Screw canon with "Kwami don't understand love or human's feelings", Tikki and Plagg are the oldest married couple ever around!!! The balance, opposite attracts, fun bickering, sweet nickname Plagg only has for Tikki? They're married, your Honour!

Alya/Marinette

Best friends to lovers is a go!! It's a shame the show is so inconstant with Alya's characterization, but let's forget it for a moment: Alya is the one who openly stood up to Chloé for Marinette when they didn't know one another, Alya keeps rooting for Marinette in everything she does and helps whenever she can, is her confident and keeps giving her pep talk... what's not to love? Sure, Alya isn't perfect, and she's still a teen learning subtility among other things. And I don't think I need to expand on what Marinette does for Alya and everyone else, the poor girl even needs a long vacation! Burn whatever Lila is doing to Alya's brain whenever she appears on screen, Alya is a good friend and potential GF for Marinette!

Felix/Marinette

I am glad Felix was replaced by Adrien, I don't care if the quality of the show dropped or is imitating a roller-coaster ride. I've seen enough "girl is infatuated with a (selfish) boy who's acting like an asshole to her, whilst drooling all over a persona of hers", and I am glad they went for the "classmates-friends-to-lovers" route. Felix isn't "a jerk with a heart of gold", that's fanon Felix, and while some creators have very good AUs for the pairing (some I even follow!), it got tarnished in my eyes by the too many salt fics where Felix comes around to "save Marinette from EvUlanDsTOopiD classmates and Adrien". UGH. I despise how they made Felix an asshole only to try and make me feel sorry for him afterwards, there are two kinds of assholes, and Felix in his first apparitions wasn't in the "likeable" one.

Adrien/Nino

Underrated, underdeveloped, wasted potential, WHY?! They would make a very cute couple!! Also, gimme more of their friendship on screen goddamnit!!!!! They would be so fun to follow, example: Nino is usually being chill and smiling yet he (internally or not) completely freak out when Adrien makes a social faux pas due to his upbringing or casually buys him some expensive stuff "DUDE PLEASE DON'T 😨" "Did I do something wrong?? Are you mad? 😢" "Nonononono I'm not mad but... next time, just follow my lead and keep your money, please??" (still he lets Adrien give him gifts though because it's one of his love languages)

Luka/Nino

Anon, either you've been through my main blog (respect, for it's so chaotic and mostly untagged) or you're a mind-reader because it's a rare pair that I'd love to see more!! I admit that the idea crossed my mind kind of randomly, mostly when I was working on my Miraculous Team AU, but then I couldn't stop thinking about it. With good development, these two could work well! They'd make a fun, cute and chill couple, both music lovers and artists in different fields. Nino could be the shoulder Luka could lean on, he who is so often the one to dry people's tears, the two would support each other in a calm, steady way. Nino's perseverance would inspire Luka, and Luka's hidden sneakiness would come in handy for Nino... so much potential!

The Flower Boat (连奕辰 or Lián Yìchén, Yìchén being his name, he/him) seriously has one of the most underrated songs ever. The emotions are off the charts??? THE LYRICS ARE PURE POETRY??? LizLuvsCupcakes on YouTube said, "This boat is the only ex I respect. His whole breakup song is "I miss her so much but I hope she's happy where she is."" and THEY ARE SO RIGHT!!!

He's typically closed off emotionally, trying to maintain a happy but subdued mood, but he will absolutely be starry-eyed when he talks about Ching Shih (fun fact: she's also known as Zheng Yi Sao). He can also help y'all get through a break up or really any romantic troubles if you sit down with him for a drink.

The Beast of Gévaudan (Gevariel, sometimes referred to as Gévau, he/him) and Policarpa's Spool (Poli for short, she/her) are besties!!! They're both trans and despise romance. They'd rather spend Valentine's Day studying a corpse.

Poli is such a cool gal. She rallies against injustices whenever she can, and she hates how the police system has been used to enforce the marginalization of minorities. When she investigates with a given suspect, her priority isn't to find enough evidence to condemn them but rather look for all evidences possible, even ones that may contradict the suspect being the murderer 'cause she firmly believes in "innocent until proven guilty". Basically, ACAB, baby!

The Mummified Goose (Merneith Gomaa, referred to as MG or Mery for short, she/her) is a hell of a hypewoman! If you're trash-talking yourself, she will shut that shtick down QUICK. She's so unapologetically confident and self-assured that it infects the others around her ehe. She also collects antiques as a hobby to the point her house is kind of a mess, but she takes care of them very well!

"Wait if Poli hates romance, then what's up with–" Queerplatonic partners, my friend!!! Poli and Mery share a deep emotional connection together, and Mery, despite knowing her romantic feelings won't be reciprocated, still loves Poli very much. She adores how determined Poli is in getting the truth, and similarly, Poli loves how much Mery brightens up the room :]

Yeethaw it's Best Character

Favorite thing about her: There's so much to love!!! Her spunk, her look, her distinct voice ... Something really underrated about her, though, is her emotional maturity. For all her quirks and silliness, she's among the wisest people on the island. Her FTEs with Hajime are unique in that she's the one helping him deal with personal hang-ups, not the other way around. The advice she gives resonates perfectly with the themes surrounding the characters' dark past and the better future they can create.

Least favorite thing about her: It really is messed up that she tells Mahiru to "snatch some shots" when Mikan accidentally exposes herself in a tumble, but I think she'd relent if she knew about that girl's circumstances. So maybe the real worst thing is her hilariously rude takes on music. No, Ibuki, there is more to drumming than making loud noises!

Favorite line: "Welcome to the world of girls' love! It's slippery when wet!" There's much to criticize about DR's portrayal of LGBTQIA+ chars but I love how overtly queer many of these characters are, especially the enthusiastically girl-loving Ibuki.

brOTP: Whether you like it as a romantic ship or a friendship, Ibuki's bond with Imposter is a genuine delight. She takes their crappy Byakuya attitude so good-naturedly that they can't help but respect it. If they'd lived past Chapter 1 ... well, I'll go into that more as I develop my Ibuki protag swap project, but suffice to say they'd have a strong impact on each other. She'll help bring the individual at the core of the Imposter, and they'll help Ibuki channel her boundless energy into being a genuine force for hope.

OTP: You already know. I've liked some noncanon ships even before I knew the concept of shipping (zutara was just so obvious to me even as a kid), but tsumioda is the first to make me lose my damn mind. "Sweet girl helps sad girl" is irresistible, especially with my spin where the sad girl helps the sweet girl right back. The whole "Mikan once killed Ibuki" is a dealbreaker for some, but it actually seals the deal for me. This extreme interpersonal conflict is the kind of barrier that, once overcome, will make them both better people and better partners for each other than they ever could've been ... Oh my god, I talk about them like Nagito talks about hope, HELP

nOTP: I don't think I have any nOTPs - only ships that are more interesting (or funnier) as failures. Sayabuki is one. Ibuki strives to always be herself, no matter how that might alienate potential friends and fans. Sayaka would call that idealistic and naive, having her own motivations for doing things she otherwise never would. A clash would be inevitable. In fact, have a surprisingly detailed relationship arc for them in my head, taking them from musicians on the same tour to secret lovers (and first love, on Ibuki's end) to bitter exes. I'll write that fanfic someday.

Random headcanon: Ibuki's always so brazen when flirting with people, but when she develops an actually serious crush, she gets really awkward and even more motormouthed.

Unpopular opinion: I don't think Ibuki would immediately be all smiles and forgiveness with Mikan after they all wake up in the pods. A girl who prizes being real with people got taken advantage of in the worst way by someone she called a friend. Even for someone as friendly and emotionally stable as Ibuki, that's gonna require some deep reflection, emotional processing, and tough conversation! I do agree, though, that they'll eventually work it out (and fall in love)

Have you done any watches of the pokemon arcs and talked about them? Someone I'm mutuals with discussed doing that for AG arc. I'm considering doing it for the DP arc since I still consider it my favorite arc in the franchise.

Aww, sorry, I was a child getting into fandom when AG was starting in Japan, social media was at its infancy too... i didn't even have a livejournal yet. I don't do full series rewatches either. But I am very fond of the Contest arc, Haruka/May and Masato/Max, the humour, and the warm and tropical colour palettes. I also adored the hoso specials (the Side Stories that got dubbed as Pokemon Chronicles, although the dubs for those were... infamously much worse than the TV series in script quality and accuracy), I used to downloa the specials and watch them in Japanese while slowly learning Japanese bit by bit because no subbing group took Pokemon seriously enough to sub it outside of banned episodes, specials, and movies...

