Analyzing the 5 plays in this drama club poster .From the bts pics of stranger things 4.

So... some of ya’ll know I'm going through the st s4 films given to us by the official st twitter + the films reffed in the show itself or mentioned by the Duffers in interviews .

So I decided to look at the plays mentioned here. Because even if we don't see the monologues in the show directly - the Duffers wouldn't name drop anything unless it inspired them in some way. Similar to films name dropped in the show. Tw : for some dark themes .

This is just a quick little analysis I decided to do since we probably won't get any new st content today (3/22). Nothing too deep. Just mentioning things that caught my interest especially cause these plays have a lot of narrative connections to the st s4 movies I've been watching.

Invitation to a march (Authur laurents)

Reminds me of the stancy/jancy love triangle. "A young woman is having second thoughts about doing the right thing and marrying a respectable , rich, kind, young man with good prospects.By way of a prewedding diversion, this woman becomes interested in the passionate but poor and entirely unsuitable son of a local landlord.Basically, the plot concerns the efforts of Norma Brown to choose between a conventional fiance who "puts her to sleep" but is wealthy (like what her own mother did) or go for this new-poor guy. The play is principally interested in how this youthful love triangle affects the three mothers involved (whether the kids like it or not)

12th night (Shakespeare)

 - viola (el) wrongly assumes a family member (hopper) is dead. She dresses up as a man named 'cesario'. A girl named Olivia falls for 'cesario' (violet dressed as a man). "Finally, when 'Cesario' and Sebastian (violet's twin brother: assumed to have drowned - Will) appear in the presence of Olivia there is more wonder and confusion at their physical similarity. Taking Sebastian for 'Cesario', Olivia asks him to marry her, and they are secretly married in a church. Cough if Olivia is 'straight' cause she fell for Viola (as a doppleganger dressed like her twin brother).Mike being into el who multiple characters in s1 said looked like a boy and specifically like Will is...suspish and a hint he's not straight lol. just like Olivia they're both into guys . plus, this play just has a butt load of love triangles (ugh i hated that aspect). There was also romantically coded letters (which was in the s4 films) . One character is also thrown into an insane asylum and framed as 'insane'.'Pretending that Malvolio is insane, they lock him up in a dark chamber. Feste visits him to mock his insanity'. We all know the psych hospital will be narratively important- talked about it more here.

The seagull (Anton Chekhov-russian)

similar to how I believed s4 will show m*#even already broken up since the months between s3-4 : act 3 (s3) ends with Nina begging for one last chance to be with Trigorin before he leaves/moves away. They kiss and make plans to meet again in Moscow.And in act 4 there's a timeskip where it shows they've been broken up for a long time between acts- and its established they never actually loved eachother. Do i even have to spell out why this parallels the m*#even ending in s3? There is also a play within the play (this is common in a lot of the st films- they have plays- or a story within a story- which illustrate certain themes or emotions of the characters within said film : blackswan, children of paradise, highschool musical, Rushmore, book of Henry, welcome to marwen, never ending story, romancing the stone, wet hot American summer, etc).The play is Konstantin's latest attempt at creating a dense symbolist work. There is also alot of love triangles in the seagull. TW!: for se#ual ab*se/su*cidal thoughts/ inc*st (here and in other play segments). The seagull motif reminds me a lot of Jonathan's rabbit story.Konstantin romantically into Nina shows up to give her a gull that he has shot. Nina is confused and horrified . Trigorin sees the gull that Konstantin has shot and muses to Nina on how he could use it as a subject for a short story: "The plot for the short story: a young girl lives all her life on the shore of a lake. She loves the lake, like a gull, and she's happy and free, like a gull. But a man arrives by chance, and when he sees her, he destroys her, out of sheer boredom. Like this gull."  This immediately reminded me of jon's rabbit story and some of the movies on the s4 list . Like in forrest gump- Jenny (who is poor) was se*ually ab*sed as a very young girl by her father. As a child she runs away into a field-away from her alcoholic father yelling at her -there she prays that she can "be a bird so I can fly far far away" .

Jenny as an adult struggles with this unresolved trauma- being with ab*sive partners, doing dr*gs, and having su*cidal thoughts . She as an adult when contemplating su*icide, jokes 'you think i can fly like a bird ?' while looking down at a bridge.God-i'm worried about jonathan (Jenny was also a musician sort of like jon). In another s4 movie example ' mystic river ' :(in the 80s) a preteen baseball playing boy is r*ped by men in the woods. He later says he wishes he could become an undead monster to not feel the pain of that experience - cause quote " if I'm not human anymore maybe the pain will stop" (Will) . slightly off topic but he also has another personality, imagines a alternate word that dissappears when he turns his head. And as a less direct animal parallel to the play - the boy from the film also imagined his perpetrators as monsters and wolves to cope.In 'getout' the photographer character sees a dead deer in the woods and it represents a parent/his own childhood tra*ma relating to his past. similarly in 'prince of tides' the 2 siblings as kids were ra*ed by men. The older brother remembered it and the younger sibling developed DID (so didn't remember but she would draw wolves- as the perpetrators/villains in her picture stories she created . In the film they also had an ab*sive dad and were very poor. She also tried k*ling herself multiple times-but started to get better after remembering the source of her pain and trauma.  There is also the theme of multiple attempted su*cides in the play- and the play ends with yet another attempt- and the audience is left unaware of the artist's fate at the end of the play.

The tempest (Shakespeare)

Prospereo - (the perceived antagonist) is a wizard with monstrous looks, storm powers , and ability to create monster-dogs

He wants revenge on a man who tried ra*ing his family member & revenge on his other family member who wronged him years ago. I mean... pretty much my did theory.But in the end.Prospero decides to show his enemies the mercy that they did not show him twelve years earlier. He tells Ariel to bring the men to him, he will restore their sanity and then renounce magic forever.Prospero breaks the spell that the men are under .

Diary of a scoundrel (Alexander Ostrovsky-Russian)

-  I suppose this could loosely relate to Jonathan? Glumov, is a young man from an impoverished family lacking status seeking entrance into society's pampered class. A 19th-century Russian scoundrel must scheme his way out of his meager life in a small apartment -whatever it takes.He has a quick mind and some talent for seeing through the hypocrisies of people around him ( Jonathan does make a lot of social critiques about society). That gives him some advantages. A tale of one man's mission to finagle his way into upper-class society and find a cushy job. Set in 1874, this social comedy follows Glumov, a Russian youth who begins his ambitious ascent to social esteem. He progresses by wit, guile and rhetoric. Pitting one stupid person against another, he soon gains his ends. To reach these goals, Glumov will lie, flatter, and cater to the vanities of the wealthy. Unable to contain his disgust with his victims, Glumov decides to relieve his unvoiced satirical comments by recording his schemes in a diary. But he is tripped up by his uncle's wife, to whom he has made passionate love on his way to success. At the end of the play, his diary is stolen and his duplicity exposed, but he can nevertheless suceeds. The author is much more critical about the high society itself than about the main character, so the play keeps attracting generations of directors by opening possibilities for political criticism while also avoiding naming names of the current rulers.The play's aim was to overthrow bourgeois tradition and establish a class-conscious art called eccentricism giving a deliberately comic portrayal of reality.

