#OnThisDay in 1886, the Statue of Liberty, a gift of friendship from the people of France to the people of the United States, is dedicated in New York Harbor by President Grover Cleveland.
With my NYC trip almost over, I finally got to visit the Statue of Liberty!
And I learned that when somebody tells you NOT to visit the crown, believe them! I believe it was 164 steps.. 🥵😂 It's way worse to go down the stairs, too.
It also wasn't the best idea to "just take a look" around the gift shop at the Liberty Island.. 😅😅
