WIPs is currently the longest?

fae!carlos with 25,219 (!!! a lot more than i thought, i thought it was around 12k lol)

3. Which WIP do you expect will end up the longest?

i have no idea, tbh. possibly fae!carlos? but i can see demon!buck/angel!eddie getting pretty long too

4. Which WIP is your favourite to write/the most enjoyable to write? Why?

atm demon!buck/angel!eddie only because it's taking over my mind like no other wip rn. planning on adding more tonight and last night i started and it's already at 3.5k

5. Which WIP do you find the most intimidating to write? Why?

fae!carlos and buddie orgams delay. i think because i'm stuck on these. i know where i want to go, i have scenes i know i want to write, but for some reason i can't write them. it's infuriating.

6. Which WIP do you experience the most self-doubt about. Why?

ooohhhh that's easy that's all of them! possibly because i'm scared people won't like them? impostor syndrome is a pesky friend of mine

7. Which of your WIPs will you seek out a beta/sensitivity reader for? Why?

for fae!carlos i have @rmd-writes and @decafdino beta-ing (i'm so sorry i know it looks like i've abandoned it but i didn't! i swear!) with some of my buddie fics, i send some special snippets to @hippolotamus and @911-on-abc and talk to them about plot details on some of my fics.

8. Have any of your WIPs been struck by the curse of writer's block?

....why do you think a lot of them haven't been finished?

9. Which WIP has your favourite OC? Tell us about them?

none of them have ocs, unfortunately.

10. Which WIP is the sexiest?

buddie orgasm delay and tarlos pwp (even though that one lives mostly in my mind)

11. Which WIP is the angstiest?

ooohhh fae!carlos gets pretty angsty. when @rmd-writes read the rough draft of THAT scene, she lovingly and angrily called me an evil genius

12. Which WIP has the best characterisation (in your humble opinion)?

like how close they are to canon? or character growth in terms of story? whatever it is, i hope i stay close to their canon selves. and if it's the latter, perhaps either incubus!eddie/hunter!buck or demon!buck/angel!eddie

13. Which WIP has the best scene setting (in your humble opinion)?

this is probably one of my weak spots as a writer. so i'm not sure tbh

14. Which WIP have you worked the hardest on?

fae!carlos i think that's another reason i had to take a break from it.

15. Which WIP do you have the highest expectations for? Why?

incubus!eddie/hunter!buck -- only because i want to get it right. i have a very specific vision for it and i want it to be perfect

16. Do you dream about any of your WIPs?

yes! lol i wake up and immediately want to write but either work and school gets in the way

17. Do any of your WIPs have particular complexities that your other fics don't?

buddie bachelorette because i don't watch reality tv so i want to get it right for those that do (so here comes me starting to watch these shows and lowkey becoming addicted to all the drama lol)

18. Which WIP is the funniest or has the most humour?

buddie bachelorette, easy

19. Do any of your WIPs contain outside POVs or a deep dive on a character other than the main ship? How are you finding that process?

buddie bachelorette, there are some scenes that have taylor's (the bachelorette) pov and some with hen's and ravi's pov as the producer and camera man's povs i haven't written them quite yet, but i'm looking forward to the challenge!

20. Tell us one thing we don't know about one or more of your WIPs

so like some people have guessed in my snippet for demon!buck/angel!eddie here, maddie made a deal with a demon. it is doug and since she's not a human, she has five decades and not five weeks like a human would until her time is up. (but that won't stop doug)

rn it's just lone star!

4. what are your top 5 fics by kudos?

gonna cheat a little bc i have had my ao3 for too long and it's technically stuff i wrote when i was like 15 (that i'm on the verge of privating)

you saw the truth in me (911 ls) tryna catch my breath some way (somehow) (merlin) trigger my nightmare once again (merlin) the hiding out is done (911 ls) i'll teach you to love (merlin)

5. do you respond to comments? why or why not?

i try to! i am kinda behind on it atm because life has been so busy lately but i will catch up

6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

i can't do angsty endings tbh, my one guarantee with all my fics is that they end happy

7. what’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

i think you saw the truth in me wraps up pretty happy, esp compared to how heavy it started. possibly unrealistically so, but i wanted to give tk everything by the end

