first of all, hi, i'm cici and thanks for taking the time to read these and wanting to write with me ! that means a lot to me. first things first, i do not tolerate any hate whatsoever. take your homophobia, your transphobia, your racist, your sexist ass off my blog. there's no room for you here !

now that we've taken care off that problem ...

i. i want to start out first with activity on both sides. i am the most RELAXED, most patient person - i do not care how quick or how slow you respond. i understand that as adults we are busy, we have real lives. i also understand that the muse isn't always there. so please never feel rushed and i hope you can treat with that same leniency.

ii.dropping threads is completely fine ! i don't mind it at all. if you just wanna message me and start something new, great ! if you don't feel like we are compatible enough to be writing partners - that's okay too. you are not pressured to write with me and please don't feel bad about it either. things happen, muse changes, and sometimes things just don't work out ; that is okay !

iii.i personally don't have any triggers ; when it comes to writing i stay pretty opened minded. with this being said, i do write some darker themes that others might not approve of, or might trigger others. i will tag everything properly when those types of writing arises. however, please do not shame me for what i write ; that will be an immediate block. i do not write smut, nothing against those who do, i personally just SUCK at it, i am god awful with detail and better with dialogue so smutting is not for me, i will be fading to black.

iv. banned fcs ; the only persons i don't have anyone that i won't write against ( except predators obviously ) but there are a few that i might be selective about : taylor swift, madelyn cline, olivia rodrigo, & cillian murphy. i may add to this list, but i hope not. i don't really try to ban any fcs because i feel like i'm here for the story not the faceclaim you're using.

v. sorry plotters ! i am more of a wing it type. send me whatever you're in the mood for and i'll reply. i feel like plotting really bores me. some pieces of the story, sure, but to plot the whole thing?? it just makes me feel like i'm writing it twice and i get bored very quickly so send me something random ! vi. i am a white female who does use faces of people of color. i educate myself every day to make sure that i don't write anything offensive or stereotypical. if something in my writing offends you, please, please come to me and let me fix it. the last thing i want to do is offend or hurt anyone !

I appreciate you not demonizing people who ban Dom

Why would I? He did a shitty thing and nobody has to accept his apology who was hurt by him, though it makes me roll my eyes when these same people accept and love all over the other part of that that got off scott free but anyway.

I don't have anything against people not liking him? He apologised and grew and continuously accepts responsibility and apologises. Even correcting an interviewer that he was 100% in the wrong when they tried to act like it was nothing. That's why I still support and love him. But people do not have to forgive anyone, even if they apologise!!!!!! and the rpc and the world in general seem to forget that.

I'm absolutely done and no longer being nice about people who come into my inbox and be absolutely vile to me. I've made my stance clear, It's even linked in my before you follow / interact. I've said this whole thing numerous times.

ALSO. People don't have to have done anything wrong for you not to like them. Sometimes we just don't like people. Actors/actresses/etc just isn't our thing and that is 100% okay!!! You don't need to give a reason why you like x person over y person or why you dislike someone. They're not your taste? great. you don't have to give a reason to anyone. sometimes there isn't even one. Humans are varied with varied interests and things that pull to to one thing or another.

What you DON'T have a right to do is harass and belittle and be downright awful to people just because they're different than you or like different things.

People also forget I used to be a fan of the other one too. But the non apologies and all that other stuff this isn't about made me be like no. Did I hassle anyone? no I simply said nope no more gifs of x dont hassle me about it.

I have so many people on here that I admire who like vastly different people than me and shows, hell my best friend in life literally has never seen or is interested in ever seeing anything shadowhunters related.

I won't be surprised if you don't already have messages about @thelastgleerp but they're allowing Lea Michele to be used as a FC and banned the characters of Puck, Finn, Santana, and Ryder all because since their canon FCs are problematic (which so is Lea but they don't care) and they don't feel it's the same if they don't have the same face from the series. :/

Okay, let me just get this out there: The characters ARE NOT the actors that portrayed them. So in the instances of Santana, Finn, and even Puck, people DO actually want to see them around. It's also NOT controversial at all to recast them or anyone else. People have been recasting banned fcs in the Glee cast for years. Many people think it's absurd to be using the same fcs that were meant to represent them in high school for these characters still anyway, when you're writing them older. There are so many different actors and actresses in the world, and personally I think there are a lot of characters that actually NEED to be recast. Artie Abrams? Played by someone that isn't in a wheelchair when there are actors in wheelchairs out there? Unique Adams, played by someone that is not a trans woman when there are actual trans women out there to use? How can you tell me that a trans woman character would not better fit her aesthetic with an actual trans woman playing her? How can you tell me that a character in a wheelchair would not better fit his aesthetic if he were played by a man in a wheelchair?

