Billy carried you past the front door, smiling down at Davina softly before making his way up the stairs. He didn't stop to notice that the Eternals were trying to follow him. Thankfully Frank and two other men flanked the stairs, Frankie standing a few steps up with the two Anvil agents standing on the floor. It frustrated Druig that they were stopping him but figured it was better, for once, not to make a fuss.
Billy stripped your heavily unconscious body of your now sweaty clothes. Used a damp rag to wipe your skin down and place you in an oversized shirt. He held you so you were sitting up against him with one arm while the other brushed your hair out. When he was satisfied you would wake up as comfortable as he could make you, he laid you under the sheet and blanket. Propping one leg up on your body pillow and wrapping your arms around it.
He turned the lights off, flicking a soft lamp on by the door to ensure you could see when you wake. He didn't want you to be any more disoriented than you already would be. He turned the overhead fan on, grabbed the tablet from the desk and softly closed the door.
While he walked back towards the stairs he watched the security footage of what happened before he got home. He needed to know how much interaction Keyara had with Davina before he went forward, as it would set the pace for the conversation they needed to have. He watched his daughter leap out of the car before he was even fully stopped and make a break for the house. He watched as you lost control of your body.
And he watched as Ikaris attacked you.
That last part really set his blood unfire, so when he reached the bottom of the stairs he paused and had a brief but firm conversation with Frankie and the two guards. The Avengers/Eternals group watched as the guards nodded and silently walked up the stairs. Frank and Billy watched them go before Frank patted Billy on the shoulder and said something they couldn't hear.
When the men turned back towards the group, Billy's eyes immediately looked for his daughter. Finding her, very unsurprisingly, talking with Loki and Thor. He sighed, knowing it was time to put on the face of the hard parent. The face he hated the most when it came to the blue eyed girl. His little princess.
“Davina Kari Russo..”
Davina and the Avengers all turned to look at Billy, none of them had ever heard him use such a firm tone with her. Davina looked down before walking over to her dad and trying to give him her best puppy dog eyes. “Nah, don't look at me like that, princess. What you did today.. Using your powers on some kid..” He shook his head, because really he was proud of her for standing up for herself. But he knew she couldn't be doing this, it wasn't like she punched him or something.
“You set off bells at SHIELD today with your behavior. It took almost all of our resources and your Uncle Tony breaking into the system to erase it. We all work very hard to keep your powers under the radar, and today you used them simply because someone upset you.”
Steve turned and looked incredulously at Tony, shocked and slightly appalled that he broke in and erased SHIELD data. Tony scoffed and crossed his arms before speaking, “We all agreed, a long time ago, when we met Y/n and Davina that we would keep D out of the system. I'm just keeping my part of the promise. Besides, Anvil did most of the work.”
Billy and Frank nodded, “Thank you for helping, Stark. I know you love Y/n like a sister and I couldn't be more thankful. But you Davina..” He sighed again and looked up, closing his eyes briefly before looking back down. “You are the daughter of not only an Eternal, but of me.. And I have taught you everything you need to know about defending yourself and others.. Hand to hand, this suspension wouldn't have mattered. Using your powers though, is unacceptable, it's to keep you safe.”
He knelt down onto one knee and cupped her face with his hands, “I would never forgive myself if something happened to you or your mom. But you have to do your part in keeping yourself safe, alright? Just like I expect Momma to check in, and carry her phone everywhere. I expect you to keep your powers a secret.” He leaned in and hugged her, her smaller arms coming around him.
The Eternals looked on the situation with warm hearts. Phastos could relate, having a child of his own. They thought it was amazing that this man clearly loved Davina and You more than anything in the world. He radiated protective energy.
“I'm sorry Daddy.” Davina sniffled a little, knowing that she didn't help her mothers situation with Keyara. Billy could see it in her eyes before she tried to speak again, so he shook his head. “Don't blame yourself for Keyara showing up today.. That's 100% on me.. Moms not been very happy with me as of late. Plus I was gone for an extra few days, so work really bogged her down. Her changing is never your fault Davina.”
Davina nodded and stepped over so she could go hug her Uncle Frankie. He ruffled her hair and talked softly to her and when she nodded he looked up at Billy. “She can come stay at the house for the night. Give you some time to deal with..” He waved his free hand motioning to the group of ‘heros’ “Whatever this is..”