8. do you get hate on fics?

nothing big, maybe a couple rude comments over the years

9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?

as of pretty recently, yes. the smut in you saw the truth in me was my first time writing it and i was so nervous lol

10. do you write crossovers? what’s the craziest one you’ve written?

i have but not really anymore lol

i've had an idea and scenes stolen before

no, but i'd love that!

nope. it's something i'd definitely consider tho

....probably tarlos. they've consumed me in a way not many other ships have

15. what’s a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

i started brainstorming and writing another 4x18 coda but with everything else i want to work on, i don't think it'll ever get finished

16. what are your writing strengths?

i think i'm good at characterization, i feel like getting into characters' heads is something that comes pretty easy to me and it's definitely my favorite part.

17. what are your writing weaknesses?

describing setting / place is hard for me. i get so wrapped up in exploring what everyone is feeling that i don't spend enough time orienting the story. i've been trying to get better at it, because i think it adds another layer of depth and i love reading it, so here's to that lol

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

i've never done it, but i enjoy it sometimes, when it suits the character and the scene. if i ever did it i'd want a fluent speaker to read things over to make sure i'm doing it properly and respectfully.

19. first fandom you wrote for?

big time rush

20. favorite fic you’ve written?

made up of a thousand scars. it truly happened on a whim, the idea came to me on a lunchtime walk, passing by this house in my neighborhood that i imagined tk staying in. i had no idea it would turn into such a deep exploration of his recovery, but i'm so proud of how it turned out.

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? yes !! it takes some time usually but i want people to know i appreciate them taking the time to say nice things :)

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? i'd sayyy uh a carnival bear set free, which is a sumner/drax dead dove fic and leads directly into the endgame of the book which is angsty as hell in itself

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending? most of them have a happy ending!! i'm nice!! but my most recent one, eyes on the horizon (chuck/roger) has a cute ending that i really like :)

Do you write crossovers? nope, i don't like to read them, write even less. i have attempted a fusion/AU of existing media or two before but none of those have been published

Have you ever received hate on a fic? crabsolutely, some people will leave death threats in guest comments and that's just how it goes

What are your writing strengths? i think i'm okay at vivid descriptions and getting characters' personalities mostly right :)

What are your writing weaknesses? long plots, group scenes, dialogue/description balance if i'm not 100% clear on what i want to accomplish in the scene (either too much dialogue or too little. good lord)

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? with good reason it's okay. i've read very very bad things where the foreign dialogue was just jarringly out of place and it put me off it p much for good

What was the first fandom you wrote for? sigh. hollywood undead rpf 👍

What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to? i reallllly want to write hunt for red october fic.........stupid as hell but it's in my brain so much !! ramius/borodin intrigues me greatly (i think sean connery and sam neill should have kissed)

What’s your favourite fic you’ve written? hmmm.... i think it's let me under your skin, my small eastern european village armitozer au. i really really really love the vibe of it, it means a lot to me, and i'm still very happy with it almost 3 years after posting (jesus christ) which is very rare for me. read it :) or not. but i do like it so so much

Hi all! Looking for some fandom plots atm cause I’m missing my angsty babies hehe. I’m 25 and go by Tulsa and have been writing since I was probably 11 or 12?? Soooo for a hot minute lol. I’d definitely consider myself literate-adv. Lit as I’m able to pump out 3+ paras depending on the scene/reply. However, I will say, my favorite types of roleplays are around 2-3 shorter paras and rapid fire *chef’s kiss*. Non-rapid fire isn’t a deal breaker though, I know not everyone has time or attention haha.

RULES:

I’m just going to quickly jot down some loose ‘rules’ for lack of a better word, but I promise I’m really not too crazy strict lol.

The one rule I am STRICT on is that all of my partners need to be 18+. I prefer 20+, but I’m not gonna knock you if you’re 18 or 19, I know it’s hard to find partners.

