Yall, I’ve been saying it once, I said it a thousand times. Calroy is not to be trusted. There are a bunch of people who could heal, literally Lapin but you call for someone we haven’t seen you interact with?? Like Calroy would have to know Keradin and even Lapin didn’t know who the carrot was.

biggest thing? thad did not write the love letter, a servant with a poet's heart who is now asleep in the alley did. also, everyone came to the conclusion that if an npc is mean to them, that means they're trustworthy- 'Hesitated to execute? That's love' is a pull quote that totally encapsulates the season

great now I’m gonna have to ship Jet and the servant with a poet’s heart that probably fell in love with her based on how Thad described her

Chungle-Down: What line from any season do you think about the most?

The silly line from ACOC that I can’t get out of my head right now is Theo telling the Tart Guard: “Your king was almost killed today, do a sadder dance.”

Dimension 20 seasons ranked by how much of the season my mom would watch before quitting: 

1. EFTBK - she loves villains and lord of the rings. I think she could watch the whole season. 

2.  ACOC - Convincing her to watch a show about food people would be the hard part, once she started her love of game of thrones stakes would carry her through a lot of it. 

3. TUC - She quits during rat king fight because it is too gross and she doesn’t understand the combat. 

4. FH - she says she likes it but stops paying attention. I get annoyed and turn it off.

5. TH - She cannot deal with the talking toys. She quits immediately.

night yorb: Tell us about an outlandish theory you had while watching a season.

God I don’t remember. Like literally I’m not sure I could tell you. I don’t tend to wild mass guess while binging because when you’re doing 2 to 4 hrs a night your brain is pretty fried and its enough to predict based on the plot hooks that people are putting down let alone some crazy off the wall stuff. I think I called them having to murder the American Dream the moment Nod explained what the golden door actually was. I called that Amethar was gonna end up Emperor just not how they were gonna do it. I tend to think more in AUs than fan theories if that makes sense. Its more like if given this situations what would happen. And less what’s the weirdest thing that I think is gonna be canon. Like I thought Liam was gonna get the dragon because Brennan fucked up on the foreshadowing and we didn’t get enough Saccharina backstory in time. Idk, I’m pretty content to wait for canon before speculating wildly.

nod: What was the moment that d20 hooked you?

The holy shit I need to see what happens moment was obviously the end of the second episode of fantasy high. You can’t not make it to that moment without getting hooked. But each season has had a moment where I went ‘oh yeah I’m binging this.’ Bloodkeep was when I realized sometime in the middle of the first episode that they weren’t just drawing inspiration from Tolkien-esque fantasy but were straight up ripping off lord of the rings. That was around when Zal-Nash died but I also love when they decided that they weren’t gonna use the complicated high fantasy name for the volcano and instead they were gonna call it the scary volcano. That’s when I was like oh yeah this will be fun. I think unsleeping city grabbed me after Pete’s bad trip that ended up with him in Nod during the first episode. He was the first character we met and it was so crazy that I had to see what was going on. I can’t remember with Tiny Heist. It’s my least favorite season and I watched it disjointed bc my first episodes of d20 were tiny heist ep1 & 2 and then I didn’t want to wait for ep3 so I started fantasy high and the rest was history. I think I came for the McElroys and stayed for the shenanigans. Idk. And of course crown of candy motherfucking vibe checked me with the shit with Ruby at the end of the first episode and like by then I knew that d20 owned my ass and I was here to stay, but that’s when I knew that this season was gonna hurt. And hey I was right.

hilda hilda: You lock all of the characters played by one cast member in a room. What happens?

I went through a couple players trying to think of what would happen if you locked their characters in a room together and the mental image that my brain latched onto and wouldn’t let go of was Cumulous crying while looking at the questing blade and the gravity axe. I don’t know how they got locked in this room. I don’t know why they can’t get out. But I do know that after trying and failing to escape, Cumulous would eventually notice that everyone had a magic weapon and once he asked to look at them then the tears would start. Ricky would try to act as emotional support but there’s a very good chance that he would start crying too. Ricky would say something very soft jock about not running from your feelings and its okay to cry which Gorgug would echo. I feel like Gorgug would be on his crystal trying to get a SOS text out to the bad kids groupchat but after a while he’d start talking about his axe and his adventures and they’d start swapping battle stories. And also in the corner while all of this is going on is Lapin who makes the occasional snarky comment but otherwise is questioning all of his life choices that led to him being trapped in a room with three muscleheads who treat int as a dump stat. Just Cumulous crying over the magic weapons of Zac’s other characters is too good a mental image to pass up.