Billy nodded and sighed out in relief that it was one less thing he needed to worry about at this exact moment. He turned back to the group and looked over them, glaring harshly at the man who he watched attack you. Before he could tell him to get the fuck out of his house, one of the women spoke. “You keep talking about Davina having powers? May we know what they are? Maybe we can help her learn to control them.”
Sersi looked between the two tall men and the girl, it did not escape her that the girl looked so much like one of her friends. Kingo stepped forward and knelt down a little with his arms out. Davina squealed and ran into his arms, he scooped her up and spun her around a little. Even though she was thousands of years old, she only looked to be 15 or 16.
The group was shocked to hear Kingo and the girl start talking about things they needed to catch up on. Sprite and Sersi shared a look, so did Thena and Gil, and Druig and Ikaris. For once the two agreed on something, that Kingo had lied or exaggerated the truth. The two talked for a moment before she hugged him tightly and made her way back to Billy.
Billy didn't know these people, and to say he has some trust issues would be an understatement. He looked to Loki and Thor, the people who had known Y/n longest past the group. When they both nodded he sighed and wrapped his arm around his daughters shoulders. “Davina is fully in control of her powers. She just uses them inappropriately sometimes. She has control over others emotions. Y/n described it like mind control.”
The Eternals all turned to look at Druig, whose eyes were trained on the child before him. “She can make you feel something, and you're never disoriented or confused. It never feels like it's someone else invading you, it feels completely at your will. She can make it so it fades eventually or it's there forever.” They all watched as he kissed the top of her head before leaning down and whispering in her ear.
She kept her face turned towards the group and away from Frank so he couldn't see when her eyes lit up. They only stayed that way for a moment, and next thing they knew Frank was rubbing his stomach. “Ya know what sounds good.. Ice cream.. We should get some ice cream on the way home Vi..” Billy, Tony and Davina all smiled trying not to chuckle and give anything away.
She stood on her tiptoes to kiss her dad's cheek, he still had to lean down but he kissed her forehead again and told her he loved her. She skipped through the room, hugging all her aunts and uncles before darting up the stairs. Billy's smile fell to a straight and very serious face. As he took a breath to speak, Frank held his hand up “I know Bill.. Davina is the most precious thing in your life.. If she comes back with one hair out of place, a single bruise or scratch you'll skin me alive. I've kept the kid a million times.. I got this..”

An hour later, the group still sat in a large living room. It had huge windows that overlooked a small lake in the backyard. Woods could be seen everywhere, deer and small animals making their way back out after the commotion from earlier. Sprite watched as many birds of all different colors ate from vararis bird feeders. Tony, Billy, Loki and Thor had all disappeared as soon as Frank had left with Davina.
The doorbell rang, and Billy walked out from what they assumed was an office and made his way down the stairs. Four men wearing all black with jackets that had Anvils logo on them walked in, then straight to the kitchen and out again. Tony and the two gods quickly followed him down the stairs, watching as he thanked the men and then dismissed them.
“Let's move this to the dining room, I'm sure you're all hungry.” Billy led them all to a room that had an open floor plan, the ceilings were high and the walls were a mix of white and blue. There was an island countertop that was covered in different bags and boxes. Billy soon set out plates, cups and silverware as he explained what all there was to eat.
“Pizza.. Cheese, pepperoni, meat lovers, veggie and supreme. Chinese.. Kung pao chicken, sweet and sour chicken and pork, dumplings, chow mein, fried rice and white rice as well as little donuts and rangoons. And lastly, Pad thai, like four different kinds. You'll find the fridge stocked with pops, wines and beers as well as water and juice. Help yourselves.”
The Avengers were used to this sort of thing, being around Tony for the last 12 or so years. But the Eternals were not, so when they looked through all the food, and then the fridge Sprite gawked and turned to the Dark haired man who was watching something on a tablet. “How much did all this cost!” Sersi tried to shush her, whispering about how rude that was to ask.
Billy laughed a little, and shrugged “I don't know a couple thousand.. Foods are getting more and more expressive but it is what it is.. Eat what you would like.” He turned and walked towards the dining room, which held a large dark wood and looked over his shoulder at it. “Jax, expand the table we have an extra ten quests. Soldiers help me grab the extra chairs.”
Bucky and Steve followed Billy as the others watched the table expand itself as they set more chairs out. As people started to sit and place their plates down, Billy set his tablet propped up on a side table. The Eternals looked over to see what seemed like live video of your bedroom. “Isn't that a little creepy? And a breach of her rights? Watching her while she sleeps..” Phastos said his face scrunching up a little as he turned away from the video.
