Thinking about clothes and gender expression and my biggest win when someone came up to me in high school and excitedly told me they loved my style and how they thought I was like. 5 or 7 different stylish people bc of how varied my outfits were 😂

How funny would it be if Noir relied on Hobie to update him on current day politics while being completely out of touch with modern day gay humor
Miguel yells at Hobie one (1) time and then Hobie tells Noir it's because he's anti-black and Noir takes it 100% seriously
Miguel rants about why Gwen shouldn't crash in Hobie's dimension and he says "He hates to see the gays winning" and Noir also takes this as a hard fact
One day Hobie and Noir show up to Spidey HQ covered in nazi blood from other dimensions and Miguel snaps at them about disrupting canon and finally Noir steps up and says
"I've had enough of this anti-black homophobe" with deadly seriousness and Hobie almost passes the fuck out

MORE NAMES TO KNOW
Tina Bell: frontwoman of the band Bam Bam, often called the Godmother of grunge because of its influence. Racism within the scene has led to her influence being pretty extensively erased but her bandmate and lifelong friend Scotty Buttocks has been working hard to counteract that by doing press and preserving their music here. Kurt fucking Cobain was their roadie
Betty Davis: 70s funk rock legend who just recently passed away. Incredibly unique performer that was way ahead of her time. Not to be confused with Bette Davis.
Sistah Grrrl Riots: A black punk collective put together in response to alienation and racism in the 90s punk and riot grrrl scenes. Organized by legends Tamar-Kali Brown, Honeychild Coleman, Maya Glick, and Simi Stone. You can read more about sistah grrrl in this article.
Ronnie Spector: Frontwoman of the Ronettes and rock n roll pioneer. Black girl groups were a huge influence on the sound of Rock n Roll as we know it from The Beatles to Led Zepplin to the Rolling Stones. She recently passed but her autobiography came out last year and it's worth the read.

Nah but let’s talk abt how ppl use disability terms/harmful stereotypes/ derogatory words so casually this disabled pride month (tw ableism below)
The new terms are “sch*zoposting” and “delulu” but shit like this has been around for years and it’s so incredibly frustrating.
Another example is those TikTok POVS about “the weird kid in class” but they are all stereotypes of autistic ppl.
Or the misuse of the word triggered, the misuse of the word OCD, the misuse of gaslighting, of cr*pple, “are you deaf?” “Are you blind?” “Hellen Keller isn’t real.” I could go on and on but I will simply say this.
Disabled people are real people with feelings, emotions and lives. We deserve to use the terms that we need to COMFORTABLY. We deserve to exist without people taking the language used in the context of ourselves and putting it in a negative light.
We deserve to exist.
We deserve happiness.
Check in on your disabled friends.
Don’t assume things about people you don’t know.

i’m thinking about sick4sick friendships i’m thinking about keeping spare meds in my bag to share with my buddies. my partner offering me their cane when i can’t smuggle my own out the house.
im thinking about sick4sick with strangers. sharing advice. the grin when you have the same canes. complimenting cool mobility aids.
i’m thinking about hand me down knee braces and joint straps my dad gives to me. passing them on like heirlooms.
im thinking about the solidarity in pain and how beautiful it can be
edit: hello everyone enjoying this post i made a longer version on my blog if u wanna check it out :o)

If you don't know anything about eugenics beyond forced sterilization, or only define eugenics by forced sterilization, or by any one version of it, you're not only never going to understand eugenics, but you'll never be able to fight that ideology or keep it out of your spaces or unlearn it yourself. Saying you think disabled people just shouldn't exist in an "ideal" society is eugenics too, just like genetic engineering us out of existence, just like saying you wouldn't have a disabled child, or promoting the idea of us being completely separated from "abled society" in some sort of "separate but equal" supposed compromise.
Eugenics can be born simply out of believing our lives are nothing but suffering and that makes them less worth living, thus we shouldn't exist. But that's not true. I do suffer horribly in this ableist society, and I also suffer solely from certain aspects of my disabilities, but that doesn't mean disabled people shouldn't exist. Suffering doesn't mean I shouldn't exist. It means you should be working to eradicate ableism and people should continue working on science to help disabled people live with our disabilities. It means you should listen to us, ask us "how can we help", not eradicate us and the fact people move so quickly to that idea is scary as fuck.
And yet, today I had to talk with a trans person who told me people like me shouldn't be born, that mental illness' were "diversities" but cripples were disabled and lived their lives in suffering, so they should be engineered out of existence. This was all very leftist, mind you-No forced anything, just a dream of a mass program to genetically engineer cripples away until no disabilities were left at all, for "the better of our species".
It just makes me sad, things like that. I wish it made me angrier but no, people who should be my community telling me my people shouldn't exist is just sad, especially when it comes with the determined stance that it's not, in fact, eugenics. I mean, if you're going to be a dick, at least call your bullshit what it is. At least know what eugenics are! That's basic as hell!
So lesson of the day: learn your eugenics, listen to disabled folks, fuck ableism and never tell disabled people you don't believe people with their disabilities should exist.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, Punk is a music-based subculture and isn't inherently anarchist/commie/leftist. Yes, there is a long history of very political punks and yes, people who care work hard to get skinheads and racists out of their spaces. But that isn't universal. Y'all gonna get hurt going into these spaces if you think everyone there is progressive and kind. Hell, even the "anarchist" punks have a lot of racist/sexist/ableist tendencies themselves. One goodnight white pride patch does not reading actual theory make.
