STEVE & BUCKY'S LOVE STORY, UNABRIDGED SOMEWHAT ABRIDGED, part 2/3 (here is part 1)

picking up from where we left off:

some 65 years into the future, steve's plane is fished out of the ice, and they find him, frozen like a sexy hot-dayum popsicle, but still alive thanks to the same super serum that made him go from Smol to Lorge.

steve is thus brought back into the world, but it's a world he no longer recognizes after all these years; a world where all the people he used to know and love are long dead, and his own face has been turned into a tool for propaganda over the years. obviously, he has a hard time adjusting, and he turns to fighting again, joining this group of kinda possibly superheroes, aka the avengers.

lots of exciting new things happen, sure; but steve is still pretty miserable. until one day, a mysterious masked assassin dressed in bondage gear (but not really), and sporting one very shiny metal arm (!!!!), is sent to kill steve's sort-of-boss. and then to kill steve himself. oh no!!

in what is possibly the most gripping, most visually pleasing hand-to-hand fight sequence in the history of cinema,

(NO BUT SERIOUSLY, all jokes aside, if you've never watched it then please do bc it's!!! *shrieks* so fucking good!!!)

a fight sequence which also happened to unlock both steve's and an entire fandom's competence kink with that little sexy knife-flipping trick alone -- i know you know what i'm talking about, don't you lie to me babes--

as i was saying, steve manages to knock the mask off of his opponent's face. and who do you think appears before him? can you guess??

DING DING DING!!! EXACTLY!!! IT'S HIS LONG-LOST BAE BUCKY! who apparently doesn't recognize him??

confused and upset, steve fights to uncover the truth. turns out, the man is indeed the very same bucky he grew up with and loved. only, he didn't actually die in that tragic fall in the ravine; rather, due to the experiments performed on him while he was a war prisoner, he survived long enough to be found and captured by the enemy. who then proceeded to torture and brainwash him, using him as a tool for murder against his will, and literally putting him back in the freezer when they didn't need him.

which, as it happens, is how he stayed so young in the first place: he, uh, spent the better part of 70 years frozen. yeaaah, are the parallels paralleling or what, hmmmm?? preserved in ice like your mom's best lasagna from last week? plunging to a 'death' that isn't really a death? waking up in the future kinda screwed over? :D

ANYWAY

steve is even more devastated than before, now that he's learned that while he was asleep in the ocean, bucky was out there suffering. when he finally confronts bucky again (and it's fucking epic and also fucking heartbreaking, believe you me) steve is desperate to bring bucky, his bucky, back. knowing in his heart that his bae is still somewhere in there, no matter how deeply buried.

in the most critical moment(TM), steve chooses to stay behind, on a plane that's about to fucking blow up around them - just like bucky did for him all those years ago - because if he can't save bucky, then he'd rather die with him.

only, bucky is scared and confused af at the moment, and he attacks steve, because 1) he has a mission after all, he's supposed to kill this guy dammit, and 2) wtf is even going on here??? who IS this man, WHY does he keep saying that they've known each other their whole lives?? and WHY does bucky feel like he's actually seen him somewhere else before?????

AND HERE IS THE PIVOTAL MOMENT OF ALL PIVOTAL MOMENTS: for the first time in his life, steve refuses to fight back. like he literally drops his shield out of the plane and into the river underneath, in a very powerful and symbolic gesture, signifying his surrender: he's not going to hurt bucky anymore, no matter what. THIS FUCKER LITERALLY LETS BUCKY BEAT HIM TO A PULP, WITHOUT EVEN TRYING TO DEFEND HIMSELF, 100% ready to let bucky kill him if that's what's gonna happen here, because that's still better than living in a world where bucky's gone - a world where bucky will look at him and only see a target, or a stranger at best.

and then!!!!

no this is like, this is THE most romantic shit, okay, like you could try to convince me that it isn't for the next hundred years and i wouldn't buy it, because. BECAUSE.

at the very last moment, steve finally manages to break through bucky's brainwashing, breaking the metaphorical spell bucky was under. and do you know how he does that? i ask you, do you know how steve does that, my love?

by repeating to bucky the very same words bucky offered him way back in the beginning, when he proposed asked steve to move in together. till death do us part the end of the line, baby. romeo could NEVER

bucky, who was about to deal the fatal blow, freezes instantly, finally recognizing the man under him.

and when steve falls out of the plane, bucky jumps after him, instinctively saving his life instead.

but bucky can't stay. confused, wounded, vulnerable, and only just beginning to remember who he used to be and what was done to him, he slips away and hides from steve - and from all the other people who might be looking for him, and probably want him dead. you think this is gonna stop steve, though?? now that he knows that bucky is still alive, and that he remembers him??? now that he knows that bucky's not lost to him forever?? AS IF!!