The vibe thing has already come up before for Rachel Berry, there are so many Jewish fcs that have the same aesthetic. Unfortunately, using Lea Michele is problematic because Lea Michele is problematic. That's the bottom line and most people see that as the end-all fact for deciding that these choices in this rp are wrong. I don't get how someone could be so insistent on not using problematic fcs that they delete whole characters from the world because of their canon fcs.... but then keep this one fc that's been talked about and banned by the whole Glee rpc. Even the Achele lovers and the Faberry shippers had to give Lea Michele up. It's not a secret, so this doesn't really make sense to me that we're here talking about this right now.

I think what's happening here is this admin team is afraid that if they admit that Lea Michele is problematic and Rachel should be recast, then they'll have to drop her character entirely because they dropped the other problematic fcs' characters. With Rachel being the main character, if you drop Rachel's entire existence, it changes the vibe of the whole rp. Glee without Rachel just isn't Glee, that would take away a lot of plots.

What all other Glee rps have been doing is recasting the problematic fcs, even if they keep the non problematic ones the same. That's what should have been done here instead of erasing whole characters and keeping a problematic fc. You don't have to erase Rachel if you admit Lea is problematic, you can just recast her. Recast all problematic fcs and keep the rest of the cast the same. It's that simple.

here's the thing. i've never understood the whole "they're banning musicians because of kpop fcs" situation. korean faceclaims range outside of the korean pop genre, with a lot of actors and actresses being giffed and becoming popular. it feels weird to pigeon hole korean faceclaims as solely kpop fcs and idols. i don't know if i'm getting the whole picture, and i was wondering if you could explain further?

*cracks knucks* Opening up my laptop to properly answer this question! Understand whenever we talk about "they're banning musicians because of kpop fcs" we're referring to the PAST rpc ( not the current ). The rpc back was ( and still is ) racist and proof of said racism was the ban of kpop fcs. And I solely mean the idols. I understand that there is more outside of the genre, like I get that, HOWEVER barely anyone made resources for these korean actors and actresses. The individuals who were making the resources back then were the few people within the rpc who listened to kpop, so they would make gif packs of their favorite idols. And if any of these idols happened to do acting on the sideline, then you would have a gif pack of that. That's the closest we got to resources for korean actors and actresses.

We don't have to worry about that now! Now everyone and they momma uses kpop fcs and the occasional actor/actress who isn't an idol. Which is great, love to see it, absolutely amazing!! You just can't deny the fact that the banned was literally created because the rpc was/is racist.

I’m not one to typically do this sort of thing and the fact that it’s at that point where we have to is bothersome to me. I’m an admin at a multi-fandom role play, we’ve been in the tags since the 13th and since then we’ve received a series of asks asking about My Little Pony, why we have it as banned, if muns have to get permission for a ship before doing said ship, if same sex relationships are okay, all of which we have answered happily. When the asks were published we received warnings from other role players that the wording and the way these questions/topics of these questions are being asked sounds like an admin from forgottenfriendshiprpg.

So with these warnings, we did a little digging ourselves and it adds up completely. Here, here  and here you can find a whole blog dedicated to the call out of said admin and her co-admin (who goes by Jazzy, Jacqueline, Jasmine, or Alex. Co-admin goes by Jade). I went through their entire blog and blocked every single one of the members from that rp, we’ve blocked their main and their new main which is manilarpg and they’re STILL sending us hate. I personally have never even heard of this role play until we got warnings about it, this wasn’t even on our radar and for some reason they have nothing better to do than to send us hate??

There was more hate we’ve received from them that we didn’t answer but we have taken screenshots. We don’t like to post negativity on our main, or character blogs because we as an admin team want our members to feel comfortable and safe. I made a post addressing the situation and telling them to stop sending us messages and just leave us alone. Surprise, they didn’t stop.

We have never once implied that we don’t care about friendship and kindness. If anything, we’ve been nothing but kind. But now I’m pissed off, so.

I don’t even know with this one, but still the same person sending us hate.

*Note: This isn’t hate, but it is still the same person. We know this because their use in caps for RPG and good ‘ole freehostedscripts. We did answer it, but because there was so many triggers in one ask we deleted it. Our answer was simple. Yes, we are a safe place to roleplay. We have a handful of LGBTQ+ characters in the role play and we don’t bully anyone because we believe love is love.