Lighthearted D20 Asks

#asks answered #the first question stumped me bc most of my speculation is based on what i know from canon #so its hard to get really outlandish unless I'm jumping on someone else's crazy fan theory bandwagon #which like I was really hoping that Emily's backup character was amanda mailard bc that would have been fun #I'm still hoping that's murph's backup character even though I don't think he'd want to play a character with different pronouns #Ally is the only one who's played a character who's gender identity is not the same their own #theinfaethable

honestly my favourite thing is whenever anyone makes riz basically just... a green feral cat goblin. like, eyeshine? ears that flatten and pupils that turn to slits whenever he feels threatened? pupils that blow up whenever he sees something he likes??? he also does that cat thing where when he yawns, his entire jaw just... unhinges. oh and! not a cat thing but his ringtone is the Law & Order SVU theme.

also, adaine was a huge warrior cats fan when she was younger and owns the whole series.

bill seacaster: what is the most chaotic impulsive thing you have ever done?

hm, i did run away from my class, down the street, to ambush my school principal and tell him a joke. it wasn’t a good joke, and all he did was give me a very awkward laugh.

i also threw a bowl of ice cream out the window one time.

gilear faeth: does gilear have rights?

the important question here is not does gilear have rights, but rather should he have rights? on the one hand, this man ate a brazil nut off the sidewalk. on the other, he is hung like a horse. i argue that although this sad, sad lump of a man does not currently have rights (as by decree of overlord brennan rather than personal opinion), we as a community should be campaigning for him to have them.

listen i obviously love “sam and aelwyn are girlfriends” and i have my texting, desks, and girl’s night vs boy’s night posts but for another one: movie nights are disasters because fabian always tries to claim he likes highbrow stuff but really he just wants to watch some shitty disney channel original movie, fig claims to want to watch horror but if it actually gets picked will have nightmares, adaine refuses to actively have an opinion but is in charge of the remote so has veto power, gorgug doesn’t actively have an opinion because he likes everything, riz always tries to get them to watch something indie, and kristen eventually suggests something they all agree on but she does burn the popcorn. stop letting her make popcorn she always burns it.

ragh barkrock: favorite kind of pizza?

listen buffalo chicken pizza is fucking bomb okay if you don’t like it that’s fine but it’s simply so good. who thought of putting that on pizza? they were a genius. usually i just get pepperoni though because i don’t want to rock the boat too much. if you take a slice of pineapple and put it on a slice of pepperoni it’s really good and you’re getting two slices at the same time.

lowkey probably a few people, but in particular my college orchestra professor, who was like, a Nice Person, but when I had a giant, traumatic breakdown the night of graduation after months of bad mental health, just a few hours before we were supposed to leave on our east coast orchestra tour, and I told him there was no way I was gonna be able to handle going, he dropped me from an A to a D for the term, despite having paid for the trip already. It’s been 5 years, and I still feel guilty AND angry about it, so I don’t even know what I’d do if I saw him.

Thistlespring Tree: what does your ideal home look like?

Smallish, cozy, and warm, filled with plants, books, and food.

12 - campaign you'd like another season of

Fantasy High is an easy answer but I also wonder how much more story those characters have left. There's been a lot of character building and really amazing growth that's happened in the two seasons we saw. I'd love to see more of the characters bc I love them but also I don't think there's anywhere left to go. They have their endings. I want them to live happy lives now.

omg! no one has ever responded to me for one of these before!!

Nod: the first episode I ever saw was the Bellhouse one shot with BDG so with no context having a perception check reveal “you, your girlfriend, and no one else you can see is your dad” absolutely DESTROYED me. then I got episode 2′d and like how can you not love the show after that?

Big Business: there are truly so many good ones. Emily’s grilled cheese story is the first thing that’s popping into my head bc I’ve never been so enraged that I couldn’t share a good recipe with someone before. also calling shredded cheese confettis? icon behavior.

Porter: I think it would be blasphemous for me, a known chungledown not to pick Mr. Bimothy, but I really do have a soft spot in my heart for Zayn Darkshadow. Limon as well!
