#the stickers i buy for activities with students

Not dysphoric culture, sorry, but does mod have any tips on socially transitioning, especially in school? I’m not even out yet, but I like to make plans for what I’m gonna do to make me feel less stuck in the closet, but I’ve only ever really thought about medical transition and don’t really know how to go about socially transitioning. (Afab, nonbinary, want to be perceived as neutral/masculine, if that’s any help)
Don’t apologize anon, mod is here to (try) to give advice!
Mod actually came out at school a couple of years ago (a conservative middle/high school where mod was one of the first publicly out not binary people) so. Here is some stuff.
Support:
Find a good friend group, and ideally also a decent guidance counselor who will not out you before you’re ready
Some fake friends will continue to misgender and deadname you. If this continues for months on end and you keep reminding them, they may not be a real friend
Meet other queer and trans people in your school! Join a GSA/acceptance club if there’s one! Find a trans person in your school that’s older than you and ask them for advice!!
Older trans people in your school can sometimes help you buy gender-affirming products (ex: if they can have it shipped to their house and can use their card, and then you pay them back in cash, for safety reasons etc) or queer merch.
If you want your name and gender marker to be changed in the school’s system you often have to go through the guidance department. Depending on where you live you do not need parental consent for this and do not let the guidance department bully you into it. You shouldn't need a court order either
Google classroom/digitization of education has made life harder for trans students because you will see the wrong name and pronouns listed everywhere. Schools with ID cards have this problem but worse because even if you cover up the name with a sticker, whenever your ID is scanned it will out you. Some places even require students to scan IDs to use the bathroom- a double nightmare for trans students.
Student pictures are cringe. Try to dress as gender-affirming as possible for picture day and remember that you’re likely only being photographed from the shoulders up (chest dysphoria = not your biggest problem)
Not all school systems have a nonbinary marker. Mod’s school pretended not to have one and it took some digging and anxious waiting to get one (mod has since gotten it, is one of the first students in the school’s history to have one, and is spreading resources to other trans and nonbinary students in the school community). For you anon if you can’t get an X/O/N/etc marker you can get a M, which may not be completely accurate but it might make you less dysphoric as compared to a F
Yearbooks might have pre-transition photos of you or even elementary school photos of you so try to speak to someone on the yearbook committee/club about it. Senior year in general can be a nightmare if you’re trans/nb because so many pictures are taken of you and a lot of old photos/letters are dug up
The uncomfortable stuff:
You need to use the bathroom especially if you do after-school activities. This is non-negotiable and far too many trans people (especially transmascs + nonbinary people who were AFAB) get UTIs by avoiding the bathroom all day. Using a public bathroom may be dysphoria inducing but having to see a urologist/gynecologist is much worse. But it’s true that school bathrooms suck! Find one that is the least suck-y (clean, not used very often, ideally gender-neutral) and try to use that one. Not all schools have a gender neutral bathroom, and the ones that do may only have one dirty, single-person bathroom for the entire school (like mod’s). For your case specifically anon if you feel you pass well enough/don’t pass but have enough support at school you can try to use the men’s room. The thing about using the men’s restroom is you have to walk in with confidence (fake confidence is okay too!) and act unbothered.
Mod has never heard of a gender-neutral school locker room, at least below the college level, ever. The good thing is that a lot of students no longer have to change for gym, or that some schools will give nonbinary students the option of changing in the gender neutral bathroom instead. (At mod’s school, their ‘nonbinary inclusive’ policy [which likely did not exist until mod asked about it] is that nonbinary students can choose which gendered locker room they’d like to use! How very inclusive and totally not avoiding the problem! [sarcasm]) You can ask a gym teacher to keep your bag in their office or leave your bag in the gym to avoid the locker rooms.
Your peers:
They might be transphobic, they might be supportive, or they might just not care. Either way they will probably misgender you purely because they knew you pre-transition. Mod has people in school that mod went to elementary school with and many of them are literally the worst. It's a horrible feeling to know that some people will always see you as [deadname and what your AGAB was] even if you 'pass' or correct people. But unless you transfer to another school there is nothing you can do about that.
Just find people who support you, ideally fellow trans people, and ignore those guys.
Transitioning:
You've probably seen a bunch of tips for gender presentation and might have done some already. For masculine/masc-leaning neutral some are: men's clothing, shorter hair, makeup to contour, binding/packing, layered clothing, etc. Some behavioral changes are voice training (do not rely only on T to change your voice if that's your plan!), taking on more masculine speech patterns, walking more confidently, exercising (target certain areas to create a more masculine shape), etc.
The actual coming out part:
Coming out is scary. Friends can encourage you, but you also have to come out to them first.
Most teachers mod has talked to about being queer have been at least polite/tolerant about it. There hasn’t been any outright hostility, but there has been more subtle transphobia. And mod uses neopronouns in a conservative place! The only major issue was when mod sent a teacher an email about mod’s pronouns + nb inclusive curriculum and he sent the email to the principal without asking (wild stuff. He agreed to use they/them for mod, but also denied taking responsibility for his curriculum excluding queer people).
If you want to come out at school but not at home, you can email/talk to your teachers in person and tell them to call you ___ in school and your deadname/wrong pronouns in front of your parents. Some counselors will email your teachers for you if you’re scared of your parents reading your emails/searching your device
You can write your chosen name almost wherever you want! You do not need it changed it the system to use it and especially if you’re writing on paper you can use it.
You are your biggest advocate! You need to get really good at standing up for yourself. Catering to or being nice to transphobes will usually not help you. You will probably need to push people: 'my pronouns are ____' not 'I prefer ____', 'what is the policy on nonbinary students, and if one doesn't exist how are we going to make one' not 'is there a nonbinary policy', 'I will wear the _____ uniform' not 'is it ok for trans people to wear the _____ uniform', 'call me ____' not 'um I have a preferred name and it's ____ is that okay', 'how will you make room for me' not 'can you make room for me' etc. It is not rude to be assertive! Transphobes will call you rude for simply existing in a way they don't like. Make sure to be clear about what you need and don't give them room to evade your requests. Nonbinary students who will come to your school several years from now will thank you.
It’s good that you’re planning ahead for coming out anon because that can make it less overwhelming, but overthinking can also really get you. If planning your coming out (which may or may not happen soon) starts to only stress you out and not give you any joy then you maybe need to take a break.
There's a lot more stuff but this is just a general overview so if you have more specific questions please send in another ask! Good luck anon!

Malleus - Mundane Affairs
Tumblr media
As the heir to Briar Valley, Malleus admittedly expected a certain level of respect. Sometimes it came in the form of silent (and in Sebek’s case, loud) admiration. In many cases, the respect was tinged with fearful awe. No matter what end of the spectrum they lie, many, if not all, would agree it was below his station to participate in most mundane activities.
Still, he found himself more amused than offended following the Ramshackle prefect through the Mystery Shop. Her angry little huffs sounded like a small kitten’s sneezes. “I swear, Sam rearranges his shop every week just to mess with me.”
Malleus’s already small grin widened. They turned up one aisle, startling an Ignihyde student they encountered. Yuu ignored him, focused entirely on her goal, but Malleus offered a polite nod. The boy sputtered when he returned the nod and quickly fled. Malleus absently noted his fear before dismissing him entirely. “I am sure Sam takes immense pleasure singling you out amongst the student body.”
“Oh, hush.” Malleus chuckled in response to the prefect’s unapologetic disgruntlement. He followed her to the other side of the store. “There’s only one thing I come here to get every week, and without fail, it’s not in the same place twice.”
Malleus’s eyes flitted across the wall of candy they passed. His eyes lingered on the green dragon candy for a second longer than the others. “Do stores not usually change the location of their inventory?”
“In my experience, no,” Yuu huffed. She paused and glared at a small bin of items in the back of the store. Malleus leaned over to examine the items. They were an odd group with seemingly no relation except the bright yellow stickers declaring them as Clearance! “It all stays in relatively the same location except seasonal stuff.”
Malleus hummed. “Is that why the display at the front of the store reflects current holidays?”
“Yep.” Yuu turned and walked the length of the store’s back wall. Her kitten sneezes started again. “That’s the stuff Sam wants to sell quick.”
“Interesting,” Malleus muttered. They encountered another student, this one wearing Savanaclaw’s yellow-orange vest. The beastman’s round ears perked, and Malleus grinned in obvious amusement when the boy released an involuntary hiss. “I have seen an inordinate number of students wearing the headband with large round ears lately. Is that in response to a human holiday?”
“I actually have no idea what that’s about,” the prefect answered. She sidled past the agitated boy and continued on her quest. The boy tried to buck up at Malleus, but he wasn’t able to maintain eye contact long enough for Malleus to feel intimidated. The boy shuffled off with his slender tail tucked around his ankles. “I think it’s something to do with an anniversary? Ace just made fun of me when I asked.”
“I will apply further research on the topic later,” Malleus assured. He was curious now that he understood the significance of the odd attire. It certainly wasn’t an anniversary celebrated in Briar Valley. “For now, I will point you in the direction of your desired item.”
Yuu stopped mid-step, twisting on her heel to face him. “Have you known where it was the entire time?” Malleus’s chuckle made her cheeks balloon. “Hornton!”
“I have been told it builds character to dedicate a certain amount of work towards a desired goal,” Malleus teased. In truth, he had wanted to spend a bit more time with the prefect after she had caught him strolling across the campus alone and invited him on her shopping trip. It was rude not to make the most of an invitation. “Admittedly, I also assumed you would eventually strike upon the right path and find your desired outcome.”
“Stop being so elusive and show me where the stupid tuna is.”
Malleus chuckled and led Yuu back to the front of the store where a display of tuna cans sat beside a small mound of anthropomorphic mouse dolls. He patiently waited for her to debate herself on buying the special edition cans, as they were not the usual brand she bought Grim. Once she had a small stack in her arms, he carefully placed one of the mouse ear headbands on her head, smirking at her disgruntled glare when he refused to take it off her head. He slipped Sam a few extra coins for the headband when they checked out.
Heir or not, participating in mundane, everyday affairs had its perks. Especially when he was rewarded with a small bag of green dragon candy the next time he ran into the prefect. He saw no issue with accepting a similar invitation from her a few weeks later.