I talked a little bit about literacy already, but just to specify I write in third person past tense and will always reply with at least a paragraph and I’d like the same in return. One-liners just make it hard to immerse yourself. I won’t roleplay with anyone who writes in the first person though, it lowkey makes me uncomfy…

I’m a sucker for some good smut scenes, especially when they include angst or come from something angsty or toxic (pls), so I’d prefer partners who are comfortable writing nsfw content. Of course we’ll discuss specific personal triggers together too, as for kinks though my characters have different ones based on THEM, not me. This has confused people in the past so just let me know if I need to explain any further : )

As far as doubling goes, I’ve heard it described in different ways by different people. The first way is just playing side characters to help world build and give the plot more substance/drama, that I absolutely do and would want my partner to do as well. Obviously our ship will be the main focus, but other characters bring the world to life! The second form of doubling I’ve come across is almost in a transactional sort of way? Kind of a ‘I’ll scratch your back if you scratch mine’ type of thing. I don’t do that. There are a few canons I can and enjoy playing in these fandoms that we can discuss me playing for you if you have a pairing you want to do, but I just don’t like when people EXPECT me to double for ‘fairness’ sakes, it’s a big pet peeve of mine….

I think those are all of the rules I have? Well, at least that I’m remembering right now lol. Onto what I’m looking for I suppose: I’m looking for partners who are open to playing M characters in MxF plots. I have ~some~ original ideas, but I tend to like fandom plots best. These are some of the pairings I’m currently craving, the role with the asterisks (*) around them would be who you’d play. The next role would be who I’d play, with their standing as a chara in parenthesis and then the fandom after the dash!

Those are what I have right now, at least for this ad. Please keep in mind, all of my original characters have bios/backstories that are at least a page long if not longer. I know some folks have their opinions on ocs, but even just taking a look and deciding no is cool with me : )

This ad is turning out really lengthy, but just one more lil section before I wrap it all up lol: the following is what I’d be looking for out of a potential partner.

Can reply at least once a day, but would prefer multiple times. (obviously this doesn’t apply if something comes up, just let me know, I’m not strict or scary, promise!)

Loves to gush about the characters/pairings/fandom we’re writing. I love getting invested and coming up with potential future plot points or doing aus or hcs about where they could end up. It’s all so fun!

In that same vein though, I do want to set a boundary: I don’t do anything that requires me to share my voice or get off of discord. I have super bad anxiety so any kind of call or sharing of personal info stresses me out a lot. I’ve tried it once and it all ended in a mess and I’d rather not get into it again, so please be able to respect that.

If you write primarily on Discord in servers, that’s perfect! And bonus points if you use tupperbox!

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

4. Very shameful... I have many, many fics started, and so many ideas, but I usually lack the energy to finish them, but slowly work on them. And while I do have a couple that are finished, posting them wouldn't make a ton of sense without prior explanation on a lot of things. So it stays in the vault for now.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

8,887! I need to publish a fic that's just one word now!

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Primarily Sharpe- but more often I've written for Tolkien, even though I've never published anything publicly to AO3, just tumblr.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

....I don't want to link the first one bc it's embarrassing, but it has 199 kudos.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Absolutely- I try to respond to every one I get. It's very rare I get comments for my fics, especially the Sharpe ones, so I treasure them dearly!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

This is going to sound terrible, but I usually don't write fics with angsty endings!! I always try and end with at least a silver lining. (And at least for Sharpe fics, canon already is pretty depressing, so I like to write happier things lol). I think it would have to be the one where my dúnedain ranger dies at the Battle of the Morannon, being snatched by a fell beast and dropped from a large height.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I think Home. I just love Teresa and Sharpe and Antonia safe and happy and loved 🥺 Though it's been so many years since I wrote it I might have to go back and polish it....