February CPNs

hello! it’s that time of the month again that i compile the sweets brought to us by the boys! this month started out very quiet but in this fandom will mean that things will take a turn in the next week/s. you just never know what will happen next. i have added some commentary here on certain incidents that i didn’t talk about separately on my blog to have “bonus content” for this round-up.

• XZ’s GQ cover and collaboration sweets + additional ones connected to fake rumor

• not really cpn, but our boys continue to make it in the weibo hot search trend report - i still hate sina weibo but i understand how it’s relevant for them.

• XZ’s wedding suit from the AV festival. yes, this was made for him but we just had him wear that white backless wedding suit by jacquemus for GQ and now this? hmmmm. me thinks he has a preference? lol. he prefers white and that’s fine, but the choice of what looks like a wedding suit is 👀. i am on standby, let me see if this continues.

pair it off with WYB! and it’s perfect. tho i would prefer it if they are both in white. 🤍

• xzs has the same caption as a cpf

• yibo’s watch and gg’s GQ props connection the number 91 and 3.

• chinese new year candies - gg’s weibo post, wyb’s red envelope cover clues etc

• rufeng shares new thailand fm rehearsal footage

• tencent video posting their new year vcr so close together! they could have easily posted it one after the other but maybe they didn’t want some solo fan drama. i’m happy that bobo continues to collab with 10c, and ZZ is not exclusive to 10c anymore— so hopefully this means in the future they can work on a project together <3

• clowning over XZ’s song in spring festival gala as you wish + same composer as wyb’s singles and how wyb was listening to a song from this artist lately.

• this parallel between their looks. it’s not just their characters that match each other, but their outfits from certain events. so classy!

but i think this one is the best. seeing them get recognition for their acting in the past few months has been very rewarding. all the hard work and challenges are bearing fruit. remembering them talking about wanting to become professional actors and really take that path — studying and dreaming together. now here we are 🫶🏼

• a cute tidbit, but the cat xz is playing with is called xiao wang. that’s because on it’s back looks like the character for wang! what a coincidence!!!! 🥹

• Bottled Joy stirring the CPN pot again by posting this on 2/13. As You Wish. The context of the post is that, as you wish — fans can get these wallpapers and photos of Bobo. but it’s a coincidence cause it’s the english title of the song GG sang @ BRTV Spring Festival Gala. 👀 the colors too, white and silver which is the same color combination of GG’s outfit. This may be meh to some, but knowing Bottled Joy’s cpn history, you can’t blame us.

• Golden Hour and Eason Chan songs @ yibo’s playlist

• Small weekend roundup - includes mention of asian pop magazines where the boys are both mentioned, supplement to xz using tickets for his spring festival photos last year as support of bobo’s movie and the phone card case appears.

• Rumor of Wang Yibo being in Hengdian - one / two / three ( i feel like this one is up there with the leica camera and gg’s bday cpn but this one is more risky on their part. as i have said in my posts, what is important is they are safe and happy. it’s their personal life. their relationship is between the two of them. as cpfs, we should be protecting them and not be people they are wary of. if we are not careful, we are no different from ss and yxh. )

• On 2/20, Yuehua & YBO have posted about the slander recently going around related to WYB and that they have reported it to the police. This went really high on HS and was widely talked about, even Du Hua reposted and reacted to it. Hours later, XZS has posted their own reminder to fans in relation to people disturbing his drama filming. What made it more important is that XZ reposted it too and put in a very firm reminder to everyone.