BTS Reacts: Teacher S/O Sings to BTS While Making Gifts for Their Students
Seokjin:
Jin definitely accompanied you to the store to buy all of the supplies you needed, acting as a candy expert to help you choose. When the two of you returned home, he started clearing the dining room table and prepared the items you purchased. Sparkling ribbons, chrome gift bags, and every sweet you could think of was sprawled across the table's surface. Before you sat down to join your boyfriend, you decided to put on some music. Right away, you turned the volume on your phone all the way up. Suddenly, Airplane pt. 2 started blasting through the house. Jin locked eyes with you as you began to passionately sing along to the tune. You noticed that he was staring and started to stumble over the lyrics. He started laughing and told you to keep going, don't let him stop you.
Tumblr media
Yoongi:
You and all seven of the boys were piled into you and Yoongi's shared apartment. That night, everyone was having a casual get together, doing nothing in particular. Jin and Hoseok were spending some time in the kitchen, trying out a new cake recipe. Namjoon and Jimin were seated at the dining table talking about god knows what. Taehyung and Jungkook were being your craft buddies on the living room floor.
Your students deserved a special gift in the form of gift bags filled with sweet candies. You planned on just doing all one hundred of them yourself, originally, but the two boys were way too curious to pass up the opportunity of helping. Yoongi was standing at the edge of your kitchen, leaning on the archway, drink in hand, watching over your activities from afar. Out of nowhere, you started to giggle and began singing Butter. Taehyung and Jungkook joined in immediately, giving the best acapella performance of their life. Yoongi pretended to be annoyed and protest the sound. He would go as far as pinching the bridge of his nose and dipping his head down as if he had a headache. You laughed loudly at his opposition, turning to the two boys, who also started laughing. As soon as you turned away, Yoongi lifted his head and observed your reaction. He would be lying if he said he was annoyed even slightly. He couldn't help the wide smile that formed on his face as he continued to listen to the sound of your laughter and singing.
Tumblr media
Hoseok:
Hoseok was laying in bed, relaxing, and scrolling on his phone when his ears perked up at the suspected sound of I NEED U beginning to play in the living room. At first, he simply smiled at the image of you listening to his own music to wind down. Then, he heard you. He heard your unskilled vocals as clear as day. Hoseok got out of bed and followed the sound to the living room. He was met with the sight of you sitting on the couch surrounded by bags upon bags of strawberry chocolates, stickers, ribbons, and bright yellow mesh gift bags. You made eye contact and suddenly your voice was no longer alone. Your boyfriend was basically your own personal cheerleader as he harmonized the words with you.
Tumblr media
Namjoon:
Absolute hype man. Seeing you putting on a one person show performing Pied Piper while sitting at your dining room table making cute little gifts for your students would have him in a chokehold. How are you so sweet and beautiful and perfect and talented and-
Anyway.
Namjoon would feel like the luckiest guy in the world as he pretended to be your back up singer. It was already sweet as sugar that you were taking the time to create gift bags of chocolate for nearly one hundred of your students. But topping it off with singing his music?? Man got cavities.
Tumblr media
Jimin:
Jimin is another who would want to join in and help you put together your students' gifts. The two of you were chatting and putting candies into bags for quite a while when a sudden idea popped into your head. You jumped up with such urgency that you spooked Jimin, whose eyes were wide and mouth slightly hung open in shock. Without explaining, you ran into the other room and returned with a small bluetooth speaker. Your boyfriend watched you in confusion as you sat back down and connected your phone to the device. A few seconds later, their song Fire started blasting through the speaker. Jimin let out a chuckle as you cleared your throat and began singing along. You even broke out some dance choreo the best you could from the ground. He kept laughing at your antics and shook his head as he tied ribbons around the small purple gift bags. He found himself stealing multiple secret glances as you dramatically acted out the music video while sitting, the smile never leaving his face.
Tumblr media
Taehyung:
Right away when you explained to Taehyung that you were making presents for your students, he wanted to help. He thought it was the most adorable thing he had seen in his life. He started helping pick out candies and different colored bags and rationing them out when a smirk grew on your face. You reached for your phone and opened up your Spotify app, pressing play on Save Me. Taehyung's eyebrow raised up, a grin growing on his face. He was staring back at you, who was dramatically locking eyes with him as the song was about to begin. As the words began spewing out of your mouth, he watched you in awe with a big smile plastering his face.
Tumblr media
Jungkook:
Jungkook would be LIVING for this moment. Just you and him sitting on the floor, surrounded by small foil gift bags in every color of the rainbow, and swimming in various piles of discarded bulk candy bags. You started off doing it on your own at first. But the minute Jungkook walked into your shared bedroom and saw the methodical chaos with you in the middle of it, your voice resonating off of the walls as you belted out Euphoria, he wanted in. Before he even would realize what you were doing, he joined in, providing some godlike vocals to compliment your own voice.

Gokinjo Monogatari got an English release. I am just - feeling like I got my wish from 1998.
That's right, I'm alive but not very active on the meta for the time being. 2023 sped up for the second half; work got crazy busy for Q4. I worked up to Dec 18th through several weekends so yeah, needed some recharge time.
I don't know how I missed this, but thanks to watching Coleen's Manga Recs, I discovered that the one shoujo manga title that I had been wanting an English release for has finally arrived. Gokinjo Monogatari by Ai Yazawa!
Tumblr media
I discovered Gokinjo Monogatari in '98. One of the local comic stores had the first three tankobons and I bought them based on the cover artwork alone.
It wasn't until undergrad I was able to meet a few more people and figure out more than just the name and artist. I tried to find the translation of the manga online, but was unsuccessful. I have to remind people that before scanlations, you had to buy a tankobon and hope you found the text based translation which would have the text according to page number and what panel location. I read a fair bit of Kenshin that way, but sadly, this series was not that popular with readers in the States. I've been moving my entire adult life hauling my three precious volumes of the manga hoping that someday I would first, collect volume 4-7 to complete the picture and that I'd have my matching English version. Granted, I haven't done a good job of looking for volumes 4-7 when I've been in Japan . . . or using the internet either.
Tumblr media
As if to spite me, the follow up manga, Paradise Kiss, did get a translation in 2002 from Tokyo Pop which exists in the same universe as Gokinjo Monogatari. Note that a previous manga's characters show up at the Flea Market in Monogatari as well and Yazawa likes to keep a lot of her series tied together. Eventually, the scanlation of the series appeared and I read it around 2011. I'd only found an episode or two of the anime during the golden age of file sharing, but didn't follow through on it. I wanted to read the manga before watching the anime. In 2017, I visited the Manga Museum in Kyoto, got to see a cool display about Ribon magazine and of course they had Gokinjo Monogatari merch! I bought the file folder set and stickers! I bought the Gokinjo Monogatari UT shirt from Uniqlo featuring Ribon series. Yet each time I found more stuff, the universe got the last laugh. Japan released the collectors set with four volumes, there was a French translation, German etc and never one for English. So, you have to realize how I absolutely lost my mind when the thing I'd figured would never happen, happened! Not only was it a thing, I'd even missed the December 2023 release date -at least I didn't have to wait for a pre-order to get volume 1.
I'm happy to see that this version included some of the original color pages!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It has a few more at the end with a photo wall of Mikako's outfits. Everything about the style of this manga, I absolutely love. The fashion goes so hard even now. I get nostalgic with all of the mid-90s Japanese street fashion which has a mix of 60s mod and 70s flare. I think the series also does a good job of capturing that awkward time in your teenage life when you are trying to figure out how to act with people you are interested in. But failing to sort things out. Unlike a lot of other high school manga series, this one stands out with the much more "normal" appearance of the students. I remember picking it up and thinking that the characters looked like they could be my peers; though there is no way Mikako's outfits would pass my high school's own liberal dress code where dyed hair and piercings were permitted. Her bare midriff would get her in trouble . . . Funny how now when I look at it, this is a very unusual high school set up for a Japanese reader likely coming from a more regimented school environment with a uniform and strict dress code. I never thought about it at the time. More that I was plotting my own hair dying plans for when I moved out of the house for undergrad just like the characters had - while still in high school. I did read Parakiss back when it came out from 2002-2005; however, it never really resonated with me the same way a series that I couldn't even find a decent translation for. I started to watch Nana but couldn't get into it at all. Maybe it was my mindset or the fact that I wasn't the mood for young twenty-somethings figuring their shit out.
Yet, here I am in the winter of 2024, and I have volume 1 of the collectors edition format of Gokinjo Monogatari and I'm still loving every little bit of the story as I read it. Perhaps, Parakiss and Nana were more edgier/grittier than something like this which is why they never quite clicked with me. I wanted my fashionable shoujo drama but not over the top. I'm not sure what I'll write about it. It isn't a well known series both due to the fact it is from the 90s and that it is shoujo but perhaps I can reflect on what I was drawn to it all those years ago and what I think about it now.

hero headcanons because i'm as normal about him as i am about spaceboy🫶🏾
Tumblr media
°tall and flaunts it, he's proud of how much he grew ever since high school (probably 6'4")
°talented in almost every field but fitness, and works to make up for that by jogging every morning
°did concert band in high school, marching band was too busy to fit it in with his schedule, and he also couldn't play an instrument and march at the same time (probably the first to drop out of a parade)
°he could cover any instrument, but his favorites were french horn, trumpet, and clarinet
°thought about going for student council his freshman year of high school, but decided against it once mari died. he figured he wouldn't be in the right headspace (teehee) to represent his class once he was a senior
°relatively involved when it came to college activities, despite how taxing his classes are
°went to a couple college parties his freshman year, got wasted once or twice n never wanted to do it again (he's a lightweight)
°can't do horror- movies, games, BOOKS, even. you could try to drag him to a 1-star haunted house n he'd still cry abt it
°hates spiders but likes spiderman
°although a lot of the passion was lost after mari's death, he's still phenomenal at baking and cooking. he enjoys seeing the smiles he brings to people's faces.
°constant heartthrob, in high school he was, in college he is- since his academic achievements aren't unknown to the public; he's pretty popular
°would get you home on time, like right on the dot, to your house or to your dorm, whichever it is
°always asks if you need someone to walk home with or if you need a ride, he doesn't mind at all and refuses any gas money you try to give him
°fashion icon when he wants to be. he's definitely modeled before and is open to trying new styles, but leans more towards to preppy attire
°not too fond of video games, but he's a BEAST at smash bros and mario kart. he probably mains peach to match with mari when they'd play- she mained daisy, but thought sephiroth was cool too. mari was a natural.
°study dates. basic but they prove to be nice, even if your brain feels like it's gonna explode
°walks around campus usually work out too, he avoids taking you to one of the cafés..
°oh yeah he also works as a barista for when school is in but he also used to work at hobbeez
°thrill rides aren't his fav at amusement parks, but he's willing go on them. otherwise, he holds everyone's bags
°closed off when it came to romantic relationships in fear of "getting over" or replacing his love for mari. although she would want him to move forward head-on. for his sake.
°bakes you a birthday cake!! cooking and baking is a love language of his, but he doesn't mind buying you a gift or two
°usually buys you things that are catered to your interests, but not like the cringy $5 shirts on amazon (maybe a sticker bundle but that's AT MOST, he's trying🙏🏾)

