Tumblr links aren't working but anyways hi! I am that anon who's going to races funded by her German brother and his husband. On my way to Monza so here's how the week went —

Unfortunately Binotto was nowhere to be found but it's ok at least we got a Lestappen podium. Took pictures with all of the drivers and based on that I realized–

Kevin, Seb, Checo, Max–I could definitely tell are a parent based on how they held my toddler and interacted with my kids.

Daniel, Lando, Pierre and Valtteri are very good with toddlers.

Zhou, Alex and Mick would be amazing fathers in the future.

Lance, Fernando, Estie bestie, Yuki, Carlos literally don't know how to hold or handle a toddler 😭. (Would you be happy to know that my toddler almost ripped out Lance's hair)

i didn't realize how small Yuki was until me and my 7 year old stood besides him.

Lewis, Nicky are surprisingly good with kids.

Charles was literally a child 😭. Trying to get a picture of me and my kids was such a tough task. It was like I came to Zandvoort with 3 babies 🥲.

Can't believe I am saying but George is a decent lad when he's not being a Mercedes generated pr robot. Like he's scarily good with babies. He even made them laugh 😃

My toddler almost cried seeing Toto because apparently he 'looks like the grinch'.

Someone get me a Michael and Brad because oh my God they are so funny and would make amazing best friends.

That's it for now. Let's see what Monza brings and I know for a fact the tifosi are waiting for Binotto (Ferrari) to mess up so that they can publicly execute him 💀. Will be joining them 😁

oh my god anonstie... girl what 😭 how did you meet every single driver what sort of luck do you have????? and the babies met them too!!!!! ahhhhhh.....🥺🥺🥺 do enjoy the murder attempt on lance stroll... also LOL based at crying at toto. that baby is valid!!! charl loves babies so much 🥺 I can't believe you got to meet everyone ahhhhhhhh [clenched fist grinding teeth] I'm happy for you (should've been me)

I still suggest carrying a broom and hitting the the giant rat that is mattia esp if they mess up MONZA!!! forza ferrari baby!!! enjoy the race weekends, take lots of pictures, have a fun and safe time, use the babies as bait to do crimes!!

Finders Keepers (cont.)

Hey babe, heard you weren't feeling too well, so I wrote you another quick drabble of tiny wolf George, this time they're going on a team run. Beware this is a bit angsty so if you're not in the mood for a bit of angst I'm sorry. (Also I'm sorry this is so short, because I need to go to work and only had time to write this short thing again). Hope you're feeling better soon 💙💙💙

HONESTLY I HAVE NO WORDS HOW HAPPY THIS MADE ME WHEN I READ IT YESTERDAY, THANK YOU SO SO MUCH 🥺🥺💖💖💖💖

Shifting as a team and going on runs together has long been a great way of team building and it's been so deeply embedded in their paddock lifestyle, that the FIA makes sure to allocate each team a time frame at every event where they can do that.

Because as wolfs they're bound to follow their instincts a lot more, the FIA is careful to make sure that no teams are allocated the same times to ensure that no on track rivalry will be carried out as wolfs in a way that could harm anyone.

So George accepts when Lewis suggests they go on a run together in their allocated time on Thursday, although going on a run with a new group is always stressful for him. A lot of the engineers and mechanics haven't seen him in his less than imposing form and he's bound to get lost at some point, his small legs making travel a lot slower than most wolves.

In F2 it had been alright, Jack had been with him and had known him from GP3 so he knew what to look out for. His first race in F1 almost got him lost without the efforts of Aleix making sure he was always in a distance to see the others but still be visible to George so he could catch up. (He'd still gotten lost.) When Nicky joined the team it helped because even if Nicky was huge as a wolf, his instinct to take care of George was so strong that he'd kept them save.

And sure, he's been part of the Mercedes team before but he's never been part of a run. He knows most of these guys and girls are massive in their wolf form. So yeah, he's nervous.

It doesn't help that Aleix and Angela have decided to stay back to take care of Roscoe and George will have to go for his first run with a new team without knowing if someone will go look for him if he goes missing.

There's heavy rain clouds on the sky and George knows his wolf form won't mind and will love the rain, he also knows it will make it easier for him to slip and fall should it get wet.

