my favorite sports team¹ lost a very important game² and now I need lots of pets³ :(
¹ The Colorado Avalanche (formerly Quebec Nordiques) are an NHL⁴ franchise located in Denver, Colorado. They have won the NHL championship⁵ three times, most recently in 2022.
²The NHL playoffs⁶ are conducted via a series of 4 7-game rounds, with the winner of each round advancing to the next. The game in question was game 7 of the first round. By losing, the Colorado Avalanche have been eliminated.⁷

emergency bracket meeting
hello gamers. moments ago Lapin v Pinocchio closed, and it's the most hogwild competition this bracket has seen so far on a couple of levels.
in the first place, this is by far the closest any vote has been. most polls establish a clear winner pretty early on, but this one was neck and neck pretty much the entire time.
secondly: this poll got, like, an INSANE number of votes.
for comparison, the next most-engaged poll was Kristen v Squak, with 838 votes that don't look nearly as impressive next to this.
this brings me to our question:
do we let both of them continue to round 2?
if we do we'll have an odd number of competitors going into the round, which means I'll need another PC to even it out. the obvious choice is Amethar, since Amethar v Rue tied almost as closely as Pinocchio and Lapin (although with less than half as many votes). so if Pinocchio gets to advance, it makes the most logical sense that Amethar does as well. (huge day for Lou Wilson fans.)
there aren't any other pairs that were NEARLY as close, so I won't be entertaining any other suggestions for PCs that should advance even though I, too, was deeply wounded when Ostentatia lost to Ylfa.
to make it as clear as possible: I am willing to let Pinocchio into round 2 if y'all want that, but he goes then Amethar does as well. the decision now is up to you:
this poll is only running for a crisp 24 hours so as not to delay the round 2 launch, so don't deliberate too long!

A primer on the UEFA Champions League for the Ted Lasso fandom
In the finale, we’re told several times that Richmond have qualified for the Champions League. If you have only a very vague idea of what that means, this is the post for you.
WHAT IS IT?
The Champions League (UCL) is a club competition among top-league European clubs. It draws clubs from the top leagues of ALL* countries members of UEFA, the governing body of football associations in Europe. (*All countries except Liechtenstein and, currently, Russia)
WHEN IS IT?
The UCL runs alongside the regular season, from September to June. This means that clubs who compete in it play UCL matches on top of regular Premier League matches. Richmond weren’t “promoted” to the Champions League — they remain first and foremost a Premier League club. They also get to play with the rest of Europe’s cool kids.
UCL matches would be mid-week (Tuesday or Wednesday) every 3-ish weeks, and domestic league matches would usually be on weekends. YES this will mean that Richmond will be very busy next season.
WHICH CLUBS ARE IN IT?
The top 4 clubs in the Premier League automatically make it to the main competition for the NEXT round of the UCL. The path is a bit more complicated for most other countries but luckily it doesn’t apply here so we don’t need to go into that.
Richmond finished in second place in the League for the year 21/22 (season 3) so they’d play in the UCL for the 22/23 season. This doesn’t mean they are guranteed to still play in the UCL in the 23/24 season if they can’t end the 22/23 Prem in the Top 4. They need to REMAIN a top national club to qualify again for the Champions League.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
GROUP STAGE: a round-robin round where 32 teams are divided in 8 groups of 4. Each team in each group plays the other teams in the group twice, once at home (hosting) once away (being hosted) for a total of SIX matches. The top TWO sides in each group advance to the knockout round. This stage takes place from August to December. Richmond would enter directly from this round.
KNOCKOUT ROUND: this round is in double-legged format—this means that each paired sides play each other TWICE, once at home and once away. The round winner is decided by goal difference, so a side can advance to the next round if they lose one of the two matches, provide they win the other by a larger goal difference. If both legs are a draw, there can be extra time and/or a penalty shootout.
In the round of 16 sides from the same country CAN’T play against each other, so for example Richmond couldn’t play Arsenal in that round. In the quarter-final (8 teams) and a semifinal (4 teams) rounds teams from the same country CAN draw each other, so that could happen.
For example, in the current season, AC Milan played Napoli in the quarter-final and then Inter Milan in the semifinals; all three teams are from Italy. The double-legged knockout round takes place from February to May.
FINAL: It’s in June. The two teams who remain standing after the semifinals only play each other ONCE. The location is appointed beforehand and it’s often neutral ground to both teams. The next UCL final will actually be this Saturday (June 10) Man City v. Inter Milan will play in Istanbul.
how many matches in a UCL season?
If you make it to the semifinals, it’s 6 in group stage + 6 in the 3 successive knockout rounds. This is 12 matches, of which 6 are away (and usually abroad) The final is the 13th match.
What does it mean to win the Champions League?
The UCL is considered the most prestigious club competition in the world. We see in in the show; Roy having won the UCL with Chelsea in 2012 comes up several times in S1, even though Chelsea also won the Premier League multiple times while Roy was there — but the Champions League is the one people bring up.
Winning the domestic league is obviously a big fucking deal, but winning the UCL is huge. Only a handful of top-league clubs have won it multiple times, and many big clubs have NEVER won it (including Man City, PSG, Arsenal and AS Roma) Then there’s Real Madrid who’ve won it FOURTEEN TIMES