SwampCon
I have to admit, I was a little embarrassed walking through all the Honor Society students and the middle school science fair kids in cosplay at 9 in the morning but I persevered.
I did go to high school in cosplay once for spirit day however I was insufferable in high school so I try not to think about it. I've never been to an actual convention before though so this was a first.
I am pretty heavily involved in fandom culture but god I was shocked by the amount of anime I did not know. I also felt incredibly old because where were the Hetalia cosplays?! I didn't see a single one and it just feels like as a community we have forgotten our dark past. Though I did see a homestuck cosplay so I have some hope left.
I attended for the entirety of the day on Saturday, most of my time was spent volunteering but I did manage to spend $80 somehow like I really don't know what came over me.
Volunteering was very nice and laid back and it is something I will likely be doing next year as well. I was a bit upset that I didn't get to check out the maid cade because I was so busy but I know that it will be back next year so it's cool.
I really enjoyed watching the kpop dancing panel, I don't know anything about it but the dancers looked really good and everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun.
To be honest, I don't think I have complimented this many people in my life, there were so many cool cosplays and a lot of them were from some of my favorite shows (lots of sk8 the infinity which I loved, a few soul eater and danganronpa ones as well).
The artist alley is where I lost all of my money. There were so many talented artists with amazing pieces and I'm a huge sucker for supporting small artists. Here is my haul (plus a pair of horns that are not pictured).
Tumblr media
For the record I have never even seen My Hero Acadamia I just really love Present Mic and this print was just so cool I couldn't not purchase it. The posters are so amazing and I had to stop myself from buying more things. These were all an investment into my happiness and honestly, cash isn't even real money.
Javi's bad fanfiction reading panel was so funny, I feel a little guilty for contributing in the emotional turmoil of a couple dozen people with my very enthusiastic vote for the most horrendous fanfiction known to man, but also I think those people left just a little more cultured. Fanfiction is a vital part of fan culture and we cannot deny how much of it is just straight-up horrible and frankly disturbing so much of it is (I read over 15 million words of fanfiction last year so I am qualified to speak on this). I did have to leave a little early because at that point I had been at the con for over 12 hours and was starting to fall asleep in my chair.
I met a lot of cool people throughout the day, and it was really nice just knowing that you already have a shared interest. Within the first few hours of being there, someone asked me if I was a "button, keychain, or sticker autistic" and when I told them I was a sticker autistic they handed me a swampcon sticker. It was a really nice moment for me I don't know why.
The other volunteers were also all so kind I didn't really come to the con with anyone but I was always talking to someone throughout the day because everyone was so friendly and open. I even got to talk about Hetalia ships with someone which just made my day. I ran into a lot of you guys there as well which was so fun. If you saw me after like 1 then my wig was off because that thing was way too itchy to wear for a full day, I only made it like 4 hours.
Next year I will not be spending all of my money and I'm gonna drag some of my friends along to make sure I get to do all of the activities like maid cafe and the Miku concert (I did not attend but I helped pass out glowsticks so you may have seen me hehe). This was actually so much fun and I would have attended on Sunday as well if I didn't have so much homework to do.

This was me at the beginning of the day with my volunteer badge :P

Mia's Blog: Compilation of My Works in Creative Nonfiction
By: Mia Thea Parnala
All About My Writings
Autobiography
A Life Experience to Cherish ♡
Tumblr media
In every life experience, there is a lesson and memories to treasure.
“Can we please go to Jollibee and eat chicken joy?,” that is one of the lines I used to say to my parents. Every child is a fan of this fast food and excited to see the well-known mascot namely Hetty, Yum, Popo, Twirlie, and especially Jollibee. Going back, one peaceful and breezy night, at exactly 9:07pm, I was born in Philippine General Hospital in Manila and officially named me Mia Thea Kreenee Sarinas Parnala as the eldest daughter. Currently, we are residing in a single-story house in Alapan 1-C Imus, Cavite together with my four sisters, grandmother, father, and my stepmother as my biological parents decided to get separated. In one of our conversations, my grandmother, Priscilla, shared a story and some trivia about my childhood. During my kindergarten, I used to be described as someone friendly, jolly, and participative in every program and activities in our day care school. This is where I learn how to explore fun things. When the teachers also dismiss the class, we will go to the “10 pesos all items” store to buy some coloring books and stickers. After that, I will play some games with my grandmother, Edgar. Moreover, in my elementary days, I used to have a circle or group of friends. This is the stage where my learning shifts from children's books to advanced books and basic maths to mathematical or scientific equations that helps enhance my skills. Also, I know how to cook, do laundry, and perform tasks independently. I learn how to hang out with friends, eat street foods such as siomai, kwek-kwek, and fishball, and play traditional Filipino games particularly piko, Chinese garter, tumbang preso, tagu-taguan, and many more since the use of technology or internet is not prevalent in that time. It was indeed a meaningful part of my childhood without a doubt.
To further elaborate, throughout my junior high school year at Sangley Point National High School in Cavite City, I learn how to set realistic goals and improve my study habits as there are a lot of school workloads that I have to accomplish adding the household chores and other responsibilities that I need to fulfil as the “panganay” or eldest in our family. I also discover my hobbies or the things I enjoy the most during my leisure time such as reading books, travelling, writing journals, watching movies, and doing some arts that help me feel at ease. Fortunately, due to my determination and hardwork, I became a consistent achiever or honor student as I am aiming for scholarships for higher education. As a youth, I learned to participate in the advocacy of our school and community such as mental health awareness, anti-bullying, and human rights campaigns. On the other hand, I become introverted and unsociable. But since I developed resilience, I can adapt to the changes in my environment.
However, a sudden predicament called “COVID-19” came that negatively impacted almost all aspects including our education. It affects the employment and income of our family. All of us are forced to stay at home and school closes down. But for learning continuity, the institution of the government or DepEd implemented distance learning such as modular and online classes as an alternative for traditional education. During my 9th grade, I chose the modular as learning modality since we don't have stable internet connection and a gadget to use for online class. Admittedly, I am struggling since I have to help my sisters do their modules and study on my own. Furthermore, in my 10th grade, I managed to attend online classes and I effectively comprehend the lesson with the help of our teachers. The transition to “new normal” was not easy, but my family and I still managed to survive and overcome the difficulties.
“Lola, do you think we can overcome this pandemic? It's been 2 years now,” I said, being pessimistic in the midst of a pandemic where we are struggling to survive financially.
“Of course, my dear! There are no challenges that we can't overcome. Just don't lose hope,” she replied, smiling and patting my back to encourage me.
At present, now that I am 18 years old, I am currently studying in Gen. Pantaleon Garcia Senior High School. This level of education helps me to be better equipped and acquire skills for higher education or college. I am under the strand of Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) as an aspiring teacher. Additionally, I discovered that I have passion in teaching and I want to share my knowledge to my future students to make a positive change. I met a lot of teachers that became my inspiration and role model. Since we are now graduating, I am looking forward to my college life despite being aware that it will be more challenging, but it will be worth our time, effort, and patience. Due to that reason, I always believe that there is always room for improvement, so I will strive harder to excel. Hence, I will just simply enjoy this journey and will continue to hope for a better future ahead of me. Hopefully, I will graduate with flying colors and offer great opportunities. As Helen Keller said, “life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood”. Which means that in every life experience, there is always a significant lesson we can learn from and memories to treasure.

A Kind Heart Always Offers Special Love ♡
Tumblr media
“There is no change without sacrifice” -Gloria Alfred
Everyone has their own life story that needs to be shared as it offers life changing lessons, experiences, memories, and journey. To begin with, there was a girl named Priscilla De Jesus, born in Imus, Cavite on October 19, 1965 as the eldest among her three siblings. One of the things she enjoyed during her leisure time was singing, listening to music, and sewing clothes as their family ran a small business in their house, so they have a lot of materials, equipment, and machines for sewing or repairing clothes. On the other hand, her mother, Antonina De Jesus was a dressmaker or tailor and her father used to work in Saudi Arabia as a mechanic to earn money and as a source of income. When she was little, she used to dream of being an accountant. In her elementary days, she really did not like the idea of socializing with others. But she joined a competition such as maths quiz bee, and that was the time her nickname “human calculator” was made. Other extracurricular activities she participated in, are games such as sack race and volleyball during their Sports Fest event in their school. As usual children do, she used to play traditional Pinoy games like luksong baka, piko, and patintero enjoying her childhood, but she always came home on time and never disobeyed her parents.
In her High School life, there was really not much to share. She loves listening to carpenters songs like “Yesterday Once More”. As what an average and typical student would do, she studied hard and participated in volleyball sports. Since her grades are good in mathematics, their school counselor advised her to take up and pursue civil engineering, so she decided to shift course. In her college years, she attended Manuel L. Quezon University. She also used to work as the secretary in creating catalogs or brochures for dresses. Moreover, she met her husband named Edgar Parnala during college and their so-called love story began as friends. Her kindness also makes her unique and a good example for others.
Moving forward, she got pregnant with two boys at the age of 20 years old, but unfortunately, it should have been three but she had miscarriage. She also worked as a teacher for two years in St. Emily Academy, teaching mathematics to nursery and grade 1 and 4 students. When she resigned due to certain reasons, she worked in the factory as a sewer. In addition, when the opportunity knocks on her door, she was 22 years old when she went to Paris as an OFW, specifically a domestic helper. She left her children with the care of her husband and family. She would do household chores such as laundry, cooking, and cleaning and she picked up children at school and fed her boss's cat. Also, she would send a balik bayan box carrying chocolate as per request of her children and other necessities. But unfortunately, she was forced to go home, as her younger child has dengue. When she went back to the Philippines, she struggled financially and had no savings to build a house and buy a car. It was like a bitter sweet experience. But she was not called the “light of the home” for no reason.
Currently, she is now 59 years old and has eight grandchildren and the eldest is now attending Senior High School. Priscilla has a part-time job every weekend because that is the only time her plate is not that loaded. One of her daily routines is to take care of her grandchildren who are now in kindergarten as both of their parents go to work. She is now self-employed and often stays at home, leaving her no choice. She should be working, but her second son's responsibilities to their children are passed to her. Hence, there were a lot of opportunities missed due to that reason. But despite all the challenges she's been through, she remains strong for the sake of her family. She is like the bright sunshine and a good role model to her grandchildren. That is why it is said, “grandmother's love is forever and always”. She is one of the living examples of that quote, as she would sacrifice and do everything she can for her children as well as for her grandchildren. No one will beat that kind of special love.