He's still in thoughts when the FIA official in charge of swapping the runs over comes to collect them. They all shift and George looks around him and feels himself towered by everyone. In wolf forms they're all pretty big but the big black wolf that George recognises as Toto and the even bigger dark brown wolf that is now in place of where Michael stood are massive.

Michael walks over to him and lowers his head to sniff at George who can't help but nuzzle against the other wolf's snout. As much as he loves to deny it in human form, his wolf form loves Mike. Ever since he'd found him and kept him safe on Monday, his inner wolf is urging him to stick close to the other.

They still have to wait for the Williams team to return and it's not long before they arrive (the overlap in this case is okay because it's supervised and because Mercedes and Williams are known to get along.)

George jumps from Michael's form over to the almost twin forms of Alex and Nicky, both with thick dark fur. The only way to keep them apart is the little bit darker fur on Nicky and the more orange eyes of Alex. But George would always know these two.

They get a moment to greet each other and then the dark grey smaller wolf that George knows is Jost comes over to lead Alex and Nicky away (but not before grooming George until Toto shows up next to him with a less than impressed glance as if to say 'he's my pup sod off').

And then the Mercedes team is off.

At first George can sort of catch up to everyone. But then it does start raining and gets even darker with the clouds and the others in their blacks and browns camouflage with the woods around them.

One second he's right behind Bono and then they all turn right after a particularly big tree and then suddenly George is alone. He sniffs the air, tries to figure out where everyone has gone, but the rain that's now coming down steadily washes all scents away.

There's a rustling in some bushes that spook George heavily that turns out to be just a bunny and maybe he should want to hunt the other animal, after all it's prey, but he feels more scared when it jumps out than the bunny seems to be.

He whines, hoping someone will hear him. He trots back and forth but he knows the tree is so prominent that it's probably his best bet to stay. It's easy to lose his way if he should turn back.

And so he sits down, burrows himself into the leaves that are on the floor and tucks himself against the roots of the tree. He doesn't know how long he's cowering there but he's getting cold and with every moment the woods start turning darker and darker and he's whining.

His human form tries taking back over but his wolf form is so desperate that he won't let him. His human conscience knows he needs to be patient, wait until his wolf form is exhausted enough to let go of his desperation.

The rain gets lighter again and the woods turn silent.

And so George tries howling, trying to grab anyone's attention. He's surprised when there's a howl that answers him and he answers, even if his howls aren't as thunderous and loud as the other howl is.

He hopes it's someone from his team, as the howling grows closer.

And then a big wolf comes around the corner, eyes frantic, searching.

It's Michael, George can tell by scent and he runs up to the other wolf.

When Michael sees the tiny white whole he lays down and lowers his head in apology. George rubs against his side and gives him a playful bite.

Michael helps him back to the paddock patiently. The team (pack) is waiting at the fence, the wolf form of Toto glaring and growling at the FIA official seeming to want to hurry them along.

When George stumbles into their midst the Lewis and Bono turn to him and immediately start grooming him, whining and whimpering in apology.

They filter back into the motorhome. George doesn't want to change back any more, scared of the embarrassment of getting lost so easily. And so he stays as the small wolf, let's Aleix clean his paws and the fur on his tummy and cuddles against Roscoe's side, eyeing everyone around him as they change back.

“We're so sorry, George. We should've looked out better.”, Lewis apologises nearing George's form and offering his hand for George to sniff. He does and butts his head against it, demanding scratchies that Lewis is happy to oblige him with.

They all apologise but George is still too embarrassed to change back, even if he forgives them. If only he wouldn't be so small and tiny and would've been able to keep up.

“It's okay.”, Michael sits down next to him and places a hand on George's back, fingers digging into the white fur. “You don't need to be embarrassed. It was our bad you got lost.”, he mutters.

His words help but he's tired and doesn't really want to change back. And so he just gets up and crawls into Michael's lap, despite his human conscious yelling at him to stop and to get up and 'oh my god let me take over', where he lays down and let's the engineer pet him until he falls asleep.

(When he wakes in his own hotel bedroom in human form he wants to scream into his pillow, because why is his wolf form so drawn to Michael????)