This is a warning we got from a friendly anon. This is not the only warning message we have recieved, this is just the only one I screenshotted at the time to show the other admins.

This admin claims that she has changed, but it’s very clear that she has not. We’re notthe only multi-fandom roleplay she’s attacked either from what we have read on the other blogs calling her out. This roleplay is COMPLETELY toxic, the admins are toxic, they have FC’s who are above 18 playing minors, the youngest being sixteen. This PSA is not to attack anyone, but simply warn people. Though, do I really have to with the amount of warnings there already is for this particular set of people? I bet you my top dollar once this is posted I’ll be getting hate sent here too honestly. I’m not sure why people are still applying for these groups honestly, but at this rate if we keep getting hate sent to ours we will see to it that we get their role play shut down.

hmm when people "demand" you let them know when you're dropping a thread?? like if you want to tell me you're going to cool! but i think we should just let people end things when they don't have muse for it and not have to explain themselves. um another one would be "banning" / not writing with all-female muse blogs (unless the muses are all white and heterosexual bc... c'mon it's 2021) which i try cannot believe is still a thing some people do. and then also not respecting an actor's pronouns when creating their muse bc i see that far too often

9. What is your opinion on exclusivity? Do you practice it? Why / why not?

i think it's a bit different when it comes to multimuse blogs in terms of exclusivity but either way i'm totally in favor! i guess i practice it in the sense that if i have a ship i really love with two fcs i won't have a ship with the same two fcs? and also like... sometimes people just find their shipping/writing soulmate and why would you be anything but happy for them for that??

OOOF okay back in like 2016 i was in a twit rp (where i was also an admin) and i was MESSY. i played two characters and for some reason (i genuinely cannot remember why, maybe it was bc admin bias was big back then??) i didn't tell anyone who i was when i picked up the second character... and my second muse found herself in the group's main problem clique and i was playing double agent and trying to change things from within and almost ended up shipping with the same mun with both muses and idk man what can i tell you i was a messy b*tch

so yes i do regret that whole thing, but my second muse got cheated on (not plotted) by her literal fiance of three months irl time so sometimes i don't feel bad looking back <3

14. Do you think rp has had a positive or negative affect on your life or you as a person?

definitely positive in the sense that it's a 10/10 creative outlet for me and i really just get a lot of joy out of writing with my partners <3

uhh i can't even lie i do it sometimes and it's something i'm trying to get better about!! sometimes i think there's something liberating about just typing out your feelings and sending it into the world, but i for SURE get that it can be annoying (which is why i almost always end up deleting the post .2 seconds later)

Okay, Chelsea Fam, I think we need to talk.  That happened. Frank Lampard is sacked. But I am not actually surprised at that, let's be honest, after the Leicester game we all saw that coming, but I am surprised at what actually has been going on behind the scenes. Apparently Frank had no actual impact on transfers: the only two players he actually wanted were Chilwell and Ziyech (and Hakim arrived a bit later than Frank wanted). But what about that little perfect song "we're here solely because of Frank" all players sang when arrived at the club? Secondly, the atmosphere in the dressing room. Senior players complaining about "Frank's favourite kids", Azpi and Rudiger fighting on training sessions... And don't let me start on Rudiger. That rat had talked with Tuchel months prior Frank was sacked. Going behind manager's back and talking directly to the board of Chelsea. Is this a healthy atmosphere in the team? Is this that wholesomeness we were so happy and proud about? But that's on Franks to be honest. He was a manager which means he had to deal with men's enormous egos and cool down everybody in the dressing room. He was a player, he fucking knows how fast one manager can be gone if players want him to. But as I am sad to confirm that, he lost the dressing room and was in contact with only those who he played on the regular basis. But this is not my main concern. Looks like Frank was meant to work only for one season. He "saved" himself with the FA cup final, top 4 during the transfer ban period... but his days were counting. But we - we, the whole chelsea fc fandom were sold the dream. The dream of going out from the same pattern, same old story: new manager -> couple of wins -> trouble period -> old manager sacked -> new manager coming in -> repeat. The dream of having a legacy, something different. Some of us actually believed in that. And the most heartbreaking thing for me that the young players believed that too. I don't think that Mason Mount was fighting like a fucking gladiator for Frank Lampard, thinking at the same time that he doesn't have to put so much effort into that, coz in the end of the day the manager's the one who goes away, but players are the ones to stay.  But moreover I think Timo and Kai were bought not for Frank Lampard, oh fucking no, they were both specifically for german coaches: Tuchel or Nagelsmann or Hasenhüttl - for the first one who'd say yes to the offer from Stamford Bridge. And Frank...he was just trying to do his job. Was he fully ready for that? No. Did he need much more experience? You bet. But he put all that he got into this job, his fucking blue heart into things. From Businesses point of the view everything is done well: Frank helped where he could, brought some talented youth players, brought fans together. The perfect time for him to leave, no results - no job, the Chelsea's rules are ruthless. But for me my club is not only a business, but it has a soul and a heart too. And for now we're lacking these.  So I feel betrayed by my own club. I was sold the dream that actually would never become a real one, because the plan was completely different from the start. You simply can't do this to your legend. Because we don't have more like him. Actually we will never have someone like him again.