I suppose I notice some possible commonalities-  besides s3 critiquing the wealthy/capitalism in comedic ways . jonathan since s1 has worried about his family's finances / had some resentment toward the rich . In some of the s4 movies ‘orphan’ & ‘ girl interrupted’ someone reads their diary out loud to get at them (in girl interrupted the winona character’s diary even had critiques of her new friends).  Alot of movies also have someone (usually a teen/young adult) making a documentary about their life -which could narratively replace said diary? A few movies have a poor guy adjusting to snobby rich social circles (or being poor and then getting money)- titanic, kingsmen, karate kid, the craft , godfather,  wardogs,into the spiderverse,flashdance, and many others . And movies like wardogs has a poor-young-character do shady things to finacially support his family . There’s also that whole uncle’s wife thing- which makes me uncomfortable for obvious reasons (but I’m just thinking of Lonnie’s creepy gf who was into him). A few movies had the guy’s step mom innappropriately hit on him- orange county & you got mail. And him trying to avoid her advances. Or...not to mention ... it may be a problematic coincidence /trope. But in enter the void -the guy who needs to finacially support his sibling/ does dr*gs -hooks up with his dr*g dealing friend’s married mom (who would give him money).  Or in gilbert grape- the poor teen-who has to finacially support his siblings/single mom-has his endgame relationship be a girl his own age. But before that he h*oked up with a married woman -who would give him money. Don’s plum -young film guy-propositioned by older female film director (for dream job). Not even mentioning the other films that have the guy hooking up with toxic older women (like ‘the graduate’). Or analyze this-where the therapist accuses him of having an Oedipus complex (not touching that one... but the guy in ‘enter the void’ a 100% had one). It’s possible those movies were just- inspo for s3?  A coincidence? Or s3 was foreshadowing for this in s4- but unlike s3 it will accurately be played as wrong  and a sign of Jonathan recreating past tra*ma caused by Lonnie (cough like the photos) /being desperate for money. And not played ‘comedically’ like how it mostly was in s3. But shown as self destructive  (for Jon) and immoral on the Woman’s end. Like... Billy and Jon are character foils. Both are older siblings into rock music, with ab*sive dads who shoved them into walls. Both lose it (and beat steve to a pulp when Steve accidentally triggers their daddy issues). In s3 it’s established womanizer Billy has mommy issues, than he tries ho*king up with someone his mom’s age, and the characters ref ‘back to the future ‘ and Steve incorrectly says it’s about “alex p keaton trying to bang his mom.” This could illustrate his subconscious issues with parental figures/adults cause of Lonnie’s  possible past se*ual ab*se . One film the friend even says to the guy “you don’t have friends!” guy b: i have friends! him:  no you have acquaintances! ADMIT IT! YOU’RE AFRAID OF MEN!I mean-Jonathan liked Nancy- but he initially hooked up with her cause he wanted to prove he didn’t have ‘trust issues’ from his dad. Also it’s prob a bit of a reach (and maybe a coincidence)- but the fact Murray in the same breath compares Steve (Nancy’s then bf) and Lonnie  ... uh... if you think too long about it ... it’s very sinister .  Especially because in s3: muray tells Joyce  that despite her wanting to be with a nice guy, she’s curious about “the brute” Hopper despite him reminding her of a past “bad relationship”(aka Lonnie). Like- yeah connect some dots.  Quite a few films (other than forrest gump) also have the character who (as a kid) was  r*ped by their dad/parent-  begin to do dr*gs/be pr*miscuous as adults since they never learned to properly cope with their trauma (’girl with the dragon tattoo’,  ‘black swan’, and ‘magnolia’). Unfortunately the whole relative doing such things to kid-relatives is in at least 30+ movies. 

Personally, i would be MUCH happier if Jon had a age appropriate romance- and had not a single creepy adult near him. A few movies actually imply Lonnie gets yet another ‘new model’  replacing his gf in her 20s with a new gf- who is ‘barely l*gal” and just turned 18. so there’s that possibility as well- that she’s jonathan’s age.I just want Jonathan-happy &safe. GOD. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

Hello! I’m Kiyoshi Ono, joined here today by none other than Shishio Ramos! Actor in the new series Kimi no Hīrō Akademia!

Hi! [awe! This kid is so sweet] [He’s barely said anything yet] [hush!]

Hi there Ramos! Could you tell us what this new series is going to be about, and who you’re playing?

Oh yeah! Totally! Well- pretty much it’s a highschool for super powered kids, where[nice][Nice!][?][look at the word count!][juveniles]they each can show off their special abilities and train to become pro heroes! Pro being taken literally there- they’re training to become professional heroes! It’s a really fun thing. Ah- and my character is Aito Takao! Takao’s a silly sort of character- kinda like a villain but she’s on the hero’s side in the end. She’s comic relief for when things get too heavy- mostly because she doesn’t care about what’s making everyone else all bummed out [laughter] yeah- she’s a really narcissistic character- but she’s funny so it’s ok.

Yes, my daughter read the manga that inspired Kimi no Hīrō Akademia, and she says that you guys are making a lot of changes- specifically to Takao?

Oh- yeah [laughter] we’re making a couple changes. Takao’s gonna have the same personality and stuff- don’t worry fans- but… you know, we’ll be adjusting a couple things to make Takao an easier role for me to play. He’ll be going by she/him pronouns for one-

She/Him pronouns?

-yeah! Takao’s gonna be genderfluid! For those who don’t know, there’s a ton of different ways to be genderfluid, but the way that I’m gonna portray Takao as- you know, the way I am- pretty much he’s gonna be kinda a little mix of boy and girl? Ah- it’s kinda hard to explain without getting into a lot of different topics, but- pretty much what the audience has to know is that you could refer to Takao with both he/him and she/her pronouns, and his uniform is gonna be both slacks and a skirt! [Ahhh! I just adore Ramos <333] [he’s just explaining gender presentation?][I KNOW!!!]

Alright, good to know! Anything else you think the fans would like to know about changes?

Yes actually! So- in the manga, both Takao’s parents are like, super dead [laughter] but! The writers thought it would be more fun to [nice] [juvenile][JUVENILE!!!] keep Takao’s mother alive, and be kinda ambiguous with his dad. I won’t go too much into it- but I think new and returning fans of the series are really gonna like it!

Perfect! Now, let’s talk more about you

Oh boy-

[laughter] Don’t worry Ramos- I just wanna learn a bit more about behind the scenes stuff. You’re just coming off Good Morning Nakamuras!, how would you describe the transition between Hanta Kobayashi and Aito Takao?

oh lord- [laughter] yeah yeah- there’s a lot of difference between the two. You can see it really prominently in the writing. Good Morning Nakamuras! was a family sitcom, so it was a lot of ‘someone says something’ ‘someone else says something’ ‘Hanta says something either funny or dumb’ and then a laugh track. Sometimes someone else would come after Hanta to carry the joke, but usually it was just that. [awe… I’m gonna miss Good Morning Nakamuras!] [same here, it was my mom’s favorite!] But with Takao, it’s a much faster pace. It’s just ‘someone says something’ and then immediately ‘Takao says something funny or dumb’ and then immediately back to ‘someone else says something’ and then ‘Takao says something funny or dumb.’ I-I don’t know if I’m explaining it well- it’s just that Takao talks all the time and always has something new or witty to say. He’s just a chatter box without a filter and- that’s kinda fun to do- I always get the final word and it’s always gonna get a laugh, you know? [have you guys seen the trailer yet?] [no, but my niece has! She’s really excited to see the premiere!!] [i have. it looks weird, but my brother is excited for it. his favorite is the blonde one i think]

There’s also the problem with the stunts, you know? Like- the worst of it on Nakamuras! was just the parts where I had to jump the fence, and even then it was just every couple of episodes. On KNHA I have to do all these cool fighting moves- and not to mention how deranged Takao is just… naturally [laughter] he’s just a very energetic guy with a fondness for climbing things- and people! Like you have no clue how tall someone is until your boss points at them and is like “hey, go climb them.” And you have to do it! The pro tip I’m gonna give people-climbers: it’s all in the legs [laughter] you just have to get your legs around them and pray that you don’t look as stupid as you feel. God- the worst part is when you’re climbing someone who's the same height as you! Hiroharu’s actor is about my height, and I have to climb him all the damn time. It feels like you’re gonna crush them, you know? Like you just have to be as light as possible and hope and pray that they can support you. And- and I know that he can, you know? Like me and him have the same personal trainer, and Kyo-San doesn’t do “easy” [laughter] I know that he can hold me, there’s just always that fear you know?

Oh definitely- and speaking of Hiroharu’s actor, we know you’re on the lower end of the age spectrum, do you think that affects how you all work together?

Oh no, definitely not! Yeah I’m younger than a lot of my coworkers, but not by much- 19, 20 in June. I mean I’m glad that I’m so young! Like I said- Hiroharu’s actor is about my height, and I’m like 173, and… you know… Hiroharu’s actor is over 21 I think- he sometimes offers to get drinks with us, so he’s definitely 21 and up- and I hear people stop growing after 18…

What? [laughter] What are your tying to say?

Oh my god wait- wait you can’t leave that in! I work with that guy! I can’t call him short in an interview before the show actually starts- ohh no! Oh god!

The average man’s height is 175!

Oh- ah I’m sure- I’m sure that-that’s true- oh my god-

I’m 174!

Oh my god we can’t leave this in! [laughter] oh my god- I’m sorry I just- I come from a tall family so sometimes I forget that- that you know people- oh my god we have to cut this out [laughter] [make sure to remove this bit] [awe! But yeah, age doesn’t really get in the way of things. We’re all good friends on set- especially Hoshizawa’s actor! Him and Shimoda-san are really cool guys, I love hanging out with them!

Shimoda-san? As in Kosuke Shimoda?

