Mannn. I don’t think I’ll ever finish this but I started this digital painting of kraken era Ed making his crew get him ready in his own wedding attire based on the painting ‘The Reluctant Bride’ by Auguste Toulmouche based on this tweet

Excuse me...I'm gonna f**king end you. :D
Love the depiction of rage and anger in situations which rarely show/depict a negative emotion...
[Auguste Toulmouche: The Reluctant Bride/The Hesitant Fiancée, c. 1866, oil on canvas.]

a custom made for the absolutely fantastic, @ moonkelpie on DA , i am proud to present the reluctant bride custom! inspired by the painting of the bride who wished not to be! i had a bit of a hard time trying to find a way to format the character to fit the sort of framing i wanted. but ultimately, i decided on this sort of pose.
one where the tail curled around to meet the same kind of structure a wedding dress would in a sort of queen style. the elegant nature of the design helped lend itself to shaping her own personality within the structure, and i’m really proud of that aspect.
the colors ended up being a bit more muted than i intended, but it ultimately worked out for the better in the end!
thank you once more to @ moonkelpie for commissioning me for the custom !

the fact I’ll probably never see “the hesitant fiancée” (or “the reluctant bride” according to some translations) in person has me seething
look at her!! come on!

I need to behold this in a gilded frame in a way that would make my younger museum self proud