to give some context, the horrible rumor regarding WYB was spread around by mostly XZ fans. There was a melon that said “X” has STD and then toxic people started saying it’s WYB ( cause toxic xz fans doesn’t want it linked to XZ because of the clue given so they throw it to WYB. i know it sounds stupid, but it’s actually a common tactic done by both sides ) and even fabricated some photos. another actor, xukai was also implicated and he also reported to the police.

so this can be read by so/os as XZ&XZS trying to cover up for the toxic solos and what they did. i get why other people will think that and i personally wanted them to address the bad things his solos do. however i also understand why xz and his team can’t “betray” the solo fans. that’s just how it goes. however, in cpf interpretation, this is XZ’s way of taking away the heat from wyb and a way of putting a stop to the conversations about that horrible lie. it worked in a way that it went on HS, but not as high as WYB’s. I was also surprised that XZ reposted it himself. i am aware that the leaks and everything else is a serious issue and XZ is someone who hates being a bother to the crew. but he usually doesn’t do this. he usually leaves it to XZS or the drama account. This tells me that he personally wants to lend his name and his weibo account, to get more of the heat. The last line he said can also be a message to his toxic so/os: respect others and respect yourself.

• On 2/20, there were tarot readings some BXGs have enjoyed. One is this that is a new year CP reading done on 2/4. What made fans 👀 are:

1. this card, where OP said it’s them being hand in hand and don’t get tired of each other. and in the background is a sacred building, which symbolizes them having a vow to each other.

more cpn was added into it when GG did MFW and people realized not to take this literally cause it could be representing the Duomo.

2. Here is the part that was v interesting to cpfs cause this person gave a prediction that followed what we cpn and happened in the next couple of days.

The two of them haven’t had many official activities recently. So from February 4th, there is a chance for the two of them to meet each other in the past few days. And as soon as the two of them meet, they won’t be going out. Yibo knows he is active but he will close up and be willing to hide at home for XZ.

this is so close to what we speculated! that they spent a quiet cny break together. 🥹🥹🥹

3. Next one is so on point it’s scary cause i have already discussed the bad rumor going around and was directed at WYB before this entry. OP was sort of right. tho i don’t know it this will be another hateful rumor, i hope not.

My prediction is that it will be in March 2024, around this time, I feel that WYB will have a a force of public opinion surrounding him. It's unfriendly to him. This power of public opinion including but not limited to WYB. If we use the 8 of Swords to understand the external environment, it is a relatively sharp. There is some public opinion about the two of them that may cause some trouble

If something happens to WYB, XZ will immediately rise up and have to rush out to protect him. XZ will work hard behind the scenes silently in his own way and are some practical actions.

I don’t think i need to further explain. It fits what happened in 2/20. 👁️👄👁️

4. WYB’s resources for 2024 will be very good. In the first quarter, the number of resources was not very large but the quality of the resources is very good. Then the Queen of Pentacles in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Queen of Cups.

For context: The Queen of Pentacles, therefore, depicts a certain level of success and prosperity. But the rabbit at the bottom cautions us that we should be careful of where we leap when we are chasing that success. Queen of Cups - Generally speaking, this is a positive card for both career and finances, suggesting you're "in tune with yourself, have a good work-life balance going on, and overall a positive job experience.

The reading is close to 1 hour long and I just can’t translate it all so i’m going off what CPFs are highlighting.

• XZ’s pre Milan flight Gucci & camcorder cpn

• Fake Rumors : getting caught kissing / spending time during CNY

• XZS first post in Milan is the invitation given to XZ by Tod’s for the show. Those who had the same time as Milan saw the actual time stamp which is 1823. A beloved kadian number!!!!!

• xz’s collar and whole look for GUCCI MFW gave us so many thoughts. lol. i know sexualization of the boys is a complicated issue in the fandom but when things like this happen — how can we stop? lol. no. but seriously. it is what it is.

• checking their fingernails + similar pose to HB

• a comment that implies xz went to zhuhai with wyb to ride a motorcycle

• their photos match so well. 🌅

from zz’s post in milan. it’s filled with the elements they love like the moon and a beautiful sunset background. gg was also showing off his re web shoes which is of course, because he is a gucci ambassador and all that but the “web” cpn is getting stronger. however, i am personally losing my mind over the implications in the caption he used.

