#welp it sure looks like i now have throat arthritis #lmao fuck me i guess. not even my larynx is safe from AS #i've had pain in there off and on for like five years now #but i never remembered to bring it up to my rheumatologist. probably bc a sore outer throat doesn't seem like a rheumy's concern #but guess what? it is! #the thing is i've BEEN on prednisone and tnf inhibitors and il-17 blockers and it's still getting worse #even though those are the recommended treatments #so idk what to do since those didn't help the problem #if this goes untreated it can block my trachea or paralyze my vocal cords #they say that's rare but AS also isn't supposed to cause contracture and fusion in every joint in your body #so i'm guessing my general condition is severe enough for cricoarytenoid arthritis to block my shit up completely at some point #that's my luck lmao #also if i ever need another surgery (which is a given) this will make intubation even harder than it already was with my limited neck ROM #i just. can my body please please PLEASE give me ONE SINGLE BREAK. P L E A S E #it's a fucking prison and i am so fucking tired of it fighting me at every conceivable turn #also even if prednisone helped? it gave me diabetes so i wouldn't be able to take it anymore anyway.
