Hi! I'm a huge fan of your story and have been keeping close tabs on it 😂 I just wanted to ask: what's Max's relationship with his parents before he ran away, and if not that, then will that be officially revealed? I'm dying to know!

I did address this issue somewhat back in November when someone asked a similar question. Basically, RAH isn’t going to go into detail on Max and his parents - it’s going to continue to make references, and by the end you’ll have a fairly reasonable idea of how Max feels and why he left, but I won’t really be going into specifics. (If you want more detail on why, click the link!)

I have a handful of headcanons I tend to default to when it comes to Max’s relationship to his parents, and those will very likely form at least the basis for that relationship as it exists on RAH. To my mind, Max’s parents are/were kind of on a sliding scale between neglectful and overly harsh, with unmeetable expectations/standards... they don’t really treat him like a kid, so much as a general disappointment. They also probably don’t understand or treat his mental illnesses very well - I tend to headcanon Max as having ADHD and ODD.

Fanfic Writers Appreciation Week Day 1

Hello Everyone! In case you didn't know, I'm running a Fanfic Writers Appreciation Week (FWAW for short) I want to do something visual for tomorrow but in the mean time, here are my picks for the day! OTP: Pearls of Portant by Ayande https://archiveofourown.org/works/12870792 We got slight Link/Mipha AU where when Link wakes up, he's got some eggs next to him. It's sad but so so so adorable. Angst: First is Izuku Haunts 1-A by @theartisticgamer https://archiveofourown.org/series/1553269 AU where Izuku dies as a kid and his ghost haunts the school. Things change... a lot... when this happens. This breaks my heart so much but it also all makes sense and it's so good. It's currently on hiatus but the bright parts of my week was seeing that this updated. Everyone in it is so sweet and kind (or trying to be. Villains excepted of course, mostly) and just it's good. It's so so good. Other angst is Contingency by @bukkun https://archiveofourown.org/works/14171661 It starts off with a silly premise. The Norts will Nort the Pooh bear. It is not that silly. It is so wonderfully sad and good and quiet and hopeful and I love this fic so much. It deserves so much love. Someone shows up at the end and everything just SNAPS together. It's wonderful. Finally, Slice of life! It's "Go Fuck Yourself" by @punishandenslavesuckers https://archiveofourown.org/works/18750697 It starts off with Bakugo finding Tokoyami doing something... extra weird and it goes into some really fun discussions of the world and the ways it works. It has some great stuff in here. Also, Tokoyami and Bakugo interactions are a lot of fun. Seriously, more of this "Let's think things out to their logical conclusion on this world" . I'm going to try to do better tomorrow but please read and comment on these fics if any of them sound interesting!

check out @gentrychild they are a genius in human form and I love their stories, @cyber-phobia also has one of the best AUs that I’m following here, @tsukithewolf, @queenangst, @captainkirkk and @rexcorvidae write some of the best things I have seen in the fandom (if you want your heart broken), @kimbapchan has the prettiest and lovely villain deku au (especially if you’re a bakudeku fan), @thyandrawrites writes metas that I absolutely adore (but sometimes they hurt because certain pills are harder for me to swallow BUT META WRITING IS HARD AND YOU GUYS IT’S AMAZING HOW THEY DO IT), @sugarforkfull‘s art is beautiful, @theartisticgamer ‘s Izuku Haunts 1-A AU is AHHHHHH MY HEART and @fawn-velveteen has this au where something really bad happens to Izuku and I just love that story to bits and pieces to the point that I read it WHILE INSIDE AN INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR. I mean considering that the only you’ll see in my blog are reblogs, might as well take this time to promote some of the content creators that I absolutely adore.

I’m reading the ghost!deku fic because I saw your art and I can’t say anything other than how dare you. I cannot fucking BELIEVE you’re making me go though this PAIN. my writer brain says oh, yes, this is amazing and the character development is incredibly, but my dominant sad boy brain is CRYING. I cannot believe that it’s after midnight and I’m still up reading this tragic literary masterpiece because of you