• 8 fake rumors from CQL shoot/era that i posted about 📝

Propaganda for Smoker x Law:

Their interactions on punk hazard are just hhhhnnnggghhhh. First they fight against each other and then they have to team up! The sexual tension is through the roof 👀 and they fight so well together too 👀 also law LITERALLY stole smoker's heart?? Sorry for being incoherent that's just what they do to me

I read it in a fic and it was compelling also it would be cool if they both knew rocinante

Law literally stole Smoker’s heart during the Punk Hazard Arc - they saved each other during the Punk Hazard Arc even if they were enemies - classic “Enemies to lovers” energy - perfect matching personalities (INTP x INTJ) - the thrill of a forbidden love between a marine and a pirate.

They have. SUCH a divorcee dynamic listen. - Law literally stole Smoker’s heart in the Punk Hazard arc. - Even though they were enemies, Smoker fought against Vergo and stole Law’s heart to give it back to him, hurting himself A LOT. - at the same time, Law saved Smoker from Vergo and gave Smoker’s heart back even if he didn’t have to. - the way Law smiles when fighting against him and getting on Smoker’s nerves (a lot of tension here hehe). - Smoker’s a marine and Law a pirate, what’s better than a forbidden relationship? - their personalities match perfectly (INTJ and INTP).

SUCH a divorcee dynamic. - we all love a forbidden romance between marine and pirate - the way they interact with each other on Punk Hazard is at the same time easy but full of tension, they clearly have some familiarity w each other - ...and then later they manage to work together seamlessly despite those tensions and differences, and Smoker trusts Law to pick up the slack where he can't. And Law DOES follow through - after the battle Law TELLS Smoker what he's planning next - yeah it's all purposeful for his plans but it's such a clear and obvious manipulation. And yet Smoker does exactly that. - the guy sent to Dressrosa is Issho (which ok Sakazuki says he sent BUT what a funny coincidence still that it's the one guy who's most likely to help Law rather than hinder hmmmm) - when Doffy shows up after Law&co have left and demands to know things Smoker just straight up stonewalls him and lies to his face, with the full knowledge that it may cost him his life. Which yeah, Smoker hates pirates, but he doesn't actually have any reason to do that - if he really didn't care he wouldn't mind siccing the two warlords on each other and watching them destroy themselves so he at the very least must agree with Law if not outright want to help him - delicious narrative parallels! Bc fundamentally they're two sides of the same coin: both are absolutely driven by their personal moral codes and care DEEPLY about people and things. Law may be driven largely by more self-centered goals and focus his good on the smaller circle he chooses to surround himself with, while Smoker is drawn to more lofty pursuits of greater good and helping even those he will never meet or even know of, but at the core they share very similar ideals and values - and ykno. Law LITERALLY punches Smoker's heart out of his chest - also Law is a scrawny-ass twink and you cannot tell me he doesn't have a thing for buff dilfs who could bench press double his weight.

Propaganda for Law x Robin:

Their intelligent goth energy combined would be off the charts

Their backstories parallel each other perfectly! Home destroyed, hunted from a young age saved by a kind marine. Spoilers ahead: They're working together to figure out what the history of the Will of D is, and what happened in the void century! She was the only person Law trusted enough to reveal his middle initial! Also, they could do horrible things together if they decided to use their devil fruits as a team. So many limbs in places they shouldn't be.

Smart, sexy, sleek, intelligent, empathetic, humorous, *might get flustered on occasion*, hobbies: riling up Usopp. Terrific and morbid sense of humour. Just *get* one another. Very close to one another in both age and height!

Omg. I cant believe i forgot to mention the parallels between the two scenes in the loft in my main 7x05 post. It was going to be one of the main topics then i just. Forgot 🙃

But! Here we are now! I wont analyze it too much cos im sure someone else already has and i am Big Eepy, but i did want to acknowledge that there were many similarities!

First off, the lighting was so similar! So soft, so comforting. Amazing. Love it

Also, occurred in the kitchen? Small detail? Or big indicator? Hmmmm

Both scenes were just. Soft. Vulnerable. I love it

And the parallel of “Call Eddie” and “Call Tommy.” Idk. That is what sticks out to me the most.

Are there any other parallels that i missed?