It was a unique time, I think!

Rescue Ralts! Hurry, Masato!/Do I Hear a Ralts? remains one of the best episodes of the anime, period. The Wishing star of Seven Nights: Jirachi was my old favourite pokemon movie before Lucario!! I love that the dub kept KAORI's singing for May and part of Chiisaki Mono in Japanese.

AG is criminally underrated, despite introducing concepts popular in fandom, like Hadou/Aura. Satoshi apologizing to Lucario after seeing his memory of apparently being abandoned by Aaron was the turning point for me where I truly felt Satoshi mature as a person and become much kinder and more patient. He was so prone to fighting people, he was much more of a (pint-sized) hotblooded shounen protagonist before that, but I adore the all-loving hero he grew into. How he helped Hikozaru/Chimchar heal in DP, how patiently he dealt with both Shinji/Paul and Shootie/Trip being jerks to varying degrees compared to the way he was before (solution: run screaming and throw himself at whatever problem exists, fists flying), the growth I personally cared about was visible even in the first episode of BW! where he's annoyed or exasperated by what he encounters, but keeps his temper in check and just makes faces in disapproval, fff.

He can still, of course, fight those who deserve it, like Largo's bullies and Sauboh/Faba.

So, yeah, I loved AG! It also has one of the only battles to ever excite me (anyone who knows me, knows I HATE Pokemon battles, they make my eyes glaze over... it's just not interesting to me unless a fight has, like, swords or something—I really do watch Pokemon more for the cute friendship stories, ships*, and idealized humans living in harmony with nature and other non-human creatures setting)... it was Haruka VS Shuu in the kanto Grand Festival! I was literally on the edge of my seat. I loved seeing her surpass him and his little look of approval and smile before she went from concern to happily celebrating with Wakashamo/Combusken. They had a beautiful story arc going from him looking down on her (while gifting roses like he's harboring a secret crush, fff), to respecting her as an equal, even dropping the -kun honorific he used to use after her name, when he saw her as a kouhai/underclassman and himself as her senpai/upperclassman, and moved to calling her just "Haruka"... after she saved his life, I believe!

I feel like that was Pokemon's best written romance amongst th main characters, it didn't overtake her story arc, it added to it and she still had her goals outside of that, it only added to her growth and story. ^^ It was innocent and sweet.

I am convinced that "for Agehunto/Beautifly" line is how Satoshi saw through Kasumi/Misty's lie in the final series.

I also adore the episode were Haruka and Nyasu/Meowth go back in time and save a man's life and improve a whole town (?) by doing so. It was a fun, moving episode.

The dub harmed this a bit with music choices and voice acting, but from the look of things, people still found it quite emotional (I still vastly prefer the original, no contest!), so Arbok and Weezing's release episode. Interesting that poacher Ryo/Rico was one of the last criminals shown using a real world gun and modern day weapon... maybe also because it doesn't look familiar to a lot of people as a real firearm...

*I got into Pokemon and Sailor Moon via a Rocketshipping fanfic set in the Silver Millenium when I knew nothing of both series and was used to only reading Harry Potter fanfic as an 11 year old! The secret backstory, pffft. So I watched for TR. ^^

I used to review Best Wishes! episodes, the earliest reviews were on my livejournal ( http://inkedfeathers.livejournal.com ), later mini reviews were on my now deleted tumblr blogs, but some reblogs exist... some DP episodes too! BW! was my favourite.

Trusted Friend Chapter 1

How remarkable that they could maintain their friendly banter while he was buried so deliciously deep inside her.

This was the dream, Bo thought - the ideal encounter - casual but not impersonal… meaningless but not cold…

Friends-with-benefits was definitely an underrated arrangement.

Summary: Din and Bo enjoy some casual ‘companionship’ while at the covert.

Note: This fic was originally outlined for DinBo week, but I’m way behind so posting in parts. The established prompts will appear at various points in the story, though not necessarily in order.

Three parts are planned in total - this first chapter is short, mostly just to introduce the nature of the relationship going in. Second chapter will be the bulk of it. Overall, I think this will be one of my shorter fics.

It was three weeks into her stay at the covert when they’d done it the first time.

Bo was an outsider, and Din being a bit of a social pariah, they’d naturally found companionship in each other during those first weeks.  While days were busy with training the foundlings, evenings were spent in friendly conversation over a sleeping Grogu until tiredness forced them to part for the night, each heading to their own makeshift quarters.

An unexpected friendship bloomed.

Conversation was varied - the tribe’s history, Bo’s knowledge of their home planet, stories of their respective adventures and travels…  

But that one fateful night, Bo was feeling a bit cheeky.  Curiosity about the more intimate ways of Din’s rather peculiar tribe had been eating away at her consciousness, and sufficient rapport had built between them by that point that she felt it was not inappropriate to seek answers.

If she had become acutely aware over the last few weeks of his respectful nature… his soothing voice… the cut of his waist and shoulders under the armor… well, that was inconsequential…

But sure, she may have had ulterior motives.

“I have a question.”

Din gestured for her to continue, tilting his helmet to the side in that way she definitely hadn’t noticed he always did.

“Are you all celibate here?  Or do you just do it with your helmet on?”

Din huffed and sat up straighter, a bit shocked by the blunt question.  

“No, most are not celibate.  And yes, unless bonded, the helmet stays on.”

“Even in the dark?”

“Yes, Bo, even in the dark.”  He sighed.  “I don’t think anyone wants to risk their soul on a technicality.”

Too bad about the helmets, she thought, but it was still certainly promising information.

“And the rest of the armor?  Does it have to stay on, too?”  

Din was a little dumbfounded by her perseveration on this topic, but he had to admit it was giving him some ideas… ones that he definitely shouldn’t be having…

He cleared his throat uncomfortably, forcing away the sudden awareness that he was experiencing an undeniable sort of attraction to this woman at the moment.

“The armor can come off.  But if you haven’t noticed, we don’t have a lot of privacy around here.  So I imagine it tends to stay on.”

Shit… he hadn’t meant to imply inexperience on his part - just that he hadn’t ever indulged here, in these caves.  Why were they even having this conversation?  He wished she would move on to spare him further embarrassment.

No such luck.  Bo picked up on his word choice immediately. 

“What do you mean ‘I imagine’?  Have you not ever…?”  

He subtly groaned, closing his eyes in frustration behind the visor.  “Yes, of course, I have.  But it’s been awhile… And I doubt anyone here is interested in cavorting with the apostate…”. He finally looked up at her again, adding, “Can we stop talking about this, please?”

She considered dropping the subject as requested… but he’d just placed an unwitting invitation right in her lap.  How could she let it go after that?

“Well, Din… I’m interested…”

That first time was awkward… but it was a good kind of awkward.  It was comfortable… and fun, even.  

When was the last time Bo had such an encounter?  The best word she could think of to describe it was wholesome.  In what galaxy would anyone think of sex that way? 

The galaxy where she platonically fucked Din Djarin, apparently.

He’d been so gentle and respectful - and by the gods, he was very good with his hands.  He didn’t rush it, and that was definitely a new experience for her - a nice one if she was being honest.

They’d spent much of their time in the act itself huffing with laughter as their chestplates clinked together in time with each thrust despite their best efforts to remain quiet.  Finally, they’d managed to unfasten them and place them to the side, still joined together at the pelvis.  

She’d joked then that they were both surprisingly flexible for their age, and he’d quipped right back that they’d find out in the morning if they were really still as limber as they wanted to believe.  

How remarkable that they could maintain their friendly banter while he was buried so deliciously deep inside her.  

This was the dream, Bo thought - the ideal encounter - casual but not impersonal… meaningless but not cold…

It became habitual after that.

They certainly didn’t partake in this new pastime every night, but it had become an unspoken custom - that if Grogu went down to sleep early, Din was welcome to accompany Bo to her quarters for more intimate companionship for an hour or so before rejoining his foundling for the evening.

Oil lamps were always turned down, and care was taken not to make excessive noise, in hopes of keeping their late night rendezvouses relatively discreet.  But who were they kidding?  These caves were prone to echoes.

There was only one hard and fast rule: The helmets stayed on.  

Most of their clothing and armor stayed on, too, save for those pieces covering the essential anatomy.  

But if hands occasionally slipped underneath layers to caress the others’ skin, well… they didn’t need to talk about that…

Something shifted after Bo was ordered to remove her helmet, though they didn’t delve into what it meant. 