A Wisdom Gained from Various Collections of Life Experiences ♡
Tumblr media
“Live your story you want to tell” -Simply Topaz
In every life experience, there is a lesson, knowledge, and wisdom that is acquired as it will teach us to embrace our fears and never be afraid of failure. That explains why life is a “trial and error” process and full of challenges. To begin with, there was a girl named Mia Thea Kreenee Parnala, the eldest and first born in the family. I lived in the province of Cavite, particularly in Imus. In fact, our house was surrounded with a lot of tall dark-green trees and grasses. Admittedly, I feel so lonely as I have no friends to play with, so I have reached the point where I feel so sick playing doll house, teddy bears, lego, clay, puzzles, and other toys that will help ease my boredom. But one day, surprisingly, I met a mysterious friend, not bothering to know her name and we used to play hide-and-seek and other all sorts of kid’s games. During that time, I was confused because my parents would not allow me to play outside. As a response, I threw a tantrum and argued that they should let me play because I have no sister I can play and bond with. Certainly, I enjoy the accompaniment of this unknown friend.
“Do you want to play with me?,” she asked, smiling while pointing to our favorite play place. “I would love to! You don't need to ask,” I replied with eagerness as we played together.
A day came that my parents told me the truth with concern in their faces. All this time, I have an imaginary friend which makes my jaw drop. It is all created in my imagination due to my loneliness. Aside from that, my parents are busy with work and I don't yet attend school, having no opportunity to socialize with others. But as time passed, I learned how to deal with this imaginary friend as I went to school and when my younger sister was born.
Moving on, in my elementary days, I did not study hard and I am fine as long as I have no line of 7 or failed marks. I only care about playing and hanging out with friends, such as going to the computer shop. I also used to be outgoing and extroverted, not until my teacher called my name in front and scolded me for being loud. I cried buckets of tears and locked myself up in the room. On the other hand, during my High School year, that is the time I learned how to prioritize my study to improve my academic performance. I excelled in class and became a consistent honor student. Honestly, the downside of being an achiever is the feeling of academic validation and trying to meet the expectations of others, so the pressure it brings is exhausting. However, I try to develop healthy coping skills such as taking regular breaks, exercising, giving myself a reward or tokens, and developing good study habits.
In addition, one of my experiences in the two years of lock down during the pandemic or “new normal”, in my ninth grade, I am under a modular distance learning approach due to limited access to the internet and technology device I can use for online class. I also learned how to comprehend and study the lesson alone as it is “self-learning”. I relied on the educational videos provided on the internet, so I can understand and answer the modules better. Moreover, I helped my sisters answer their own modules and school tasks. In my 10th grade, I am taking online classes, a form of flexible learning which helped me a lot as I can communicate with my teachers and classmates. It was truly a difficult experience as I struggled with my academic and house responsibilities, but it taught me how to be resilient and bravely face every situation.
Moving forward to the present time, I am now in Senior High School, deciding to pursue education. I also submitted my application in Cavite State University and I will also take the entrance exam in Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in Sta. Mesa, Manila when I received the E-permit. I joined an extracurricular activity in our school which is journalism and we compete for clusters and Division School Press Conference. It helps me improve my writing skills and I engage more in reading news articles to be aware about social issues. Currently, we are in the second semester, and we will be having a work immersion as part of the curriculum to gain some actual experience and to expose ourselves in the workplace. Furthermore, I am aiming for scholarships in higher education, and I am looking forward to graduating with flying colors. In the future, I am hoping to be a teacher with great passion in teaching and a good role model to others.

How Life Unfolds a Great Experience: A Lesson to Gain and Journey to Enjoy ♡

“Honest self-reflection opens your mind to reprogramming, change, success, and freedom”-Trudy Vesotsky
First and foremost, as someone who grew up in an average family who earned just enough money to put food on the table, I learned how to be aware of reality and be independent at an early age. The idea of being the eldest or “ate” means having the responsibility to take care of your siblings and graduate in order to escape poverty. I started learning how to do laundry, cooking, and other household chores. It is due to certain circumstances in life that necessitate me to also be parent-figure to my siblings. I become their support system and epitome of diligence as we face the challenges together. Moreover, one of our major struggles is financial, making it difficult for us to meet our basic needs and other expenses. But regardless of that, both of my parents, as a breadwinner, worked hard to provide. That became my inspiration to change and seek for growth.
Moving forward, I remember when I was in elementary school, we reached the point where we needed to borrow food such as one kilogram of rice and canned goods in one of the sari-sari stores in our neighborhood. Also, my siblings would ask for toys and chocolates to my parents, but still unable to grant their wishes. However, I am not in the position to complain and I understand the hardship we have been through. As a response, I tried my best to fullfil my role as I am assigned to look after my sisters and manage the house, so I would not add to their burden. In that time, I figured out that life would not throw or present problems we cannot overcome.
In addition to that, my grandmother never failed to make us feel loved. She took care of us when parents were working, so I grew with her care. I also recalled the time when she always let us first eat delicious food, and she would eat the leftover meals. When doing household tasks, particularly the laundry, I can see how she was suffering from all sorts of pain such as back and muscle pain, therefore, I would initiate massaging her body. In fact, she shouldered the duties of my parents, making me feel bad. I love how she bought us toys from the market and treated us to Jollibee when she had extra income. I wanted to return her sacrifices and hard work by finishing my studies and helping my parents as gratitude. It is also the least I can do for her.
As I always mentioned in my writings, ever since elementary, I have not excelled and performed outstandingly in class. I am satisfied as long as I have no line of seven in my report card. I participated in extracurricular activities such as girl scouts that helped shape my leadership skills and potential in different aspects. But as soon as I moved up to junior high school, I gave importance to my studies and became a consistent academic achiever as a product of my determination and dedication. Throughout my experience in junior high school, I learned a lot of things.
Unexpectedly, when we faced the health crisis called “COVID-19” pandemic, it changed our lives in terms of education, socialization, economic, employment, and many more. I learned how to be flexible and resilient as I acquired the ability to adapt to the changes in my environment. Even though I struggle with my academic and house responsibilities, I still manage to survive and find solutions. I helped my sisters do their modules and after that, I will study my school tasks that took a lot of time since I am not that fast learner. It was a difficult experience but it taught me how to bite the bullet or stand firm despite the challenges.
Finally, in the present time, now that I am in my senior high school years, graduating, I am giving extra priority and focus on my studies. I am aiming for scholarships, to lessen the expenses for higher education. This K-12 curriculum and other extracurricular activities I joined such as journalism helps improve my knowledge, vocabulary, skills, and comprehension. I engage more in learning as I want to be a licensed teacher in the near future. I am looking forward to our upcoming work immersion that will expose me to the working environment.
In my 18th year of life, many things happened, but it is all part of our journey and process of living. All we have to do is to enjoy it and take it as a lesson. Certainly, time flies so we should cherish every moment and appreciate what we have. One thing is for sure, we may have different experiences, situations, perspectives, and challenges, but the bottom line is it will be a significant lesson to reflect on that will change our life. I also know for sure that I am capable of more than I can imagine and there is so much to look forward to in life.

How Journey Creates An Everlasting Memories: A One that is Worth Sharing ♡
Tumblr media
“Travel is an investment in yourself”
Our country, the Philippines, is known for its historical places, islands, and wonders of nature. There are many destinations that are worth visiting as it represents the rich culture, heritage, and tradition of our homeland. Therefore, I will share a fun story about the places that we visited during our family vacation and educational field trip. Just recently (March 9, 2024), on one of our family trips, we went to Patungan Beach Cove also called “Fisherman's Paradise” in Maragondon, Cavite. It is accessible by boat and there are a lot of recreational activities to engage in such as fish feeding, cliff diving, island hopping, and many more. We also tried bonfire and rented videoke. We shared stories and talked about life. Moreover, you can buy souvenirs such as keychains, bracelets, and personalized wallets and try local food products like delicacies and ice cream or “sorbetes”. During that time, I was so excited I could die.
My family also tried enjoyable stuff including catching crabs, collecting seashells, building sand castles, sunbathing, and watching the sunset together. In addition, I really enjoyed the view due to the perfect rock formations, and not to mention the friendly accommodations of the staff. Some of you might have heard of this place for the first time, but it is a highly recommended place to unwind. However, the place has poor signal, limited electricity, and some areas are polluted, so they need to improve that aspect. But overall, it was a great experience and memories to look back on. I can describe the feeling of “I am on cloud nine”.
Furthermore, the last to be shared is during our educational field trip. Last year (March 18,2023), we went on various itineraries such as Aguinaldo Shrine, El Deposito, Museo ng Katipunan, and Star City. In Aguinaldo Shrine, one of the historical landmarks located in Kawit, Cavite, there are many artifacts displayed in the gallery. It includes the badges of Katipuneros, dress and shoes worn by Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, guns and bullets, and many more. It was wide and there were a lot of secret doors. There are many interesting things to explore inside and outside of the house. Moving to the next destination, in El Deposito in San Juan, Manila, an underground water reservoir built by the Spanish became one of the historical sites. It provides a natural source or adequate supply of water for the residents. There are also museums picturing the artifacts recovered back then. During the tour, I discovered a lot of new information from Philippine history.
Additionally, during our field trip, we also visited Museo ng Katipunan in San Juan, Manila. It featured Bonifacio's secret society, called “the Katipunan” through significant artifacts such as archival documents, cryptic messages, amulets, medals, and weapons used by Katipuneros during the Philippine Revolution. Inside the museum, there are a lot of dioramas and miniatures of the battle of the Katipuneros. I learned a lot of interesting trivia and knowledge in this historical place. Finally, for our last itinerary, we went to Star City in Pasay. One of the places I am looking forward to and excited to go as it is ride-all-you-can. There are different extreme rides such as vikings, frisbee, rollercoaster, star flyer, and others. My friends and I took a lot of pictures for documentation and tried a horror house that made my voice hoarse. It was a fun and entertaining experience of mine.
In this trip and journey, I discovered the true beauty of the Philippines and its history. I learned how to value our culture, tradition, and heritage and promote it to other people. To conclude, It not only provides relaxation and entertainment, but also offers a lesson to gain about our country. I got an opportunity to strengthen my relationship with my family and friends and to see the wonders of nature. We should visit different places, especially the historical landmarks or sites as it has a great contribution in Philippine history. It will also help improve our well-being by participating in physical activities such as swimming, and to explore different cultures and acquire new perspectives. Every place in our country is worth visiting that we should be proud of as Filipinos. Indeed, it is truly an adventurous, fun experience, and everlasting memories to share.

