It’s not so much that I quote this line word for word, but I’m pretty sure the sentiment clung to me ever since I heard it. As I mentioned in my Day 5 post, this episode left an impression on me as a child.

It’s hard to remember to get back up and try again and honestly, I forgot about this episode until I rewatched the series with my husband. I’m going to keep trying my hardest at everything I do. If I fall, I’ll get right back up again, especially if it involves my passions.

Thank you everyone who followed me and liked my posts for DAWeek 2024. This is the last one for Adventure’s celebration, though I have plenty more plans for more art. So keep an eye out!

Wait wait wait! In “The Piximon Cometh” Tai and Agumon compare digivolving to riding a bike. In Digimon o2, after reuniting with Agumon Tai tells him to digivolve saying “it’s just like riding a bike, now start pedaling and digivolve!”

Was that a callback all along? I thought Tai was just being insensitive, was he just reminding him of their special journey together?

The Myotismon Arc of Digimon Adventure will always be my favorite (and I consider it the best arc of that series) because even though the first episode I ever watched-The Piximon Cometh-wasn’t part of it, it’s the arc that made me get fully into Digimon.

The fact that Gatomon, one of my favorite Digimon, is introduced in this arc helps too.

You never expect the main characters to be called out for being so unimpressive in battle, and yet. Look how sad they are. They have Sads.

I mean Piximon’s not entirely wrong, they’ve still got a long way to go, but all he’s seen so far is Agumon having some kind of traumatic response to something and Tai saving him. Sure, that’s not great, but it feels like a real dick move to call it out like some sort of incompetence thing. Though they have eebn struggling since getting to the Continent of Server, they had trouble against Kokatorimon and he’s the only one they’ve defeated so far.