The memory of that night was the subject of her secret daydreams.  And that was bad… very bad… 

None of this was supposed to be about feelings.

But feelings had bubbled up the moment the words left his mouth.

“Could we leave the lamp on this time?”

“Why?” she’d asked with a shaky breath as his fingers deftly unzipped the bottom half of her flight suit.  Her mouth went dry considering the possibility behind his request.

He’d hesitated briefly before offering an uncharacteristically gentle response - “I’ve missed your face…”

The butterflies fully erupted then, but Bo was determined to remain stoic in the face of his probably unintentional flirtation.

“I didn’t take you for a romantic, Din,” she’d smirked lightly, turning her focus instead to unfastening the clasp of his pants as his belt came free, though her burning cheeks may have given her away.

“I’m not,” he’d answered a little too quickly.  But then he shrugged, the smirk clear in his own voice.  “Not my fault you’re easy on the eyes…”

Stars, this man was going to be the death of her.

“Din…”  She couldn’t help but look away shyly.  This was really unbecoming behavior for a Kryze.  

He chuckled lightly, almost affectionate.  But affection was ok, right?  They were truly friends, after all.  Or at least that’s what Bo had told herself when warmth filled her heart at the subtle gesture.

He’d taken her right there against the wall, the torch lit just beside them casting a warm glow over the contours of her face.  He couldn’t tear his eyes off it as her arms wrapped around his neck and legs locked around his middle, enveloped safely in her embrace.

He wasn’t supposed to want more… but how he yearned for it in these softer moments.

It was different once they’d left together in the Gauntlet to search for her fleet.  

It had to be.  This wasn’t neutral territory - in many ways, this ship was her home.

And something about sex in a real bed was just a little too intimate for comfort.  And so, while they enjoyed nearly all of their free time in each others’ company, their late night intimacies came to a rather abrupt end.

It was fine…  The casual sex would naturally have to stop once they were with the Nite Owls, anyway.  And if it had always been just meaningless fun, then… same difference.

Right?

all time favorite(still together)band. u guys don't get it. getting these three on a song together is best decision ever made sorry. i love these three a lot. phoebe, lucy, and julien are BRILLIANT songwriters who make explosive material when they're together. every song is breathtaking and every song makes u feel every emotion in the book. it may be a 'controversial' opinion but their ep (2018) is my favorite album. they each have their respective moments the same way they do on 'the record' (2023) . it also came out on my birthday so maybe i'm biased. overall, their ep hits every mark perfectly even with a whopping SIX SONGS. the lyricism within that album will hit every time. to put a song calling out ur fans ('bite the hand') as the OPENER for ur debut ep is absolutely insane and perfect. do not get me STARTED on 'me and my dog'. i won't stop:

'me and my dog' has been my comfort song for a while. but its true resonation came through more recently. in a mundane wrap up by 'Beyond The Stage' magazine, the song is essentially about an imaginary situation that is "a peaceful escape from anxiety - one that includes an entire solar system and Phoebe's late senior dog, Max" (Pasterchick, 2023; https://www.beyondthestagemagazine.com/me-my-dog-boygenius-lyric-breakdown/). i have always loved the lyric "i wish i was on a spaceship/just me and my dog and an impossible view" because it makes me think of my darling baby boy, stanley, my very bestest dog friend who has made my life insanely more bearable. the only difference is he's not very senior, being only 5 years old. but recently i had to deal with him passing and listening to this song made me feel so seen and it put that final nail in the coffin of why i love it so much. it's interesting to think how something so devastating can bring about a relation to something i had found so much happiness in beforehand. it comforted me when i needed it the most and boygenius i'm oh so grateful for that. in my safe spaces i can always imagine stan and i on a spaceship. he sure would love that view.

their ep could make me talk for hours but 'the record' is an absolute masterpiece next to it. for them to have a hit debut album like that is so well-deserved. the writing within that album is perfect and 'we're in love' only solidified my love for lucy more. to be able to hear such mundanity in the instruments in order to amplify her soft voice is a beautiful use of sound and very understandable when she is spitting the bars that she is. i have consistently attempted to dissect meanings that could be hidden within this song just because i know lucy is way too smart for any critic to know what she is singing about. people may try to dissect those songs but julien, lucy, and phoebe are tooooooo big brained for them. it's not up there but 'true blue' is another beautiful representation of lucy's talent and to write that about her bestest friends is very sweet :)))))). 'without you, without them' is underrated but is a gorgeous way to introduce the album, especially a debut one. to open themselves up to us is not a small thing and their appreciation for that intro should be larger. tell ur friends, father, mother, sister, brother, they are opening up girl LISTENNNN.

another thing i love about 'the record' is the amount of JULIEN we get. the triangle between 'anti-curse', 'satanist', and '$20' is grammy worthy. the way the album flows together is 'folklore' level and no i do not say that lightly. the friendship that flows between each and every song is important to truly understand the tight community they have formed among themselves. 'anti-curse' focuses around julien's encounter with the ocean and getting pulled under a wave "making peace with [her] inevitable death." and listening through the album you start to notice her underlying theme of feeling grounded by the two people next to her on this whole journey, phoebe and lucy. their friendship has had a strong and lengthy lore that has brought devastation among many fans realizing just how much they really love each other. which is also emphasized by their common theme of playing the "big three," as some fans like to call it, at their shows: 'please stay,' 'favor,' and 'graceland too.'

now, i saw boygenius live and experiencing those three songs was another experience for me. and that was the most i cried the whole show (can u believe that?) knowing their friendship was so strong that they could write those songs about such a vulnerable moment within it was a beautiful thing for them to feel comfortable sharing with us. i think people took for granted the way they were able to perform those songs for us after the history that has happened to produce them. additionally, i think the creative decision to place julien in the middle of all three was essential to solidifying the sole reason all those songs were being performed. they have found strength and solidity in their friendship and turned it in to some of the greatest music of 2023.

Four and Twilights friendship is so underrated.

Look at this tiny guy just holding his friends shield because he can’t be with him right now. He’s not moving it or anything he’s just holding it as a way to feel closer to Twi and that just makes me so sad for these two. And he only puts it down when Wind and everyone else gets back. This is just like when he went out to hang out with Epona.

I know everyone is always focused on Time and Wild when it comes to Twilight but real talk I think Four is just as close to Twi. These two hang out often, they share secrets, and they have a very mutual respect for each other.

Four and Twilight are best friends and this is hill I’m going to die on

Did someone say Minish Cap

Things about the Minish Cap that more people should talk about because it’s adorable and hilarious

The Power Braceletes. Makes Minish Four strong enough that he can move things regular sized Four can move. That means Four can canonically throw people around when he's two inches tall. Time's Golden Gauntlets can get dunked on (Only when Four is tiny tho. He doesn't have enhanced strength when he's big. The bracelets were made for Minish so I guess they don't work when he's big lol).

His Gust Jar sucked up a ghost. Just slurped it right up. And Four can see spirits too, apparently, because not everyone saw that ghost.

Kinstones are fucking weird - they make doorways open, repair fallen trees, create chests, summon ladders, AND OPEN PORTALS? They can also create Golden enemies.

Golden enemies are extra hard to kill like in BOTW and they also drop a lot of extra loot. I guess all those Golden enemies in BOTW were spawned from Kinstones too???

He has a Grip Ring which helps him climb and his cap can be used like a paraglider. Why does no one ever address this?

Four also has Remote Bombs - a Minish inventor living in a mushroom gave them to him.

Can use his ocarnia to summon a tiny bird named Zeffa to carry him around. Normal-Sized Four can be carried by a little bird.

Din, Nayru and Farore exist in his time. Din is from Holodrum and is a dancer while Nayru is an oracle who comes from Labryanna. Are these the same from Legend's time? Who knows - certainly not the timeline

Vaati was a minish. He was Ezlos apprentice.

Ezlo is a super talented Minish. He made a cap that grants the wishes of those who wear it. He literally made his own triforce.

Hilariously, Zelda is a shoe lover. She is the shoemakers main source of income. That's canon. This princess has a closet full of shoes.

Four has fused Kinstones with mysterious walls. Yes, I said walls. Don't ask me how that works.

He also fuses kinstones with clouds. Literal clouds. This kid is crazy.

Town Picori apparently live in town because they really, really like humans. They used to be Forest Minish but they moved to be closer to the humans 🥺

Mountain Minish are not native to the mountain. There are only eight Minish on Mt. Crenel and seven of them are students who chose to follow their master, Melari, when he moved.