Group Stage Stats and Standings
With two out of three rounds of the group stage complete, here's a summary of where things currently stand. Remember, there are two ways to qualify for the championship bracket - winning a group (10 characters), and having the most total votes without winning a group (6 characters). By receiving enough votes, any character in the tournament could still technically qualify for one of the six wildcard slots.
First, these tables show standings by group. Purple indicates the group leader (by number of wins; ties broken by number of votes) and red indicates a character who has been locked out of winning their group. Note that since Rain Flaherty and Lucas in Group A have been in three matches rather than two, their vote totals are multiplied by 2/3 to allow a fair comparison.
Next are standings by total number of votes. Group leaders are in purple, and the leaders for the six wildcard championship slots are in blue.
The last batch of group stage polls will go up later this week. Until then, if you're interested in more stats, I've put them beneath the cut because there are Many.
The main reason I decided to have this tournament start with a group stage is that I think it's fairer to the characters (more on that later), but I'd be lying if I denied that More Stats was also a contributing factor. To begin with, here are the total number of votes by group (Group A adjusted as noted earlier):

All four characters are currently set to advance to the championship bracket - Gaueko and Davepeta as group winners, and Penny and Carla via wildcard slots.
Something interesting I noticed the other day is that the nine top-ranked characters by vote count all got there in part by facing each other:
In Group H, Dainix (#1) faced Zhusen (#2) in the first round and White Chain (#5) in the second round
In Group B, Lucy Marlowe (#4) faced Eddie Kaspbrak (#5) in the first round
In Group J, Carla Rutten (#6) faced Davepeta (#9) in the first round
In Group F, Penny Spender (#7) faced Gaueko (#8) in the second round
These are the same five matchups that had both the most votes and the most notes. All five of them were reblogged by at least one of their characters' creators. And all but one of the nine characters received more votes - often several times more - facing their highest-ranked opponent than facing their lowest-ranked opponent:
Lucy Marlowe - 8.3x (1,065 vs 128)
Davepeta - 4.1x (598 vs 145)
Gaueko - 2.3x (522 vs 225)
Zhusen - 2.3x (1,673 vs 724)
Eddie Kaspbrak - 2.1x (804 vs 375)

This seems to indicate popular characters actually benefit from facing each other, especially taking into account that the championship bracket will be seeded by total number of votes. Of the six characters currently holding a wildcard qualification slot, five of them are ranked in the top seven qualifiers overall.
On the flip side, these are the characters with the most nominations who don't currently qualify for the championship:
Cheryl (Group E) - 8
Rain Flaherty (Group A) - 8
Teige Carroll (Group I) - 7
Lucas (Group A) - 6
Of the fourteen characters who received five or more nominations, ten are currently slated to advance. The remaining six current qualifiers received either three or four nominations each.
These characters have received the most votes so far without winning a match:
Merlow the Rose (Group G) - 262
Cheryl (Group E) - 244
Rosemaster (Group D) - 235
And these are the characters who have the fewest votes while winning both of their matches:
Yoshi (Group I) - 156
Luck (Group A) - 179
Vaarsuvius (Group I) - 200
Elle Argent (Group A) - 285
Group A and Group I are the only groups with two undefeated characters who will face off in the final round, and the only groups in which number of votes had to be used as a tiebreaker to determine the current group leader.
Vaarsuvius has the lowest number of votes of any character currently winning their group. While there's only a difference of 85 votes between Elle Argent and Vaarsuvius, there are quite a few characters between them - Elle is ranked 15th, while V is ranked 27th. V is the only character currently slated to advance over other characters with more votes.
One of the dangers of a round-robin format is a match in the final round between two characters with a 0-2 record, both of whom have already been locked out of winning their group. That will only happen once here, between Teige Carroll and Eri McCure in Group I.
Finally, here's a piece of etymology I learned while preparing for the tournament: The "robin" in "round robin" has nothing to do with the bird or with the English given name. Instead, the term originated from the French phrase "ruban rond," meaning "round ribbon," but over time "ruban/ribbon" was idiomized to "robin."