Yes! Shimoda-san plays Ikuto Maekawa, and since our characters are such great friends, I’d like to think we are as well! He’s a real fun guy, and I’m excited to work with such a huge talent- everyone- everyone there is so talented and I’m so lucky to be there.

Ah, speaking of talent. While a large portion of the cast is hidden, we have seen some familiar faces in the trailer. We’ve also seen some familiar faces on social media…

Oh my god-

[laughter] you never publicly addressed it, Ramos! Do you want to talk about your fight with Bryce Aoki?

Oh lord… [laughter] everyone’s so dramatic- so it wasn’t a fight- it’s just- ok so we had a little scene together where I would push him out of frame, but he wanted to still be seen and I was fine with that. Choreography is very important to me, so we had a passionate discussion-

Passionate discussion that ended with Aoki getting a black eye?

That- [laughter] that was an accident! I was- so we were practicing by the makeup desks- bad decision I know, but- stop looking at me like that! [laughter] It was just- we’re standing like we would in the scene, and I go to shove him- and- and I’m aiming for his head but- but maybe I accidentally hit his eye - and he absolutely wipes out, like this kid’s on the ground and I’m like “holy sh*t I just punched a kid” you know? [laughter] [she’s like, barely a year older than him…] but! Bryce is a sweetheart, and luckily he’s alright-

He got a black eye! He posted about it!

Oh he! He’s just a bit dramatic! He’s an actor though, it’s our jobs to be a bit looney [laughter]

BnHA Chapter 219: Two Good Boys and One Unlucky Broker

Previously on BnHA: Katsuki and Shouto had their licenses for all of 30 minutes (literally) before deciding to put them to the test. But let’s backtrack a bit! It was a beautiful snowy day in December and class 1-A was chilling out and watching the news. We were introduced to a company called Detnerat, and their CEO who’s apparently a big fan of this dead terrorist guy named Destro who wrote a book about quirk supremacy and how people with superpowers need to rise up and liberate themselves and shit. It’s actually really interesting and I can see how these ideas would create a divide within hero society much like Stain’s ideology did. But anyway, so the CEO casually murdered his assistant for mocking these ideas, so that was deeply horrifying. And then he went to meet with some other villains (because yeah! he’s a villain, apparently!) who are apparently descendants of Destro (as is he, I presume), and they talked about how they’re gonna arrange a meetup with the League of Villains so that they can FUCK THEM UP. Plot twist! Anyways and then we cut to some hapless citizens who were being robbed by some banditos, and that’s when Katsuki and Shouto showed up as previously mentioned. So let’s see how this goes!

Today on BnHA: Katsuki and Shouto take on Soda Sam (who I really did think was Aizawa’s old buddy for much longer than I’m proud to admit though), who fights back with some pressurized water jets. All Might saves a stupid Instagram lady and Katsuki saves the both of them, and also recovers everyone’s stolen wallets, because he’s a fucking boy scout now that the provisional course is over. Meanwhile Shouto whips out the ol’ hot+cold power combo of sports festival fame and knocks the villain out. Afterwards the two of them are enthusiastically congratulated by a pro hero called Slidin’ Go (who’s secretly evil, as it turns out, because this is a very strange arc) and hair ruffled by All Might and it’s fucking great you guys. We then cut back to the Detnerat guys, who bring in Giran, a.k.a. the League of Villains’ black market broker who just so happens to have balls of fucking steel. Good thing too, because the DetCEO plans to use him to track down and lure out the League so he can take care of them. Lastly, we cut over to said League, whose members are currently in the process of having their asses handed to them by Gigantomachia and are really not looking too hot, oh dear.

(As always, all comments not marked with an ETA are my mostly-unspoiled reactions from my first readthrough of this chapter. I’m caught up with the manga now at chapter 225 -- I haven’t read 226 yet -- so any ETAs will reflect that.)

(ETA: why did they name this chapter after the weirdly unsettling and secretly evil THE FULLLLLL BULLPENNN hero, though?? my working theory is that it was Horikoshi’s way of ensuring we wouldn’t just immediately forget he existed so that we could be properly surprised when he returned a few chapters later.)

anyway so Aizawa’s cloudy friend is shaking off the ice, and now he’s chewing the boys out for fucking up his big purse-snatching operation

Remus chuckled and continued to watch Sirius as he made his way around the room, inspecting everything carefully. It made Remus feel oddly self-conscious, exposed. Just as he was beginning to chastise himself for not tidying more, Sirius spoke, effectively interrupting his thoughts. 

“What’s this?”

He was pointing at what currently lay off to the side of Remus’ desk. “A record player. You’ve never seen one before?”

Sirius’ confused look was replaced by one of overconfidence, which Remus saw through immediately. “’Course I have. Loads of times.”

Remus bit back a smile and continued on stoically, unwilling to let Sirius off that easily. “Oh, would you mind putting a record on then? I fancy a bit of the Beatles.”

“Uh, sure,” Sirius replied, bravado slipping just a bit. He recovered quickly, however, and pulled out the correct album amidst Remus’ small collection. After a brief moment of deliberation, he removed the delicate vinyl from its sleeve and approached the record player with an amount of wariness that would have been better suited for staring down a grim. Remus watched on in fond amusement.

After a few tentative prods of the needle, Sirius huffed and turned around. “Alright, you win. Teach me how to work this thing, would you?”

Remus smiled and folded his arms, rather enjoying seeing the usually self-assured Sirius Black out of his element. “Say please.”

Sirius breathed a laugh. “Fuck you.”

“Without music to set the mood? I’d never be so classless,” Remus rejoined easily, before realizing exactly what it was he’d just said. Where the hell did that come from?

“Ah. Well, in that case…” Sirius smirked and straightened into a mockingly formal posture. “Moony, would you please teach me to use your record player so that I may ravage you in the way your romantic sensibilities evidently require?”

“I thought you’d never ask,” Remus responded with equal dramatics. 

It wasn’t until he walked to the record player, and consequently to Sirius, that Remus began to wonder where exactly the line gets drawn between friendly banter and flirting. He wondered if he and Sirius had crossed it, had been crossing it for years. 

He also wondered if that possibility should bother him more than it did.

Before Remus could let himself re-hash and over-analyze every conversation they’d had for the past six years, however, he busied himself by showing Sirius the ins and outs of a Muggle turntable. 

They spent the first few songs chatting idly about their summer vacations, a lot of which included Sirius’ whinging about James deserting him for cousin so-and-so’s wedding. After a while, they ran out of things to say and just sat on Remus’ bed listening to the music in companionable silence. 

Out of the corner of his eye, Remus surreptitiously glanced at Sirius, quietly marvelling at the way he seemed able to make himself look completely at home anywhere he happened to be. Whether it was in class leaning back precariously in his chair, or sitting against Remus’ headboard with legs crossed at the ankles and stretched out in front of him, Sirius always managed to appear at ease. His movements had an effortless grace that Remus admired.

“I feel like this is how it was meant to be,” Sirius suddenly said.

“Wh-what?” Remus spluttered, thinking Sirius couldn’t possibly mean that the way it sounded. 

And, sure enough - “The music. I feel like this is how it was meant to be listened to, you know?”

Remus couldn’t help but laugh. “Unbelievable. Barely a half hour in and you’re already a purist.”

Sirius smiled and shrugged. “What can I say? My cultural horizons have been expanded. Progress will not be stopped!”

“And does this ‘progress’ extend to other areas of your personality, I wonder?” Remus asked, his voice carrying a teasing lilt.

“Come on, Moons, everyone knows you can’t improve on perfection.”

Sirius winked at him then, and Remus couldn’t help but think such tactics must be illegal or, at the very least, fighting dirty.

“Hmm… Not exactly the word I’d use,” Remus replied.

Sirius arched a brow. “Oh, really? And what would be the word you’d use, pray tell?”

Remus pretended to really consider his answer. “Well, that all depends, really,” he began before lifting his hand and tilting it from side to side, “Is there a word that embodies this gesture?”

Sirius barked out an incredulous laugh. “That’s it, Lupin, you and your smart mouth are going down!”

Remus had no time to formulate a snappy comeback as Sirius was already tackling him. A full blown war quickly ensued, each boy struggling to get the upper hand through their laughter. Remus made a calculated swipe for Sirius’ hair, hoping to succeed in mussing it up, but Sirius took the opportunity to grab Remus’ wrists, quickly utilizing the extra leverage to pin Remus to the bed. Remus tried to squirm out of the hold, but it was no use. Sirius hovered above him, smiling down triumphantly. 

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: No one. Touches. The hair,” Sirius said, a challenging look still in his eyes.