Apparently Gorons are in short supply during Four's era. They used to live on Mt. Crenel but now they live in a cave because there are so few of them. What happened to them?

Clouds are solid? Four walks on them. They aren't floating platforms or anything - it's just straight cloud. Idk man.

All kids in Hyrule go to the school in Hyrule Town, including Zelda and Link. Yes, Zelda actually attended a public school. Elementary school fic anyone?

Acrobandits. There's not much to them I just like to mention them whenever I can. They're little bandit ducks who stack on top of eachother, what's not to love?

Grandpa Smith and King Daltus (Zeldas Father) have a history. Both of them were talented swordsmen back in the day. They were friends and rivals. They even faced each other in the Picori Festival Swordfighting Tournament me year and eventually fought to a draw.

Zelda and Four are confirmed to have met through their father and grandfather. They are second generation friends.

Zelda is kind of a badass. In the beginning of the game Vaati wins the swordfighting tournament and the thus the right to approach a magically sealed chest with all of Hyrule's evil trapped inside. When he announces his evil intentions to open it the guards try to stop him. He attacks, blowing back the King and all of the Guards. Then he tries to approach the chest. But Dot, instead of fleeing, summons her magic ability and actually squares up like she's going to fight him. In the cutscene she actually approaches him like she and Vaati are in that Jojo Walking Meme. It's great and I love her.

This game has a bad ending. In the leadup to the final battle against Vaati, Four has to fight his way up the castle before a bell chimes three times. There is no visible counter or timer but you can actually take too long. If you do, then the bell chimes a final time and you get a small cutscene of Vaati taking Dot's lightforce. So there is actually a way to lose this game without dying.

The Lightforce. There is no triforce in this game. The Lightforce is a magical energy that was gifted to the Royal Family by Minish. There is no real description of what it is other than pure magical energy.

Two out of the five dungeons Four goes through are Minish sized. The Temple of Droplets and the Forest Temple. The Bosses are a single octorok and one (1) Chu, respectively. Do what you will with that information.

For the first part of the game Four uses Smith's Sword, the sword made by his grandfather, until he exchanges it for the White Sword, which he eventually forges into the Four Sword.

The Four Sword can break curses. Everyone in the castle gets turned into stone and Four saves them all by charging up his sword and hitting them with a sword beam.

Anyone in Four's Era can just buy a pair of Pegasus boot. They aren't dungeon items. (Zelda definitely has a pair)

Alright let's just get one thing clear here-

Four is 100% right here. Wild absolutely needs to be stopped. By force, if necessary (and it looks like it will be necessary).

Twilight is hanging on by a thread. Last we saw him the guy was barely conscious, unable to even keep his eyes open. He's making death speeches that may or may not be because he's delirious. He's drifting in and out of consciousness. He has no strength to waste on anything but breathing.

He most certainly doesn't need Wild bursting in and stressing him out. Let's not forget; Twilight is Wild's emotional support wolf. He's there when the champion has nightmares and stays with him through his memories. He's been there for Wild all through Wild's known life. He feels responsible for Wild's emotional state, even stating that he wished he could do more.

You really think seeing Wild so distraught is going to be good for him? Because it won't. The only one who'll benefit is Wild, and even that is questionable at best.

Because Wild is living in denial. He's insisting that no one can die, refusing to even hear Four name it as a possibility. He's volatile to the point of manhandling Four out of the way and shouting at anyone who doesn't give him the answers he wants to hear. Can you imagine the damage he could do just by being in the room? Yelling at Twilight to get up, yelling at Hyrule to heal him, yelling at Time for getting in the way?

Any extra stress could tip the scales when Twilight's on the razor's edge.

Four sees the writing on the wall.

"I can't let you go through like this"

Wild is in no state to be around someone so weak. If he were calmer then there might be an argument here but as it is Wild is just too wound up.

And what Wild wants right now is, frankly, selfish. He isn't listening to Four and choosing the best course of action for Twilight; he's thinking about himself. He's worried for Twilight, sure, but it's a selfish worry. Instead of wondering "what can I do to maximize the chance Twilight survives" he's instead thinking "I need to see him no matter what". No matter who he has to abandon, walk away from or fight through. Even though he's told, in no uncertain terms, that it wouldn't be helpful unless he knew a way to help Twilight heal (and he's given no such indication).

He is straight up told that Twilight "doesn't need this right now" but still insists on seeing him anyway.

Because he wants what he always wants from Twilight: comfort. He wants to be told that it's all going to be fine and the longer he's denied the crutch he's been counting on the more hot headed he gets. Because he's freaking out, in a full blown PTSD meltdown and of course he's searching for support in the once person he’s always counted on.

Which is understandable, but not excusable. Trauma explains shitty behavior but it doesn't vindicate it; You can't endanger other people just because you're triggered - it doesn't work like that.

And let's not forget he's not the only one suffering right now. He might have the strongest bond with Twilight but he doesn't have the only one. Every Link is Twilight's friend. Each and everyone of them would miss him if he were gone. Wild does not hold the monopoly on grief and it's not fair to forgive Wild's actions while damning everyone else.

Four himself is pretty close to Twilight and he had enough sense to tell Twilight not to worry about them. If Four can look past his own wants for Twilight's sake then why is it too much to ask Wild to do it too?

So I'm not hoping Four kicks his ass because I want Wild to be hurt, okay? I want Four to kick his ass so that he's forced to confront his own selfishness. Because no matter how sad or distraught Wild is it does not matter more than Twilight's life. Even if seeing Twilight will help Wild a lot and only hurt Twi a little, that little is still much more important in this scenario.

Because feelings can be fixed later. Death is permanent.

(To be very clear I'm happy Wild is being selfish here from a narrative standpoint. I love my characters flawed and I think it's good for Wild in the long run. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a character making a bad choice in the heat of the moment. Even on my personal favorites I welcome character flaws because overcoming those flaws make for stronger characters. I just typed this up because I don't like that some people are acting like Wild is a victim here when he is very clearly the aggressor. Because that's not a bad thing to be! It just means there's character development in the works!)

The Great Warriors Misconception

It’s been noted that there’s been a steady uptick in Warriors content in the fandom recently. Although not all of it has been flattering. Fanonization of a character is pretty normal; once a characteristic has been identified it tends to get thrown around the fandom echo chamber until it’s permeated through most of the fandom. So there’s nothing unusual there. It’s happened with Sky’s sleepiness, Time’s mystique, and Wild’s angst. But in the case of Warriors it gets a little strange. See, his canon character didn’t really translate over to fandom so cleanly.

In fact, I found that many of his supposedly “well-known” traits don’t actually have any canon basis. Even the ones you think are rooted in canon are actually fandom constructed on some small misconceptions.

First, let's get the basics out of the way: Warriors is not a flirty pretty boy. In fact, I’d go so far as to say he’s not flirty at all. I can see where this idea started but upon closer inspection it's actually way more complicated than you’d expect. In ‘Doodles 6’ on the archive we’re treated to this:

Where we see Wars hiding from a few women. Now, we’ve all been kinda taking this to mean that he was flirting with all the women in the tavern. But when you look at it objectively it actually appears to be the opposite; women are approaching him. And not only are they flirting with him but he doesn’t seem to be enjoying it. Jojo’s notes below actual lend this this idea too:

“Hero of warriors has so many ladies after him… you know, for his heart…and soul…and his head 💀”

There’s nothing there about Warriors being a flirt. The whole pretty boy thing is a reference to his game where the main conflict started when Cia fell in love with the hero's spirit, thus causing the whole war. So him being desirable has nothing to do with a playboy personality and everything to do with his appearance.

And speaking of his appearance, he’s not all that concerned about his. Again, another misconception. In ‘mirror shield’ he’s examining his black eye, yes, but it’s nothing egregious. It’s only natural to check on your injury. And in ‘Regroup’ he doesn’t seem to have a problem with a scratched up face; he’s smirking and joking as usual. So he’s clearly not that bothered.

Moving on, his core personality. I don’t know where anyone got the idea that he was a jokey/comical character but he’s not. When it comes down to it he’s right up there with Twilight in seriousness during battles. He’s usually the one helping Time to come up with plans (‘the shadow pt1’ & ‘new time new place’) and in situations where Time isn’t there Warriors steps up and takes charge (‘Divine Dark Reflections pt8’ and ‘Sunset pt4-5’). In Sunset in particular we see him displaying a huge range of his leadership abilities; he stays with Twilight when Time and Sky are speaking, convinces Twilight to leave the battlefield, fills in the group upon return and send Four and Hyrule ahead once he learns about Life, takes control of the battlefield and comes up with a plan. Even when Wild deviates from the plan, Warriors again demonstrates his leadership abilities by putting aside the lecture and focusing on solving the problem of the leftover monsters.