THE NFL RPF SHIP BRACKET
Welcome! Here lies a March Madness-style tournament bracket for NFL ships, in the form of Tumblr polls. All methodology for picking and sorting ships done by @kdsburneraccount.
How Does This Work?
On each poll, two NFL ships will be presented. Pick the one that you like more. The one that wins will advance onto the next round, to be polled against another ship. Reblog with propaganda for your ship, if you so choose.

Format (it's basically like a March Madness tournament):
First Four - four polls will be posted to this blog, and the winners of those polls will gain entry into the main seeding of each of the four pods.
Essentially, there are a total of 68 ships in the running. Four will be eliminated in the First Four, and then it will be a 64-part tournament. The ships have been split up into four pods: 1, 2, 3, 4, with each member of a pod being seeded 1 to 16 based on the amount of fic they have, and each matchup being high to low: 1 v. 16, 2 v. 15, and so forth. The winner of Pod 1 will face the winner of Pod 4, and the winner of Pod 2 will face Pod 3.
What Was the Methodology?
Since the creator of this bracket was only one person, there will be flaws in this methodology. One person cannot be the NCAA selection committee, after all.
Essentially: seeding was based on the number of fics for each ship. Pairings with threesomes, non-NFL players, or non-standalone fics only were not included in the picking of these ships. The ships with one fic were chosen based on the creator remembering a fic for the specific pairing, and are a result of not wanting to include 100+ ships in this bracket.
What Are the Pods?
Pairings highlighted in yellow are seeded but could potentially be eliminated in the First Four.
Is There a Schedule for This?
Not really, the First Four polls will be up for one day (this might change). Then the First Round polls will be made, and those will probably last for a week. Open to suggestions though, since I fear some of these early round matchups are quite "coughing baby vs. hydrogen bomb," if you catch my drift.

Kim thinks this is a terrible idea, but Chay and P’Mod both overruled his vote.
This is meant to be a fun meet and greet birthday event to celebrate with the fans, both in person, and for those watching on a live stream. Kim can’t really say he’s having fun, but Chay is here with him, and Chay is having fun. So Kim is, at the very least, content and happy.
Chay had somehow talked his stylists into putting them in matching outfits.
Kim has on a glittering black jumpsuit with silver embroidery that clings to his skin. It’s kind of annoying, but the constellations and planets sparkle every time the fabric shifts with each of his movements, and he wants to wear this home to see if the kittens will chase him if he darts around the room.
Chay is in a glittering gold jumpsuit with black embroidery, weaving a garden of sunflowers across Chay’s body. Kim has to recant his earlier opinion of the fabric. The way the material clings to Chay’s arms and chest lets Kim appreciate how his boyfriend has been filling out lately. This is not annoying at all.
Kim and Chay had played a few songs for the fans at the start of the event. Some of his own songs, some covers, and as a special treat, they spoiled the chorus of a duet they’re currently working on.
P’Mod and Chay wouldn’t tell Kim in advance what the main fan-interactive event would be, but he had seen the words “WiKed Wits” being thrown around during the planning process and online – although Chay had forbidden him from reading about it online.
So here Kim is now, sitting on a stool next to Chay and trying not to give into his urge to run away.
“We’re having a battle of the wits!” Chay beams at the crowd. “The rules are simple. Under your seat you’ll find a number. We’ll be calling contestants up by lottery. If you get called up, you and I will have a WiK trivia showdown!”
“This is rigged!” yells a fan as the room bursts out into laughter.
“Ah,” Chay rolls his eyes, “let me finish! First one to hit the buzzer answers. If you answer the question wrong, the other person gets to answer to try and steal the point. The first one to get three points wins.”
Kim looks around, but he doesn’t see any prizes. Oh, no.
Chay winks at Kim. “Winner gets to request Wik to make any pose for a photo!”
Kim leans towards Chay and pulls on Chay’s wrist to bring the mic to his face, “Why does this just sound like a punishment game for me?”
The grin Chay gives Kim does not appease Kim at all.
Chay brushes Kim’s hair behind his ear and leans closer to Kim, their lips only separated by the mic in Chay’s hand. “This part of the event is a gift for the fans.”
Kim is too busy staring into Chay’s eyes to notice the screaming around him, but he does notice when P’Mod’s hand is suddenly pushing his face away from Chay’s and the quiet “for fuck’s sake” that brings him back to reality.
Chay doesn’t win every round (some of his fans have very quick reflexes), but his fan’s ideas of punishments need some work. Other than a few cat poses that he’s a little embarrassed about, most of them asked him to hug or kiss Chay?
He’s not really sure why they’d want a photo of that as their gift, but people are hard to understand.

