Druella and Bellatrix thoughts or hcs?

Again sorry its taken me so long to answer this, i'm getting to all my oldest asks today (some 2 months old like this one)!!! Have a few thoughts and HCs about their relationship.

◜ ۞ ◞ Bellatrix has never got along with her, they differ far too greatly not just in looks — Druella: blonde, blue eyed, thin lipped, soft featured, Bellatrix: black haired, grey eyed, full lips, strong features — but also in personality. Bellatrix is just like Walburga. Druella hates that.

◜ ۞ ◞ Bellatrix calls her ‘Druella’.

◜ ۞ ◞ Druella was always far too hard on Bellatrix. Too much Black and not enough Rosier, she would say.

◜ ۞ ◞ Druella was extremely disappointed in Bellatrix for taking up with the Dark Lord. She called her his whore multiple times. It didn’t ever bother Bellatrix what she thought. If anything her mother’s disdain for the Dark Lord only pushed her harder into his clutches and his bed.

◜ ۞ ◞ Bellatrix would actively rebel out against Druella who wanted her to be a good pureblood wife and mother. She married of her own volition, choosing Rodolphus herself (Druella wanted her to marry someone else) and refusing to have children by him.

◜ ۞ ◞ the only time Bellatrix was ever physically violent to her mother was when she called her unborn child ‘a half-blood’s bastard’. She slapped her so hard she had a mark on her face for weeks that no potion or salve could heal. Bellatrix struck her with a heavy force of her dark magic and it terrified her. Druella stopped speaking out against him after that.

◜ ۞ ◞ Druella did however, grow to love her granddaughter very much. She may not have approved but she saw so much of her beautiful little baby Bellatrix in Delphini and couldn’t help find the little girl charming and sweet. She died just before Draco was born but she’d have had a softer spot for him instead.

◜ ۞ ◞ Druella’s death did very little to Bellatrix. By then she’d seen so much of war it didn’t even hurt and she certainly didn’t cry at her funeral, but even if she hadn’t been at war, it wouldn’t have made a difference.

◜ ۞ ◞ despite this all Bellatrix is still the Rosier heiress. She didn’t want the title but she can do nothing about it. She did however give the estates to Narcissa who uses it as a holiday home (seen as it’s in France). Bellatrix very rarely goes there, though she has fond memories of her great-aunt Vinda and her best friend and cousin Evan.

I love that you headcanon Bella is Cygnus’ favourite and Narcissa is Druella’s! How do you headcanon their relationships specifically? (Not including Andy I don’t like her 😅)

Its ok, no one likes Andy (jk - not jk).

I guess I see the most similarities between Cyg/Bella and Dru/Cissa and that was why I veered to the daddy's girl Bella and mummy's girl Cissa buckets. As for their actual relationships I definitely see the Blacks and Rosiers as very different (which is why maybe Pollux wasn't keen on Dru but Cygnus married her out of love anyway and what difference did it make ultimately? She was still a well-bred pureblood). I also see Bellatrix and Narcissa embodying those differences but still both being very much Black.

Cygnus / Bella - black hair, grey eyes, confident (almost cruel) laughs, haughty in views expressions and beliefs, tall, slim women and tall, broad men, well defined muscle naturally, extremely good looking in unconventional ways, darker (in very dark lashes, high cheekbones, thick black wavy/curly shining hair), expensive in general, rich naturally more earthy scented skin.

Druella / Narcissa - thin, blonde long straight hair, blue eyed, pretty, dainty in aesthetic, pointed noses, fine elegance, quieter, haughty in views but not as arrogant, expensive taste, decadent, scents of flowers and fine silks.

Cygnus and Bellatrix I can see going hunting together on thestral-back or atop their Abraxans, rather being alone than out in society but being ever so charming when they are, reading ancient tomes by firelight, practicing dark traditions by moonlight.

Druella and Narcissa I can see being the most beautiful and well-attended ladies in society, being the centre of attention and jealousy amongst witches, enjoying their herbology and potionmaking, tending beautiful magical gardens.

just thought of something so naturally, i refuse to suffer alone.

Imagine this:

Barty was the one who killed Dorcas. After the deaths of Regulus and Pandora, his mind was already starting to fracture. Dorcas was his childhood best friend who always had his back. The Regulus to his Pandora if you will. However, the war tore them apart. After he killed Marlene, Dorcas went after him for blood.

Two souls intertwined and fought it out because they knew no other way of life. Their mediators and the ones who would normally calm them were gone. I don't think Barty ver meant to kill Cas, he just saw an opponent and fought with all he had. They both died sorry

Hear me out- Rosekiller where Barty's dad wants him to continue the family tradition as law enforcement. But Barty refuses to be a cop, let alone a detective, so as a last ditch his dad pulls some strings and get him an internship with the towns coroner/mortcian.

(I know those are two VERY different professions, but imagine this is small town vibes, they cant afford to have two seperate offices)

Only problem is the funeral home is owned by a pair of twins that are only mentioned in gossiping whispers in the town. The Rosiers.

Pandora whose a bit strange, wears bone jewelry, and insists on salting the windows regularly. But she's not bad- its her brother thats the problem.

Evan who is dead silent and moves like a ghost, eyes vacant of light and can make hairs stand on end by just a glance. It doesn't help the hot boy will randomly enter a room covered in blood, speak in old enlgish threats, and gets a bit too excited about doing autopsy reports.

TLDR: Barty has never been more thankful for his dads bullshit and its getting increasingly more tempting to ask Evan if he wants a live patient