Billy scoffed and tried to keep his cool, but it was pissing him off that these people were questioning him. People who haven't seen you in thousands of years, questioning him on how he cares for you. He walked back, set his plate down and crossed his arms. “I only watch her because sometimes when she's recovering there are problems.. Only when she falls as Keyara, she has set the bedroom unfire, blown the windows out of the house and other things.. But I know the signs that she's struggling so I keep an eye on her.. It's my job.”
Druig scoffed and brought his beer to his lips, when he looked over Billy and Tony were both glaring. Loki looked slightly amused and Thor looked like he wanted to be anywhere else. Druig set his bottle down and leaned forward on his elbows as he spoke. “And who are you.. To my Y/n..”
Billy laughed, grabbing his chest as he tried to catch his breath and once he did he dropped the words that made the night even tenser. “I've known Y/n for 15 years.. And as of 9 years ago.. She's my wife..”
The Eternals all held their breath as they watched Druig and Billy stare at each other. Billy laughed again and started eating, not at all intimidated by Druig or anyone else in the house. “So I'm sure you all have lots of questions.. Tony, Loki, Thor and I decided that we are capable of answering them all.. I would rather you not swarm my wife with questions when she wakes up. It normally takes her a few days to fully recover, and this isn't her favorite thing to talk about.”
The Eternals all looked to Sersi as she was kind of their new leader, they figured she had all the same questions they did. She nodded and started with the first question. “How did you all come to meet Y/n, and when?”
Tony and Billy looked over to Thor and Loki, while Loki looked at Thor who sighed and started. “400 CE earth time, Ajax was instructed by Arishem to take Y/n from the Domo and bring her to him.. She in his words had ‘Lost her way and forgotten her destined path.’ Ajax took her and left her with him, and he showed her how you all moved on and went about your lives without her. How you didnt miss her, or look for her. And eventually she gave into his punishment and was banished from earth. She was placed under my charge and her powers were bound.”
Loki leaned back in his chair and sighed taking over, “Unfortunately we soon found out that her powers were not bound in a way we thought. They are bound to what we feel is almost like an alter ego.. Like you used to be Bruce.. We eventually learned the signs of her changing, and named the alter Keyara. Keyara isn't a bad person, per say, she is just the embodiment of all the darkness, stress, anxiety and bad feelings of Y/n. She has full use and then some of Y/ns normal powers, as you got a peak of earlier.”
Thena leaned forward and said, “You're saying that her powers from earlier were just a small part?” The Avengers and Billy all nodded, “We took her on a mission to Jotunheim, she thought Loki died and Keyara is very close to him.. When she took over she literally evaporated the frost giants and then just before we left, she blew the planet to pieces.”
The Eternals all just sat in silent shock. Bruce, who was sitting on the floor next to the table, cleared his throat “As on right now we know her powers include telekinesis, telepathy, flight at insane speeds even in outer space, molecular reconstruction, concussive force blasts, energy absorption, pyrokinesis, Psionic Nexus, and of course her immortality. But we never know what could happen next with her.”
“Eventually, Loki and Thor fought, Thor and Y/n ended up on earth and boom a few years later with the Avengers.. At the time it was just Me, Steve, Clint, Bruce and Natasha. But Thor released her from the hold he unwillingly had on her and she stayed with us for a little while. I see her as a little sister who's much older than me.” Tony said smiling as he thought about all the memories the two of you had.
“About 15 years ago, Loki and Y/n had visited earth and that's when I met them.. I was enamored with Y/n instantly. So every time they came back to visit she made sure to see me.. It's what got Frank and I through our military days. And when she was released from Thor she helped us build Anvil, which the three of us own together. Eventually we fell in love, bought our first house together, got married and now here we are. You are sitting at this table with two of the most powerful and rich men in the country and the richest woman is asleep upstairs.” Billy looked over at the tablet and watched as you pushed your body pillow down enough to move his over to your face.
He smiled a little as he imagined you breathing in his scent and hoped it could comfort you until he could come up. Food was gone by this point, literally all of it. Nobody spoke for a few minutes until Ikaris broke the tense silence.
“So where does the girl..Davina.. Come in..”

Brand new thanos pop. Jim Starlin conceived Thanos during a college psychology course and introduced him as a villain in The Invincible Iron Man #55 (February 1973). Starlin originally designed the character as skinny and lanky, but editor Roy Thomas suggested he "beef him up".
