Something that is in fact SO important to Wei Wuxian is that, fundamentally, he is hot. He is Thee Hot Girl. He’s shooting five arrows blindfolded as a charged political statement and he’s doing it with zero magic powers AND he was sexy when he did it. He beats out his own brother (sorry, Jiang Cheng) for Most Eligible Bachelor despite being literally dirt poor and not a sect heir. He lives rent free in the minds of everybody twenty years later, to the point that JC and LWJ are literally Like That and NHS literally constructed his revenge plot around him and— look, just watch the scenes at the Second Burial Mounds Siege. Oh, and they use all his inventions, even though he’s an evil heretic, because uhhh they were really good inventions. Actually. Like he was in fact at the top of the field as an inventor and innovator. And he was hot. AND he had no powers. Whoops.

I finally finished my watchthrough of the 2 MDZS shows and here are my thoughts from my notes

#basically i am saying that im glad i started with untamed bc boy would i have been lost if i started with donghua #now the perfect adaptation would have the animation format with the length of untamed. or maybe a little shorter #saw someone on reddit say mdzs gave almost nothing to the wangxian shippers and wdym?? theyre literally gay married and have a child #...i think im so used to censorship my standards are on the ground #also. the cool thing with actors is that you can tell them apart with their faces. for the donghua you tell them apart with their bangs #was very shocked to learn the yin iron was cql-only lol. dunno how to feel about that #the untamed special effects are really something you have to power through. but it was worth it #also apparently wen qing was gonna be wwx's love interest??? holy fuck insane #finally and most importantly: the yiling laozu fucks #mdzs #cql #the untamed #mo dao zu shi #grandmaster of demonic cultivation #mxtx #mo xiang tong xiu

Their negotiations with the studios begin today, and the higher the turnout right now, the easier for the SAG-AFTRA negotiating committee. High visible public support means more leverage at the bargaining table! The Trek-fandom Snack Squad has teamed up with OFMD Snakery Snackery squad to sponsor food trucks: breakfast tacos, ice cream, churros, and a full-service coffee stand.

But this isn't about any individual fandom, it's about the power of fans and fandom communities at large. We are often overlooked by studios as just being a segment of their audiences, but we are massively powerful because of our passion, creativity, and community. Let's harness that power to get a high turnout — and high online visibility — Tuesday, Oct 3, and keep the pressure on for the studios to negotiate with the actors in good faith.
