Trying to get back into putting words onto a page, so why not do a bit of retrospective? Can't hurt, at least, lmao.

For anyone that isn't aware or would like to browse tags and summaries before clicking the direct links below, I am Pandelion on Ao3. My answers below are based on my Ao3 fics, for the most part. 1. How many works do you have on AO3? 35

2. What's your total AO3 word count? 207,935 (arguably, only 150k are mine due to cowritten fic)

3. What fandoms do you write for? Bleach and Yin Yang Master most recently, but I've previously written for SPN, MCU, Teen Wolf, LoTR and a number of other fandoms over the last almost twenty years.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

1. Begins A New Beginning (Teen Wolf, 3.2k words, alternate canon)

2. The Captain And The Dragon (Avengers, 600 words, fantasy AU ficlet)

3. kiss with a fist (better than none) (Bleach, 5.5k words, canon divergent post-Aizen)

4. Here There Be Dragons (Vikings, 6.4k words, alt. canon, dragon!Athelstan)

5. Making It Work (Avengers, 5.2k words, daemon AU where Phil Coulson is Fury's daemon)

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? I try to and I absolutely read every single comment I get, but answering them doesn't always happen for one reason or another.

6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I enjoy a good spot of angst, but I rarely end on it. That said, i will not replace (what i lost in you) and it's sequel hands shaking with regret (i've held this dream) for the Yin Yang Master fandom is probably the winner.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Hmm, probably 'neath the love-light gleam, which was written for a Bleach Secret Santa gift exchange and is almost entirely fluff.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Haven't yet!

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? The kind that doesn't get posted in public fics lmao. Honestly, I think only 2 or 3 of the fics I've posted to Ao3 even have sexual content beyond like, kissing and holding hands. The one fic that is actually marked as Explicit is probably surprisingly non-vanilla-ish for being the only one I've posted? But yeah, most of my explicit writing happens outside of Ao3.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? I was going to say yes, but then realized that I haven't written an actual crossover since my LJ days. I usually write AUs based on other existing media, such as daemon AUs (His Dark Materials) or something like my rewriting of The Mummy (1999) with Bleach characters. That said, I once wrote a SPN/Gundam Wing crossover, that's probably the craziest one I've written.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I'm aware of!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? I have! One of my fics was translated into Polish last year. I don't read Polish, so I haven't been able to read it, but I'm super thrilled that someone liked it enough to do so!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? I have one fic listed as co-written on Ao3, so technically yes, but I'm really on there more as part of the back-end development side, as my cowriter has done the vast majority of the actual writing. I love to rp, but actually co-writing is more difficult, in a way.

14. What's your all-time favorite ship? Oh man, um. I'm going to say Grimmjow/Ichigo from Bleach, since their dynamic keeps pulling me back in, but honestly there are so many pairings that I gravitate back to again and again.

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? There are so many WIPs in my gdocs that will never see the light of day, honestly. So many snippets of ideas and concepts that won't get fleshed out. I have two WIPs currently posted and I'm praying to get the inspiration/ability to finish them, so hopefully they won't join the list of never to be finished fics.

16. What are your writing strengths? World-building, for sure. I love settings, I love developing and establishing a world in a fic. And not in the, like, writing down all the details of the world sort of way, but in the broad strokes of character actions and interactions. I've also been told that my general style of writing is pretty great, but that might have been from a biased source lmao.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Pacing, most likely. Plot of any real sort. If you look at my Ao3, the vast majority of my fics are 5k or under, usually under 3k or so. I have such a hard time with long form fic, I have no idea how to properly pace things, I don't use outlines much at all, and constructing a plot is hard lmao. I much prefer to give little oneshots of a concept or something, leave the bigger plot implied and waiting in the wings.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? So hard! Doing a direct translation works for some things, but other stuff can be way too tangled up in the messiness of real language. I'd definitely prefer to have a native speaker that I can consult about it if I were to do anything with more than a phrase or two.

