A thought enters your mind of you leaning in and kissing a pale cheek and seeing how she flushes, beautifully and enticingly. You grit your teeth at that and turn away.)

But no. Donna may be an old friend, yes, but she is now your employer and you can't ruin the tentative companionship the two of you have at the moment with your selfish impulses.

Hi hello um Wanted to make this after the newest chapter of Phytologists' guide to Falling in love Dropped. So that was months ago lol idk what happenned. Anyways I was so pumped it was back, it got me thinking of my old drawing I made, what was it, 2 years ago now? Anyways I knew I could do better, so I did. Thanks @lucidmagic again for making my favourite fic of all time. As someone whose read an embarrasingly high number of fics over the last 3 and a half years, that bar is high. You know what? So I wanted to draw cover arts for different donna x reader fics and decided to start from "The Phytologist's Guide to falling in love" that was written by @lucidmagic

Originally I thought about putting some fluffy scene on a cover but after re-reading whole fic I decided to choose this one in particular. For me, this part of a chapter was a big step for Donna and gardener in developing their relationship because Donna shared something so painful to her. It was serious and sad but important and it stayed in my head for a long while that is why I tried to draw it.

P.s Only after I read the Claudia's grave part for second time I understood where everything was happening, that what english as second language does to a mf 💀

Additional note: I will try not to draw reader too detailed unless their description is clearly written, so if you're an author that I drew cover for feel free to ask edit of character on art.

A.a.n: I won't draw cover for fics that are more than one relationship(Like reader x multiple Re8 women). It would give me too much scenes and gradually increase the whole process 😅

Before the year ended I had made a promise to myself that no matter what- I would draw something around @lucidmagic and @lelianasbitch fics “The Phytologist’s Guide to Falling in Love” and “Deliverance of Change”. These two fics were what introduced me to the RE8 fandom, and I sincerely wouldn’t be here without them. While this isn’t the masterpiece I wanted, it’s fulfilling that promise to myself and giving me some strength to move forward again. The year didn’t end how I wanted it to, but the best I can do is get back up and keep walking.

Pale hands slip out from between your bodies and come to clasp at your shoulders, digging into the material and muscle with determined strength. You stagger back as warmth blossoms as your bodies come together and Donna’s grip brings you downward and downward and downward. . .

The veil’s layered fabric crashes onto your lips and you gasp as you feel Donna beneath it. Her lips are pleasantly cool and oh so perfectly soft, even behind the cloth separating you. Despite the chasteness, a fervent fire ignites and radiates between where two of you meet, curling and spreading and utterly encompassing. She’s now a blaze you can’t control and have no care to. You’re being consumed. You’re being razed. Her breath is sweet, too sweet that it has your mind reeling and spiraling. Until thoughts slip away into blissful nothingness as she presses further in, sating all your worries and doubts.

The shock has you stiffen from her kiss.

I had to draw my favourite scene from @lucidmagic The Phytologist’s Guide to Falling in Love

y’all I’ve read this fic more times than I can count over the last year

Anyways if anyone’s interested in my little rant here it is:

Phyto is the absolute best fic I’ve ever read hands down. The writing is beautiful and the relationship between Donna and the gardener seems a lot more real than a lot of other fics I’ve read.  On a personal note, this fic really helped me through hard times. I’ve read a lot of donna x reader fics and her characterization often reads as autistic to me. I cannot explain to you the joy I felt when this fic actually eluded to it the first time. As the story continued, seeing gardener support her and love her just as much with this information in mind absolutely killed me. Donna’s autistic traits are brought up nonchalantly, and only add to her charm, and her happy flapping- y’all I didn’t know I could receive so much serotonin at once

Being on the spectrum, this is the first time I’ve seen any representation that I can actually resonate with. I have to deal with a lot of ableism in my everyday life, especially in the last year. It feels good knowing I can come back to this fic when I’m having a tough time. :)