8. Do you get hate on fics?

No, thankfully. But the fear of getting hate is what's prevented me from posting most of my Tolkien ones, I would say.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes! I've got one in the works atm that I really like. I'm a sucker for hurt/comfort in general, but honestly, I'm game for any smut. I'm the type of person who writes a 2,000 word blowjob fic thats IMPERATIVE for the character development lmao.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I don't think I've personally written any fics with crossovers before. I guess like 12 years ago I wrote a Resident Evil/Silent Hill crossover but never got far into it...I posted it to LiveJournal lol. Those were the days.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

No, thank goodness. At least for Sharpe the fandom is so tiny it'd be hard not to notice if someone did lol.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope! Though I've considered translating my own into Spanish, I'm not quite proficient as I am in English and it wouldn't be the same.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Almost every single bit of writing for the Sharpe series that isn't posted to AO3 has pretty much been written with @properbastard. Sam and I pretty much every day bounce ideas off of each other and share one brain cell. But she also beta-reads my fics and often helps me when I'm stuck, so even if it's a fic I wrote myself, she's pretty much embedded into it too. And if rping counts as cowriting a fic, then yes, absolutely!

14. What’s your all time favourite ship?

If you're following me and reading this, you probably already know <3

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Personally I try not to think of WIP's that way. I think I have the potential to finish any fic, but I don't want to set myself up for failure by thinking I'll never finish something. Or maybe that's just me being in denial LOL.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think descriptions and maybe dialogue? I like to describe landscapes and set up scenes so that a nice image is painted and sets the stage for the main characters, so to speak. I also have a decent feel for dialogue, I think. Since I've very rarely written modern fiction, one of the most important aspects of historical fiction is being conscious of how characters speak. What words would they use? Do they shorten sentences, or not? What's their background? Upper class or from the gutter? Do they speak English natively? Can they use this phrase, or is that a modern one? I'm a stickler for it, and if I read a fic where the characters Do Not sound like themselves, I usually have to exit out of it.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Actually writing lmfao. I don't tend to have a lot of confidence with my writing, which is a shame, but I struggle a lot with that and second guess myself on a lot of things. I'm also incredibly slow- I have so many fics on the backburner just chillin' that I get overwhelmed just looking at and then don't do it, despite wanting to. I create a lot of obstacles for myself that I know don't need to be there, but I'm not sure how to get rid of them.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I've done it before! Least not in published fics. For Teresa, since I literally got a Spanish degree because of her, in the past I've incorporated a bit of Spanish into my writing to practice my lessons with her. It was really fun- and honestly, I think it can definitely serve a purpose in a fic- sometimes not knowing what's being said and being forced to extrapolate for yourself through context clues can really put yourself into another characters shoes.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Left 4 Dead. I was hugely into the Valve games, but L4D was my first foray, and probably my biggest and most popular fic. I had quite a few chapters and people really liked it on FF.net, and I would write out the chapters on paper in class, in middle school. I ended up deleting it because I had no idea what to do with it- no plans, no story, just writing as I went. I fondly remember a scene I wrote where Zoey was bleeding out and Nick used a defib on her and it worked <3 oh 13 year old medical knowledge....

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

I can't choose! I think I'm so critical of my writing it's so hard to like anything I write.

currently we deep in the k-pop trenches, collecting lil blorbos with compelling narratives and dynamics to smack together like dolls. specifically i've been writing for Seventeen lately, and previously for TXT and BTS, and because i am me, i write niche inter-band shit and collected a couple soloists to throw in for seasoning.

What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Addicted (to loving you) (Teen Wolf scott/stiles. no, idk either. please don't read it.)

pictures in frames of kisses on cheeks (checkpls bitty/jack/kent. pure fluff no substance the people love it)

love doesn't come in boxes (checkpls bitty/jack)

something good and right and real (hockey rpf benn/seguin, cowritten with @aperfect20)

drop everything now (hockey rpf bgally/agally, cowritten with @aperfect20. listen. these hockey fics are of their time and now they'll never leave the first page sorted by kudos.)

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

yes, all the time! it takes negligible time and brain power for me, and i like to let people know how much i appreciated hearing their thoughts, even when it was just a thank you and then we're in a lil awkward thanking circle.

What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

ok, i think it just has to be a tie between "only time is ours" and "34 Days", which are check please kent/jack fics about the same pre-canon break-up events, the first from jack's pov and the second from kent's (tho iirc they have different interpretations of events beyond the pov switch, too). they are inherently angsty bc absolutely nothing is good at the end of them.