Embrace Diversity: Exploring the Unique Filipino Culture and Tradition ✯
Tumblr media
“Understanding culture builds bridges”-Suzy Kazzen
Culture is a building block in attaining unity as it is made up of shared values, customs, and beliefs. However, there is a concept called “cultural diversity and relativism” that exists between groups of people. In fact, being hospitable and having a heart of gold is deeply rooted in Filipino culture. In times of catastrophe, they are resilient which explains the term “Bayanihan”, and have strong family ties for being oriented. They also use phrases like “po and opo” and “pagmamano” or putting the back of elders' hand to their forehead as a sign of respect. Now, what makes the Filipino culture unique and different from the other? A published book entitled, “Philippines – The Culture'' written by Greg Nickles in 2002, features the rich traditions and practice of the Filipinos. It includes celebrations, norms, arts, literature, and local products created due to Spanish and American influences.
In the book of Greg Nickles, it speaks truths about Philippine culture. First, it highlights the Christian celebrations such as Christmas (where people exchange gifts or sing carols) and Saint's day. Second, Muslims holidays such as Ramadan and festivals featuring Pahiyas, Dinagyang, Panagbenga, Sinulog, Moriones, and Giant Higantes showcased alongside a distinct culture that includes the singkil dance, carabao tales, and bamboo instruments. Third, celebration of fiestas throughout the year is held across towns and provinces to honor patron saints. Moreover, there are traditional arts such as weaving or using raw materials (e.g. cotton, fibers, and abacca) to produce a textile, and seashell crafts for decorating windows panes, lanters, and other objects using shells. Other arts in the Philippines are sculpture, pottery, murals, and carving. Then, the gong instrument called “kulintang” in Mindanao, and other bamboo instruments such as flute and guitars. There are also various groups in the Philippines including T’boli, Ifugao, Igorot, Mangyan, and Tagbanwa. Last but not the least, the native languages used are Tagalog, Cebuano, Waray, Hiligaynon, and many more.
In addition, in one of the articles of Kibin Website called, “An interview of a Filipino Boy About Their Lives and Culture”, is one of the living proofs about how the Philippines is different from other countries. A 14 year-old boy named Jake, who has lived in the City of San Diego for Twelve years, was asked about their culture.
“Filipinos are very strong in religion. Majority of Filipino households are Catholic and have mini-alters in their houses. Filipinos like singing at parties. Many of the Filipino households have sing-a-long machines,” he said in the interview.
Jake believes that Filipino food and tradition varies from other cultures. He also speaks about food lumpia and rice, which he states are always present in the Filipino food and occasions, particularly birthdays. He also added that Filipinos are very family-oriented. But the purpose of the interview was not to be ethnocentric or superior, but to take it as an opportunity to let other people recognize the rich culture of the Philippines and give importance to its values.
Finally, culture has a major impact in people's lives as it gives a sense of belonging and security. The book of Greg Nickles and interview of the boy named Jake, clearly show how creativity and hospitality is embedded in the Filipino culture. It opens a new door to understand the heritage and history of the places and encourages people to participate in local celebrations. The delicacies, literature, arts, dances, folktales, festivals, and other practices is something to be proud of with pride. Hence, it is important to view cultures with respect and equality, so it will not create gaps between people's lives, but to unite them despite the differences. Culture is like an onion, made up of different layers, and in order to understand it, one needs to peel it layer from layer. One also needs to treat cultural diversity as a living treasure and a rainbow river.

“Your hardest times often lead to the greatest moments of your life. Keep going, tough situations build strong people in the end” -Roy T. Bennet
Some may think that life is unfair, especially for those who are underprivileged and having no ability to provide for needs and wants. It feels like grasping at straws with slightest hope. However, it depends on how one views life and finding a way to escape that reality. A life long enough to put food on the table with little income earned by the breadwinner of the family and going to a nice place and dining in an expensive restaurant once in a blue moon, was how I described my life. But I was able to have a wide perspective as I reflected on life. Now, you will be able to gain an understanding on how I keep on striving hard despite those certain circumstances I faced. It was a single experience that changed my viewpoint and helped me grow independently.
To begin with my so-called “eye-opening life story”, I still vividly remember how my father struggled to search for our food, so that me and my three other sisters could ease hunger as my father was unemployed, and sometimes working sideline jobs. Just for us to fill our stomach, we have reached the point of eating plain porridge without totally no ingredients but rice, water, and salt, and eating rice with condiments like soy sauce, sugar, or salt as a dish. I felt like cutting an onion, as it made my eyes bawl. As an elder, it was hard seeing my family eating meals twice a day, but at the same time, I felt glad as I glimpsed a smile on their faces in spite of our situation. Moreover, we borrow food such as canned goods and kilograms of rice in one of the sari-sari stores in our neighborhood, hence, my family used to be in large debt. But it was thanks to my grandmother, who never neglected us and helped us pay our debt. Her sacrifice was one of the things that inspires me to work hard, for me to be able to pay back her kindness. Grandmother's love was always top-tier and it never failed. One more thing, I never heard my sisters complain about what life we had back then, and even though we are unable to buy them toys.
Truthfully, It has been five years now since my mother and father got separated. All of us decided to stay with our father, so everyone labelled us as “daddy's girl”, which was true. It opened many opportunities because I learned how to do basic household chores such as cooking, cleaning, washing, and doing laundry, and I learned how to figure out things as it taught me a life-long lesson that will remain embedded in my heart. I will be forever grateful to my father who stayed through thick and thin. He stood as both of our mother and father, who never failed to make us feel loved and appreciated.
Now, I am more motivated to exceed my potential in order to attain my goals in life. I have kept in mind that I will keep on standing, even if I fall down, especially that I will enter higher education next school year. In addition, I will work hard to escape poverty and give the good life they deserve. There are a lot of people who are deprived of education, work at an early age, not eating regularly, and having no decent shelter to live in. So, I am still thankful for what we have now.
Certainly, It was not always about pleasant things, but we also needed to see its bad aspects. The weight of the problems can make us feel like giving up, nevertheless, there are a lot of reasons to continue fighting. I also understand what life truly was. Most importantly, all of us should recognize the struggles, efforts, and sacrifices of our parents as earning money was not easy to give us a life worth living. Our family has genuine love, and I never forget to surrender my worries and have faith in God. Being brave is the only choice that we have to overcome or endure what life throws at us.