19. First fandom you wrote for? So, way back before I knew about ff.net or LiveJournal, way before Ao3 was a thing, I wrote what was effectively Dragonrider of Pern fic. After that, probably Rurouni Kenshin or Yu Yu Hakusho.

20. Favorite fic you've written? and the stars led me back to you (Bleach, 4.4k words, Grimmjow/Ichigo, space!au). I love all my fics, of course, but this one was just so good, very much a case of me writing something with myself as the intended audience. I reread it fairly often. kiss with a fist (better than none) is probably a fairly close runner-up, though, I am still so pleased with some of the dialogue and dynamics in that.

6. OTP for your muse?

Oh, um— dANG. This is a hard one. I used to be hyper-focused on Puzzle and Vase when I first started rping as Atem on a different site. It was the same when I came on Tumblr. Then eventually I started liking Pride and Seal. It kind of goes between Puzzle and Pride right now. (It’s also kind of based on the experience I’ve had. The more I’ve written it the more likely I’d be into it.)

16. Favourite trope?

Yin Yang. Pretty much what Yugioh is about. Darkness and Light. Good and Evil. Both clashing together. I hope that works as a trope- High schoolers defeating evil doers via card games.

18. Are there any AU’s you’d like to explore but haven’t had the chance to yet?

Tbh occasionally I get ideas in my head but lacking the rp partners for it. For certain characters that is— LIKE. I’d defo love an AU where Juudai and Atem end up in Yuusei’s timeline and they’re there to prevent from the explosive disaster from happening. Yuusei getting tech suits for Juudai and Atem, also allowing them to travel through time. Which is also how I see Atem picking up Yuugi in this case. The more the merrier. Y’see— lots of gaps in the plot of this one. BUT. I just daydream a lot. Or an AU where Aknadin is the main villain, master manipulator. Tricking Set into believing Atem died but he had an incident where he was then lost, so Set is forced to be king. But Atem makes a return. What if Bakura learns about the truth of who lead the mass killing in Kul Elna? I got— more ideas about this one but it needs to be polished. It’s just. Very. Vague. They might sound strange from what I wrote but I can connect the dots if it ever gets to writing them so they make more sense.

Honestly— any length. I don’t mind it. Whatever we’re feeling in the moment!

JEON YUNA, a (26) years old (S) ranked hunter under the (HUNTER GUILD) has entered the dungeon. The (MAGE) is (quiet) and (steadfast) but also (overly protective) and (cold) which has caused quite the stir amongst the citizens. We wish them to come back safely !

ahhhhhhhhh!!!! i’m so excited for this rp to finally open! i’m lina and i’m here to bring to life to everyone the cold mage known as jeon yuna, the only other s-rank hunter inside the hunter’s guild! she’s here with her twin brother jeon iseul! at the moment dkjfdkg i’m out, so please by all means, feel free to send me messages for plotting, (if you have discord, do message me about getting my contact!), if not i’ll reply to every plotting messages soon!

below the cut here is some information with regards to yuna! :3 happy rping and happy plotting!

yuna was born the older of the jeon twins in the jeon family household, who had a good amount of prior generations of hunters as a whole.

she is fraternal twins with her younger brother, iseul.

the jeon family regards the twins as pretty much of a failure because of the uniqueness of their constitution as well as their issues!

yuna has a unique body constitution called an extreme yin body, which results her body temperature in being of a colder and much lower temperature than many others, and also the cause of her ice elemental abilities

when the twins were both in utero, yuna’s unique body constitution caused her to consume and rob her brother’s yang energy, leaving his body riddled with an intense amount of yin energy, and in the process, weaken both his mana potential as a hunter and his health and body constitution

the mana potential and energy was then consumed by yuna, which caused her to awaken as a s-rank hunter, while her brother iseul awoke as a d rank hunter instead.

she’s cold, and pretty much your resident tsundere dkjgjsjgg

she doesn’t like the responsibility of being a guild master, hence why she’s the only other s-rank hunter that isn’t a guild master

her brother and her are supposedly inseparable.