And even when he’s not in battle he’s able to take things seriously and read the room. In ‘Memories pt1’ Twilight and Time subtly try to move the group along to spare Wild when the champion gets stuck in his head. Warriors picks up on it immediately, even without knowing the specifics, and helps herd Wind away. And in ‘Heroes Legacy’ he notices Time being quieter than normal and asks about it. He’s so much more emotionally intelligent than he gets credit for.

There’s also this thing in the fandom about him thinking titles are important? Like, respecting someone more if they are a knight or something. And that’s baloney, actually, because Wars canonically does not give a shit. He doesn’t care about formalities (‘Doodles 6’) nor that Hyrule isn’t officially a knight (‘Divine Dark Reflection pt8’). He doesn’t seem to care about any titles, actually, based on his discussion with Legend in ‘The Bet’:

“Hey Mimosa, is this Kirsch’s?” Leopold asked, holding up a necklace he had found. Mimosa looked at it and immediately recognized it.

“Yes! He’s been talking about that necklace non-stop! Now I can finally get him to shut up!” Mimosa cheered, Leo laughed and handed the necklace over to Mimosa. “Strange, I wonder how it got lost here? Gardens have a lot of dirt and Kirsch would never dream of coming near it.” Mimosa said to herself and partly to Leo.

“Who knows, his stuff always gets scattered around, like those freaking cherry blossoms!” Leopold complained and pointed out. Mimosa nodded.

“Yeah! I interact with him one time and I smell like cherry blossoms for days!” Mimosa told Leo, Leo snickered.

“Yeah, not to mention he’s annoying. My brother is much better! Unlike Kirsch, he’s respectful and kind!” Leopold boasted, Mimosa smiled.

“Yeah… You’re lucky. Except for that one time where you accidentally cut his hair!” Mimosa recalled and she started to laugh, it took Leo only a moment to remember what she was talking about.

“Oh yeah! I’ve never seen him so panicked before! I’m just glad he never found out it was me!” Leopold let out a breath of relief. Never walking around with scissors ever again.

“Mereoleona was laughing so hard!” They both laughed together.

“Oh, I still feel bad about that.” Leopold said, partly laughing between words. “I’m hungry.” He spoke, Mimosa nodded in agreement.

“Yeah, let’s get something to eat.” Mimosa and Leo made their exit from the garden, but as they were leaving, Mimosa tripped! Luckily, Leopold lunged forward and managed to catch her before she landed on the ground. He pulled her back up.

“Are you ok?” He asked her, she nodded and gave Leo a warm smile.

“Yeah, thanks to you. Thank you a lot!” Mimosa said sweetly. Leo’s pride started to well up inside him and he confidently smiled.

“Well of course! I’ll always be here for you!” 

“I’ll hold you to that. And I’m also gonna be there for you.” Mimosa exclaimed, Leopold nodded. “Anyway, what do you wanna eat?” She questioned him. As he was about to speak however, a loud and annoying voice started.

“My dear sister, Mimosa! Have you found my beautiful necklace yet?” He glided into view, Leopold rolled his eyes while Mimosa sighed with irritation.

“I say we deal with that guy first.” Leopold suggested, Mimosa nodded with no hesitation.

Feel like talking to me about Hen and Bobby? Underrated and fascinating dynamic within the 118, and solid as a fucking rock.

Hen is the one of them that has always come across to me as a peer to Bobby, at least an emotional one, distinct from the others. Bobby talks to her, like a peer. Like, he doesn't have to always be "Captain Nash" with her. He values her opinion in work and in life, and is vulnerable in seeking it out (especially around Athena stuff). Bobby knows that Hen's respect has to be earned, and Bobby knows he's done that. Not in an arrogant way, but it's something he cherishes. Because her distrust of yet another old white guy in the Captain's seat was 100% valid. That he overcame that and was good enough to earn her respect is something he's damn proud of.

(Chim is also another adult in the room, but the way Bobby shepherded him through his own trauma, you can still feel Bobby's paternal energy with Chim. Bobby respects the hell out of Chim, but it's not the same peer energy we get with Hen. Not better, just different.)

Something about S1 Bobby and his secrets, about how Hen respected them without question. How he gave her a key to his apartment, just in case, even with all of his secrets. And of course, there's "help."

Their bond is so solid and unshakable it's easy to take for granted, but we shouldn't!

I feel like you will get where I'm trying to go with this. Bobby and Hen are pretty great, right?

UGH @yramesoruniverse you always come into my house with the best stuff. I was just thinking about this dynamic, actually, and I'm so glad you brought it up bc besides the fact that Hen is not gushed about nearly enough in this fandom, I think her relationship with Bobby should also get some time in the spotlight!

There is absolutely a distinct difference bw Bobby's relationship with her vs. his relationship with everybody else. Obvs with Bucks he's like a father figure, with Eddie he's like a mentor, with chimney there is something closer to peers, and definite mutual respect and trust (interim Captain Han anyone?) but there is still, like you said, an aspect of paternal warmth there.

(side note, Bobby being so fucking dad shaped is just the best thing I have ever experienced ever, he just cannot help himself can he? I love him)

With Hen, she seems to be the one he is most consistently eye to eye with. We don't get a ton of charged scenes with them together, but even in circumstances when he's pulling his Captain Dad card (talking to Hen after she hit that girl with the ambulance) there's still always a sense of kinship. I think they're just super emotionally compatible, if that makes sense? Like, there's a comfort in feeling understood and accepted without needing superfluous words as to why and on what grounds, like who would you go to when you need validation? who would you go to when you just need to vent? and who would you go to when you need the kind of raw and loving honesty that comes from someone who knows you, accepts you, loves you, but won't bullshit you? The latter feels like what hen and bobby are to each other. The Never Any Bullshit Friendship.

Anyway, this got away from me, and I don't know I got my point across bc it IS special and it IS kind of hard to articulate, but I absolutely get what you mean <3

Bishop & Apone

✨Apone has a soft spot for Bishop, even if it isn't really seen that often.

✨He respects Bishop's intelligence and dedication to protecting the unit, even if it's because he's programmed to do so.

✨ They’ve played chess together on a couple occasions when Apone was bored, and even though Bishop wins nearly every time, they still take pleasure in playing the game together.

Bishop & Dietrich

✨Dietrich and Bishop had first met because both spend a decent amount of time working for the corps in a medical and scientific capacity.

✨Though she isn't as close with Bishop as other members of the team, she likes how gentle he always is with anyone who's injured.

Bishop & Drake

✨ Bishop and Drake are probably the least acquainted with each other and spend the least amount of time talking.

✨ Ferro took quite a liking to Bishop when she first met him. Mostly because he reminded her of her younger brother back home who worked as a computer programmer.

✨ She offered to give Bishop a few lessons on flying and maneuvering in a drop shop, as Ferro is the most experienced flyer out of the whole corps.

Bishop & Frost

✨ Bishop and Frost often have long conversations with each other on a range of topics.

✨ Frost finds it fascinating that Bishop is an Android as he hadn’t ever met one until becoming apart of the Colonial Marines.

✨ Likes learning new things from Bishop about what it is to be an Android teaching him in return about his own background and cultural practices his family has passed down.

✨ Loves discussing where he wants to travel on leave, and has asked Bishop to join him on a trip during shore leave after their on LV-426.

Bishop & Gorman

✨ Gorman hasn’t really spent much time with Bishop, apart from when they first met in Aliens.

✨ Generally Gorman doesn’t have an opinion of Bishop one way or the other, he’s just happy that he gets his job done.

Bishop & Hicks

✨ Hicks thinks Bishop is a lot more than just another Android. He treats Bishop almost like a brother, especially after the events of Aliens (1986).

✨ He helped him get back on his feet after the events of Aliens, when he lost his lower half.

✨ Hicks even fashioned a couple of canes to help with Bishop’s mobility issues.

✨ Take Bishop with him on fishing trips back on earth, and birdwatching ventures.

Bishop & Hudson

✨ Often jokes around with Bishop, much like he jokes with everyone.

✨ Have a very sarcastic and snarky relationship where they go back and forth making jokes at each other’s expense.

✨ Weirdly Hudson is the most okay with Bishop being an Arificial Human.