“Be happy, be bright, be you”
Happiness is a common feeling caused by positive feelings, thoughts, and experiences. When that certain feeling occurs, happy hormones are released. It can also be about something that we love such as food, movies, clothes, and places. However, happiness is more than just money or luxurious things. Our family, friends, or maybe someone we admire can be a source of joy. To start with, I will be completing one of the tasks I am looking forward to which is sharing the one who makes me undeniably happy. Honestly, it is my first time telling a story about someone I admire, feeling shy about it and a topic I always avoid. It took a lot of time to finally have the courage to open up about him. But, he will remain anonymous as I will not mention his name. There are a lot of reasons why I felt that way, in fact, just the thought of him makes me giggle and makes my ear grinning. This is something new, so bear with me.
It is good to begin with describing him in terms of personality, body, and facial features. He is tall with a round face, pointed nose, rosy lips, dark eyebrows, and mole near his jawline and temple. He is also a responsible, diligent, caring, and hard working “kuya” or eldest of their family. His smile and eyes were an ocean of wonder, that I cannot help but get lost. I like our interactions inside and outside the school since 11th grade. Later on, we became close and shared each other's secrets. I also love how we send memes or collections of humorous pictures from social media, and how we react to our shared posts. As we are mutual friends in TikTok, he always sends me cute and funny videos. I nearly died laughing. Moreover, I always enjoy it when he invites me to eat street foods such as siomai, fishball, mais con yelo, ice cream, and grilled sweetcorn calling him my “food buddy”. He also loves taking pictures of the sunset and documenting every moment, so he will have something to look back at.
When I am stressed at school and worried about personal matters, he will cheer me up and affirm me with his nice words. In addition, I like how he pays attention to every detail I say and how he makes an effort and time like making hand-made flowers. Even if he cracks thousands of corny jokes and cheesy pick-up lines, I will let him do that and laugh at it without doubt. Most of the time, we will hangout and watch some movies with tragic endings, hence, I always prepare a box of tissues beside us. I also like how he gives me small and random stuff such as mushroom hair clips as I am not a fan of material things, believing in, “it is the thoughts that counts”. In case I don't say it enough, I am forever grateful and I appreciate his little gestures as I spend time with him. No matter what he does, I always catch myself smiling like a child who receives a candy.
In the end, life is better when we have someone we can rely on and can share what makes our day. I have someone I consider as my “happy pill” and who boosts my happy hormones. He is one of the people who helped me develop perseverance and taught me to not live up to others expectations. Even if we surround ourselves with silence and do not speak for hours, his presence is enough to make me feel at ease. Furthermore, he is the epitome of a happy-go-lucky person and his broad perspective in life is what makes him attractive. I am hoping to unlock more memories with him. Indeed, he shines like a bright star, the one I always admire and his number one fan. We should appreciate the people who contribute a lot to our growth and well-being, especially reciprocating the love, effort, time, and happiness they offer.
Self Obituary
Live Your Life: Overcoming A Fear of Certainty
Tumblr media
“The value of life is not in the quantity of time. But in the quality of moments lived”
As I sat down in my room and grabbed my pen to take some notes about what I will write in my obituary, I put on my thinking cap to organize my thoughts and came up with an idea. I really don't know how to start talking about my last message and farewell before I took my last breath. In point of fact, death is inevitable and certain as we are immortals. Hence, I asked myself, why not begin writing your own obituary now? I'm not dying anytime soon (I hope not), but I will continue updating my self-obituary for the following years. Many people avoid talking about death as it puts shivers down their spine. However, there is nothing to fear and understanding death will help in self-discovery and giving value to your time and people around you. “What lesson do I want to mark in the people's mind?”, “what inspiration can I share?”, and “how do I want to be remembered?” Are the list of questions I repeatedly asked myself.
To begin writing my self-obituary journey, I was born on October 24, 2005. Many people described me as hard working, resilient, independent, and responsible. I also found solace in watching movies and reading books, like a bookworm. Every time I feel like a wilting flower, it is good to have a support system as I have the habit of not asking help and figuring things out alone. Admittedly, I am not as skillful and intelligent as people think. Maybe there are also a lot of things I can do, but there is not a single thing I am good at. But it is not enough to stop me from seeking improvement. I learned how to perform well in school and surpass all the academic validation, pressure, and challenges that I encounter along the way. I started achieving a lot of awards such as medals and certificates when I participated in nonacademic activities and competitions including journalism, essay writing, and advocacy campaign making. I want to say here that it is not too late to overcome your weaknesses and use them to your advantage and excel in certain fields.
Furthermore, a family who earns enough income to provide for basic needs and having less privilege is how I live my life. At an early age, I become aware and learn basic life skills such as doing household chores to perform my “ate duties” or role as an elder. It feels like I am drowning with responsibilities and being chained in the harsh reality of life. Finding a way to escape these circumstances is the least I can do as the success of my future is in my hand. I also dream to become a teacher to share my knowledge to the next generation and help students address their problems, especially impoverishment. I want people to remember me as an individual who advocates for human rights and encourage them to speak for themselves as they are the leader of their own life. With that being said, we may be different from one another, but there is one thing that we share in common, and that is death. A part of our life. When that time comes, I imagine that I will have grown up children and become a passionate teacher and contribute to the professional field.
In the end, I have realized that death is an integral part of human experience. Writing your own obituary may be challenging, but it will be helpful to know how you will live your life. The manner of death can be natural, accident, undetermined, and pending. Thus, we should live our life to the fullest before our time runs out. Keep in mind that no one has the ability to turn back time, undo mistakes, and get the opportunities that we missed. For my final message, strive hard to attain success and spend time with your loved ones. Do the things that bring you joy such as learning new skills, travelling from different places, eating your favorite food, listening to music, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. You can also start making a bucket list to jot down the things you want to experience during your lifetime. It is to avoid having regrets and live a more fulfilling life. I hope that this self-obituary will light a spark for you to give value to your life and view it as an opportunity of beginning.
Thank you for reading! (•ө•)♡

𝓣𝓲𝓹𝓼 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓢𝓽𝓾𝓭𝔂𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓯𝓻𝓸𝓶 𝓗𝓸𝓶𝓮
Studying at home has its perks: it’s a comfortable, low-pressure environment. However, there are a few reasons it can be difficult to study at home; with so many distractions, it’s easy to procrastinate—when you do start, it’s easy to get off track.
At home, procrastination and distraction can prevent you from accomplishing what you need to get done. Watching TV, taking a nap, scrolling through social media, or other activities (maybe even cleaning your room!), are big productivity killers that take you away from your goal of studying for or completing that assignment.
Fortunately, there are a few tricks you can use to help you be more productive. Here are ways to help you stay focused and get more done when studying at home.
Students of all ages should get at least eight hours of sleep every school night. It’s the best way to ensure that the brain is refreshed and ready to process all of the information learned during the day. It may be tempting to stay up late to cram, but it’s more beneficial to get enough rest.
A full night’s sleep is especially important the night before a test—a good night’s sleep makes you more alert and improves memory for test material, leading to better test results.
Whether it’s the kitchen table or the desk in your bedroom, create an area to study that is a designated study zone. Try to reserve your bed for sleeping and avoid studying in it (it can be all too easy to take a nap!). Most importantly, keep your study space clean and organized so you can put more time into studying (and less trying to find a pen that works).
Don’t forget to eat! Your body (and your brain) needs fuel to help stay in top form. Plus, it’s difficult to focus when your stomach is growling. Have healthy snacks while you study, but make sure they’re prepared in advance so you don’t spend too much time away from your work. More time away means more opportunity to be distracted!
Set a time you wake up, eat breakfast, get dressed, and begin studying. If you don’t set a routine for yourself, you may find your breakfast break stretch into... lunch. A routine provides a structure to get things done, keep the little things (like showering) from falling through the cracks, and frees you to plan for times to not study as well.
I know it’s tempting to wear pajamas all day or neglect brushing your hair for 15 days in a row. After all, you’re not planning to leave the house except for picking up emergency Doritos. However, you’ll feel much better about life and your studies when you take care of yourself. Make it a point to get dressed, brush your hair, and look presentable every day. (You might end up feeling a bit more motivated, too.)
No matter how excellent your focus, if you study at home it can be virtually impossible to tune out the noise around you. Dogs, younger siblings, and ringing phones are all very distracting and difficult to avoid. A good noise-canceling headset will be a huge help in this regard! You’ll be able to preserve both your sanity and your love of those around you.
Are you a stationery person? You’ll know if you are: if browsing in Paperchase seems more interesting than browsing in Topshop; if the delight of every August is buying fresh supplies for September; if you own more blank notebooks for use on some future special occasion than you own filled notebooks that weren’t quite special enough to save.
If you have a desk full of lovely pens, pencils, note-paper, notebooks, stickers and goodness knows what else, now is the time to use them, and delight in them. Write in fancy fountain pen if that sounds like something you’d enjoy; it’s a bad idea to use it in your exam, but being forced to slow down a little when taking notes as you’re studying might help the information sink in better. Cover your notes in stickers if it means you’re more likely to reread them. After all, if it’s not to be used when you have important studying to do, why bother hoarding lovely stationery in the first place?
Although it seems convenient, studying at home can be difficult—procrastination and distraction can happen easily. But with a little bit of planning and organization, it can be an effective (and comfortable) place to study. Try some of these tips for studying at home to help you stay focused and more efficient with your study time.

Dick and Wally together are sports culture.
Different tennis shoes littering the hallway, worn out and held together by duct tape. Traded shoelaces, so they both have a piece of each other wherever they go. Different patterned leg warmers as Christmas gifts. Early morning stretching, just the two of them sitting on the floor of their apartment, Dick leading and Wally following, working the soreness out of their muscles. Random equipment for sports they don’t even play in the closet. Cold and refreshing showers. Eating so much food, both relatively healthy stuff and pure junk. A Flash water bottle with a Nightwing keychain. A Nightwing water bottle with a Flash keychain. Using the doorframe as a pull-ups bar. Washing the sheets every other day, not because of all the sex (though the sex is often) but because one of them will come home, all sweaty from a workout, and just collapse on the bed for a couple minutes before taking a shower. Daring each other to show off parkour skills in civvies. Jumping into a pickup basketball game with a bunch of strangers, ending the game with a group of new friends. Buying deodorant whenever the go to the store bc you can never have too much deodorant. Trailing off sentences and just staring because holy shit those are some nice back muscles and biceps. Actually decent sleep schedules.
Jason and Roy together are peak casual academia.
Everyone knows Jason spends his free time reading literary classics. And everyone knows the grease on Roy’s fingers won’t ever wash out. Bookshelves crammed full of old paperbacks, everything from Wuthering Heights to The Optimist’s Daughter to The Importance of Being Earnest. Goggles shoved over green eyes and a freckled nose as an invention sparks to life in rough hands. The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy is a guilty pleasure of both of theirs. Thousands of pens littering an apartment for scribbling down notes whenever they strike. Jason poking plot holes and other criticisms faster than a bullet, character analyzations sharper than his jawline, a lecture about the problem with many contemporary and modern novels longer than his dick. Excited rambles way too early in the morning about some new polymer Roy can work into his arrows. Jason tutoring students in both Lit and Spanish at the public library. NPR playing on the radio. Being in a bent over position for so long they sigh in relief when the other offers them a back massage after smirking when they let out a pained groan. Never throwing anything away because you never know what could be useful.
Tim and Kon together are skate culture.
Tim wraps his boards with tape because, even though he has to replace it every couple of weeks, he likes the designs. Kon sets some time aside every couple of nights to make sure his rollerblades are doing okay, unscrewing and rescrewing the wheels becoming a habit. Tim’s jeans are ripped to hell, but he still wears them over and over again, saying “I’ve got kneepads it’s fine.” Kon wears his round red sunglasses with increasing frequency; Tim says it makes him look like a dork but Kon knows he secretly likes it. Tim likes taking aesthetic photographs of Kon while skating, and since he’s a damn good photographer, the pictures turn out beautiful. Kon likes taking pictures of Tim, but he’s not as good and he uses a blurry iphone camera. Even so, they’re in-the-moment and raw and Tim loves them anyway. Kon loves practicing tricks: skating backwards on his in-lines has become a smooth, practiced motion for him, his misfits are vicious, his savannahs make spectators terrified he’s stumble and fall. He does them all, with a rakish grin, and comes to a stop with his head held high for applause. Tim, on the other hand, just skates. he’ll roam the streets and sidewalks of Gotham, mindlessly pushing his skateboard, going over pits and bumps with practiced ease. The constant, repetitive motion is a form of meditation for him, but still active enough to keep his mind alive. Every week Kon changes his nail polish color, and usually it’s Tim painting his nails for him. Tim’s wardrobe consists entirely of 6 or 7 oversized sweatshirts and sweaters, and when he’s not cycling through those same clothes over and over again, he wears Kon’s shirts. They hang loose on his frame, but that makes him love them even more. Kon rarely ever takes his fingerless gloves off. In contrast, Tim’s knuckles are constantly busted up to hell. Ton’s got a bold undercut that would look stupid and try-hard on anyone else, but somehow, it works really well for him. Tim’s hair is always just a little overdue for a haircut. The two of them have so many socks, like a huge drawer full of them. They’re patterned and textured, long and short, and they’re constantly in use. Tim collects stickers to overlay the bottom of his board with. Kon gets around the city as a pedestrian wearing roller blades more often than actual shoes. The kids frequenting the skate park are a second family.
Damian and Jon are art culture.
Charcoal and marker ink staining Damian’s hands. Callouses littering Jon’s fingertips, because he never pulls up his invulnerability when playing. Blank canvases that rarely get used in the closet. Screenshotted and printed out sheet music never in the folder they’re supposed to be in. Damian hiding spray paint cans from Bruce. Humming at all hours of the day. Homemade paper lanterns as decorations. Pencils in a leather pencil case. Pencils in a two dollar plastic case. Pencils on the sheets of the bed and in a cup near the sink and on top of the coffee table. A guitar pick collection that never gets used. Refusing to buy new sketchbooks, arguing in vain that they’re reusable. Jon bsentmindedly playing out a melody on the piano when he’s thinking. Paint splattered jeans. A painted denim jacket. Tuning a violin regularly but always forgetting to rosen until it becomes a necessity. Damian drawing all over Jon’s arms. Falling in love with the stranger ones of the old composers. Beautiful handmade cards for every required occasion. Drawings and paintings based off a piece Jon played. Sweeping and emotional music pieces based off something Damian created. Half finished sketches of Jon littering every sketchbook Damian ever gets. Days of playing the same chords over and over again before being struck by an idea for a song. “I made this for you.”
yes i am aware roy’s characterization in this is based off rhato which is a terrible characterization to begin with. no i do not care. look at how fucking long tim and kon’s is i’m not sorry