in actual fact, because half of her mana potential and energy isn’t her own, yuna has difficulty controlling her mana and her abilities occasionally, especially when her brother is not around. when her brother isn’t around, she’s constantly under the danger of imploding due to her erratic magical abilities, and likewise--iseul depends on her presence to chase away the resultant effects of the yin energy on him.

because of this, iseul and yuna are both in the hunters guild, despite the fact that iseul’s abilities aren’t up to par with most of the hunters in the guild.

she’s loyal, steadfast, cold, and terrifying to most people, because she doesn’t really give a nice face to others upon first meeting

she’s also highly, and OVERLY PROTECTIVE of her younger twin (anyone who belittles iseul, beware) to the point of actually being blind to his mistakes or his personality faults.

she’s currently in a a-rank and s-rank party, that would only be called upon for if an s-rank gate appears!

The Worst RPer I have ever met (Nemo Saga Chapter 6)

Okay, so here we go with another standalone Nemo chapter that discusses the one thing about Nemo. His fucking temper.

As demonstrated in the Spooky RP, Nemo has a short temper when it comes to people actually messing with him or belittleling him. Now, it’s understandable that in RP’s you can sorta make a character based on people you don’t like and have em be killed off or defeated. I havent had much RPs about those but Nemo’s case is that he resolves everything with vauge threats and murder.

For example, before the Spooky RP, Nemo first met the Dragon Cafe Crew.

The Dragon Cafe Crew is composed of the following:

Rubelle “Ruby” Black - The Chubby Dragoness

Calvin “Cook” O’Hara - The Alcoholic native of Philly

Jill Xhiao - The Shy Panda woman.

Oswald “Ozzie” Hempshey - A fat East End Drake

And Dexter “Dex” O’finnigan - The Irish Yang to Ozzie’s Cockney Yin.

Out of all of those, It was Ozzie and Dex who didn’t come to immidietly like Nemo. And in character, they like to mess around with other people. So let’s say that Ozzie and Dex make some dumb jokes about the Vampires or admit that “We ain’t really friends.” What does Nemo do? He brutally murders Ozzie and Dex. But has them revived. If this were a moment in an RP with a good friend of mine, this scene would not be as brutal and would be played off for poorly done dark comedy. But Nemo was very serious about it. He really REALLY hated Ozzie and Dex simply because they didn’t wanted to be his friends right away. It get’s better.

Another example comes when a Zombie Virus is loose in Puerto Rico. Aiden thankfully survived in a farmland, enjoy the spoils of the apocalypse and the catharsis it brings. God-Nemo, offended that Aiden can rebel in a bit of normal power fantasy in a role play, calls him an evil man who doesn’t want anything to change so he decides to leave Aiden to his lonesome... with a fucking bomb that is suppose to kill him. I playfully have Aiden Brush off his death as cartoonish as possible, but Neem’s says “no no, let him die.” And I’m like “Excuse me bitch? I couldn’t kill YOUR characters but now you want me to let you kill mine because he thinks differently than you? FUCK YOU!”

It was after those two events that Nemo realized he shouldnt be having his marty stu kill me for not agreeing with him, he decides that he needed to add excuses for why he was killing me. And I mean excuse that would justify why he would kill my characters. And those excuses came in the form of either Demons or Rabies, and no matter what happens, there is no signs of that behavior until AFTER killing my characters.

While it wasn’t murder, there was an obvious threat of murder for this next example. Nemo kept bringing up a Mercy Brown Video Game (Which Only Exist to him) and he made moments where he tried to act like he was some Big shot letsplayer and blahblahblah. I have never heard of this game but Only had small understanding of what it was about, so I decided that, since I was into Zero Punctuation at the time, to make a sort of faux Ben Yatzee Review of a game. I didn’t do the whole thing because Its a fake game within an RP but the first few minutes was just me channeling my inner yatzee.