✨ Bluntly asked one time if Bishop had a dick, making the rest of the team groan or facepalm.

✨ Once he found out how good Bishop was with a knife, he’d egg him on to do the knife trick with people at parties and to show new recruits.

Bishop & Spunkmeyer

✨ Is a little creeped out by Bishop because of how close to human he can come sometimes.

✨ Has referred to him as the T2000 on occasion because of his uncanny valley mannerism and way of socializing.

✨ Can be a bit ignorant about Bishop’s status as an Android, but will defend him if anyone picks a fight or is discriminatory towards him.

10 Underrated Quotes from Season 2 of The Mandalorian

As previously seen with season one, I’m here with another list of underrated quotes from The Mandalorian—this time, from season two. I’m going to highlight some of my favorite quotes from the season or quotes that stick out to me and why I think they’re noteworthy.

I don’t own any rights to content from The Mandalorian and, if you haven’t watched season two yet, potential spoilers are ahead!

1. “Pay attention when a superior addresses you.” (Chapter 15: The Believer)

While this scene certainly isn’t underrated, I believe this line spoken by Valin Hess when he finally catches Din Djarin’s attention by the Imperial terminal deserves some reflection. It’s interesting to think about how responding to Hess’ first call of “Trooper” is something Djarin just... wouldn’t think to do, or is something he thought he could get away with. It seems that Mandalorians, while they value their leadership, don’t focus on hierarchical structures in their society, so Djarin isn’t used to having to obey orders like that. It’s even worse that he has to deal with this unfamiliar situation without his helmet for the first time since he was a child. It really draws our attention to how little Djarin knows about the Empire and other organizations outside of his covert.

2. “This is the Way.” (Chapter 11: The Heiress)

I think many of us can agree that the first time this statement is uttered in this episode, we’re less than pleased about it, thanks to Bo-Katan’s ridiculing tone. When it happens later on, however, there’s so much meaning packed behind the words. First, from Bo-Katan, who has witnessed Mando’s bravery firsthand and has likely realized how wrong she was making assumptions about him based off his covert and his traditions. In return, Mando’s response of the phrase is strained. Why? Well, it’s up to interpretation—but to me, I think it’s because Mando’s in awe of the idea of these Mandalorians who have already proven their abilities to him actually coming to respect him and the Way he’s known ever since he was a child. It was a great moment of reconciliation.

3. “Is he speaking? Do you... understand him?” (Chapter 13: The Jedi)

Something I love about this line in particular is the way it’s delivered. There’s such desperation concealed behind Mando’s modulator that tells us so much about what he’s been thinking while pacing the forest floor nervously. This desperation also tells us how eager he’s been to communicate with his child. Mando and Grogu have been together for a long time, now, and we know they’ve had plenty of one-sided conversations. I’m sure Mando has longed to know what Grogu’s been thinking in return, and now that he might have an opportunity to, we can really hear that sheer curiosity and desperation in his voice with this line he offers to Ahsoka.

4. “Jet back, you’re faster that way.” (Chapter 12: The Siege)

I’m sure we all have our mixed opinions about the season one Nevarro crew, but this moment in particular really strikes the depth of their friendship and companionship. Once they’ve all heard about Moff Gideon’s return and his request to get the child once again, there’s no doubt in anyone’s minds that Mando wouldn’t be going back for him immediately. Even though the job isn’t completely done and Greef, Cara, and Mythrol all still need a way out, they don’t even try to ask for Mando’s help. Instead, Cara insists that he gets back as fast as he can, even if that means the three of them don’t make it out themselves. I really love how that shared understanding and dedication to the child in all situations shows their deep friendship amongst the trio (and Mythrol).

5. “I’ve spent much time on Tatooine. I never saw a Mandalorian there.” (Chapter 9: The Marshal)

Mando’s response to Gor Karesh insisting that he knows of a Mandalorian on Tatooine could potentially be telling us more than we’re aware of. As far as we know, Mando’s only been to Tatooine once—and it was only for two days, tops. But here, he’s saying he’s “spent much time” there, which means it’s possible that Mando lived on Tatooine for a time while the Bounty Hunter’s Guild still operated out of there. If you think about it more, Mando knew exactly where to go for some work in Chapter 5, another hint that there’s more to Mando’s time on Tatooine than we’re aware of. The same thing could be said about his knowledge of Tusken and his friendship with the Sand People. Any time we get a potential hint of Mando’s backstory, I’m excited about it!

6. “Am I under arrest?” (Chapter 10: The Passenger)

This line comes quickly in the midst of Mando’s conversation with the New Republic pilots in Chapter 10, but I really love it. These few words say a lot about Mando’s character and how he responds to praise. He’s just been told all about his heroics in Chapter 6, when he risked his own life for Lieutenant Davan and reprimanded Mayfeld, Xi’an, and Burg—and when asked whether it was true, Mando offers no confirmation. He doesn’t even own up to his good acts. Instead, he simply acts this question, remaining the practical man we know him to be. This truly shows us the humble nature of Mando and how he tries his best to focus on the present rather than dwelling on things he’s done in the past, good or bad.

7. “... talent without training is nothing.” (Chapter 16: The Rescue)

On the surface, this seems like a very practical statement that many Jedi make throughout the series (see Ahsoka talking to Mando in Chapter 13 and Obi-Wan talking to Luke in Episode IV: A New Hope). When you think about it more, especially in context, you might be able to see Luke hinting at something much deeper. Luke heard Grogu’s cry for help from the Seeing Stone where it’s very possible Grogu was talking about his desire to protect his father by strengthening his abilities. Luke knows all too well what happens when you abandon training in an attempt to protect those you love—as for him, it didn’t go well. Yoda tried to warn him but he didn’t listen. Now that he’s learned his lesson, Luke can offer this wisdom to a Grogu who wants to keep his father safe. He knows that training first will then allow Grogu to protect himself and his father to his heart’s content, just as Luke was better able to protect his friends in Episode VI after he finished his training.

8. “Okay, I’m gonna protect you.” (Chapter 14: The Tragedy)

The scene in which this line is delivered is what truly establishes this episode as a tragedy. Mando’s tried three times to break through Grogu’s Force-field—not because he wasn’t thinking, but because he was so desperate—and now he has to come to terms with the fact that he’ll only hurt himself more if he keeps trying it again and again. Mando’s voice is pretty shaky if you listen to it closely enough in these lines, reluctant to leave his child atop the mountain alone but eager to protect him somehow. We know Mando doesn’t like to feel helpless, but we can sense he feels that way in this moment. He doesn’t even know if Grogu can hear him, yet he keeps speaking to him with such fierce protectiveness and reassurance. This is a promise he doesn’t fall through with, even if Grogu does fall into the Imperials’ hands for a time.

9. “Give it to me.” (Chapter 15: The Believer)

This is the moment where we all really knew what was about to go down. What I love about this quote is that Mando says it with no remorse. He says it firmly, insisting upon doing whatever it takes to get those coordinates and get to Grogu. He’s already made up his mind. Despite the fact he gave his word earlier about not showing his face, Mando’s going to do what he has to for his son. The firm way this line is delivered proves that, especially when he shifts from taking a backseat to Mayfeld to taking charge again as he pulls the data stick right from Mayfeld’s grip. I just really love Mando’s determination in this scene, despite the circumstances.

10. “I’ll see you again. I promise.” (Chapter 16: The Rescue)

Do I particularly think this line is underrated? No, not the direct meaning of it. But when you watch Star Wars Rebels and think more about the genius of Dave Filoni, there’s a whole new layer of meaning attached to these words. For those who may not have watched the show yet (you definitely should!), Kanan and Hera are two people who care very much for each other (wink wink) who once had to exchange a goodbye very similar to Mando and Grogu. Kanan was about to go on a very dangerous mission without Hera, unsure of what would happen to him, when he delivered these words: “We’ll see each other again. I promise.” This is almost exactly what Mando says to Grogu in the face of their temporary separation. The good news is Kanan and Hera did get to see each other again—but Kanan was changed forever. Will this happen with Mando or Grogu? It’s possible. But it’s just another one of those moments that makes me yell “FILONI!” in Darth Maul style.

Request: “Happy birthday to one of the most underrated characters, Viktor Licht! Can you do headcanons for his S/O being extremely interested in not only his science knowledge but also his hobby of being a DJ? Thank you!”