Team Tokyo First Years Headcanons
(Ft. Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, Gojo & Sukuna)
Gojo created a group chat with all three students to coordinate things. However, he never knows if Megumi reads the texts because he never says anything (he does), and all Yuji does is send memes, so basically that's its only function now.
Yuji and Nobara created a game: try to take a picture of Gojo with his blindfold off. He takes it off frequently, it's just impossible to catch an image of it. Surprisingly, Megumi of all people has gotten the closest. If you squint, you can see the baby blues.
This escalated into "who can take the ugliest picture of someone without them looking", after capturing an image of Yuji standing next to Gojo's desk with almost four chins. Nobara discovered she has many bad angles and Gojo discovered he's photogenic from ALL angles.
Yuji likes to use Nobara's ugly pictures as reaction images and memes. At first, Nobara beat him up whenever he did, but now as long as they don't leave the first-year chat she doesn't care. She'll even supply them if she's feeling silly.
Gojo started a prank war on accident and it shows no sign of stopping. It started because he enjoys Nobara's over the top reactions. When she found the LIVE snake in her bed (oh boy, everyone's soooo lucky she's good with reptiles), she immediately suspected this was Yuji's doing. She pranked him, he got her back, Megumi walked into a prank on accident, he got them back twice over, and now it just won't stop. Gojo was fully prepared to deal with the consequences, but he isn't complaining.
The First Year prank war is pretty well known around the school, and everyone's learned to stay away from anything that looks suspicious.
Gojo uses this to his advantage too; sometimes he'll pull pranks on the first and even second years just to watch them blame each other. He's even gone as far as pranking Principal Yaga hoping that he would blame the kids, but Yaga knows for a fact it's Gojo. He hasn't done anything about it though. This stresses Gojo.
Most of the time, when they eat out, each student pays for their meal. When Gojo's there he pays for all four of them, and if Yuji tries to use the "I don't have any money" excuse when Nobara decides to stop for a coffee, she'll buy him one too. She holds it against him, though.
If his kids are all craving a certain type of food (i.e. Chinese) Gojo will head out and pick it up and they'll all eat as a family.
Nobara proposed once a month they have a "spa" day. Surprisingly, the other two students agreed. She's allowed to give them manicures and pedicures (so long as she doesn't get carried away), trim and treat their hair, exfoliate their faces, and they help her re-dye her hair. Megumi is a good client, while Yuji gets bitched at a lot for squirming while getting his nails clipped and jerking when he gets his eyebrows plucked.
Yuji also proposed they have a movie night every Friday night. If they're busy, they'll move it to Saturday, or have it earlier in the day during the week. Sometimes the second years will join. Gojo is banned because he's basically seen every movie and always spoils the end. Everyone got mad at Yuji's request to use subtitles but gave up arguing with how loud Yuji chews.
They also have game nights, but they lost the pieces to most board games after Nobara threw them out the window, Megumi is the only one who knows how to play chess and Shogi, and Yuji fears the safety of his controllers after Megumi got dangerously close to beating Nobara in Smash.
Yuji's room is the main hangout joint because of the electronics he owns. Literally, there's a whole ass common/living room for them to use. However, they go to Nobara's room for a spa day, as long as the boys are gone by sundown.
Gojo knows damn good and well his kids don't like each other in that way and would never have sex with each other, but he still feels the need to give them the talk ™. He's literally given each child a free box of condoms just in case.
Gojo bought each student customized "if lost, please return to Jujutsu Tech" shirts. Yuji doesn't mind wearing his because it's just another hoodie to him, and Nobara doesn't mind hers because it's a crop top and it's cute. Megumi burned his in front of Gojo.
Nobara takes the boys shopping a lot. Megumi is surprisingly good at picking out clothes that fit Nobara's physique and taste, and Yuji is there to hype her up when she walks out of the dressing room. He also isn't scared to tell her a dress doesn't look good on her, and she respects that.
Sometimes even Sukuna will pop out and give commentary. He gives really mixed signals, sometimes he tells her how she's not much to look at, sometimes he talks about the things he wants to do to that ass because of how good they look in those jeans. This results in Yuji getting slapped, Nobara yelling something like "Shut it, Fang Face!" And people staring at him funny because of it.
She also buys outfits for the boys and occasionally Gojo, because she's tired of hoodies and black. She was just as shocked as the rest when Megumi walked out in his outfit. He only wore it to shut her up, though, and hasn't worn it since.
No matter what they're doing, Yuji is ALWAYS the DJ. He has playlists for almost every occasion (spa day, sparring practice, car rides, game nights, even the times they just chill in the same room on their phones) and the only person that really complains is Sukuna, but only because he hates the Backstreet Boys.
Yuji bursts out in song a lot. No matter what he's doing, he'll just start singing. If they know it, Nobara and Gojo will join in too. Always ends in a giggle fit.
Sometimes Gojo's hand slips and boom! He has 18 dozen cookies instead of 4. He's been known to wrap the cookies up in nice tins and packages and leave them outside the kid's doors.
Gojo has also been known to cook meals for the kids and drop them off. This helps because Megumi is basically the only one who can actually cook. Yuji thinks instant ramen is okay for every meal, and Nobara burns food in a way it's still edible but you don't really want it.
The kids play wrestle, a lot. Yuji was scared to at first because the only one who really wants to fight is Nobara, but he learned quickly she can both take and deliver a punch just fine. She also isn't one of those girls that gets upset if there's an accidental grope, which is cool.
This is how the others discovered Megumi is ticklish. Yuji probably still has the scar and Nobara doesn't dare try to tickle him again.
Yuji fell asleep once and woke up to Sukuna's mouth on his cheek having a full-blown conversation with Nobara while she was reading a magazine. He swears they were gossiping about boys, but as soon as Yuji was awake enough to pay attention, Sukuna noticed and started bullying him. To this day Nobara still thinks she was talking to Yuji the whole time because she never noticed he fell asleep.
Yuji can fall asleep almost anywhere. Nobara draws on his face a lot. He's spent countless nights on Megumi's floor just because he's too lazy to move literally one room over.
Nobara has a habit of walking into the boys' rooms without knocking. Megumi is usually laying in bed on his phone or sitting at his desk, however, she's walked into Yuji doing some weird shit. Not gross shit, just... Concerning shit.
Once she walked in on him crying and didn't know what to do. She just kinda walked in and sat down with him until he stopped, occasionally rubbing his back. They didn't say a word until Yuji made a joke and Nobara continued with why she even came into his room, to begin with.
The three students are surprisingly supportive of each other like that, it's just kinda awkward and passive-aggressive at times. Sometimes they even confide in Gojo, and he takes it seriously, surprisingly.
Gojo has a Tik Tok account. He participates in every challenge, every dance, every trend, and apparently has a huge following. Yuji gets featured in the videos sometimes when he isn't recording, and he's mostly doing the stupid shit Gojo does, like doing backflips on building ledges.
While Tik Tok is Gojo's forte Yuji has done video game commentary on twitch and yt live. Megumi is quite popular on subreddits about urban legends and related folklore, and Nobara helps maintain blogs about current events, but... It's mostly celebrity gossip and new music.
Every Saturday is chore day and no one's allowed to do leisurely activities or leave until they're done. Rooms and hallways have to be vacuumed, swept, mopped, whatever. Gojo checks that the rooms aren't dirty. He doesn't mind clutter, he just hates wrappers and shit being left around. He especially pays attention to the cleanliness of the bathrooms for some reason. Megumi is good about cleaning his room throughout the week, Nobara usually just has clutter on her nightstand and dresser, and Yuji waits until the last minute to clean.
The first years used to do their laundry separately, but Nobara threw a temper tantrum when she witnessed Yuji just throw all of his clothes in the washer at once and simply turn it on. Now normally, she wouldn't help anyone get out of work, but she also likes things being done the right her way, so she does his laundry for him. Megumi got involved somehow and now they throw all of their clothes in the same basket and divide them by darks, colors, whites, and delicates. She refuses to let any of their overly- soiled clothes touch hers, so those usually get their own wash too. Each student folds and puts away their own clothes.
Most arguments end with rock paper scissors. Pinkie promises are also sacred.
Gojo keeps a sticker board in the classroom. Whenever the kids do something good, they get a star. Whenever they do something bad, one gets taken away. When they get to five stickers they get a prize from the treasure box.
No one has gotten to five stars yet. This is good because there is no treasure box. Gojo is bullshitting everyone.
Yuji likes to steal Megumi's stickers because he thinks Megumi will not notice. He does every time.
Gojo has a stool in the corner of the classroom complete with a horribly cliche dunce cap he calls "the Naughty Corner" for when the kids "act up". Nobara ends up there because she's always on her phone, Megumi mouths off a lot and has days where he doesn't feel like doing work, and poor Yuji ends up in the naughty corner because Sukuna can't behave.

