It's endlessly fascinating to me how bad/mediocre movies sometimes directly lead to good movies. Like, the Volume technology first used in the Mandalorian (and now everything else) was only possible because of technology developed for the Lion King (2019). Taron Egerton became the frontrunner to play Elton John in Rocketman (2019) because of his performance of "I'm Still Standing" in Sing (2016). It's honestly bizarre.
i think it's the Volume that makes so many Mandalorian (and Obi wan Kenobi) sets look like the Star trek planets did up until the 90s. Every planet is just a differently colored sky and some weird rocks. Is it Mandalore or is it the canyon Riker goes to in TNG season 1 to shout "Anybody??". This episode, Din even went into the star trek caves. Nevarro is just a fancier version of the village center play sets Voyager always visited, imo.
THEY'RE SHOOTING IN THE VOLUME!? OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOD I'M LOSING IT THIS IS GOING TO BE SO FUCKING GOOD I CAN'T EXPRESS HOW EXCITED I AM I'M OH MY GOD!!!