“You’d think I’d have remembered that after the third or fourth lecture on the subject,” Remus replied, remembering all the instances Sirius had made his priorities about his hair perfectly clear.

“Is the prefect complaining about lectures? Pot, meet kettle.”

Remus huffed a small laugh, but didn’t say anything. His breathing was evening out, and suddenly he realized that their breathing was the only sound in the room, the record having come to an end. 

Remus turned his attention back to Sirius, who was looking at him more intensely than before, expression unreadable, and giving no indication of moving. Remus’ mind wandered back to his partially formed thoughts from earlier about where the boundary lines were. Now, however, it felt like they were in different territory completely. It was hard to decipher with Sirius being so distractingly close.

Sirius licked his lips a little before speaking and Remus swallowed involuntarily. “Hey, Remus?”

“Yeah?”

“You know how in those lectures, you’re always telling me that I’m too impulsive? That I don’t think before I act?”

“Yeah.”

“And that it makes me do stupid things?”

“Yeah.”

“Well, I’m about to do something really stupid.”

“What do you-”

Sirius kissed him.

It was just a light brush of lips, and Sirius pulled back almost immediately, clearly gauging Remus’ reaction. Remus blinked.

“That was… certainly something,” Remus said unhelpfully, shock turning his brain to mush.

“A… A good something?” Sirius asked tentatively. The sheer uncertainty written on his face and evident in his tone suddenly made Remus’ mind feel more clear than it had ever been.

Remus smiled. “I couldn’t possibly say without further study.”

Joyful relief shone bright and hopeful in Sirius’ handsome features, and he wasted no time in ducking back down and capturing Remus’ lips once more.

A/N: The record prompt was the one that struck me first, but ya best bELIEVE I took a screenshot of this ask to come back to the other ones when I get a chance! Also, if you’re the anon who gave me the prompt about Remus and Sirius being left alone in the dorm together, I haven’t forgotten about you, I promise! I’m just uncommonly slow lol :P

Surprise Delayed!!!! Re-Delayed

As of 1/19/2018.... Happy New Year! Unfortunately I had to post pone my comic and the little Christmas/New Years Surprise due to unforeseen family emergencys. One of which sadly included my ‘Baby Girl’ having to go to the vet and be watched for over a week.... Long story short she has Renal Kidney Failure... And right now and during the time of New Years (when I happened to get sick myself) With this happening I had to post pone even further. It was difficult convincing myself to stay up and work on the comic for a while. Although I’d stay up and waste time watching YouTube. I just couldn't bring myself to face my surprise and comic and get them ready for posting. What’s real important to me is making sure from here my baby girl has has as long of a life as God will allow her (Which I pray is still many-many years). And making all the time I can around her the happiest she can have. While keeping my Pup Pup happy as can be to, and hopefully all the more healthy :D... Here’s to preying for all the best of health for them both and the rest of my family :) However, good-news As of this night I have begun to work again on the comic. I didn’t get as much work as I’d have hoped done. But after this long month ;D It’s definitely progress. I worked more on a rough draft of a page in the first chapter. Rather then the surprise. Regardless, my plan is still to post the surprise first.

I hope everyone can understand. The reasons I decided not to make a separate post, was due to the fact that this was more of an update on what forced this delay message to be posted in the first place. So yeah... I can’t promise it will be out next week. But I’ll have it down soon. Probably by a months time. I just hope everything works out. Secondly, I’ve been busy elsewhere in life, I’m a full-time college student, in a opera production, and work on top of that. Not including being my families personal assistant/nurse/whatever they need. So I can be busy. To add to this, something that actually lifted my spirits this last week and brought me to actually update you and update my work was something that’s going to keep me busy for the next few months. One of my Oldest friends, and one of the best, just called me up needing a Bridesmaid as her fiance was adding a few groomsmen more then she had planned. She’s having a DIY type wedding in only a few months. Knowing I have a history with art and other things I’ve offered my free time and skills to her. Considering this, and seeing how much she admitted to me we need to get done. I’m going to be busy Bridesmaiding (LOL :D is that even a word ;) ;D LOL oh well I like making them up when I can in conversations) Just if I don’t update frequently. These things are probably why and keeping me from doing so. Though I’m so stoked to be a bridesmaid in another good friends wedding... :D

Anyways, if it takes long... I’ll make a new update. If I do however. I’ll add something to spoil you with another sneak peak to the comic... Probably another static art. Just cause I don’t want to spoil to much...

Also, in the future look to my updates to be finally shorter in words, and comic style. I’ve found inspiration in many of my favorite Webtoon comic artists, and I feel its a perfect thing between updates. I also feel it’s a fun way for me to make a little fun comment to separate the ends of page/chapter updates. Anyways...

..... Hey everyone,

So remember how I promised you a nice little Christmas present wrapped up with a bow that would be posted by January 1st, 2018 (which was the actual date I set for myself)...  Well unfortunately I’ll have to push that date back by another week.  You see at the theater I work and within the last three weeks since Star Wars came out, my coworkers have been spreading a not so friendly wonderful bug around as a Christmas Gift ;(

Well guess who though sick all last Christmas break, was trying her hardest not to get sick again (cause that stupid bugger from last year ruined my immune system for about a year till I could properly rest). The same person who unfortunately still caught the f’ing little monster.... YEP THAT’S RIGHT ME!!!! Thank you for the Lovely New Years Present work, I really appreciate it (Please note I’m just being dramatic here, I don’t hate anyone at work even for giving me this stupid thing. It’s just annoying to have it is all). Seriously. I was going to work when it hit me... Not the funnest moment I might add. Anyways, with that said, though I was putting last minute changes and finishing touches to the small present of a comic to get you hyped for the upcoming one.... I decided, rather then chance it with being sick. To postpone it a week or so. That way I can better work out kinks and won’t ruin it by doing something stupid while being sick... Though this wasn’t the way I hoped to spend my New Years Eve (trust me if I had a say I wouldn’t have to work or be stuck at home, but at my friends place partying since I was invited there...) Huh, sadly life threw me a curve again... Hopefully this doesn’t wack out my immune system or last so freaking long. (I doubt it, it’s just a stomach bug... But now a days I feel like I never know anymore). I hope you guys can understand my reason for pushing back and making a delay on the present. Also note, I was originally going to have a holiday themed present released to you. But in the midst of preparing it. I felt it was to complex even when I tired a simpler idea of the same concept. I kept adding to many complex ideas (otherwise backgrounds too it, like the actual comic) where I originally had hopes for a plane background so it would be a quick comic. So mid creation I put that one (and the idea, the original complex christmas one) one hold for a later time, either this next Christmas in 2018, or during the year like Christmas in July or something fun like that. (which would be nice since I could have more of the comic out with the characters more flushed out in a sense). But with that in mind I took a thought I was thinking of postpoing for a specific chapter that never really fit, or at least will help lead into it when the time comes. I felt this helps explain where we are at in the story and lead into questions that will be raised through out. I realized through I still made it complex, it was an easier concept in the long run to keep simple and get to you faster. So though set in a darker less whimsical tone then I previously had hoped. This is the one I’m creating for the present... So when it comes out. I really hope you enjoy. I have had so much fun drawing and creating it for you.

Long ass post but I’m in mobile so forgive me: Hella Black Panther spoilers below

It’s been long enough I think so Black Panther Hot Take (tm) that i haven’t seen yet (direct me to someone’s posts/article if they are on the same track) :

It was about terrorism. Or, more the making of terrorists. Sure they had criminals and thieves with Klaue (or however Becky Sue white way they spelled it) but Erik was basically Wakanda’s first terrorist.

The language they used to describe his father was very much in line with they way folks describe terrorists, being “radicalized”. It’s always used in news to mean “when they they turned crazy” when it’s always been “when the straw finally broke and they demand change by any means, even violent ones”

Black Panther didn’t treat terrorist as faceless bad guys to pop off like in other movies and something they “””tried””” to do a bit in the other marvel movies to an extent but failed. Erik was a terrorist with a face. Erik was family. He was rightfully part of that community, Wakandan royalty really (the only way he could be closer to new King T’Challa was to be his brother but that woulda been corny) and through isolation and loss funneled his hurt into anger into violence. Sure he hated Wakanda for what it did (or didn’t do) to help black people around the world but he deep down hated what it did to him. He was left an orphan without guidance. Many terrorist learn what they do from “””legitimate””” state militaries, and so did Erik. Old Tolkien White even seemed slightly proud when he announced that Erik was “one of there” as far as a military person and the skills they trained into him. Being in the military only radicalized him more, like many other terrorist.