thank you for the tutorials, what things should you include in your rules?

Rules are a big must have on your blog.  How you do it is up to you from using carrd,  google docs, a post that you pin, or a page but it is something that everyone is going to look for.  I’m someone that likes detailed rules with a bullet point system at top as well.  The reason I say this is because I’ve ad people that 1) don’t read rules 2) go IT”S NOT IN YOUR RULES even if it was a common thing to expect.  I will personally take a page that has three rules over no page at all.  This whole thing is very much a rough guide and you can pick and choose what you prefer to have on your rules page but hopefully this helps get your wheels turning inside of your head on what you want to add into your page.

 Your penname,  age,  timezone, and pronouns.  If you feel comfortable sharing ethnicity and place that you live in (state / country ) than put that there as well.  

Triggers:  How do you tag your triggering content?  remember that fancy tags with // or anything might not pick up on the blacklister.  Do you have any triggers yourself  (Please know there is a difference between a trigger and something that just makes you uncomfortable).

What content makes you uncomfortable and would prefer if you don’t be approached for plots like this.

Smutting:  Do you smut?  Are there any rules about smutting that go into place when it comes to this content?  Maybe you are someone that will only rp it on discord,  with close friends, etc.  Also a good time to mention if you use the read more feature and if you tag it  (Which you should tag it in my opinion).

Banned fcs:  Any faceclaims that you won’t write with?  You aren’t required to state the reason you won’t rp with a certain face on your rules doc. 

Banned characters / tv shows:  This is really helpful and for me as an example the show I would ban is 13reasonswhy for several reasons although I do believe the whole big excitement level for those has died down so having it in my rules isn’t needed for me personally.

DNI:  If you’ve had a bad experience with someone in the past I’ve seen people use one of these.  Do not interact is what DNI stands for.  This means if you are friends with, write with, etc then following this blog is a no go.  I have personally never used one of these 

OCS and Relationships with your character:  Are you fine with original characters? What makes you comfortable interacting with an original character?  The second part is really a good idea if you play a canon character to a tv show.  If you aren’t comfortable with something tell the document.  So say I’m playing Klaus Mikaelson and I’m uncomfortable with original character children that I have not heavily plotted with that would be there. 

Formatting:  How do you format your text?  Is there a certain aesthetic that gives you a headache?  Does aesthetic matter to you?

Threads:  Do you like certain thread lengths?  How about how long it takes for you to normally to write a response back?  Is there a type of thread you can’t do / don’t want to rp? For some people the idea of smutting is a turn off and won’t be written.  This can also really go in the smutting section as well if that is the case.  

What are you looking for in a partner:  Are you more into rping with people that match length?  What about the age limit of your partner? In the fandom that I’m in a lot of people are +20 meaning the comfort level is to only write with players that are 20 years old or above.  

Posting:  Is there a certain time of day that you will likely be posting in?  Is your blog queue based?  Do you post your replies as soon as you finish them? Tell everyone that sort of information if you feel it is needed.

Ask memes:  Are you a reblog from the source? Are you the type of person that prefers to have a plot before someone sends in a meme? How many memes is too many for a partner to send in at a time?

Credits:  Did you make your icons?  Did you make the psd? is there a base you use on something?  Did you borrow inspiration from another blog (with permission)? 

Contact information:  I’m not saying that you need to put your facebook information there,  a picture of yourself, or anything for that matter.  I’m talking ims,  discord, anything like that.  I often times just put my discord information right there because I’m not overly concerned with getting requests from strange people I haven’t followed back.  I put that when I add you that you should tell me who you are so I know.

Status:  Are you private? exclusive? mutuals only?  Not picky at all and will write with everyone?  Put that all here because it is helpful information to gather.

