1970 Aston Martin DBS from The Persuaders driven by Roger Moore.
The most famous Aston Martin DBS is without doubt the one which appeared in the 1970’s British television series The Persuaders. Although it appears to be a V8, the car featured in the series was in fact a straight 6 equipped with DBS V8 alloy wheels. Chassis number DBS/5636/R, was registered as BS 1 (although in real life PPP 6H) and was painted in Bahama Yellow.
This DBS in the hands of Lord Brett Sinclair, was without doubt one of the stars of the series, opposite the DINO 246 GT driven by mischievous American Danny Wilde. The series was broadcast in Britain on ITV from 17th September 1971 to 25th February 1972, and in France from 3rd October 1972 on the ORTF’s second channel. It soon became a major hit. Unfortunately The Persuaders came to an end after only one season and a total of 24 episodes which are now considered cult TV. The "Bahama Yellow" DBS is fondly remembered by many, and several 6 cylinder and V8 DBS’s have been painted in the same colour by car owners who are also fans of the series.
Between April 1994 and Autumn 1997, the original DBS driven by Roger Moore was totally restored by Aston Works Service in Newport Pagnell and both Roger Moore at Pinewood Studios in 2003 and Tony Curtis at the Cheltenham Literature Festival in 2008 (two years before he died in 2010) signed the interior of the boot lid. DBS/5636/R is now owned by Ed Stratton who maintains the car with care but does not hesitate to drive it as often as he can, for the greater pleasure of the series fans.

The Double-O's (partially found rejected British TV series pilot; 1990)
Some stills from the opening credits of The Double-O's, the rejected pilot for a James Bond spinoff series starring Sean Bean and Pierce Brosnan. This pilot was produced during Giancarlo Parretti's ownership of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (1990-1991), concurrently to the animated series James Bond Jr. It is speculated that the commercial failure of James Bond Jr., Parretti's fraudulent misuse of MGM's funds, as well as the pilot's dated aesthetics are the main reasons behind the rejection.
However, Bean and Brosnan eventually reprised their roles from the series in 1995's GoldenEye, the 17th James Bond film. Judging from these (anonymously sourced) stills, it appears that some material from the pilot was re-used in the film. To this day, no other attempts to create a TV series adapted from the James Bond franchise have been made. It is also unknown whether a complete version of the pilot will ever be recovered.
Still there? Okay, I guess I have to confess: this is no lost media lol. Just me having listened some times too many the main theme of The Persuaders (the Bond-esque series starring Tony Curtis and Roger Moore). I mean, I love the melancholy of that theme (thanks John Barry), and the aesthetics of the opening just as much. That was a fun little project 🙂 (and ngl, I'd kill for an actual full version of that opening with unseen 1980s bondalec footage...)

Thinking about this old show I watched with my mother as a child called the Persuaders. It’s from the 70s I think
I don’t remember much but I clearly recall laughing until I lost my breath, it was great
Basically from what I remember these two rich dudes (one horribly british and the other just as horribly american but like maybe from NYC or LA or something) keep getting dragged into mafias, murders, robberies and the like, all of this in increasingly comical situations btw
Also I feel obligated to mention that the French name of the show is Amicalement vôtre. It means Amicaly yours. Amicaly as in friends, of course. Bros even
No but seriously just imagine if a show like this was made today like-
A couple of bisexual rich unofficial detectives, one just as awfully American and the other one is British, slowly getting closer as they run around solving cases in the UK with more or less run-ins with the cops and the mafia, all of which happening in hilarious ways
(One of the things I remember is at the start of an episode, Daniel Wilde (the american, played by Tony Curtis) said something in a casino to the guy behind the counter then changed his mind and said something else. Everything seems great except the guy thinks he’s his contact because guess what? The extremely long chain of words Danny said was code for "start the operation" or something. I don’t explain it well but it’s actually just so funny it’s amazing)
*sigh* it probably aged like milk but it was great