A/N: I’m convinced Viktor’s DJ name would be “Marimo” and his music would sound like Rezz. For those who are confused, his character profile says his hobby is DJing and the new character book says he has a DJ setup in his room. His favorite music is EDM like dubstep and house and he also listens to reggae and rap!

When you had first bonded, it was over science.

You had been curious about Viktor and had looked up some of the eccentric researcher’s published works only to be completely blown away by some of his discoveries.

You were surprised to find he had been the Head of Research at Hajima’s Applied Combustion Science Lab and had advanced the understanding of pyrokinesis more in the three years he worked there than the company had in the past thirty years of operation. The only person who even compared to his reputation in the science community was Captain Hibana and she had her own Fire Force company.

Talk about being overqualified for Company 8.

Curious about some of his recent findings, you had come to him with a handful of questions. He had been startled by your knowledge and understanding of his research, something that had resulted in an easy conversation between you both. You talked for hours, chatting well into the next day before realizing how late it had gotten and sheepishly parting.

Every conversation you shared from then on was comfortable and exciting. You both always had something new and interesting to talk about and your mutual respect made it easy for a genuine friendship to flourish.

The way Viktor sometimes flirted with you, you started to wonder if it was more than that.

It was after a few months of this back and forth that you went to visit him and came upon him working on his laptop. He was wearing headphones, gently bobbing his head and tapping his foot to a beat you couldn't hear. You surprised him when you tapped him on the shoulder but, when he looked up and saw it was you, he smiled.

“What are you listening to?” you asked, curious about his taste in music.

“Oh, uh-” Viktor started rubbing the back of his neck, “I’m actually working on something of my own.”

When you asked him if you could listen, you swore he blushed before placing his headphones in your hand and restarting the song.

Your first reaction was surprise - you hadn't expected him to be making EDM. The electronic beat had a nice tempo and gradually built to the first drop. The melody was catchy, it had a good beat to it, and the layering of sounds was harmonious and smooth.

When the bass dropped, so did your jaw.

Viktor’s music was incredible. His style was completely unique and unlike anything you had ever heard in the best way imaginable. He combined sounds you had never even considered into melodies that were astonishingly good.

He had a mad scientist kind of energy to his music and it fit him perfectly.

When you complimented him, he perked up proudly and went on a long tangent about his inspiration and the different programs and audio equipment he likes to use. Even if he got a bit too technical at times, you could see how happy it made him to tell you about it.

(Please let him rant, he’s never had anyone to talk about this with.)

After you asked him to show you some of his music, you spent the entire night listening to EDM and talking. You both shared your favorite musicians, listening to songs back and forth as you broke down the music and talked about the artists.

When you asked Viktor what got him started in the first place, he told you how he used to be a raver in his wild younger years, hunting down shows so he could enjoy the feeling of the music and the bass. He had always been frustrated that he could never find the songs he really wanted to listen to before he realized it was because they were all inside of his head.

When you teased him, questioning him on if he had ever gone to any of the raves in the nether, he told you he had attended a few and that he was pretty good at putting on light shows. If you buy him a pack of glow sticks and string, he’ll show off his both delightful and impressive skills.

Viktor had opened up to you about how he rarely had time for his music nowadays but, over the next few weeks, he found time. He would text you, asking for your favorite songs and, that same night, he’d send you dubstep remixes or mashups. They were always incredibly well done and, soon enough, you had a personal playlist of songs tailor made for you by the man you were quickly falling for.

He basked in your praise and your support encouraged him in ways he could never properly explain. When you asked if he had ever performed, he told you his songs were something he kept to himself. All he wanted was to make good music and get the songs out of his head - he never bothered to share them with anyone.

The fact Viktor shared them with you made your heart soar in your chest.

You slowly grew closer and closer through your late night talks about science and your afternoons spent listening to music. Every conversation was warm and fun; he just felt good to be around. Every time he saw you, he would smile and you got to see the way his gaze softened for you and only you.

When Viktor finally asked you out, it felt like the most natural thing in the world. The unexpected part came when he told you about his idea for your first date.

He wanted to make a song together.

(You were the only person Viktor had ever shown his music to and he wanted your help making a song for just the two of you. I hope you realize the gravity of this, Viktor is in love with you.)

The day you spent together was full of curious exploration.

He took you walking through the streets of Tokyo, guiding you down lesser known roads and introducing you to colorful and unusual neighborhoods. You popped in and out of stores of all kinds - from bakeries to boutiques and marketplaces to curio shops - as you searched for interesting sounds he could incorporate into his music.

The chime of a bell above a grocer’s front door, the purr of a shopkeeper’s cat, a quick riff on a weathered outdoor piano; dozens of unusual sounds he would alter before adding them into his songs. They were all such mundane and ordinary noises on their own, things one wouldn’t think twice about. To Viktor, however, he heard music.

By the end of the afternoon, you had about fifty different sounds recorded, a bag full of snacks and trinkets from the various shops, and a camera roll full of fun photos from your adventure.

Viktor said he had one more stop he’d like to make before heading back and he asked if it was okay if he ordered dinner for you. He assured you that he had something in mind that you’d really enjoy and, knowing he knew all your food preferences and diet restrictions from previous conversations, you decided to trust him.

He did not disappoint.

He took you to a hole in the wall restaurant completely hidden away from the main streets of Tokyo. The place was a bit intimidating on the outside, like you’d expect there to be a gambling den hidden within, and you asked him how he found this place. He just laughed and told me that a friend took him here once before holding the door open for you.

Ordering food to go, you returned to Viktor’s place and began working on the song together. You both curled up on the couch with his laptop, going through all the sounds he had recorded and the pictures you had taken. You ate some of the best food you had ever had as you flirted and laughed and, when he asked for your opinion as he worked, he truly listened.

By the end of the night, you had made a song together. It sounded perfect.

You already knew he was a talented musician but the fact that you were able to help him make such a great song makes you feel on top of the world. More than that, you felt amazing knowing that the man you had fallen in love with had included you in his life like this.

As you sat curled up on his couch together, listening to the song you had both made on your first date, he kissed you. Just like every step of your relationship, it felt like the most natural thing in the world; like you were two melodies from the same love song finding your way back to each other.

Viktor named the piece after you and put it on a flash drive in your favorite color, gifting it to you as a present from your day together. From then on, he always asked you for your help with his music. He wanted to hear your opinion on which sounds you liked better, on the tempo of this beat, on the drop in that song, anything. Your praise meant everything to him and encouraged him to make time for his music again.

More than anything, he loved the time you spent together, curled up in each others’ arms as you talked about science and listened to music. He had gotten so lost in his mission that he forgot to make time to be happy. And with you, he was at his happiest.

JOSH AND DONNA WEDDING HEADCANONS!!

first of all, josh wakes up, or more likely, is already awake late at night, and calls sam

“i’m gonna do it, sam”

 “like now?”

 “what’s the likelihood she’ll say yes?”

“at this hour, not likely.”

josh then decides to call toby directly after and is met with a lovely string of sleepy curses about how it is the middle of the night and there was no reason to call him at this “ungodly hour”

he softens when he realizes why josh called so late and that there is a reason

josh acts incredibly weird around donna for the next two weeks

 one minute he’s tense with her, the next he’s as clingy as a koala bear

he asks her weird and vague questions—by proxy

he gets cj to subtly mention engagements and marriage subtly to see what donna would like

“my cousin, tracy, she just got engaged.”

“oh really?”

 “yeah he asked her in central park.”