People were hot brink mad over “Killmonger was right” because Nakia was right and they felt it ignored her and i get that buuuut, I’ll throw in that Nakia would have never been listened to, even with T’Challa head over foot for her, without Erik. He was Wakanda’s mistake. Their near fatal flaw. It took one person, first his dad, then him, to break Wakanda down to the ground. Poor oppressed people around the world are sad to look at sure, but by Wakanda isolationist principles, they are not their problem and so they only have to worry about their own country (America first anyone??) They were fine with the rest of the world thinking it was a dirty dust bowl because it kept them safe. But all it took was for one person to know about Wakanda, it’s wealth and it’s ability to help the rest of the black people they just let, suffer by hands of the rest of the world and people within Africa.

Nakia was radicalized in her own way because she just did not live in Wakanda the same way people just give their shit away and live on nothing and devote their entire life, body and soul to helping. They are helping people but Nakia was putting herself in unbelievable danger to fight the entire world alone and that’s not good for her. But because she lived in Wakanda, her actions were on aid because she had the means.

Erik had nothin, was shooting hoops in a milk crate and the higher he climbed, the harder it was for anyone bring him back down.

All it took for T’Chaka to decide that Erik wasn’t worthy was for him to be born outside of Wakanda. Isolation is a major contributor to people becoming terrorist. And yes, even white boy terrorist as awful as their are, people pray on their isolation. First generation, second gen, American born immigrants deal with the isolation of their family original homes as well as isolation and oppression from their communities and turn to people that promise that the people that hurt them will pay.

I saw a post a day or so back criticizing the idea that Erik was a product of toxic masculinity and I’d have to agree and disagree with them. When you see just looking at Erik as a dude, sure, that’s not all enough to say the reason he’s the way he is was just toxic masculinity, but when you look at him as a terrorist then yes! He’s absolutely the product of toxic masculinity.

Just breaking it down in girl/boy binary, girls tend to talk through their problems (which can leads to rumination [[which is probably the word lots of folks are looking for when they critique “”tumblr’s”” anti recovery culture]] which is bad and prevents recovery but gives them a chance to vent out some stress) or they internalize which leads them to just hurt themselves (Nakia putting her self in straight danger on the regular to help people [[The fact that T’Challa made her the head of the Wakanda outreach center basically in my opinion will save her life because she’d end up dead at a young age in the way she was going]])

While dudes external, which everyone knows, but also they internalize as well, which starts the whole thing in the first place. Toxic masculinity says don’t reach out for help, or talk to anyone and internet conversations that are basically anonymous give them a place to vent without feeling judged and that’s where a lot of radicalization happens now a days. Erik didn’t talk to nor really trust anyone with his plans and even at the end, he was still in so much pain that and anger and fear to do better or that it could be better, he decided to die instead.

But my biggest biggest support for the idea that it was about terrorism was M’Kabi. He was, as the movie progressed, being radicalized into being a terrorist. All he needed was for someone, anyone, to give him some justice for what was done to him (again framed around the criminal Klawfoot and what he did to Wakanda but really, what he did to my family). M’Kabi wasn’t so far gone because he had people that loved him, and he still loved Wakanda and so he was able to stand down, and even with the people not liking his character I found him just as sympathetic as Erik or another other character because he was hurting, and redirected his energy into someone he thought would change things. (Why we have trump tbh. So many Bernie voters when he lost the primary switched to Trump because they wanted changed, stupid but I understand).

Hell, even if Civil War hadn’t intended it, they got half right the plot line that set up for Black Panther with him and the dude that set in motion the movie ( like I said earlier with MCU tried but failed). He understood WHY he did it, they framed his conversation in a weird way, but I think that showed before he was going to be able to understand Erik in Black Panther because that’s old dude was another terrorist, Erik this time was just very close to home and family.

Before the NSA or FBI come knocking st my door, I’m writing this last part as a analysis of Black Panther in comparison to the US, leave me be please:

The US and other “first world counties” are just going to have more terrorist, either home grown ones are from abroad because they have the means to fix the root cause of problems, but choose not to. And that’s way creates terrorist. Like, even if they brought Erik to Wakanda, what if Nakia never came back to Wakanda and had a child outside of the country, what would happen to her child? What about another Wakandan? The problem was Wakanda’s isolation, not who the person was. The problem was the have the means as ability to help all of Africa for one, but chose not to for their own protection. People that either need help in the way of resources, mental health care, or just respect and assurance that they have the right to exist and not have these ideal capitalist life styles shoved in their face and are failures when they can’t change it. (America creates a shit ton of white cishet male terrorist, they know it, they just redirect their anger to brown and black and lgbt folk and disabled folk and Jewish or Muslim folk in hopes their guns won’t turn back in them. They tell white cishet men that they see infallibly right and all they have to do is achieve this goal post in life to also be the masters of the universe but even they are subjected to goal post moving or literally no ball to get into the goal and they are told as men that it’s because they are failures and not a strategic plan to make more white terrorist to terrorize “other” into submission and do their dirty work of policing “others” for them without legal consequences. Basically how white people got doped as sharecroppers to not side with free blacks against the people who were oppressing them both! That’s why white terrorist groups don’t go anyway, and even with gun violence they should 2nd amendment, because they are a low key state sponsored milita)

Like, again, I get why people were pissed at “Killmonger was right” 1) because Nakia existed and 2) they just probably weren’t in on the joke lol 3) it feels weird to sympathize with a terrorist. But that was the point. And B Jordan acted his ass off to make Erik an unironiclly sympathetic villain. His last line when he died still brings me to tears because that’s such a unique African Slave Trade Dysphoria pain that other people don’t understand. (Which I will rant on that at the bottom because Im pissed at someone’s comment on it)

It is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard.

MLk, Jr quote on riots that in sure most folk know but I wanted it here in relation to Erik. He did what he knew and you cans abhor the violence but also you have to condemn the conditions that made him Killmonger.

Cause, like I understood Erik’s reasons, his actions were wrong and innocent people suffered. So he’s wrong in that way. But just like in movies and real life, you can sympathize and understand what brought people to those actions. It doesn’t make you wrong or weak or a bad person to want to change what caused a criminal to be a criminal. If anything, the vilifying and pathologizing of criminals prevents real reforms in society that could have prevented their crime. And we are all guilty as fuck of that. (And no, I’m not saying you have to be nice and forgiving and never be angry at criminals because they still did the crime [[most of the time, bias in the law make this hard to deal with sometimes]] but immediately distancing them from “normal people” makes it so the reason they are they way they are never get fixed. We all are the attack dogs against state reform and prision reform because we throw away criminals instead of fixing the world that made them because “I loved a hard life and I turned out fine, what’s their excuse”, different biology for one and modeling of how to deal with stress from family or peers but another rant for another day). But thats why I brought up white Boy terrorist, probably too much for anyone’s liking; there is an underlying reason to their actions and it isn’t just, toxic masculinity or them being entitled or mental illness or whatever other buzz word, but a country that mass produced them and trains them like dogs and sends them off on anyone they think is in their way of their goal. Republicans are always trying to do that by building a divide between Black Americans and Latinx (American or Immigrants) as a way to sick Black people on Latinx if that’s easy to swallow. They do the same with Asian Americans against Black and Latinx people. Give a crumb and say that person is why you don’t have a full cake, the cake they are fucking eating!

That’s how we get respectably politics because it keeps black people from uniting against the folks that are the ones disrespecting them and making black fight fight for scraps of respect. Or African shitting in AfAms or other way around or throw in some Afro Carribaians into the mix and you’ve got three groups pointing fingers at each other while someone robs them all blind

Like Erik may not be dealing with some of those intra group politics going on since his beef was with Wakanda and not the US but he learned how to hate like that, and learned how to external and divide and conquer from the best in the business at that, living in the US. So it’s still relevant on the creation of terrorist.

At the end, T’Challa made a speech that all nations should make, to commit to helping, really helping, because for him, one Killmonger was enough. He would have loved to welcome him into the family as a cousin and not an enemy.

So Dee’s Hot Fresh Take (Tm): Black Panther was about terrorism and what creates terrorist and I think that umbrella covers shit like toxic masculinity and isolationism and Trans Atlantic dysphoira and racial injustice and the like. Don’t gotta agree, all my sources are in my head because I’m on an adderall fuled typing fest on my phone but it’s solid enough. I like this interpretation anyway lol.

