I'm stuck on Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel and recently finished The Ruins by Scott Smith

Relationship Status: Going on 14 years of livin’ in sin with the father of my two kids.

Favorite Color: Green.

Song Stuck in My Head: Made you look by Meghan Trainor because my son was singing it in his approximate-but-getting-better English and it was highly amusing.

Last Song I Listened To: Probably Flowers by Miley Cyrus against my will because my daughter plays that thing on repeat in the house.

Three Favorite Foods: Call me a medieval peasant, but bread, cheese and wine. One of my favorite parts of travelling is hitting up a grocery store to get the local varieties. Totally fine replacing wine with beer if that’s the regional preference (although not a fan of lagers and pilsners). Alcohol doesn't count as food? Well whatever fruit typically goes along with the bread and cheese there, I love 'em all.

(Although it's really not medieval peasant of me, I also must confess to loving peanut butter. And coffee. Most of my days start with the two.)

Last Thing I Googled: Super boring Canada Revenue Agency stuff because I have been a Responsible Adult today and finally stopped procrastinating on doing our taxes (thank you, rainy day). I know, I'm disappointed in this answer too.

Dream trip: I’ve been lucky to have been on many amazing trips (thank you, Life Partner Working in Tourism Aviation), so I'm looking forward to simply going camping because I’ve been half-hibernating indoors for months and I'm dying to go on a long hike up some mountains to See Some Sights. Nature and History are my two greatest loves (shhhh Science, not now) so I'd love to do the Camino de Santiago one day (should be fine in the bread, wine & cheese department too)

Some day, when my dependents become independent, I’ll get another motorcycle and ride across North America.

well technically no, but my actual given name is inspired by my sister's name. Andrea - my internet alias is inspired from aurora borealis (please don't ask me why, my 13 yr old brain can't explain to you then and neither can i explain to you now)

last saturday? i think.

nope not at the moment, but all of their names have been thought of -laughs to myself-

yea, sometimes not intentionally. I think i say things ironically more.

I finally managed to give up on complete and post Chapter 4 of In Camera today, which was an absolute bipolar schizophrenic jumble to write, and the scene the voices I initially wanted Chapter 4 to be about actually got pushed out to Chapter 5 (making it less and less likely that this will be done in 5 as intended. @theburnbarreljester please know that I mentally replay your comment about bandwith for multichapter fics multiple times a day and kick myself every. single. time. for not realizing I have no such thing as bandwith for multichapter fics.)

So I have truly no idea what was the last sentence I wrote in this, but one of the last I edited was :

“Had she ever worn blue, some shade of sky or water to match her eyes?”

Because this was initially more dialogue where Eli asked her the question, and the answer was no, because blue was the color of the dress she wore when [SPOILER REDACTED].

Shows I dropped this year: Hahahaha I don't want to say this because the third season is not out yet and I hadn't made a solid decision but if Yellowjackets third season is out, I might not watch it. I have enough traumas (and cannibalism!) to last a lifetime.

Currently reading: Déjà Dead by Kathy Reichs (I've been meaning to read this forever because of Bones) and also I'm stuck on Alone with you in the ether by Olivie Blake too.