Mains and exclusives:  Who is a main for you? Who are you solely only ever going to write with this fc or character with?  How do you go about getting mains and exclusives?  Any rules on that to help someone know what is okay and what isn’t.

Currently looking to make a mini series full of questions, guides, and more to help people learn about the indie rp world.  If you have any questions,  requests,  etc feel free to drop them into my ask box.  Please note that this is just my opinion on things and from my experience and there is no right or wrong way to do this.  I’ve only ever written in the fandom / canon character fanbase but that still provides with a lot of information to help others. Been writing in the indie world of rp since at least 2013 and been on tumblr since 2012.

pardon me as i rant a lil bit bc i’m trying to get rid of uncomfy feels atm

so in ffxiv i have multiple alts alongside my main character and one of those alts happens to be an aymeric alt as i have very much love for that handsome elezen man. but regardless that isn’t the point. my aymeric alt got added to a fc and i was like “y’know what? why not?” and at first it seemed okay but they’ve long since shown their true colours. openly mocking people for doing things they like (that includes rpers) and using the “special snowflake” jokes alongside threatening ppl to ban them just bc they posted a gif in the main channel instead of a meme channel when the gifs weren’t even memes they were just reactionary gifs. oh and let’s not forget the whole calling people sensitive for being misgendered that was disgusting too. to add onto it the leader and the leader’s sister are rude as heck and push on rules for others that they don’t take into account themselves. i’d wanted to leave for a while but bc i’m just hesitant to touch the aymeric alt due to my own lack of skill in playing a tank but i finally did it tonight bc it was the last straw. this is honestly a pointless vent i just needed to get my uncomfortable feelings off my chest. i’m really lucky my main and my other alts have good fcs i’m just disappointed my aymeric alt got added to one full of toxic people.

i noticed you've talked about gleerp before and i just wanted to say they're letting the mercedes player use madison bailey as a fc.

..... It’s 2021 and we’re really roleplaying pedophilic content ( I mean it, they’ve got 14 year olds having sex on their dash. ) but we’re also using a skinny little twig for one of two of the only plus size characters? 

@gleerp, you do realize that Mercedes being a big girl is a huge part of her character, right? It’s not only a big part of her biography and why she’s in the Glee club aka a glee loser, but her experiences as a plus sized black woman have shaped her personality as well. 

I know people are more than just their body type or size, but the writers for Glee really leaned in hard on her weight for this character. And that’s okay!! It’s okay to have a plus size character that has story arcs about her being plus size. Anyone that has ever been plus size will tell you that it is vitally important to who they are as a person because of the way it changes their life experiences. Mercedes was the big girl that nobody took seriously because she was big. That was her whole season one arc. So what on earth?????????? Honestly, I consider this fatphobic. You’re really that afraid to have a fat person on your dash??????????? That you decide to make the only plus sized main character smaller than even the skinny canon girls? I would also like to mention that there is colorism involved here too. Amber Riley and Mercedes Jones are very dark skinned, beautiful black women. So why is your accepted fc choice so light skinned? You’re probably white and unaware, but even within the POC community, colorism is incredibly hurtful. A current example is one BTS member saying that another BTS member looks like the N word when he gets a tan. The preference has always been for lighter skin, whether you’re POC or white. Skin bleaching kits exist to tell us that we need to be as light as possible. There are derogatory terms for darker skin colors. Let dark skinned characters stay dark skinned to maintain the representation. Let plus sized characters remain plus sized to maintain the representation.

Next, you’re going to tell me that they have Unique Adams casted with Andy Biersack as the fc. (Kat Blaque is my fave face for her, just in case you were wondering) This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard in at least ten years. Admins allow bullshit like this and then wonder why nobody wants to deal with the grpc and the whole Glee cast and all Glee characters are on almost every single ban list for rps outside of our community. Do better.

Just a quick look at their acceptances and their masterlist and I am finding characters that are the wrong ethnicity! How fun! So we’re whitewashing at gleerp too. It’s really beginning to look like 2006 again as far as brain cells devoted to respecting other people and social decorum are concerned. A note to the admins, all Asians aren’t the same and/or interchangeable. Korean is not the same as Vietnamese is not the same as Japanese is not the same as Chinese. In addition, Mexican is not the same as Pilipino which is not the same as Puerto Rican which is not the same as Spanish and also not the same as Guatemalan. You can’t just interchange and swap out POC ethnicities or put POC of different ethnicities into bio families together for fun and say it’s okay because they’re still POC, that’s not how we work. Just a hot tip.

