#wasnt wearing leg padding in these so sorry sams a bit skinny #sam and max #cosplay #crunchchute art #my art #i could remake the pants and jacket entirely but that would be quite hard actually. i suck at making jackets especially #so those are just thrifted and edited #lots of color differences that bug me but. oh well #pants and jacket arent that different but its noticeable in these pics #as well as maxs hands and feet. theyre slightly lighter as the fabric i used is better quality #but i ran out of the stuff i used on his body etc and i couldnt buy more from that store as they took their sweet time shipping the stuff #oh well. didnt make them for a competition so its okay #im my own biggest hater and my own biggest critic #at the end of the day i made a handful of people really happy and thats all that matters to me #gotta share them every chance i get as i usually just make a cos #wear it to the con and then put it on the shelf #but im too happy with these to just hide them away after #they need a good scrub and after that id like to bring them to another con. next main goal is viecc but thats just a maybe right now

For anyone wanting to get into the Dungeon Meshi anime who only knows English, especially if you're uncertain whether you want to watch it dubbed or subbed, I'd like to recommend the dub.

Both jp and eng performances are really good, but unfortunately the subtitles for the sub are...lacking. While not inaccurate, they're missing a lot of the clarity and nuance (such as: set up and punchlines for jokes) and make it seem much less like a comedy series.

But the dub translation makes all the comedic beats much more explicit and obvious, and it's easier to follow along with the story too. Especially if you haven't read the manga, dub gets you the intended viewing experience if you need English.

#this might change if the quality of the subtitles improves with later episodes tho #Also can i just day I really appreciate the original Japanese has it's own unique subtitles rather than lifting from the dub script #because translation is different from localization and ofc the dub won't reflect the original Japanese script #unfortunately the subs provided Kind Of Suck #dungeon meshi #translation #delicious in dungeon #textpost

its honestly really disappointing to me at least that Adam is just gonna end up as a Mammon reskin. Like, I dunno I saw his design and I had some interesting thoughts about the first Man, yknow? I found it interesting that they have him demon like features, suggesting that maybe underneath his holier-than-thou appearance and attitude, he really isn't that different from the sinners he kills. But he hides that part away, acting formal and polite and as much of a good little Christian boy under the eyes of God. When God isn't looking though? He would show his true colours instantly....

But no. They just made the angel say fuck.

#swimming cap was one of my favorite options on artbreeder #bc most images of swimming caps...are on people in bathing suits #so if you put swimming cap into the 'dna' of the image you'd get a lot of. Flesh. #but now like artbreeder dall-e mini all those that used to make super weird janky output that absolutely didnt look like real photos or art #ork. they've all 'upgraded' their image generation to the ai generated stuff we're all familiar with now. and it sucks that stuff is so BOR #NG. even putting aside any ethical arguments ai artwork nowadays is just BORING AS FUCK!!! any ai-generated image that seeks to replicate #either real photos or human-made artwork is going to fall short imo. there have been times when ive been moved/loved ai art and it is ALWAY #when they lean into the strange fucked up quality that computer generated images can have!! the way things mesh and bleed into each other #its really visually interesting!!