Side rant in Erik’s words, a Household name activist took offense to it (won’t say who they are because I’m not that messy) but suffice it to say, they said something along the lines of celebrating the slaves that made it snd made change and their resilience. Which, you know, dope, but it doesn’t work for Erik nor his story. And I think it takes away a big part of the strength of slaves who ended their lives or the lives of their children rather than suffer they way they did. There is a reason that many black people cant swim, we all know that! It’s because slave owners beat the fear of water into them and the tradition just kept up, more switching to prevent black peoples from enjoying the bounties of nature (and as more research on nature and mental health, a way of preventing black folk healing) but it was to stop slaves from trying to escape AND dying as a form of resistance. When hoteps say the Bible was used to oppression black people and it being the white man’s religion they are only like, part right, like 3% on the mark, because using the Bible, suicide was something punishable in the after life as well and so that prevented a lot of suicides. Abortions fucking crippled plantations sometimes because when the trading stopped, they needed more slaves but women were just not having children as a form of resistance. Death and life has always been a part of resistance and it’s so disengenous to ignore all the slaves that died for the freedom of others, or their faith said that the water would take them back home Igbo Landing Story). People in extreme conditions like they have to always be prepared to die because there lives are always on the line either way. If there Death is meaningful or a mother has to abort every child they have, consentual or not, it’s part of the resistance. And the trauma of it all. We still feel echos of the past in the present but we are so far removed from that very specific pain sometimes that it’s easy to focus on the ones that lived, the heroes, because it gives us hope that it will get better, or we can mobilize for folks that had their life stolen from them because they had more life to live but we sweep the ones that took their own life as if it was the cowards way when we never walked in their shows. And for the writers of black Panther to acknowledge them in the creation of a character like Erik makes me cry. I know when I was younger u tried to separate myself from slavery because it was painful and I heard the Igbo Landing in elementary school and it hurt me so badly I was the only person in my class just uncontrollably balling but I’m older and I respect those people, myth or real, so much. Tbh! In reference to what Erik said, and why slaves drowned themselves to go home, Erik wanted to be burred at sea to return home, to the dead land area, with his dad in their little apartment because Wakanda was nice but he’d never see it as home.

I really really REALLY hate that LGBTQ rep is SO sparse shitty and is only within the last few years gotten a fraction of where it should be that there are so many teens and young adults who literally look at the second most * homophobic way to put in gay characters into a story and go “yaaass queen” and whats worse is that so many people especially male ‘gamers’ are SO homophobic that those of us who ARE gay have to grin and bear it and promote these piece of shit characters because its a way to  Fuck with the homophobes by essentially making them unhappy by reminding them we exist

So the League of Legends tag blew up today apparently because there is this character called Varus and based on peoples responses you’d think the guy was a Garnet-ian fusion of 2 gay men whos Love overcame death.

But thats not it at all.

One of the ancient race of darkin, Varus was a deadly killer who loved to torment his foes with arrows, driving them to insanity before closing for the kill. Two beast hunters - Valmar and his heartlight, Kai - fought the first wave of these invaders at the Temple of Pallas. Though their courage was great and drove off the attackers, Kai was mortally wounded. A grief-stricken Val carried him inside, praying the temple’s magic would restore him.

But the temple held only damnation, and both hunters were consumed by the unleashed power of the darkin. The very matter of their bodies was unraveled and bound together in a warp and weft of new flesh to craft a perfect body, fit to bear the soul of Varus. What emerged from the temple was a gestalt creature, pale and inhumanly beautiful, part human, part darkin, Varus was reborn as an entity with a war for supremacy being waged in its soul.

The human and darkin elements of this newborn body are in constant flux, with each element sometimes managing to wrest control of the body for a short time before being reined in by the other. Varus fights to overcome Val and Kai’s resistance once and for all so that he may wreak vengeance on mortals for the destruction of his race. But Kai and Val fight on against his malevolent influence, hoping against hope that their love can overcome the darkin’s baser urges.

How long Val and Kai can keep Varus fully at bay is anyone’s guess, but should this sadistic and egotistical darkin killer come to fully dominate his new body, it is certain he will seek to reunite with the survivors of his race in hopes of reducing Runeterra to an ashen wasteland.

I posted Pray For our Country and got some anti trumpies comments.  They said  I’ll pray for that man in the WH.  Like he’s the only problem is the only one that we needs to pray about.

Is there another reason to pray?  Is it because bombs are being dropped?  Is it because Obama decided we no longer have to declare war to drop bombs on people? Just pick a country. That we can bomb people anywhere anytime we want?  

Or is it because someone offended you?  Did it offend you when a convicted pedophile got a standing ovation from most of Hollywood including Meryl Streep at the Academy Awards? Or that madonna said she wanted to blow the White House up?   ( remember the Dixie Chicks! )

Or that Hillary Clinton got a child trafficer off the hook? When she kidnapped 30 children in Haiti? Or that this woman now is working for Amber alert? Under a different name? Is it because Muslim grooming gangs in England kept young girls around for sexual purposes for decades?  Is it because refugees from starving Africa are storming the beaches of Spain?  And roaming the streets of Italy with hatchets and machetes? The real hurt came later. The attacks began. Now it’s a serious thing we are talking about.

Maligning to a certain extent one group or another.

Perhaps there is something to be gained from all of this. Certainly each group has something to say a point to make.

We see what is unreasonable, counterproductive. To some extent in it’s virulence, and unnecessary.

State your point, without bashing the rest of the world. Behave yourself online. Don’t make stupid comments. Don’t make hurtful comments. Don’t attack. Don’t vilify. Because that’s not what happened in the first place.

Through this lens ljust look at what happened. The boys do the school cheer. The blacks made their points however crude. The Native Americans intervene ostensibly prayerfully to create harmony. Good deal. The smirking white boy, an underage teen, was praying all the time for a peaceful resolution.  An end to the confusion. Admirable.

And guess what, prayers were answered.

Let’s be thankful for that.

Let these antagonistic voices reflect on their own motives, meanspiritedness, within their own souls and consciousness. Is what I am doing ugly, one sided and unfair? “I went off without hearing the whole story. And it devolved into a diatribe. For that I apologize. I got it wrong.”

Hey John, I’ve seen some of your Facebook posts that come in my feed checked out your page. I knew your dad.

Just remember the words to the prayer, is my best unsolicited advice.  It touches us all and everything better than anything and believe me I’ve searched my whole life. It’s a condensation and distillation of things that are spiritually meaningful to all of us. Best of all they are not my words or anybody else’s of similar human consciousness. We know they come from a higher place and beyond ourselves and they lift us up to that level. That’s my experience which I’m trying to share in this song. People share lots of things on fb, right?

I believe you are musically gifted ... I heard from your dad and others.  I don’t know if we’ve actually met but I remember there was some good buzz when you were younger.  

I’m trying to spread the word and various people come up, in my consciousness, individuals who for one reason or another I really want to share it with.

There’s no reason to think that by the boys not being where they were supposed to be that there was ill intent on their part ... just wandering off.

Apparently these days just about anything no matter how innocent, like wandering off makes you a bad guy. That is very wrong in my opinion. Having white skin makes me a bad guy. It’s called identity politics, but it’s more like a circular firing squad.

And it’s orchestrated by the truly guilty, the fraction of 1% that control our minds. This control is exercised mainly through the Democratic Party these days but in times past it was the Republicans.

Neoliberals have emerged in the same way that neocons emerged and like a parasite have taken over the brain and diverted it 180° opposite from it’s original purpose and identity.

How can you get the majority of peaceful people to go to war without a pearl harbor or a Gulf of Tonkin or an assassination or a 911. Can you actually create a Civil War over an issue? They can. And they work on it day and night. Rust never sleeps.  

They have all of the tools and resources. Political power, the media, money.

When Mao was losing power he used his wife to destroy a culture.  I see the Clinton’s and their backers doing basically the same thing.  Any means necessary to retain power. Even if it takes down the whole country in process.  It doesn’t matter who you sleep with. Change the laws change the religion change the family destroy the family blame the culture, blame this one and that one, it’s all justified.  

But never blame those w the big $, the ones that have no allegiance but to power and who fund your group. Through their corrupt shell game, foundation/money laundering operation.

Back to the wandering off bit.  If there was a group of native Americans demonstrating or protesting or just doing something interesting wouldn’t you want to watch? Maybe you might wander off too, to see what was going on? That was the whole wish and desire of the Native Americans.  They wanted that attention. So why were the boys at fault for wanting to check it out? It was interesting. How did they know what would happen next?

But it’s so easy in this culture to pin the blame on the innocent.  And even feel good about it because you are taking up for the “poor oppressed minority.”   But not the poor, oppressed white families faltering in this climate less and less which Bernie recognized. Austerity.