Have you done the math on how many players in the Colombian team are gay. There was that whole thing about a player getting banned from the team for being gay, right?

Oof. GOOD QUESTION!

It was a whole thing with Yoreli Rincon, who got banned over being outspoken about the state of affairs between the team and the federation, but there was a LOT of speculation that she got banned bc she was "too butch/gay".

To the meat of this though, I've never done the math because there are some players that a lot of us SUSPECT of being a BIT gay but like... Who knows. The only ones that are 100% confirmed that I know of are:

1. Yoreli Rincon, whose fiancee plays for the Venezuelan team and for Santa Fe.

And

2. Daniela Montoya, straight up one of the best midfielders to have come out of this team, she plays with her girlfriend in Junior de Barranquilla and they are adorable.

Now bc this is a South American team not everyone confirms they're out but I'm p sure about

1. Leicy Santos, who is the mother load of washboard abs. She plays for Atlético Madrid and honestly just... God help me, she's so hot

2. Catalina Usme, who I think still holds the record for the most goals in the NT. She plays for America de Cali and honestly her goals are MASTERPIECES.

3. Jessica Caro, Cata's teammate in America, also gives gay vibes and she's kickass as FUCK. Her legs bro? I'm gay.

4. Nicole Regnier who doesn't play for the NT anymore (or any team right now) but Imma add her here bc by God she's just... Oof.

5. Diana Ospina who plays for Medellin, is either a great jock or gay or both. But Imma count her.

6. Carolina Arias, recently traded to Atlético Madrid, has a WHOLE SLEEVE and BIG GAY VIBES and when she begins staying permanently in Spain I'm guessing she's gonna burst out in gay vibes and it'll be amazing.

7. Orianica Velasquez, plays for Junior (I think? She went to turkey for a while, and then she went to Medellin but 🤷‍♀️) is in the same boat as Diana Ospina but. Brah. It may be gay hope that she is gay but Imma hope anyways

8. CAPTAIN OH MY CAPTAIN, NATALIA GAITAN. She just has AMAZING soft butch vibes and like, she's a great leader, really driven (she was diagnosed with Leukemia when she was a kid, kicked cancer's ASS and then became captain of the NT. I love her), she was Valencia FC's captain and now plays for Sevilla FC with my next player on the list.

9. Look, I might just have a giant crush on Isabella Echeverri. Or I might want her to be dating Leicy. Either way she gives great lipstick lesbian/bi vibes and i really want her to smooch with Leicy and have wonderfully beautiful babies, okay? She plays for Sevilla FC and was just re-signed so I'm excited to see her with Nata!

Okay that's a LONG post with a lot of possible gays but like, this team just has that gay vibe about them? I also met a few of them when I was playing for my club when i lived in Colombia, so I know them a bit. Mainly though I just yearn for more gays in the NT and our league.

Hi Char! Whiteash, is a town like no other. Established in the 17th century, the town was forged in desperation. In order to protect the town from horrific events ever happening again, a council was formed. A representative from each species we chosen to sit on this council, watching over their species and protecting the town. We are starting out again and we would love an opinion!

Yo, what’s up! Alright so disclaimer, anything I say is just purely suggestions and my opinion so don’t take things to heart, my dudes! Tis below the cut!

Theme;

So for starters, theme is great, easy to navigate and I dig the colors ‘cause they’re not harsh on the eyes which is always a big plus for me. I’m not familiar with the theme code you’re using, but a small suggestion would be to use different shades of black just so it’s not all just...one block/full thing. Like maybe make the sidebar/description background a darker shade of black! Other than that, I dig the theme and finding the links to everything is easy af.

Plot;

I like a simple plot unlike most and that’s what y’all have. However, make sure you’re capitalizing names of towns/cities like Salem; The coven of witches was rivalled (should be rivaled ) only by the neighbouring village of salem (should be Salem ). And also go through everything with a fine comb to make sure no spelling errors are present; A representative from each species we (should be were ) chosen to sit on this council.. Again, proper capitalization is important; it (should be It ) has been recognised by Fae...

There are a few more grammatical errors in the plot, so I would suggest going through it again and make sure you catch everything! I would also include a summary as most RPG’s have those at the ending of their plots.