What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

this is so hard to decide, bc i primarily write romcoms and by the end of them if your teeth aren't rotting i did it wrong. i will give a shoutout to "doesn't matter what we do", a bts jimin/j-hope that is all about just Letting Urself Be Soulmates and then grossing out ur bandmates about it.

Do you get hate on fics?

no, thank god.

Do you write smut?

yes i have been known to write filth. sometimes the romcom plot calls for it. i'm horrible at pwp bc i'm always giving it plot, but u kno, sometimes the spirit moves me and i manage it.

Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

crossovers of fandoms that have nothing to do with each other actually kind of squick me - i'm talking crossovers where characters who have never and will never meet are there for no reason (think superwholock tbh, tho i was uncharacteristically a lil into that at the time), not fusions or big universes with diff shows or whatever. it's just not for me!

but in terms of things where it's less drastic (crossing over bands in k-pop, for example) i am all over that, bc there's interesting stuff from real life there! my craziest example atm is a baekho/jun fic, and like, it's not that crazy!

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

i don't think so!

Have you ever had a fic translated?

yes, it's always so awesome that someone wants to take the time to do that.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

yessssss, my favourite way to create fic.

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

this is an extremely insensitive thing to ask a ship whore like me. there are some ships that REALLY set my brain on fire over the years, though. check pls kent/jack drives me insane to this day. harry styles/nick grimshaw was So compelling. 2012 oilers "kid line" (nugent-hopkins/hall/eberle) went off.

often fandom really makes these ships worth it to talk about and inspires me to contribute. i am often very compelled by one character in particular and just ship them with everyone possible so i can examine all their sides.

What’s a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

hmmmm if i WANT to finish it, i probably will. there are things that i ended up abandoning, though. one of those i'm still kinda sad about was a dylan/mitch/auston sequel to my connor/rystro.

What are your writing strengths?

i write realistic dialogue and i'm great at characterization (shoutout to the mean comment i got circa 2010 telling me to get good at characterization. i did. thanks.) my voice has always been strong, too.

What are your writing weaknesses?

i sometimes slack on depicting the interior emotions of characters. i'm not great with setting or exposition because the brand of fanfic i tend to write isn't a great place to practice those skills. i try to find places to do it, though!

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

it's the norm in k-pop fandom to drop in localization things like honorifics, and i like it because it can communicate relationships between the characters and so that it's not SO divorced from the context the idols actually live in. this is such a weirdly specific question, idk what else to say about it lmao

Favorite fic you’ve written?

choosing between my children? ok. at the moment i'm quite fond of too real to call it magic, a contemporary fantasy au where the main character is stuck in a dream. i felt really good about what i did with the themes and setting of the source material (a mv, so you're only 3mins and a quick google of the main characters' names away from reading this fic!) and the way i developed the relationship. it's underrated af bc it's a niche pairing.

3. What fandoms do you write for? Regularly, Zelda, miraculous, and Fruits Basket with a few others sprinkled in.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? "I only like red roses if they're from you" with 643 "Legends of Zelda (and Link)" with 285, "The Silence Between Them" with 179, "The Memories Between Them" with 88 "How To Tame Your Viking" with 77. Eternally grateful.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? I try to reply to every single one. I love interaction so much.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? The current Fruba fic I'm writing rn will most likely not have a very happy ending. In fact, I'm expecting people to be very mad at me.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Probably The Memories, because it had the most satisfying complete ending. And they finally kissed, thank god.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Not on the fics themselves, but on reddit and stuff where I talk about concepts vaguely, I've gotten hate for certain ideas. But even that is pretty rare. Fandom has been so kind to me.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Nope! I read it from time to time if it's in a fic that I otherwise like, but I don't seek it out, and I never write it.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? No, but I have entertained the idea of a spiderman/percy jackson crossover. Maybe one day.

i've been picking away at a PhD student au where ronan is a single parent to opal and adam is writing his doctoral thesis on different forms of grief for like, two years, and i love it but i don't know if i'm ever going to finish it to the quality i'd like.

i think i'm pretty good at understanding a character's POV, especially in regards to trauma/high emotion, even when i haven't experienced anything similar before. i know this to be a necessary skill that most writers have, but i do think i'm good at it.

too concise. it's the same crit i always got on essays in uni - this is good, but where's the rest of it?

my bones into your bones is the one i'm proudest of, and to the rib has some of my favourite lines i've ever written in it, but i think there are bones in the foundation is me at the height of my powers. it's my genre, it's a fairly fresh idea, and i had so much fun writing it - and on a time crunch, at that, to get it posted by halloween.

