Issue 2 for the fake miniseries “The Tortoise and the Hare!!” This time around the boys get involved in more shenanigans, and they have to make their quick escape. I feel like this one already looks so different from my first cover, and it makes me feel so happy. Literally so excited to keep creating this year aaaa!!!
I never mentioned this character that was created months ago but today I'm going to take the opportunity to show u
Himari Bunny (Max Hare's fangirl)
shes a shy bunny (I was inspired by Fluttershy from MLP)
I clarify that she isn't one of the bunnies that appear in the animated short... I suspect that they'ree minors and I do not make that type of ships, wakala
Truckers: DreamWorks was supposed to do an adaptation of Terry Pratchett's book With Simon Beaufoy writing the script and a set release date of 2012. The talks of making the film seemed to die down once the script was completed and everyone has since moved on.
It looks to me like some of the designs inspired the Trolls.
Pearls Before Swine: Dreamworks purchased the rights to make a film adaptation of the comic strip Pearls Before Swine in 2006, shortly before they released their adaption of fellow comic strip Over the Hedge. Since then nothing has come of it.
The Tortoise and the Hare: An Aardman/Dreamworks project retelling "The Tortoise and the Hare" that might have featured Michael Caine as one of the voiceover performers withered on the vine.
Tales From The Aniverse: Dreamworks also planned to adapt a character from the extremely obscure 1980s black-and-white furry comic Tales From The Aniverse in the early 2000s, but reps had a hard time comprehending the treatment that the comics' creator gave them.
Me and My Shadow: A film about a man's friendship with his Living Shadow that would have featured a unique blend of 3D and traditional animation, was scheduled to be released in early 2014 but seems to have fallen through the cracks after Dreamworks's split with Paramount.
B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations: A film centering on an agency of ghosts, was set to be released in the summer of 2015. It has now been put on the back burner due to DreamWorks' restructuring plans.
What do you think? Is there hope these movies might be seen on the big screen?
With 2D and 3D being mixed together more and more ''Me and My Shadow'' has the biggest chance of returning.
Also, ''Tales From The Aniverse'' sound and look interesting. An animated sci-fi franchise of movies and maybe series?
This is something I wanna talk about. It’s been bugging me for a great deal for a while now. I’m not sure if it has been brought up, but if it has, I’ve never seen that discussion. Okay, here we go.
When people talk about the fight between Team RWBY and the Ace-Ops in “With Friends Like These”, a common topic is how the Ops lose because they ‘ignored the moral of their stories’
For those who are not familiar, characters in RWBY are inspired or themed around figures in popular or obscure myths, folklore, or fiction. The Ace-Ops, as you can guess by their names, are themed on the Aesop Fables, short stories designed to teach a lesson. For example, Marrow Amin is based on the Dog who loses his bone because he thinks his reflection in a pond is another dog with a bone and wants ‘the other dog’s’ bone as well. The moral here is that you shouldn’t be greedy.
Harrier Bree is based on the Hare from that classic bit, the Tortoise and the Hare. In that story, the Hare agrees to race against the Tortoise, but is so confident that he’ll win that he takes a nap once he’s far enough ahead. The Hare sleeps so soundly that the Tortoise is able to pass and win the race.
In the show, Harrier quickly zeroes in on Ruby Rose as her opponent (Given that she’s already asserted to be faster and in response to a taunt Ruby made at the beginning of the fight.). During the fight, Harrier is completely unyielding, refusing to give up even when her hands are bound. This actually plays a big part in why she ends up losing. Her hyperfocus on beating Ruby prevents her from supporting her teammates, and she becomes so fixated that she fails to see Weiss materializing a wall of ice and knocks herself out.
My point is, the Hare didn’t take the Tortoise seriously as an opponent and loses, while Harrier became so invested in beating Ruby that she ends up defeating herself.
This fable is about a tortoise and hare who decided to race one day to prove who is the fastest.
The hare is very confident and races ahead of the tortoise.
However, because he is so cocky, he decides to have a nap.
The tortoise goes by him, and by the time the hare wakes up, the tortoise is nearly at the end. The hare dashes to keep up, but loses.
The message of the fable is, "Slow and steady, wins the race," and that being swift doesn't automatically mean you will ring.
I didn't understand the message till a couple of weeks ago, but what I learnt from it is, keep going no matter how far it is you are going to. Slow and steady will eventually win you the race and goal
Played around and made a fake idw cover. Leo would probably mess around and call their duo the Tortoise and the Hare. This would take place about a year post movie, so Leo is in a somewhat delicate state between letting himself have fun and taking things too seriously. The story is that Leo and Yuichi meet by chance in the Hidden City at Run of the Mill, and Leo instigates a confrontation when Hueso Jr. talks about how cool Yuichi’s swordsmanship is. In their fight (they take it outside) the boys will end up accidentally destroying some things, and more trouble ensues. I’m only doing covers for the issues, but maybe I’ll draw some scenes that come up in my mind. No promises though!! I plan to make a couple more fake covers mostly for coloring and composition practice, but I hope y’all like it!!