The small thing I wrote as Ben Yatzee:

Ben Yatzee: i hardly do reviews about indie horror, my last one being too scary to even continue. But when you have a cult of people simply worshipping an unknown horror game for being a bloody masterpiece, you end up witth your entire fanbase asking you to review. While i really dont take request, the number of people desperate for my thoughts on the game is just staggering so here we go...

Ben: Mercy's Autumn Nights is an indie horror game created by who else? Mercy brown. The title should be so completly obvious that she made the game as its not enough for her to simply put her name in the credits, you need to make it pretty bloody clear she made it.You play as, big surprise, Mercy blooming Brown as she tries to escape an angry mob thats chasing her down. Why? I dont fucking know?! Maybe mercy brown, being the obvious killer vampire, killed some people and she just not doing a good job at hiding it. Or maybe she hasnt showered in a while and the villagers are just getting sick and tired of smelling her greasy hair...

*ben continues to critize the games story and the use of mortal things when the character plays as mercy, complements the graphics and the controls.*

Ben: in conclusion, the next time someone sends me a request, my answer will simply just be "Mercy Bloody Brown!" Why? I dont care, its there. Have a nice day, internet.

Nemo took the Review as an offense and tried to get in contact with ben yatzee because they talked to each other once for a while like a year. Neem’s words, not mine. And this is ignoring the fact Yatzee has Social Anxiety. Ben tried to explain to Nemo that his video is only there as a means to both critique the game and be a comedy but Neemo kept trying to convince Yatzee it was a good game and that he was a good youtuber, ignoring the fact Ben reviewed the game not the Youtuber. But it was after being presented with Mercy Brown and the grave and how annoying he was, Ben basically shut him off, the video still remained though so no one won.

Mercy’s response:

Mercy: That takes care of it. See ya.

I told nemo that it didn’t really change anything and that the thing was just a video talking about the game, not him.

Neem’s Response

Nemo: I see. But if we see another negative video about us, you know what we'll do to him. He'll never know.

Like I said, It may not be a violent moment, but he generally demonstrates the same kind of mentality the secret police has. Censoring any form of criticism and killing off those who don’t like him

I already presented one example in the spooky rp but there is also another major example with this small rp moment. It was during the mercy saga, and it was a moment where "our dear friend and vintage American sweetheart Mercy Brown” contracted a disease just to get us to feel bad for her and give her some attention. Aiden and Ruby, not wishing to risk getting the mary sue sickness, decide to come in Hazmat suits. It’s as exaggerating as it sounds and for the time, it was just played for giggles. But later that day, she got better and Aiden und ruby had nothing to do, so they decided to call a helicopter to pick em up. This big fucking osprey shows up, lands on the garden but no one takes off because it turns out, one of the guys in the osprey, Dave, was getting married and everyone took the opportunity to celebrate it... while still in the osprey and still on Nemo’s Lawn.

Nemo, understandibly tried to get everyone out of the lawn but they ofcourse couldnt listen due to the fucking loud music inside it. He later got a megaphone, letting the message get through to them and forcing em to take off. It was there were a drunken Dave decided to just walk out on the osprey doors and flip nemo the bird, sealing everyone’s fate with that gesture.

Nemo’s Words after the vtol flew off:

Nemo: Yeah. That'll teach you how to disturb some neighbors, you mind-fucked bitch.

Nemo went flying in the air (Somehow) and gun down the entire vtol. Killing or injuring everyone, and leaving Ruby and Adrian in a catatonic state. He later flew back and acted as if nothing happened. Before that, he made a comment that was suppose to sound like the kind of snide remark of “Oh, I wonder how that horrible accident happened” kinda That is until Kate shows what happened , and this was the one time posession was actually close to making sense but since the RP always had Nemo act like a normal person and showed very little signs of posession, making this the only time he actually had it plan off.

Nemo’s word’s after being shown what happened?

Nemo: *whispers and closes the door* Oh my God. What did I do? What did I do? *drinks a can of A&W Root Beer* I'm getting crazy. I need blood. *licks his own lips and chewed his own lips. He grabs a meat and eats it and there was blood spilling on the floor* Master Velora. You promised me eternal life! And you did.