A mix of fluff and angst and OC’s and canon characters

Uhhhh, I guess Tearable paperwork because while that is three unrelated chapters, it’s got two chapters about decommissioning and everybody dies. So. That’s what I’m going with as angstiest.

That’s a lot harder because is snuggling the happiest? If so, it’s Bed warm, is it getting together? Then it might be A Most Important Question

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I only get good natured yelling or threats to kidnap my OCs. To be fair, but a handful of people read my fics, so there’s that :D

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I don’t but I’m inching closer and have actually progressed from kisses to non-explicit sex as topic. I don’t think I’ll ever be interested in writing explicit, explicit smut. Much more interested in the emotional side.

Not yet

No, again, too little people know they exist.

No, and I’ve got an author’s note that I don’t want translations.

Only in discord brain storming sessions

To read, Stucky or the Leverage Trio are high up there. Writing wise, I don’t think I have one (am I contractually obligated to name my OC ship here?). I’m always more interested in the characters and like to explore different ships with them.

15. What’s a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I’ve got one about Waxer and Hics (OC) talking after Hics was named. But it's been fighting me so much.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think emotions and twisty bits of pain or world building.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Descriptions. No doubt about that one. I don’t tend to think visually, so I have to go back in a fic to make sure I’ve mentioned the setting or positions of characters. Or how they get from point A to B.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I think a bit is fun, but not to the point where it’s not understandable without translation (unless it’s the whole point if the POV character also doesn’t understand). But if you want to include it, have it checked by a native speaker. I’ve noped out of so many critical role fics because Caleb’s german was just… bad. That absolutely breaks immersion.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

The Witcher which is also the only other fandom I’ve written for.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

Oh that’s a mean question.

I really like the flow of It's all in the hands and I’m really proud of Please, can I?. That also might be because that is fresh in my mind.

Hey this is my-hero-lemillion, I read one of your other fics and I was wondering specifically why you like dkbk over bkdk and also why Katsuki and Izuku prefer it that way in your fics? This isn’t meant as anything negative! I’m just trying to understand better where they’re coming from because it still seems the opposite of what I’d expect 😅

Woof, this is kind of my can of worms question, so I'm just gonna dump under the cut. But to answer part, I tried sooo hard not to really say that the boys prefer dkbk in Feel It In My Body, but I also, like...just kind of couldn't help it, because it's my preference. And I wanted dkbk to be the way they continued in the next scenes, so I kind of had to justify that. But in my head, they're switches. I think it makes the most sense, and I think in the Feel It In My Body universe they would be, probably more so as time went on. As for what my heart wants, it's dkbk only and I'll explain under the cut.

Obvious disclaimer, these reasons are all just about what feels good in my unique brain with all my unique predispositions. The last thing I want is to contribute to the divide between bkdks and dkbks, so this is just me vibing in my little bubble. I've enjoyed bkdk content in my time and will certainly continue to come across great ones, but it's just not my preference atm. With that out of the way, remember, you asked for it 😂👀

So, dkbk is the opposite of what most people expect and, for me, that's a lot of why it works and why it hits harder. I actually was a bkdk first when I was first exploring the ship, because there's a lot more content for it, and so that's what came up. It made sense, it was good content, and I enjoyed it. Then I read some dkbk doujins by the illustrious Cai, and, well, I was a goner. Cai's stories are angsty and complex and tense and that was a beautiful introduction into dkbk.

For me, dkbk lends itself to complexity because bkdk is the more obvious route. Where bkdk is straightforward, dkbk creates tension. Where bkdk is stereotypical, dkbk is subversive. With bkdk, you often have an inherently, like, bossy and demanding and powerful Bakugou and a Deku who is so willing to give Bakugou what he wants. This is not bad and it's not out of character. But--and I don't want to lean into the territory of bashing bkdk--for me, bkdk fics very easily step past those traits into characterization that I don't like. A feminized Deku who, like, bends so easily to Baku and a Baku who's just rather aggressive, tho usually at least somewhat loving, without a lot more depth.