I will embrace them too when they realize I’m not the enemy.  I pray for them because I have more in common with them than what divides us if they only knew that we have a common enemy. I’m trying to add it all up.  I think I’m making progress:

What happened was nothing compared to what happens later. A descent.

But initially what happened? Each group made their point. Peacefully. Nothing happened. The fact that this had a good outcome, the three opposing groups had their say each in their moment and no one got hurt.

What happens a bit later, media types begin shaming....Your group is to blame. Blame blame blame.  

CNN set it up and dutifully the chorus chimed in. On cue just as we have come to expect.

There is something about creating impossible standards for people that sets them up for control. It’s a means of control and repression common among very manipulative types. (Sociopaths)

The real hurt came later. The attacks began. Now it’s a serious thing we are talking about.

Maligning to a certain extent one group or another.

Perhaps there is something to be gained from all of this. Certainly each group has something to say a point to make.

We see what is unreasonable, counterproductive. To some extent in it’s virulence, and unnecessary.

State your point, without bashing the rest of the world. Behave yourself online. Don’t make stupid comments. Don’t make hurtful comments. Don’t attack. Don’t vilify. Because that’s not what happened in the first place.

Through this lens ljust look at what happened. The boys do the school cheer. The blacks made their points however crude. The Native Americans intervene ostensibly prayerfully to create harmony. Good deal. The smirking white boy, an underage teen, was praying all the time for a peaceful resolution.  An end to the confusion. Admirable.

And guess what, prayers were answered.

Let’s be thankful for that.

Let these antagonistic voices reflect on their own motives, meanspiritedness, within their own souls and consciousness. Is what I am doing ugly, one sided and unfair? “I went off without hearing the whole story. And it devolved into a diatribe. For that I apologize. I got it wrong.”  

Later the Native Americans went to a church. During mass. They were not allowed to go in for fear that they would disrupt the services.

What if someone had come out and said you’re welcome to come in if you are quiet and respectful. Or you can wait and we will have a representative out here to listen to what you have to say.

Can you imagine ... Native Americans and Catholics outside on the steps harmoniously joining together in prayer?

Both sides believe in praying do they not?

Each side attaches solemnity to the act of praying. Then what is to prevent them from praying together?

That moment has passed but another moment is possible. We have had time to reflect, to process and come to a meeting of the minds.

Hey John, I’ve seen some of your Facebook posts that come in my feed checked out your page. I knew your dad.

Just remember the words to the prayer, is my best unsolicited advice.  It touches us all and everything better than anything and believe me I’ve searched my whole life. It’s a condensation and distillation of things that are spiritually meaningful to all of us. Best of all they are not my words or anybody else’s of similar human consciousness. We know they come from a higher place and beyond ourselves and they lift us up to that level. That’s my experience which I’m trying to share in this song. People share lots of things on fb, right?

I believe you are musically gifted ... I heard from your dad and others.  I don’t know if we’ve actually met but I remember there was some good buzz when you were younger.  

I’m trying to spread the word and various people come up, in my consciousness, individuals who for one reason or another I really want to share it with.

There’s no reason to think that by the boys not being where they were supposed to be that there was ill intent on their part ... just wandering off.

Apparently these days just about anything no matter how innocent, like wandering off makes you a bad guy. That is very wrong in my opinion. Having white skin makes me a bad guy. It’s called identity politics, but it’s more like a circular firing squad.

And it’s orchestrated by the truly guilty, the fraction of 1% that control our minds. This control is exercised mainly through the Democratic Party these days but in times past it was the Republicans.

Neoliberals have emerged in the same way that neocons emerged and like a parasite have taken over the brain and diverted it 180° opposite from it’s original purpose and identity.

How can you get the majority of peaceful people to go to war without a pearl harbor or a Gulf of Tonkin or an assassination or a 911. Can you actually create a Civil War over an issue? They can. And they work on it day and night. Rust never sleeps.  

They have all of the tools and resources. Political power, the media, money.

When Mao was losing power he used his wife to destroy a culture.  I see the Clinton’s and their backers doing basically the same thing.  Any means necessary to retain power. Even if it takes down the whole country in process.  It doesn’t matter who you sleep with. Change the laws change the religion change the family destroy the family blame the culture, blame this one and that one, it’s all justified.  

But never blame those w the big $, the ones that have no allegiance but to power and who fund your group. Through their corrupt shell game, foundation/money laundering operation.

I guess what they want more than anything else at this point is civil war. They’ve taken civil disobedience and added violence to the mix and perverted Martin Luther King Jr’s. message or dismissed it.  

But most Americans still believe it. Most Americans don’t believe in what the neo liberals are pushing.  They have seen what the neocons did to this country.  And they are not buying this divisive “movement” to further divide us, either.  

It’s been around for quite some time, three decades at least. It’s never been about uniting us. It’s never been about us. And that’s what Bernie tried  to do and did! Unite us. And look what happened to him.

The DNC has been exposed and yet they keep on going in the same direction. They are still leading the charge off this cliff. Male against female, black against white etc. And these people the majority of them are good people and couldn’t care less. So they’ve come for the children.  

Look how CNN twisted what happened and turned on these boys. Got the whole nation  up in arms against them. Now they get death threats and have been docsed.  

Can you imagine CNN calling high school kids “school shooters?”  But that’s the side CNN took.  Against kids.  These are foul, evil people at CNN. They are supposed to be journalists and they are preaching hatred against kids.

Back to the wandering off bit.  If there was a group of native Americans demonstrating or protesting or just doing something interesting wouldn’t you want to watch? Maybe you might wander off too, to see what was going on? That was the whole wish and desire of the Native Americans.  They wanted that attention. So why were the boys at fault for wanting to check it out? It was interesting. How did they know what would happen next?

But it’s so easy in this culture to pin the blame on the innocent.  And even feel good about it because you are taking up for the “poor oppressed minority.”   But not the poor, oppressed white families faltering in this climate less and less which Bernie recognized. Austerity.

It’s not good judgment, or just, to do that but that’s what happens again and again.  

This time it happened to a group of teenage Catholic boys. Who I think behaved admirably.

Who targeted them?  The minorities that everyone is so quick to embrace even if they are in the wrong. Even if they are railroading an innocent person or persons. Or a whole country.  

I will embrace them too when they realize I’m not the enemy.  I pray for them because I have more in common with them than what divides us if they only knew that we have a common enemy. As long as we are divided the problems will become worse.  Our enemies would fall in a nanosecond if we all united.  

It’s CNN’s job to make sure we don’t. That’s their real mission, and their real job. Not reporting the news. That’s what they get paid for. Hit pieces against kids. Not reporting the news. Not reporting what actually happened.

Trump’s approval numbers for July according to Gallup, are higher than LBJ, Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter and the same as Clinton. Depressing isn’t it?  But keep swimming.  Keep up the good fight. But be careful about unintended consequences.  

There are people that actually voted for Trump. It’s not a crime. They were exercising their rights. Now you want to bash them. I understand. I posted Pray For our Country and got some anti trumpies comments.  They said  I’ll pray for that man in the WH.  Like he’s the only problem is the only one that we needs to pray about.

It’s starting to really piss me off.  Give them an inch and they’ll take a mile.  

Is there another reason to pray?  Is it because bombs are being dropped?  Is it because Obama decided we no longer have to declare war to drop bombs on people? Just pick a country. That we can bomb people anywhere anytime we want?  

Or is it because someone offended you?  Did it offend you when a convicted pedophile got a standing ovation from most of Hollywood including Meryl Streep at the Academy Awards? Or that madonna said she wanted to blow the White House up?   ( remember the Dixie Chicks! )

Or that Hillary Clinton got a child trafficer off the hook? When she kidnapped 30 children in Haiti? Or that this woman now is working for Amber alert? Under a different name? Is it because Muslim grooming gangs in England kept young girls around for sexual purposes for decades?  Is it because refugees from starving Africa are storming the beaches of Spain?  And roaming the streets of Italy with hatchets and machetes? Hi Kathy, I'm sorry I upset you. We can agree to disagree? I'm sure there's a lot we agree on.

Number one we are in deep do. But we just know it now but i guess we always have been.  

They tried to kill us once already in the 60s, but somehow we fought back and we won. I wish we could have that kind of unity today. I think there's a way but we need to make certain tweaks. Remember it was all about civil disobedience and Henry David Thoreau.  Mahatma Gandhi.  Martin Luther King. Bob Dylan. And I believe that kind of a movement is still possible.  But they've taken away the music from young people and left them with Taylor Swift.  