Funfact: Before Velora became a Valentine Girl and was part of a trio of marceline clones, she was supposed to be evil.

Pretty soon, Nemo suddenly had demonic powers and ordered his vampire clan to make the world a supernatural place for vampires and werewolves, and he will assend to become a Vampire God. Starting a fucking apocalypse and building a castle for him in Rhode Island.

When Kate, freaking out over what the fuck was going on, Nemo tried to be as hidden and “evil” as possible while signs were made quite fucking obvious he was starting a vampire apocalypse. But then when asked why the fuck he started fucking armageddon, here’s his response:

Nemo: No. Not ending the world. It's my parents. My parents should pay for what kind of stuff they did to me. Sending me to dangerous places and tormenting me. They have gone too far.

... At no point has Nemo’s folks EVER appeared in the RP. And Let’s not forget, He was fucking 19 at the time, so...

The apocalypse breaks out and the world seems like it was going to be in for one dicking of a terrible time. But we got to remember an important Detail: This is Nemo’s world.

How it really happened:

*Then Nemo was almost killed. But then he was fighting against a Wendigo. A Native American cannibal creature. People were watching Nemo and the Wendigo have a brutal fight in Providence, Rhode Island. He grabbed his medieval sword and stabbed at the creature and killed him. The Wendigo was killed and everybody was saved. Nemo thought it was himself, but it was a Wendigo. So Mercy had to send him to a church in Exeter, Mercy and the priest got rid of the spell that cursed him for so long. Nemo was finally saved and happy. He can now live however he wants. Even Kate was happy that he is now saved. His friends and family was happy that he's not possessed anymore. So in December, in Mercy's house, the presents are under the Christmas tree and everybody was having a good time. Nemo was waiting for all his friends to come.*

Well THAT CAME OUT OF NOWHERE!

After the battle:

Nemo: I hope nothing possesses me again.

Mercy: God will always be there for you.

Nemo: I know.

....

This was the stupidest thing to have ever happened in RP history and I just needed to share it with you all because this was fucking insanity

The point is: Nemo is a violent dick. Anything that doesn’t apppease his ego simply results in a death setence and later revival so that you can apologize to him and kiss his ass. And to be fair... it’s fucking scary. And it’s only made worse with the following subject: The Line between reality and fantasy.

The Runaways BY Babyrose

For ten years, the Master's Correctional Facility for Super Powered Youth has inhabited six teenagers. Six out of the most powerful and dangerous super-powered humans in the world. For ten years these six teenagers learned to co-exist together, pulling themselves up when the lab coats pushed them down. They were tested on, beaten, bullied, and at times starved for days on end. They were not seen as humans, they were seen as freaks. The facility is military run, using these kids as experiments to help advance the military's soldiers and somehow inject their abilities like strength, speed, and regeneration into ordinary humans out on the field. All to no avail. Trapped as early as age seven for some, they learned to get along and protect one another. With no schooling, no power training, or contact with the outside world, many became.. quirky. Disturbed. At the ages of sixteen, the military pushed forward a new project -- Power Enhancement. The goal was to begin testing these kids and working toward enhancing their abilities, making them twice as dangerous and three times as feral. They were no longer seen as humans whatsoever, the military pushed for animals. A secret weapon they could set loose on their enemy when the threat arose. A couple weeks before the subjects escaped, the project was announced a success. The once normal super-powered kids were now enhanced as much as their bodies allowed. The enhancements affecting them in different ways. The military was ecstatic, quickly planning on having them shipped off to the battlefield to put them to the test, but on their last night, their cell doors unlock, the guards disappear, and the cameras go off. Announcing a lock down, the administration rushes to get the prisoners to a secure place but by the time they arrive they were gone. This is their journey into a new world. A futuristic earth where once super powered people and humans lived together in harmony. Ten years later, the super-powered race is extinct and there are laws set in place if any are to be encountered. Report them or shoot them on sight. Being super powered is a disgrace and they are treated like freaks. Newly enhanced and strangers to society, these kids struggle to survive and blend in. Prone to ability hiccups, they cause havoc wherever they go and it's not long before the police are on their tail. Amongst the group drama soon arises. Many being the yin to the yang, arguments and fights bubble up, many due to disagreements on what to do or how to handle situations. Some refusing to become weak members of society and set on taking back their place as superiors to the human race, while others in the group just want to track down their families and live normal lives.