Granted, the more time I spend with dkbks, the more I see equal and opposite content from them, tho it did take a lot more time for me to come across it in such quantities. As someone who really just likes strict canonverse settings and characterizations, I just can't get into feminization and size difference and a bkdkbk that are too simplistic in their relationship, lacking the many colors in their characterization.

Dkbk lends itself to that complexity. You have a Deku who leans into the traits that he's been developing since the pilot. His authority, his power, his strength, his confidence, and his generosity. Really sexy traits that I do believe will only grow as he becomes an adult. Because of this, Deku's traits are not only more attractive to me in dkbk, but more compelling. He's much more interesting, to me, as a guy who takes charge than one who--apologies for the turn of phrase--bends over. And I think it's very obviously who he's become in canon, so it's hard to read anything in which he loses his traits of stubbornness and even greed. Those are big Deku qualities and they aren't as present in bkdk.

And, of course, Baku's my favorite character, so a lot of this is about him, and what bottoming looks like on him. When I look at bkdkbk, I see Deku who's happy to receive any kind of love from Baku. Meanwhile, Baku has many more walls up around his relationship to Deku, and even though sex is intimate regardless, it feels like an extra layer of the onion peeled away for him to allow Deku inside him, to do something he might fear as submissive (even outside of bdsm). It feels like a larger gesture of trust to me than Deku bottoming does, because I don't think Deku would really think twice about a difference in intimacy between topping and bottoming. He's used to not having control, and even though he loves having it, I don't think that he would feel out of control with Bakugou, if he were bottoming. I think Bakugou would, at least at first.

I also think that Deku would know how big it would be for Baku to trust him like that, and that it would truly mean the world to him. In an even bigger way than having sex in other ways. That Baku would be trusting Deku to take care of him, something that I imagine it would take ages for Baku to do in any right, much less in a romantic relationship. This would mean years of progress, and that wouldn't be lost on Deku for a moment.

I mean, all of this really comes down to how much of a softy I am, doesn't it? The dkbk dynamic lends itself so well to lovemaking in that regard, with Baku being vulnerable and Deku being giving. I love seeing Baku be able to let go and Deku feel like he's providing, that he's doing right by his lover. This is when these two characters are at their most attractive to me.

There are also so many interesting storytelling opportunities to have with a Baku who struggles to let go and a Deku to coax him through it. On any number of levels. Then getting to the other side with a Baku who allows himself to feel good in this way after being initially hesitant is so rewarding. A Baku who lets Deku in after being initially hesitant. For me, everything on the other side with dkbk is so much more rewarding than with bkdk.

In conclusion, I can't say for sure what the boys would really like anatomically. Some of top/bottom preference comes down to mindset, of course, but a huge part of it is obviously body-centric, and these are not embodied characters. It's all conjecture and preference. I don't really care for the conjecture, but I do obviously feel strongly, in a personal sense, about my preference. I only seek out dkbk at this point, but still occasionally consume bkdk either in djs or in highly recommended fics. There is simply miraculous content on both sides and there's truly shitty, can't possibly speak of it content on both sides. The more time I spend on one side, the more I find of both sides of that spectrum. And, to be fair, a lot of what I've just said probably exists more in my head than it does in the fandom itself, since bkdkbk is such a popular ship that, really there's so much of every kind of content for it out there these contrasts I'm making are nigh on useless. There's too much content to ever be able to consume enough to draw real conclusions. Most of what I've said is honestly how I see the characters in my writing, and, well, since I've retired from writing nsfw, it's nearly moot. That aside, it's just how I narrow down what fics I seek out and most highly rate, review, and rec.

I do appreciate the question tho, and god save ya if you read all the way to the bottom here, haha. I do find it an interesting one, tho it so often stirs up negativity. I'm not trying to encourage you to be a diehard dkbk like I am, and I super appreciate your willingness to explore both. Like I said, there's top tier stuff on both sides, and it's a blessing to consume any of it.
