Canadian television director Daryl Duke briefly went to the United States to direct The Les Crane Show and a syndicated version of The Steve Allen Show before returning to the CBC to make some "psychedelic television."
He later went on to make some notable movies including Payday (1973), the Silent Partner (1978) and the Thornbirds (1983).

Jay was objectively right this episode. The poor guy deserves to have something that is all his. I don't know what Sam was talking about in that bedroom scene towards the end because I have yet to see Jay not consider the Ghosts in anything.
I understand where Sam is coming from though, because I do interpret her as having a particularly close connection to Isaac given all the time they spent writing the book together. So she probably has a nuanced insight into who he is.
On a more fun note Brandon Scott Jones's performance as Isaac is always at its best when he is at his most pompous and petty. So I thoroughly enjoyed this storyline.