you've likely answered this but do you own any spongebob merch?
Actually no I haven't ever gotten an ask like this! Surprisingly ain't it?
Ahh yess I've been waiting my whole life for this. I actually feel a little embarrassed since it's a lot. But anyways I'll let ya look at my wall of shame™
Tumblr media
Due to SB's decline in popularity over the past 10 years its been getting harder and harder to find merchandise unless you got it from online. So because of that, I have a large stack of spongebob stickerbooks/activity books/coloring books. Anyone got suggestions as to what to use the stickers for?
Tumblr media
There's stuff I found second hand which is a SB tv, dvd player, clock, and that phone. The tv didn't work before but now I got it to work.
Tumblr media
A LOT of plushies. Coolbob with the shades, the infamous farting spongebob plushie, also a cutie patootie heart shaped spongebob plushie just to name a few. Some plushies I got when I was a patient at a children's hospital. Since sometimes they'd give ya stuff and I'd only pick SB. Those are really old and beat up now but I still adore them.
Tumblr media
Tho my favorite is an invincibubble plush because the 2nd movie is my all time favorite. I got that second hand.
I have like 3 mugs for some reason? 1st one was a gift from long ago tho it chipped so I use it as a paint cup. The 2nd one I found that's shaped as spongebob. Its too cute to use. 3rd is a Mrs. Puff boating school mug. Its not microwave safe hence why I don't use it. Tbh I'm scared to use it because of that reason. Idk what would happen if you do decide to warm up some milk in it. Will it make your organs melt?? Someone tell me so I don't have to fear using it😢
I have seasons 1-3, the 3 movies, and seasons 9, 11, 12. The store I used to by DVDs from closed down. Just recently it occurred that I could buy them online but still, getting them in person you can get the original box art. The newer ones aren't as cool. Check it out! Its so detailed!!
Tumblr media
Oh also I got some SB comics! And the art book 👀
Tumblr media
Also a lot of figurines for some reason, I've just noticed. My favorite is the scaredypants one with his brain out. Because I think that's my favorite episode? Hard to pick a favorite episode from my favorite season but I think Scaredypants is my favorite.
I got magnets, cups, pins, buttons, keychains, wall art stuff. The krabby patty secret formula. Also a pack of SB pencils from 2007 that I'm too scared to open because its so old. I found it one day at the sketchy dollar store.
Tumblr media
Also some shirts, socks, and a jacket and a bag. A blanket? It's not really big enough to use as a regular blanket. Usually I just put it over my shoulders and pretend to be a hermit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also have a calendar for this year. And I still have my SB calendar from 2016. Because it was so rare to find SB stuff so when I found that calendar I knew I would keep it forever. And I still am. I also sometimes repurpose the packaging on SB stuff. Make other stuff out of it since its still perfectly good. Though that's a little weird now that I think about it. But its useful. I got this little box thing that I keep a bunch of scrunchies and a hairbrush in.
Tumblr media
I remember in high school, there was a girl who was really into Spongebob from my SAP class which is basically introduction to Sociology, Anthropology, and Psychology which sounds exciting but it's not.
Anyways I didn't find out until one time she was talking about how she dreamed of marrying spongebob. Which uhh I'm not going to touch on that since it's not the strangest thing I've heard from students from that school. But up until that moment I always thought she was too cool™ and mature™ so it was pretty funny and made me feel comfortable talking to her since we share interests and she went on and on about how much she adored spongebob and how she had blankets, notebooks, pretty much everything spongebob. And I was so jealous like gosh I wish I could do that. And now I've realized I did do that. Wack ain't it?
There was also a girl from one of my classes in University and she noticed the little SB plush dangling from my bag and we've actually became good friends over it? And she wore a SB sweatshirt one time and I was like "oh I have the same one!" And she said she wore it because she thought of me and gosh?????
Oh also one of my friend's had a little spongebob pin based off of the episode Pests of the West. Its shaped as a sheriff star. She gave it to me and I'm still so so so honored. It's so cooool. She has a SB keychain with her name on it which is so lucky. I know I'd never find that since ya kno,,,, my name isn't common.
Anyways with all this SB stuff, my room has no actual theme. I always wanted everything to be black™ and dark™ and edgy. And while I do have some spooky stuff™ spiders, bat shaped things, skeletons and whatever. It's a very unusual with that being overpowered by Spunchbop and I like that. One side got a giant dracula poster and the other side has a spongebob alter. There is peace in the universe.
I did wanted to share a picture of Glovey Glove on a summoning circle tho as a send off but I cant add anymore pictures to my post😔 but just know I will do it. Glovey Glove is an entity of such dark forces beyond our comprehension. It would induce madness just trying to imagine. He shall destroy our existing universe and everything after that. He is the bringer of the end. The causer of chaos to the miserable and bleak void known as space of which we exist in. Our speckle of rock known as Earth so carelessly floating through the emptiness, oblivious from the destruction the one known as Glovey Glove shall soon bring upon us. What a cutie!💖
So uhh yeah! Too bad I couldn't share pictures of anything but I think you've got a good idea. I got the bookshelf a few months ago to put my stuff in and it made me realize I have a loooot of spongebob stuff. Before everything used to be so scattered. Oh and just yesterday I added the heart stickers on it. Because I have a lot for some reason.
Hope you enjoy 👍

a3 weekday morning routine headcanons bc i have brain rot
- anyways its chaos. there’s 20 fucking people in this dorm why wouldn’t it be - 7am sharp izumi is walking around the dorms banging pots and pans so the students + itaru can gtf up and get ready for the day
- azuma got his dorm soundproofed
-homare recites his poems very loudly and if that doesn’t get you up and ready then your name is tsuzuru and nothing will
-omi/and or tsuzuru (if he’s not in a writing coma) have been up makin breakfast for everyone. id imagine that those two and izumi cycle through breakfast duties -sakyo is up too being menacing enough to actually get the boys to leave their rooms - sakyo draggin itaru out of his room by the ponytail...
-taichi, without a doubt, always seems to be doing last minute homework on the breakfast table. its like a fucking curse -tsumugi is perched over the desk with him unhelpfully not giving him the answers, much to taichi’s pain - “i want you to figure out how to do this yourself so you can learn!”  “yEAH WELL TSUMUGI ,THE BUS IS PULLING UP IN FIVE MINUTES I REALLY DON’T HAVE TIME TO LEARN THIS PLEASE JUST TELL ME WHAT PERPENDICULAR MEANS AGAIN” -juza and tasuku begging and pounding on the door to use the bathroom because banri and azuma are still in there
-sakuya can never find all of his uniform. either it’s his tie, his sweater, or his shoes that are missing, and they’re in new spots everyday
-(it’s kamekichi. kamekichi moves his uniform because hes a bastard)
-misumi always ends up finding the uniform (and other lost things) bc he’s constantly combing over the dorm for triangles. izumi pays him for his service with onigiri
-masumi has to be dragged out of bed by izumi, much to her dismay, because now she has a 16 year old boy with a bad case of morning breath attached to her ankle -kamekechi squawks out the time for everyone - kazunari vidoes the morning chaos and uploads them to his instablam. one of his highest rated videos is him filming kamekichi screeching out the time and someone off camera throwing a cushion at him and absolutely obliterating the bird. it was yuki
-citron is lining up bookbags and lunchbags by the door but they’re organized in such a way citron might as well of just dumped them on the floor and called it a day
-the absolute panic that ensues when kamekechi says the hanasaki bus and the ouka bus are pulling up. sakuya can't find his uniform, taichi is still doing his geometry homework, masumi hasn't eaten breakfast, and banri is still in the fucking bathroom
-all the boys run out of the dormitory one by one, citron and misumi handing them their bags while izumi counts them off  - “one, two, three, four, five,- BANRI! GET OUT OF THE BATHROOM YOUR BUS IS HERE!”  -if ur ready by certain times u can get different rides. 7:30 is when sakyo pulls out, thats the early ride. the buses come at 7:50, thats like the average time. beyond that is the itaru mobile and god knows when hes pulling out
-the hanasaki high drop off is set up so cars have to go through a big loop before dropping their students off. itaru hates that fucking loop with his entire life. there’s too many fucking cars and traffic is slow as hell. he swears to his PC that if fucking little timmy takes five minutes getting his bookbag out of the goddamn trunk of his mommy’s car again itaru is just going to floor it.
-itaru has had to sign in the late students so many times that the old lady secretaries know him by name. some of them flirt with itaru and he’s never been more uncomfortable in his entire life. -when taichi and banri r late they use the “morning acting practice ran late” like a fucking crutch
-tasuku doesnt drive anyone in because his role is to ferry all the shit the students forgot at home to the schools
-st. flora's starts an hour later so muku and yuki go up into the practice room and wait with hisoka until the morning chaos has subsided
-while the st. flora boys are getting ready winter troupe + misumi and citron  are on clean up duty to get the dorms looking back before the morning tornado swept through
-omi has a really bad habit of being oblivious to the chaos around him and doing literally anything else besides dealing with the current problems -omi voice: i made ramen for everyone!! izumi voice: yes you did and im very thankful but we could have REALLY used the extra hand to find sakuya's uniform  omi: ah
- one time muku opens what he thinks is his brown bag lunch and finds three bottles of black cherry white claw and nothing else. azuma and izumi have to explain to the st. flora’s principal about the situation while sakyo goes and buys bento boxes and a label maker for everyone. he has sakoda write up a strict policy about labeling your lunches before you put them in the fridge.
-(kind of a tangent but they have a lil team bonding activity where they all go into the lounge and decorate their new bento boxes!! they put their signatures and flower motif on them. yuki's, omi’s, kazunari's, and banri's look amazing, and hisoka used the labelmaker to put his name on his and called it a day. homare put his motif on it and forced him to at least sign his name. misumi got a triangle bento box. kazu used his art school magic begging a friend to borrow their sticker maker to make misumi a waterproof super mr. triangle sticker. misumi carries his bento box around everywhere for a solid two weeks afterwards)
edit: y’all really seemed to like this So. i made a blog @a3-headcannon-hell