Soon after, they begin to discover that things aren't what they seem, and the strike of good luck that allowed them to escape might have been their doom. With many of them suffering symptoms due to the enhancement, society hating them wherever they go, the pain and suffering in the normal world being twice as hard as when they were in prison, and the struggle to find shelter and food, the race to getting back to the facility or splitting up begins. But before they ever have to make a decision, they make a shocking discovery that will make or break their dream of freedom.

THE CAST: The Leader [TAKEN]: Not always the decision maker, but the most responsible. You can trust the leader to make the hard decisions! This person will most likely clash with The Brain and The Bitch. Charismatic and motherly, the Leader will be the most in control of their enhanced abilities (and just so happen to be the most emotionally complicated.) The Leader will keep the others in check, feeling personally responsible for them even though they are not his or her responsibility. Self-righteous and slightly bossy, this person might come off as a slight control freak. They're quirky and a quick thinker, always juggling the outcomes of a situation before acting. Their bodily enhancement is their reflexes. Having the grace and flexibility of a gymnast, they are skilled with combat. The Muscle [TAKEN]: The most powerful by far, The Muscle will be prone to ability outbursts. Their emotions are more connected to their abilities than their brain is, and this can be a good and bad thing. The Muscle is extremely dangerous, the one to actually fear. The only one who could actually go against The Muscle and stand a chance would be The Leader, basically making them not get along very well. This person will rely heavily on their abilities, to the point of being completely reliant on them for everything. They can come off as slightly evil and a bit of an asshole, but also a giant teddy bear and a fatherly figure. Their bodily enhancement was their strength. Being able to lift up to ten time their weight, they're not called "The Muscle" for nothing. The Bitch [TAKEN]: The Bitch is.. well a bitch. A cocky son-of-a-gun, The Bitch is a lone wolf. Not really caring for the other group members, the level headed one will be the one that gets on this person's nerves. The Bitch will most likely be very careless and lazy, not eager to do any work if at all. They will not be there to support the group, and will always have one foot out the door. If anyone might backstab the group for their own gain, you can bet it's this person. Their bodily enhancement was wound regeneration. Wounds with this person can heal up to ten times faster than most people, making them great on the battlefield. They can take three times more hits than his or her comrades can, and can quickly heal and regenerate small limbs. (Like fingers and toes.)

The Level Headed [TAKEN]: The calm and collected member of the group. This individual will be relied upon to settle disagreements or to calm the others down in case of anything if the leader doesn't deal with it themselves. They will also be seen as the one people can find trustworthy of anything. This person will also be the support beam for the group, as in the one that keeps them together. Would get along with all members. For some reason the level headed one didn't get anything strangely..the others will cast this aside but the Brain and the Leader will be curious about it. The Brain[TAKEN]: The smartest one of the group relied upon for their tactical support and planning skills. They will most likely deal with the technical situations or problems that might arise. They will also be the sarcastic one that knows they are the smartest of them all. It is almost guaranteed that they will not get along with the muscle or the crazy. It will be their job to look at most things with an unbiased opinion. They received an enhanced neural capacity so that they are much more intelligent than originally. The Crazy [TAKEN]: The wild and wacky one that does things for no reason what so ever. They're willing to go to the extremes for the simplest things just to see what happens. It is possible they went through some screwed up stuff to get this way. They will most likely not get along with the Brains. This person will also be into some weird and freaky stuff. To what degree is up to you. Wouldn't get along with the leader for sure and might see a great friend in the muscle. The crazy received an increased in their regenerative abilities. Making so they heal small limbs and wounds much faster.