Rules/Guidelines;

Alright so I’m a big rule/guidelines kinda person and I’m gonna be honest, you guys are lacking in rules. There’s no mention of banned face claims, no mentioning of character age limit which is important as well, and given that you guys are a supernatural RPG, it’s also important to have an age limit on certain supernatural characters ie vampires and witches. So maybe adding something about those items would help give more of a rule page.

I would get rid of the somewhat hidden password. This isn’t indie RPing and even then people tend to be turned off by passwords. So ditch it and just trust that people have read the rules and will follow them to the best of their ability.

Sideblogs. They’re needed in an RPG so y’all got get over that and them being confusing. Either that or allow members to have multimuse blogs if they want to pick up all three characters. Only two real options to pick from my dudes.

Face Claim changes. This rule isn’t really needed or it can be simplified by just saying that people may change their character(s) face claim(s) maybe only once or twice and only after initialing interacting/threading has began. Other than that, you don’t need the bit on how this isn’t 2013 and some face claims have been deemed problematic, etc.

Picking up second characters/last rule really. “If you play an OC you will only be allowed to take up a second character, if that second character is a canon character.” I’ma be blunt, this is absolute bullshit. This isn’t 2013 anymore and even then shitting on original characters wasn’t cool back then either. So maybe don’t restrict those that choose to write only original characters as it’s a big ole dick move and don’t reflect all that great on you as admins/an RPG. All members should be allowed to pick up three characters if it is stated in your rules. It shouldn’t matter if they write an original character or not. Either everyone can pick up three characters or no one can.

Make a checklist so people know what to do, what tags to follow, etc. instead of including it in the rules because they’re not rules, not one bit. So a checklist would include these tags whiteashstart, whiteashfol, whiteashunfol, whiteashev, whiteashnotice as well as blogroll, maybe mentioning when/how long they have to post an intro, or respond to or make a starter. Those kinda of things.

Other pages;

The Council: Again with the password. Get rid of them all, guys. No one likes them, they turn people off from joining / wanting to even continue to read. Other than that, that’s all solid business, could maybe reword some stuff to make it flow better but eh. It’s all good.

Species Pages: Shifters are fine, maybe explain a little bit more about them like whether or not they can shift at will, on the full moon, or both. Vampires; make it clear that they’re using/borrowing True Blood’s vampire lore and also actually link people to the wiki page so they don’t have to google it themselves. Werewolves; y’all are using True Blood werewolf lore, so state that as well and link people up. Witch and fae pages are fine. Ghosts; explain their abilities if they really have any. And again, go through your pages and make sure you have correct grammar in place.

Application: Given that you are a supernatural RPG, you should have different apps for all the supernatural beings or an option in your current app for people to state whether or not they’re a supernatural being or human.

Wanted Face Claims: Make sure you have a title with the actors name when someone hovers over the icon as not most people know an actors name just by looking at their face. I would also suggest sticking to one icon for place holders as it’s confusing with all the different ones; makes you wonder if they’re such and such actor or not.

Last little notes;

I would change the “Posts” link to “Rules” as it’s better to have your rules included in the main links so that people aren’t having to go to the complete navigation to find them.

In your rules you guys mentioned para samples but are using the “appless rp” tag. So it would be best to go through your rules and revise them so that there isn’t any confusion on that front.

Seeing as the admins have mascots, I would mention that in the rules that those face claims are not to be used as to keep from confusing the admins posts with members characters.

Banned face claims list. I...banned face claims are meant to make sure people don’t use problematic fc’s or fc’s that people are uncomfortable with. The whole retried character thing doesn’t really warrant said fc’s to be on a banned list. Also claiming a lack of resources doesn’t warrant a ban either as most RPG’s are okay with members having a limited number of gif icons or going completely iconless. So, just some food for thought.

I would include all the links you have on your mobile navigation on your actual navigation as well. Because having two separate navigation’s is confusing and a sure fire way to have people mess up and be misinformed.

So yea, you guys got a lot of work to do and I would advise holding off on opening and accepting applications until you go through and make sure there are no spelling errors, correct words used, and everything else I’ve suggested if you so choose to take my advice. Once again, this was all just my opinion and I wish y’all luck!

Hey nonners. I definitely understand your confusion, and I’m more than happy to explain right beneath the cut.

The short answer to your question is at this point, no, Finn would not be considered for a faceclaim swap, namely because we already have a Finn using Cory as a faceclaim, which is not a secret. It’s on the characters page and on the quick follow to the right. I asked the people who joined in the beginning if they were comfortable with it, they all said yes, and everyone who has joined since then has…well, joined, so I figure they’re all alright with it as well. I’ve said it a gazillion times in the ooc - if anyone in-game is uncomfortable or upset about anything, please tell me and I’ll do my best to make it right.

