I think I'm slowly starting to understand that me being constantly exhausted is just because I'm finally safe and my body is no longer running on adrenaline and cortisol all the time. I've been fighting against the exhaustion for over a year but I haven't actually allowed myself to rest without feeling guilty.

#personal #I need to learn how to relax and do one thing at a time and to not put myself in so many stressful situations #I'm allowing myself to sleep in #to read more #to start my day with something enjoyable like a walk or a nice long breakfast instead of a stressful to do list #I'm setting boundaries around being available to work on my days off #I'm taking days off of work #I'm allowing myself to just sit and be and read and have a drink at a cafe somewhere #without it being something rushed #I just need to.. REST this year #I've done the self care bit like the meditation and the yoga and the walks but it's always been something #and I've only relaxed while feeling guilty and multi tasking #I just need to really and truly relax; in a way where it's not a to do list #my favorite restaurant is closed on mondays #but they're located at a big lawn with chairs and benches #and I went there after work to just read my book for 2 hours #in the shadow and the breeze on a hot day #and I felt sad depressed but it was actually really nice #making some dinner now (easy dinner) and watching a tv show

in other news i get two weeks of summer break!!! :D i thought my summer classes were going to just lead me straight into school again but i do actually get some breathing room before it all starts up once more :D

#can't WAIT to be back in french class i'm gonna have so much fun #and like! ten thousand english classes!!!! everybody say yayyyyyy!!!!#gonna see what i'm taking rn actually. chronicle it #taking literary theory + criticism ; us literature 1 ; folklore and mythology ; sacred texts ; nd emerging lit in global context #on the waitlist for the emerging lit one. but i am first on the waitlist so. it's practically my class already #absolutely no doubt that someone will drop if i'm not just allowed to crash #even if i don't get it it's no big deal though honestly! it would be my only tuesday/thursday class so i wouldn't have to be on campus...#spending five days a week on campus is pretty silly. i got through it last semester but it'd be nice not to have that #nd i'm at 18 units with that class so if i don't take it i'll be back down to 15 which is totally reasonable #bracken's favorite hobby is actually being completely insane with his school + work schedule #18 units and i'm still like 'yeah i wanna work 20 hours though'#you have clinical issues. shut up.#anyway hopefully i'll be able to work 20 hours a week on top of this sdkfjghdsf #if monica gives me morning shifts! i can do that easy peasy (afternoon shifts are 5 hours instead of 3 and a half now. kiss kiss)#so two + a half afternoon shifts a week and a couple morning shifts... we're so set #'bracken when will you have time to do homework' that's a problem for me to solve by just not having free time <3 #one of my classes is asynchronous so. ha. haha. i'm sure i'll have appropriate amounts of time to do work.#mondays + wednesdays i have class straight from 1:30 to 7 but it's FINE! it's FINE!#i'm sure i will be very reasonable about it #i got through my three hour 5-8 film lecture last semester. so i can do anything #would i prefer morning classes? oh absolutely. but having the morning for homework will still be good for me #so excited to be back in school i love school so much #( <— has been in school this whole time w/ summer classes )#OH MY GOD I WAS GONNA SAY THOUGH. Dropped my gorgeous girl (my bike) off at the shop to get her basket installed & fix the pedals. Apparently it just needs a part replacement, so I should have her back in a few days hopefully

Stopped by the shop I wanted to go to yesterday since it wasn't far out of my way & picked up a new deck of tarot cards. As much as I love my first deck, it's a very average starter deck, & I wanted smth more personalized. So now I have one. Gonna have to break out those puppies sometime soon

yoooo a bitch is home from work and volunteered herself to go in early every single day this week except today lol

but I am!! home for now and ready to GET SOME FUCKIN WRITING DONE AYYYY

I finished one thing while waiting to leave for work this morning, just have to type it up and queue it

so at the moment my drafts/requests left to do are 14 but as soon as I queue that it’ll be 13

my goal today is to get that number to 10 or below and that is TOTALLY doable!

and I’ve only got like 6 requests left from the original batch before I opened the askbox for fresh blood when I returned soooooo

adderall making me angy

#been taking her twice a day every day i work to keep my productivity up #its been working (productivity’s been 150% every day this week)#but i raised my voice at my favorite manager which is very unlike me at this job #even when that one guy yelled at me early on working here i just told him i wasnt one to yell at #i really like my manager and he’s saved my ass many a time #my bug boss likes me cuz he knows my dad but (redacted) is the only one manager directly above me who likes me #work crush manager liked me too but he’s on a different shift and in a different department now #the head of my department is a hard ass #i dont think he dislikes me but he doesnt do me any favors #i do respect him tho cuz he knows im tight with his boss and still doesnt pull any punches #rare to find someone like that in a corporate setting #dont like him tho #back to the point i like my fav manager and dont wanna screw that #if i keep taking adderall like this i’ll just get angrier #gonna start taking it monday wednesday friday #that should keep my productivity average up well enough