When Neil looked up he saw his reflection, and instinctively recoiled. It was almost comical, the way he moved in that moment, and he wondered for a second after if a bystander noticed him and laughed. His arms tensed up, his eyes widened, and his entire body flew backwards like someone pushed him hard enough to fall. He was lucky that he didn't spill the coffee, lucky especially because it was too expensive for its worth, but Andrew liked this cafe more than he'd like to admit.

Neil tested himself, sometimes. He straightened again in his seat and stared straight ahead. if he let his eyes rest, his vision blur, he could see past the glass, could see the bystanders that walked by in a hurry, or the dogs that stopped to bark at each other, or the way that the leaves hanging from the trees swayed in the wind. But this was one of those times. Neil let his vision focus on his target, let his picture gain shape, slowly, on the surface.

It came together, broken.

Neil Josten can not exist without his past. Despite that, he sometimes wishes that he could forget it. Was there any reason, really, for the scars that litter his face? What is he when you peel this all off, let the rawness of his heart speak instead? The lines on his face felt like broken puzzle pieces. His blue eyes, a monster, a certain death. Maybe these reasons are why his reflection scared him - he could not see his face without seeing what once was, what once happened, what he ran away from for so long, and when he tested himself, he wanted to see how much of that will to run away he still has left. How much of the deep learnt instinct still flowed in his veins.

Andrew's coffee burnt his tongue when he took a sip. From his left, a bell rang. Footsteps that he'd recognize everywhere got closer, but he still looked towards the noise, just to look. Andrew's hazel eyes glowed under the yellow, warm lightning of the small place. He glanced at the table, and frowned.

"How long have you been here?"

"Hmmmm." Neil answered.

"Is my coffee cold?"

Andrew sat down. Neil pushed the cup towards him. Andrew touched it and nodded in something like satisfaction. Neil looked at every line that made Andrew's face, and wondered if Andrew sometimes tests himself, too. How often.

"It's cold outside," Neil looked away, overwhelmed. "I didn't bring my coat."

"Of course you didn't." The weight of Andrew's gaze almost made Neil give in to his bottomless feelings. "I told you to check the weather."

The window stared back at him. The world outside seemed miles away from his reflection. From his world. Two dimensions, unfamiliar. They don't touch. Not often.

Andrew took a sip from his too-sweet coffee. Neil's tongue burnt, but Andrew gulped the drink down with ease and closed his eyes in appreciation, or maybe for a moment of disconnect. Neil put his hand on the table. Andrew reached out to meet him halfway. Their hands didn't touch, not really. It was a simple poke of fingers against each other, an awkward thing they studied how to do. Few fingers overlapped each other. The world, again, seemed far away, but in a comfortable way, now. Neil's body relaxed for the first time since he sat down here. Tension left his body, slowly. It was warm, he realized. Warmth surrounded him.

He thought of people, and wind, and dogs. Of his dad and his knives, and almost laughed with the shock of it all. Dimensions, parallel, but they meet somewhere, even if he can't experience it fully. Andrew. His friends. The cigarette packs he hid from Kevin, the sun, sometimes, or the way it lands on Andrew. There was still a barrier between what he knew and what the rest of the world did, but right here, in this cafe, sitting with Andrew in silence and watching him sip his coffee, pushing back the less pleasent memories, leaving the cold for later, he thought that maybe his dimension isn't so bad. He survived so far.

20 sep 2023 [wip Wednesday game]

Nathaniel didn’t mind being late for breakfast. He was just happy to still be allowed in the castle or Palmetto at all, after answering the king’s leading questions concerning his past. Perhaps he was allowed because he’d told King Aaron only that he was from Evermore kingdom, letting him believe Nathaniel was a citizen from an outside town. Not from the castle proper. Certainly not with the job he had.

It was the next morning, and Day had had a busy few hours. They finally sat down just as the king and queen were leaving, which was a relief Nathaniel prayed for almost every day. He didn’t like having to interact with the king in any capacity. Too much could go wrong.

But it seemed Nathaniel was grateful too soon. With no brother to sit beside, Palmetto’s Prince Andrew came into the room shortly after, surveyed the table, and instead took the chair to Nathaniel’s right. Just far enough to be out of reach and ignoring Captain Day’s warning look. Nathaniel did his best to remain unaffected.