Even if we didn’t have a Finn, though, I’d be reluctant to allow a change, unless the person applying was deeply distraught. I do not believe in the groupthink that can come along with the grpc deciding this face or that is #banned or #cancelled - and even if I did, no two fc bans are created equal. I’ve more or less made up my ow mind about what I’m comfortable with, and what I will engage with, and what I’m comfortable accepting into my little bubble and my little game.

What I mean to say, in no uncertain terms:

Cory Monteith, Mark Salling and Naya Rivera are not the same. 

It is incredibly, incredibly disrespectful of Cory’s memory to even so much as imply otherwise. I’ve had friends, family and family of friends go through mental illness, go through addiction of various kinds, and I’m here to say: it is not the same as abusing someone, which both Mark and Naya did (and in Naya’s case, yes, the charges were dropped, but if I’m still mad about Emma Roberts and Evan Peters, I’m still gonna be mad about Naya). Naya, I’m always a little on the fence about, especially because there’s a shortage of people who can work with her ethnicity and whole, y’know, attitude, but the point remains.

Mark and Naya hurt people. They hurt children. This is not okay.

Cory was sick. Cory was trying to get better. He didn’t.

Some people honor his memory by not using him as a faceclaim, and that’s fine. To each their own, we all grieve and love in different ways. That’s not the way I choose to honor Cory Monteith and Finn Hudson. I choose to honor him by remembering him. By making sure nobody forgets the good Cory did, and the incredibly awkward, bumbling, big-hearted boy Finn was. I want to keep his memory alive. The thing about recasting Glee characters - and I’m not sure if it’s the same for other fandoms, since for better or worse I live here - is that so much of the character is in their physicality. Rachel is short and has a nose and crippling self-worth issues compared to the ‘pretty girls’ and tiny boobs. Artie’s in a wheelchair. Tina stuttered. Finn is tall, doofy, gentle(ish, unless there’s chairs involved). Finn is an entirely different person when you throw someone like…I don’t know, KJ Apa into the role or whoever it is we’re trying to make fit Finn’s particular box nowadays. That’s no shade to KJ, either, because I’ve seen it work and seen it work well before, but it’s not just a matter of using different gifs - it never has been, but in my experience it is so much harder to find the right voice when the face doesn’t match. When the face isn’t the character. I’ve spent literal hours poring over fc directories, looking up gifhunts, begging creators to make gifs for this and that faceclaim, and it’s such a rare thing to find a non-canon face that actually feels like the character, at least for me. I’ve done it, like, twice, maybe, and I’ve been in this community since 2015 (yikes).

Anyway. I told myself from the jump that if I got a Finn app that blew me away that wanted to use a different faceclaim, at the writer’s request, I’d allow it. Our wonderful, wonderful Finn player chose to use Cory Monteith, as God and Ryan Murphy intended, and I swear, every single time I see him on the dash, it makes me happy and fuzzy on the inside. Because it helps me remember that he was here, that he was part of this thing we all loved. It helps me remember Cory. And like, I was never a big Finn or Cory stan. Finn was fine, sure, but he had some #yikes moments and I was too busy frothing at the mouth over klaine to ever pay as much attention to Finchel as other people did, and at that point I didn’t know anything or care to know anything about the cast.

I still cried for literally a whole entire day when he passed away. Like, cancelled plans to weep. My mom and I were trying to watch Glee at the time and she asked, so gently, if I still wanted to watch it, and I said yes. I cried every time he was on screen, and it hurt, but in a good way, because here, look, he was still with us, this way. It’s too hard to look at someone being a way and know they’re not that way anymore. I get it. I really do.

It’s just - I don’t know, nons. I don’t know what else to tell you. It’s a personal decision and everybody’s entitled to their own take on it. As far as I know, no one in game has an issue with it, and if you do, if it would genuinely upset you to be in a game with Cory Monteith’s face, that’s perfectly understandable, and I can guarantee that there are many, many games out there who do use a different face or don’t have Finn at all, if that’s what you prefer. That’s not what I prefer. I’d love to have you - and anyone reading this - join SYF, but not at the expense of firstly an existing player and character in game, and not at the cause of ‘others’. If it’s you - especially if you’re someone in game already - that’s fine. That’s one thing. If it’s just vague people who may or may not feel a type of way, then…I’m sorry, I’m not going to choose potential people being hurt over existing people being happy.