Back then we felt that women had our backs. That's not true today. The feminist counter movement became obsessed with attacking men and advancing some strange agenda, apart from liberating women. It became part of the divide and conquer strategy.  

Every movement, is prone to a counter movement.  The countermovement is in many of these movements.  They take the energy from the movement and use it for their own devices and political purposes.  To garner support>votes>power not for the people but for themselves, those at the top of the countermovement within these movements.

There I go again.  But doesn't that make sense Kathy?  It really doesn't matter if we agree even on this. That is just one example of how we can agree to disagree and still survive. This has happened even in the church.  In every movement. Every movement that becomes a household word is fair game and a prime target to be overtaken and used and taken in a direction that it was not intended for. Sometimes the very opposite of that direction. This is true in the case of the church. The goal is to capture the heart. The closer it gets to the heart the more damage is done. If they can’t get to the heart from the inside they will destroy it from the outside as in the case of environmental assaults on our mountains and water.  

One of the tweaks I mentioned was allowing God to inform our decisions.  We have to do this first in ourselves.  We have to forgive for one thing. Remember we had Martin Luther King, a minister, a preacher a church person. Yes we do have to be careful. That’s why I say it begins in our own hearts.

I really don’t mean to preach. I just think it’s important that we allow God at least allow people who have that in their make up to exist if that is their dream to have it as a part of their solution.  

Some people feel this is an outmoded form of expression.  It certainly can be abused and a means of control which is what God does not want. To me the Lords prayer is the perfect expression of God and also Psalm 23.   But there are many more. These are just two of the ones that have had a major impact on me.  

But I recognize that even in myself there is a war going on.  So sometimes I have to step back and re-center.  When everything is working properly within and everything is in balance that is the only time I really have anything to offer.  It’s really easy to fall off the wagon though.  Trial and error.  It’s not easy to get there.  

This morning I woke up and everything was fine. Then I thought of some injury or slight and immediately my happiness was gone.   Because my focus became anger.  Yes, I do have a lot to be angry about but I can’t focus on it. And I have to forgive from my heart if I want to be happy, is what I realized.  So i’m working on it. Lol.  OK?   Hopefully I’ll change. Become more mellow, lol. Bear w me ok?  It’s important to me to get along with people care about. I understand if you need a break from this deeply flawed person. I know I’m a handful. I try to shield people from my neuroses and unpleasantness, but sometimes it gets the better of me.  I’ve always been kind of an agitator at heart.  But I will always try to make it right.  Right now I think that people just need a break from all of my drama.   That’s the message I’m giving this morning.

in school there were definitely people who wanted to be her friend, most of belle’s loneliness was self-made because she thought people were pitying her or wanting to be her friend to get into her pants/have her help them with school (both of which were often true.) but she was very good friends with a few of her teachers, and of course, mr. livre, the owner of chapter three.

humming. belle hums a lot. she used to sing too, when she lived alone. but she hums when she’s reading sometimes, even, without realizing she’s doing it. or hums while she’s making dinner or in the shower or cleaning (which she rarely does lmao)

secretly loves trashy romance novels, though she’d never admit to it. she’s not really a fan of autobiographies.

belle used to draw on her bedroom window with dry erase markers. she created these beautiful scenes to entertain herself (she’d like stage whole battles and stuff) because she didn’t have any traditional toys--no dolls or leggos or anything like that. all she really had was her imagination.

when belle will be sharp as a whip until the day she dies. she’s that grandma that is still up and moving around at 97 years old, correcting people for their grammar and having philosophical discussions.

belle is not the world’s greatest cook. she had to entirely teach herself and while she is excellent at following a recipe, she is almost too good, and never leaves room for interpretation which leaves her food just kind of meh.

belle rarely wears patterns, unless she’s going to an event, and even then she stays away from them--or too-bright of colors. anything that draws the eye. she dresses pretty conservatively too, long to-the-knee skirts at least and blouses buttoned all the way up (she’s a master at safety pinning her shirts so they don’t pop open.)

belle knows allllll the kinds of tools like the difference between a philip’s head and a flat head screwdriver; hammers, different kinds of nails, screws, etc etc. because she helped her dad a lot on his inventions.

☾ - sleep headcanon

as a kid, simba was read to every night without fail and then listened to books on tape to fall asleep, or music if all else fails. he got broken of the habit when away for school, but when he has a bad night the easiest way for him to get back to sleep is to listen to someone read him something.

★ - sad headcanon

every time something significant happens in his life (he gets engaged/married, has a kid/dog, gets a new job, moves)--he’s going to cry because he wants so badly to share those things with his dad and he can’t.

☆ - happy headcanon

simba is lowkey like super excited to go through all of kiara’s big milestones with her. he doesn’t really talk about it but he thinks about her graduations and her getting married (and he really hopes she’ll ask him to walk her down the aisle or some equivalent--”give her away” or w/e).

☠ - angry/violent headcanon

when simba gets angry it is almost 100% of the time because someone put someone in danger or was in danger themselves. most of his like true anger is a defense mechanism against fear.

✿ - Sex headcanon

simba is like the most goofy person during sex like 70% percent of the time. he likes to crack jokes or tickle or just do things to make the other person laugh because he’s super comfortable with his body and stuff but he knows other people aren’t so he’s always tried to be like a super relaxed partner and likes to make sex fuN because it should be FUN

when he was a kid, simba was superrrr messy. it got a little better when he was in boarding school bc im sure they had like regular room inspections, but as soon as he hit uni his shit exploded again. buttt when he bought the cabin, he fixed it up himself. there were like leaky ceilings and rotted floorboards and all sorts of stuff, and he spent like a whole year fixing it up and painting it and picking out all the furniture. his house is lowkey his baby and he doesn’t like it being messy bc he wants it to look impressive. it’s definitely like--lived in, but not messy.

♡ - romantic headcanon

simba is not one of those people who withholds his “i love you’s” and he’s not someone who thinks saying it makes it mean less because that’s utterly ridiculous. he grew up with a family that said “i love you” a lot and he thinks it’s very important that the person u love knows that.

♥ - family headcanon

there is a big line for simba between friends and family. and yes, it is possible for people not related to him to cross the divide, but it is very distinct for him. it doesn’t mean he really treats people differently--until it comes to making the decision of keeping someone in his life or not. friends are a lot easier for him to cut out, but it is almost impossible for him to cut out family (you have to be taka, lmao. he is the exception.)

☮ - friendship headcanon

simba is so incredibly loyal to his friends. and he is definitely that person to call when you have to move or when you need a last minute babysitter or you have two tickets to some boring art show and you need someone to go with you. the friend to call if you’re feeling weird while walking home at dusk. he will bend over backwards to keep the people he loves happy and he is more than wiling to lend an ear or helping hand.

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon

simba keeps a prayer mat in his office/at home/and in his car and he prays three times a day almost without fail (only if he is too depressed/drunk not to). he prays at sunrise (shorook), afternoon (asr), and evening (maghrib). (he mixes it up sometimes, like depending on his schedule he’ll pray at noon or later at night--there are five prayer times.)

☯ - likes/dislikes headcanon

simba loves snacks. or food in general. he’s always eating. which makes ramadan so rough for him ahaha. he very much dislikes people who think that they are know-it-alls. they make him feel stupid.

▼ - childhood headcanon

simba’s favorite thing when he was a kid was when everyone would get together and dance. this could be just him and his mom and dad; or him and nala and their other friends; or whole groups of people together. he just lovesss dancing.

simba will be the cutest old man omg. he’ll still love babies so much whenever someone in the family has a baby he’s that grandpa that is just so cute and wants to touch their little heads and give little kisses and give all sorts of life advice to the parents (unsolicited.)

food is a big, important thing to simba because it symbolizes family and bounty. he’s used to just having huge meal celebrations with his family and whenever he eats he hates to do it alone, he’ll go wandering around with his plate until he can find someone to bother while he eats.

☼ - appearance headcanon

simba is a surprisingly snazzy dresser. his mother has an eye for fashion, and tbh so does simba. he loves colors, he rarely wears jeans because he much prefers colored trousers. he has all sorts of fun shoes and shirts and ties and he wears colorful bracelets sometimes too, and occasionally cloth or beaded necklaces from kenya. now he has his dad’s watch that he wears sometimes, though not always.

ൠ - random headcanon

now that things are better, sarabi was finally able to give simba everything that was left to him by his father in the will--including a few quilts his grandmother made, his father’s watch and a few other pieces of jewelry, and, most importantly, his father’s wedding ring (sarabi gave him her wedding band too, though she kept the engagement ring to continue wearing.)