“Evermore,” the prince said simply, as if in consideration. Nathaniel was immediately and completely frozen, feeling vaguely like he’d received a blow to the gut.

King Aaron had told his twin. The prince was still too unpredictable, Nathaniel didn’t know how he’d feel about it or what he’d do. He could kill Nathaniel if he only felt it necessary. And no one could really stop him.

“What brought you to Palmetto?” Prince Andrew continued. He wasn’t even looking at Nathaniel, focused wholly on carefully taking apart his sweet roll. Nathaniel swallowed.

“I…”

He glanced over. Captain Day merely raised an eyebrow, seeing Nathaniel’s floundering from the corner of his eye. He still wouldn’t call out any of Nathaniel’s lies, same as he hadn’t for the omissions Nathaniel had given the king.

“I needed to see what my prince left the kingdom for. I wanted to - I wanted to see if he was even alive here.”

Which was, again - not technically a lie. The prince hummed, looking across Nathaniel to Captain Day, but he gave no comment.

“And is it everything you dreamed it would be?”

Nathaniel paused again.

“It is certainly better than what I left,” he managed.

rewatched the scene where hopper is rehearsing his heart to heart with joyce and not only is the way the dialogue is worded such a meta giveaway that m*leven isn’t working

(“open… to sharing our feelings- this isn’t gonna work. um, it’s not gonna work. it’s not gonna work”)

but also the whole thing with joyce and hopper here is sort of a byler parallel

joyce is helping hopper to express his feelings in a way different to what he really wants to say. hopper knows it’s best for mike and el to break up but joyce encourages him to just establish boundaries and let them be together.

will is trying to help mike to express his feelings to el, different to what he wants to say. mike knows it’s best for him and el to break up, but will encouraged mike to confess his love for her and be with her.

obviously the contexts are different because hoppers feelings are towards a relationship whereas mike’s are to an individual, and ones familial where the other is supposedly romantic, but then the whole thing with joyce going “you got this.” and holding hoppers hand and will’s “you’re the heart” makes me think hmmmm

The parallels between Karen and Mandy, specifically LIP'S relationships with either of them, get me every time.

The fact that when Karen was upset about her dad she dyed her hair black and got facial piercings.

Then, Lip starts dating Mandy, a girl with black hair and facial piercings.

Or, whenever Lip goes to Karen's window it's because he genuinely wants to see her, but the one time he goes to Mandy's window it's because he needs a place to stay. (But he lets her think he WANTS or even NEEDS to see her, which breaks my heart every time because she looks so happy.)

Even Karen and Mandy's relationships with either of their fathers. Karen was emotionally abused by her father to an extent (public shaming, using religion as an excuse to demoralize her, all of the basic gross shit). When it all came to a head after the purity ball, Karen reacted by destroying herself and the lives of those around her. Mandy also has a horrible relationship with her father, it is heavily implied that he abused her brother and her physically, definitely emotionally, and her case sexually. However, Mandy responds only by partaking in self destructive habits (drug use, drinking, hypersexuality) and even some of these could be argued as 'normal' teenage behavior. (I'm not trying to say that one response was better or worse- except obviously Karen r*ping Frank was very not okay, and that scene with Lip and Mandy in the kitchen that could be argued as r*pe- honestly I hate how the Shameless writers talk about consent, especially when it comes to men, because I don't think they understand what it means).

Idk I just think some of these are interesting.

(oH AND, AND, the way Mandy started dying her hair blond and dressing a little 'classier' near the end of the series- specifically that one episode where they tricked the pastor. When Lip sees her with blond hair dressed preppier, he says she looks nice. Who could she be resembling here????? Hmmmm????)

people went insane about the last two pages which, valid, i cackled out loud myself, but there's so many little details in this chapter that make my head spin, like:

nayuta getting her classmates to give her their desserts. that's so insanely petty i love this child i love that she's still very much the control devil and a little shit

2021, we were not sure if the photoshoot was done on 8/5 but XZS seem to confirm that it was done close to that date and our speculation was correct. The caption for the post was “Meet the time shadow before the finale in the desert”, and talking about the wrap up for this shoot, it was posted on 8/4.

The timeline being correct is important because this is when XZ wore the matching gucci head necklace of WYB 💕 and if this is right, looks like the rest of the bday timeline is correct.