Hungarian Hooligan
The 23rd match day
Viktor had been living in Debrecen for almost a week now. He had been unable to turn down the offer of a job as a department manager at his employer's Hungarian engine factory. He had been employed as a graduate engineer for almost ten years now, so this was finally a chance to advance his career. And Hungary wasn't wrong. When he got homesick, it wasn't far to his Bavarian home. And the city made a nice impression, too. His first weekend away was coming up, the weather was too cold and damp for the time of year, so after a short walk Viktor took shelter in a corner pub. The pub was packed. People in soccer shirts, with fan scarves and caps. He had obviously stumbled into the pub of a fan club of the local soccer team. Soccer… well, interested him only a little. In his hometown, he had occasionally joined in the celebrations when Bayern Munich had once again become German champions. But otherwise he cared less about sports. Neither actively, nor passively… But here it carried away him somehow. The waiter had put a beer in front of him without being asked, and one of the guests toasted him. And between cheers and groans a conversation developed. Somewhat sluggishly in English. But towards the end of the second half, Viktor was able to slip in a few words of Hungarian. It had been a very exciting game. Debreceni VSC had won 0:1 away. Viktor was cheering with the other guests. Someone had put a fan scarf on him. And the host gave a local round.
The 24th match day
Viktor had been looking forward to Saturday all week. Since moving to Debrecen a year ago, he had attended almost every home game at the stadium. His employer had a number of business seats in the stadium. And the winner of the internal betting round always got a seat for the next home game. Viktor may not have been the greatest expert. But when he stopped at his favorite pub for a beer in the evening after his jog, he always read the sports paper carefully. And it often helped him snag one of the coveted tickets. His buddies, with whom he watched the away games in the pub, usually turned up their noses because there were only snobs sitting in the business seats. But Viktor enjoyed the atmosphere and the closeness to his superiors. This could only be supportive for his career.
The game today was a disaster. 1:2 lost against the current second in the table. The score was still 0:0 at halftime. Viktor could hardly stand the cheering of the fans of the opposing team. The only thing that helped was drinking in frustration after the final whistle.
The 25th matchday
Today Viktor didn't get any tickets for the Sunday home game. Of course, he had also tried to get tickets on the black market, but he had had no luck. So he had to watch the game in his pub. After all, it went great against Vasas, the last team in the table. 3:1! This meant that his club climbed to fourth place. In the jubilation, Viktor got a beer shower. His jersey was soaking wet. But he was happy!
The 26th match day
The away game was in Mezokovesd not far from his home. Normally, Viktor would have carpooled with a few pals from his gym. But going by train with the other fans was much more fun. They tuned into the game with loud heavy metal from Symmetry Of The Void. The police separated them from the local fans already at the station. The mood was testy, Mezőkövesd-Zsóry SE was definitely on the heels of its club. A victory was important. And even though it didn't look like it for a long time, Meldin Drešković scored the redeeming goal shortly after the start of the second half. The fan block cheered. Chants of abuse began from the opposite side. Viktor, for his part, joined the chorus of his club. The first bengalos were set off. The mood threatened to tip over. And Viktor and his lads were looking forward to a proper brawl.
The 27th matchday
Home matchday. The fifth in the table meets the fourth in the table. Viktor had finished work early that Friday. Before the game he had worked out for an hour on the punching bag. He wanted to be in shape for the game. He had fought hard for his place in the Ultras' fan block and naturally wanted to keep it. He had been in the city for four years now and was an ardent admirer of his club. Right after graduation, he had been given the chance to move to Debrecen. He had never regretted it. He fevered with his club. He fought for the honor of his club after the games. And for that he kept himself fit with boxing training. Viktor laced up his boots tightly and tucked his gloves into the back pocket of his jeans. Whatever happened today, he was prepared.
It wasn't until the fourth minute of stoppage time that the opponent's goal came. Viktor was beside himself. The police tried their best to prevent an escalation. But it was a matter of honor not to let the opposing fan block go home unscathed.
The 28th match day
His friends had long called Viktor only Gyözö. The Hungarian variant of his name. And indeed, Viktor also felt rather Hungarian. Here he had graduated, here he had his circle of friends. He and his pals had already taken the fan bus to Zalaegerszeg on Friday afternoon. And they had partied the weekend away. There had already been one or two brawls. And it became apparent that it would also go off today properly. After the first goal for his team in the first half, Gyözö had made every effort to heat up the atmosphere. And after the 0:2 lead in the second half, he had an easy time stirring up the hatred of the opposing fan block. While still on his way out, he put in his mouth guard and put on his gloves.
The 29th match day
Finally, summer arrived. Géza loved to fire up the Ultra fan block with his bare upper body. He wore his tattoos with great pride. If they won today, they could finish third in the league. But Géza didn't really care. His name meant winner. And that was what he wanted to be today. Gladly in the stadium. But more importantly on the street in the fight against the cursed fans from Székesfehérvár.

