The Seven came out a while ago and has already been talked about, but I was so unprepared for the feral feminine energy of this campaign! It’s been so long since I was in a group of girls all excited and screaming over each other and riffing on each others jokes while being wildly inappropriate, and this campaign throws me back to it. It’s so chaotic and delightful and scattered. It feels like watching a loud runaway train that Brennan is trying and only sometimes succeeding to steer.
[start i.d.: a drawing of sam nightingale like needy from the pool scene in jennifer’s body. she looks at the viewer with a soft, smug look, drenched in sewer slime. the entire image has a green/teal haze. end i.d.]
yeah. two years ago when you were still socially relevant.
man, if kipperlily hates the bad kids, i bet she fucking LOATHES the seven, who canonically have a cross-grades adventuring party (which seems actively discouraged given that almost every other party is formed freshman year first day), gamed their exams to stay together longer, were sent on several quests assigned by aguefort himself, and, when the time came that they would have HAD to break up to comply with the rules, they got to skip the last stand entirely and went on a quest basically custom-made for them to find the superintendent and graduate early together
Just want to remind everyone that i’m 90% sure the seven happens the same year as the bad kids junior year so depending on the time frame canonically the Laertes scene is happening during this season at some point and that’s going to be on my mind the ENTIRE time
one of my favourite things abt the fantasy high universe is how they blend modern cell phones into an otherwise typical fantasy world. gorgug desperately trying to make a cell tower so he can make up with his girlfriend while on a quest to literally save the entire world from a being of pure nightmares. the bad kids streaming a viral shrimp party & using their following to weaken a plague that’s been harming them for weeks. sam using her magic mirror to gaze into the past just so katja can remember her dads phone number. ostentatia, a powerful cleric, having her phone background set to a sexy picture of herself. the seven constantly taking pics of each other while on a quest to save the entire multiverse. i am constantly amazed at how accurately these 30-something people are able to play teenagers
i’m on the outside looking through, you’re throwing rocks around your room. and while you’re bleeding on your back in the glass, i’ll be glad that i made it out, and sorry that it all went down like it did.
i know all this weird timey wimey stuff is happening because of Arthur but…if Aguefort wasn’t there the first day of junior year, then where is Zelda? because without him The Seven wouldn’t have been sent to get their GED right? brennan and zac please im begging just explain how/why their breakup happened and what she’s up to now i miss her so bad
Wait yeah is there gonna be some mention of why in fhjy Zelda has already graduated but she's in the same class as the bad kids and she's apparently a junior in the seven? Is she technically a sophomore and jumped a grade? Does the seven take place concurrently with fhsy or fhjy or??