Out of all the calendar photos & Months that could be featured in this video, why this? I know that it was taken for the 2021 birthday shoot which was what the photos in the desert was for but this is not in that set. This one is in Beijing, taken earlier that month. If you look at the photos in that calendar there are a lot and much better ones to include. So why???

Could it be because of that gesture? The same one WYB did last night in the One & Only show?

So who was taking the cue? Is this a coincidence again?

GG is known for doing this so what we CPN yesterday is that WYB decided to use that in the routine. Deliberate or not.

Now as for it’s inclusion in the XZS video, I think it’s more plausible that it’s a clue to confirm WYB’s dance move. I cannot say when these videos are edited, if it’s done waaaaay before it’s release. What I know for sure is how efficient XZS team is when it comes making video edits. They can turn high quality ones in a short span of time, for example the euro trip content. So it’s not completely out of the question for them to have made this recently.

Byler/Rockie parallel + Jonathan/Steve parallel

The Cali group is on their way from Suzie looking for the Nina Project location (the previous scene with them we saw was actually Will's coded confession) and Argyle starts talking that Nina might be a small woman. We are shown Mike's reaction and the word "boy" behind him. Smalltown Boy.

Jonathan doubts the coordinates are correct and Mike with Will start talking about how genius Suzie is and that's why the coordinates can't be wrong, while Argyle keeps talking about a small woman. That's when Jonathan stops the car, Mike asks: "What are you doing?" and Jonathan answers: "I am stopping us before we get more lost." Hmmmm, okay. Getting lost while talking about girls? Maybe a coincidence. They get out of the car and are checking the coordinates. "Longitude is 116 degrees, five minutes, and 17-- Slow down. Slow down. All right You just go straight down. Like, straight... straight...It just doesn't make sense!" What doesn't make sense, Jonathan???? Straight...straight... Maybe, Will and Mike loving girls doesn't make sense????? I mean, look at them during that moment!!! Both are looking away. Looking miserable. Almost caught.

And you know what is even crazier and proves that I'm right???? This scene follows the one with the Hawkins group in WarZone. Do you remember what (or better say who) do we see in there that doesn’t make sense AND STEVE EVEN SAYS IT IN THE SAME EPISODE???? Vickie and her boyfriend. Vickie who is paralleled to Mike. Her boyfriend who came to Hawkins for spring break. CRAZY!!!

Robin says: “In the face of the world ending, the stakes of my love life feel spectacularly low.” And I remembered Ted with his “It’s strike 20. You’re on the bench, son.” But Lucas who was on the bench hit the final ball and they won. But Erica who was a substitute rolled 20 and won. 10s on Mike and Will’s rollers. Only together they win.

Steve tries to convince Robin that there's something wrong with these relationships and he "still has hope." STEVE IS US. And what do we hear from Vickie in the last episode??? She and her boyfriend broke up. “I should’ve just ended things right there and then.” Does it remind you of anyone? I guess there’s no need to write who.

What I found interesting is that we see a small poster that says RELIEF AID on it (= Robin feeling relieved by knowing Vickie is single) and FOOD is written on the table. Hopper and Joyce also were talking about food before their kiss. Who we don’t see eating food in s4? Mike. El also doesn’t eat Eggo’s he brought her. But they eat pineapple pizza, though Mike calls it “blasphemous” at first (here are some food references.) And we also have these “sweetie pie” mentionings. Very and very interesting. Food and love are somehow intertwined. Vickie says: “I’m rumbling about my dumb boyfriend where there are people out there suffering. Who need…food. All you need is love. That’s what Matthew Modine posted on Twitter when being asked about s5 endgame.

Her dumb boyfriend wished her “Good luck” and Mike says finding El in the woods was “a simple dumb luck”, ARE YOU KIDDING ME????

One last thing that was already mentioned by some great minds. Steve is holding a blue & yellow (Mike and Will) t-shirt while putting a red one (El) aside. And there’s a birthday reference. Vickie gives Robin a sandwich as a gift saying: “Early birthday.” Whose birthday was forgotten and he had no presents? Will. We will have the scene where Mike gives him a gift (maybe even with a letter signed “Love, Mike”) and him saying: “Belated birthday.”