I'm back from Elriel month with this piece to contribute to #cassianappreciationweek2023, hope you like it!

The sun was shining brightly in the sky as Cassian hung his sword back on the wall. Training at the House of Wind had been going rather well, with a record number of priestesses showing up for training, and Az had found some time off from whatever tasks Rhys had assigned him to assist with teaching. Az was as broody as ever, his usual quiet demeanor never failing and the air of sadness and mystery that clung to him like an inescapable mist that had been with him since the day they first met way back in the Illyrian training camps still thick in the air. But he had Nesta now, and that made everything okay. Cassian still couldn't believe that he had found his mate. When they were boys, his brothers would always laugh and joke around with him about someday finding a mate, none of them ever believing it would actually happen. But somehow, for some reason, the Mother and the Cauldron and whatever gods dwelt above had smiled down upon him and blessed him with his beautiful Nesta.
As his thoughts swirled around her, as though summoned, Nesta appeared behind him. She was dressed in her black leathers, hair tied in a braided bun atop her head, looking stunning and regal even though she was covered in sweat and blood. He didn't turn to look at her, knowing she was taking her time to admire his shirtless form, which he certainly wasn't going to complain about. He made himself appear busy fixing weapons on the walls, flexing his wings and muscles perhaps just a little more than necessary.
At last, when he couldn't find anything else to pretend to do, he turned around, smirking as he noted her eyes fixed intently upon him.
"See anything you like, sweetheart?" he asked.
"Your tattoos...what do they mean? I know they came after you had completed the Blood Rite, but you never actually told me what they mean," Nesta replied.
Well. Of all the things he was expecting her to ask, that was not one of them. He enjoyed talking about them, though, as anyone else likes to boast about themselves, so he gestured for her to take a seat as he sat down next to her on one of the benches. Everyone else had gone by this point, so it was just him and her.
"All of them mean different things. This one-" he pointed to a symbol that resembled fire, "is for courage. This is given to all those who win the Tournament of Champions."
"Tournament of Champions?"
This was clearly news to Nesta, though that shouldn't have surprised him given her lack of time around Illyria.
"It's a huge tournament hosted once every 20 years, and it falls just before the Blood Rite on the year it happens. Participation isn't mandatory, but nearly everyone does both for bragging rights and the fact they get to beat up other people with no consequences."
If Cassian was honest with himself, he applied largely for the latter, wanting the ability to attack, bruise, and scar all those who had mocked him or bullied him with the assurance that there was nothing they could do to stop him.
"It was held over a 3 day period, everyone breaking off into pairs of two to spar, the victor advancing to the next round. Az and Rhys both elected not to compete, Az due to his hatred of all our customs and Rhys because he was away with the High Lord doing some important thing or another. Anyway, I won the tournament, and the winner gets the tattoo to prove it."
He glanced at Nesta, wondering if perhaps she had zoned out, or had fixed that hawk-eyed stare upon him expressing her displeasure at what she would call behaviour of "Illyrian pigs". However, she appeared greatly intrigued by his stories.
"How fascinating. And this one?"
The one she pointed to resembled one of his favourite constellations, the bow and arrow.
"That one I won after killing a beast that roamed across the mountains. No one is quite sure what it is or where it came from, just that every year it appears, striking camps and slaying villagers. Whoever could finally kill it would win eternal glory. When I was 33, it emerged near our camp. I had been awake all night, I think I was fighting with some idiot over the proper way to hold a spear. Anyway, I heard screaming coming from outside the camp, and ran out with all the others, and there it was. Some call it the Daemonium, but most do not speak its name in fear of summoning it. It stole 6 of the guards away and disappeared off to its cave, and we all knew the hunt was on.
"Most waited at the entrance to its lair, at their demise. It sits at the very edge of a high mountain containing a very gradual slope covered in sharp rocks. Every year we are warned never to wait there, lest it creep up and throw us into them so we may never fly or walk again, but every year there are that large group of idiots who either think they're greater than centuries of others or had one too many drinks or got a dare from someone who despised them, and like clockwork another group was slain. But I did not go there. The monster had to drink, I figured, and so I traced its path from the sky to the river. And there I saw my opportunity."
He took this moment to glance briefly at Nesta, who to his delight and pride was staring, completely transfixed by his tale. He hadn't really had anyone to boast about it to, since he'd already told the story to his family a thousand times and all the Illyrians already knew, but something about telling his mate about his greatest accomplishments made all of the suffering to get them worth it.
"This one-" he pointed to a tattoo that he told everyone was a great mighty beast from myths, deciding that for the first time in his life he would be truthful about it, "this one is a unicorn." Nesta raised an eyebrow at him.
"Rhys, Az and I all got really drunk one night and whoever lost a game of cards had to get the winner's choice marked on them. Azriel, that cheating bastard, I swear used his shadows to change the cards around and see what we all had, but he smashed us by a mile. He made me get a unicorn, likely knowing that I would have to explain what it was to everyone who saw me without a shirt on. Luckily, I can say it was designed after some great beast and nobody questions it."
"These," he waved a calloused hand at the majority of the ink lines that swirled across the planes of his chest, "as you already know, are the markings that those who champion the Blood Rite at our level receive. After it's over, the festivities are immense. All of Windhaven is filled with food and music and games and pretty females and pretty much anything a male could want. Those who made it to Oristian or higher receive a place of honour. Devlon and the other pricks weren't happy that we made it but they didn't really have a choice but to let us in. Rhys' father was thrilled, of course, and his mother treated all of us like her own children. Even Az's mother had been allowed some time out of work to come and see him. I think that was the happiest I've ever seen him, when he was covered in dirt, blood, sweat, and gods only know what else, barely cling on to life, and his mother that he hadn't seen in year came and hugged him." Cassian would deny it if anyone asked, but a small tear appeared in his eye thinking about it. Az hardly every smiled, but he was beaming ear to ear then.
"There's a few other ones on here, one's a bargain with Mor over something stupid from 2 centuries ago, a few are various lucky symbols, none of them particularly important."
"What about this one?" Nesta ran her finger along a design that went from the palm of his hand, circled his wrist, and ended atop his shoulder.
That one was Cassian's favourite, and he had deliberately saved it for last, hoping she would ask about it.
"It's a bond between myself, Rhys, and Az. We made it right before the Blood Rite began. Very few people help others during it, as it's a very cutthroat competition, but we made a pact so that we would always be able to find each other. It worked, too, even though they threw us all in different parts of the forest by the third day we were all together again. And after the Rite, we made an official bargain: we swore never to turn our backs on each other, and that no matter what happened or who came or left our lives, we would always be together, our bond stronger than that of any biological brothers."
Nesta smiled at him, and the bond sang between them. He loved making her smile.
"Thank you for sharing these with me. They tell such a beautiful story. The long and complex tale of my mate."
He smiled, and said, "Are you calling me old?"
"Yes. I am. I'm also saying that you need to go fix that shelf I asked you to, or that long and complex tale will be coming to an end very, very shortly," Nesta snapped, perhaps fearing she had been a little too soft.
"I do love it when you threaten me, Nesta darling," Cassian responded calmly, and they both walked off together.