 “i wouldn’t like that, being around all those strangers. but i guess if you’re in front of friends and family, it wouldn’t be too bad”

*cue cj secretly taking notes*

 sam is his test dummy, as in he uses sam to practice proposing to donna

 “wow you’re really bad at this”

 “i’ve never done this before, sam”

 “i have and i can tell you right now you have it all wrong”

 sam was actually pretty reluctant but once he found out he was gonna be josh’s best man, he warmed up

 josh recruits sam and toby to write a speech of some sorts

he gets so stressed about it, toby slaps him and tells him to pull what little shit he has left together

since we all agree that jed is basically like josh’s second dad, josh goes to bartlet right before he does it

little sidenote: abbey knows because cj let it slip that josh was proposing and because i believe mrs bartlet is the number one josh and donna shipper, she insists the that she’s in on it

 abbey throws a dinner party in manchester that is really a disguise for donna’s proposal

 donna can’t help but feel like everyone is staring at her

 everyone is here: jed, abbey, toby, cj, sam, ginger, bonnie, charlie, ellie, and zoey

after dinner, abbey invites everyone into the parlor for some “celebratory”champagne

in true donna fashion, she asks what their celebrating

 everyone directs their eyes to josh because well it’s his fucking turn to speak and he hasn’t said a damn word all night

 josh gives his little spiel about his and donna’s relationship (with donna’s little quips in between) until he finally asks her

 donna doesn’t say anything at first

 then she takes the ring out of his hand, studies it, then puts it back in his hand

 he thinks that it means no and so does everyone else (abbey’s silently cursing) and his eyes even start to well up despite him not wanting them to

 “well, are you just gonna look at or am i gonna be the future mrs. josh lyman?”

 the look on josh’s face was a mix of relief, love, and happiness—to donna, it was priceless

 they kiss of course

 abbey is the first to see donna’s ring

 which, of course, looks like this:

 josh loves saying “my fiancée”

 donna secretly (not so secretly) also loves saying “my fiancé”

SUMMER WEDDING (specifically the middle of august)

 abbey insists they hold the wedding at the bartlet farm and while josh initially declines, abbey sits him and down and tells him they’re gonna get married under this roof or “so help me god”

 SIDENOTE: this is really me letting my inner wedding planner (and chronic self-projector) out of me so prepare yourself

PEONIES & GARDENIAS (gardenias are my favorite flower)

 donna was one of those who dreamed of a white wedding but it clearly didn’t go to plan

SHE’S the one calming down josh because he absolutely is going berserk and is panicking

abbey becomes donna’s right-hand woman, going dress shopping with her and giving her advice as a former bride and current wife

donna is superstitious—she goes by the now famous rhyme something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue

 her something old is a pearl necklace from her mom

 her something new is a little belt that goes around the waist of her dress

 something borrowed is a pink ribbon her childhood best friend tied around her wedding bouquet

 the something blue are these little blue earring studs josh got for her before they were engaged

 abbey helps donna pick out her dress along with cj, ginger, her mother, and bonnie

she eventually picks this dress:

 AFTERNOON WEDDING

 (i actually used this game to design the dress that i felt suited donna—go to azaleasdolls.com and go to exclusive games, scroll a little, and there should be that wedding game)

to be frank, i do not know what the respective bachelor and bachelorette parties would be like, but i know i would prefer to be at the bachelorette party

donna starts crying right before she has to walk down the aisle but manages to pull herself together before walking out

 sidenote: jed would gladly walk donna down the aisle if her father could somehow not make it (thats just a cute one bc donna and jed friendship is totally underrated)

 i’m telling you right now, this is one of the only times josh lyman has cried in front of people

 he sees her walking to him and he just mentally kicks himself because he didn’t see what was so perfectly clear for everyone else

 god he loves her

 when donna gets next to him, she whispers “stop blubbering or you’re gonna make me ruin my makeup”

 the wedding vows are unbelievably so josh and donna-esque

 even sam starts crying a little bit

 charlie likes to bring it up but sam denies it ever happened

 “my allergies just happened to be very inflamed that day and i had spring fever”

 “sam it was the dead of summer”

 RECEPTION TIMEEEEE

 sam’s best man speech is a little drunk but who cares it’s funny and josh and donna watch back the tape in their free time after they first get married

 they have a fairly decent sized wedding

 guests consist of family, friends, former and current staffers

 when they cut the cake, donna 100% smashed a piece in josh’s face

 it was a vanilla, three-tier cake and it was gorgeous

 in response, he gently dotted her nose with frosting before absolutely demolishing a piece on her face

their first dance is to just the way you are by billy joel bc i really like that song and i’m self projecting again

josh LOVES saying “my wife”

it is “my wife this” and “my wife that”

and donna wonders why she married the dork

she takes his last name but also keeps her so she becomes Donna Moss-Lyman

she does typically go by mrs. lyman when being addressed though (she thinks it has a nice ring to it) 

 THEY HONEYMOONED IN ITALY—i’m talking the amalfi coast (i’m only saying that because i just happen to be a huge harry styles fan and that’s where the golden mv was filmed and we’re getting sidetracked so that was just a little tidbit)

 they went to rome and to that statue thing audrey hepburn and gregory peck put their hands into in Roman Holiday

 y’know this one:

in conclusion, the wedding was very beautiful and josh and donna really got the wedding of their dreams

top 5 gastina moments

top 5 bromances (any fandom)

Gastina moments? You threw me a curveball didn't you since I love all of them, but I'll try to give you a couple

1. The blindfold scene S1E73-74

It is not the most iconic Gastina scene without a reason. It just is such a cute scene and shows a respectful Gastón really is, always respecting her boundaries. I also have the headcanon about the scarf and how Luna gave it to Nina afterward, and I wish this would have been implemented in the show and we could have seen Nina wear it.

2. The locker scene S2E2

we always joke on this fandom that S2 was the season where they started serving that hormone juice at Roller. I just love this scene, because it gives us a pretty good scope on how they actually act when there is no one else around and even in public they were not exactly shy on PDA. I have full analysis of this scene coming so I gonna refrain from saying anything else here.

3. Videomessage -> kiss S1E79-80

How could I exclude THE scene where Gastina became canon?

Okay, I actually picked a bit more unconventional scenes for the last two. These scenes are some that you don't usually think of when you think iconic Gastina moments and they are definitely underrated. But I'll explain why I love these

4. "Should I be jealous?" S2E35

This is the scene right before the Oxford fight when they talk about Nina's post about Roller team. Why I really love this scene is the exchange where Gastón says that he kind of misses Felicity and Nina shoots back about if she should be jealous. I love the call back to the start of their relationship.

5. Scene at the lockers in S2E36

This is a really unconventional choice to say that this is a good Gastina scene since they are actually kind of broken up during this (I don't personally think that they were broken broken up during this, but it is very hard to tell since there are like three different scenes that you can consider as their S2 break-up scene.), but this is such a good scene. They are in a fight and Gastón is angry at Nina for a good reason, but he never badmouths her or even shouts at her and even hears her out. Lutteo could never do that, Leonatta has never managed it or any other Violetta couple. I have a full essay about this scene as well

And now the bromances, so I get to flex out my other fandoms. These are not in any particular order except the no. 1.

- Manuel and Gopal (Aliados)

I have not been able talk about my love for Aliados very much. Manuel is without any question of my favorite characters and that is not only because he is played by Agus. Manuel and Gopal had probably the best missions x ally dynamic. Their relationship really started when Gopal saver Manuel's life and as a result left the mirror (even if that was Germing and Damon's intention). Then of course Gopal saved Manuel's life again after he attempted to commit suicide. Do I only love them because this was the start of MYA? Maybe, but the relationship is still super unique because it started with Manuel thinking that he was crazy seeing Gopal in the mirror and in the end accepting that he did exist, and due to that Manuel actually became the first one to be aware of the light beings. I know this probably did not make any sense to people who have not seen Alioados, but that is how I feel. Go watch the show, it is dark and mentally very taxing, but very good.

- Harry Potter and Ron Weasley (Harry Potter)

My original favorite male friendship! I am a big but passive Potter head who loves Ron Weasley too much. Ron was Harry's first friend, the one who provided him the family he never had. Golden trio is the golden trio, but Ron and Harry are still Ron and Harry, and Hermione doesn't compare. If someone doesn't agree, then go read Goblet of fire. - Newt Scamander and Jacob Kowalski (Fantastic Beasts)

Have I ever mentioned that I love Newt and Jacob? It's really hard to explain, but their dynamic just works

I sincerely hope that no one is surprised. If you are, you must be new here. You all know how much I love Gastteo. They are how you do a healthy male friendship right. They are not afraid to be vulnerable with each other, they say that they love each other, give each other hugs when the other is feeling down and more. You know how much I love them already and they need a happy ending as well

Girl yes!! Their friendship is so underrated and I love it so much!!

1. When I think they became friends

I think the two of them met when Angie joined the Studio (I kind of have the feeling that Beto has been working there for longer but I'm not sure why), and that Beto like, made it a point to be a one man welcoming comitee and to show her everything she needed to know about the school. And of course it was a chaotic mess because that's Beto we're talking about, but it did make Angie feel welcome because she got to instantly meet someone she liked.

2. My favorite scene of them

3. A random headcanon I have of them

I think neither of them ever needed to come out as bi to each other, they just looked at each other and instantly Knew.

4. My favorite thing about them

Just how much respect they have for each other!! Both of them are a little bit odd and eccentric and get some weird looks from some of the other teachers at times, but they never ever do that to each other. They have so much respect for each other both as people and as teachers and I love to see it!

5. A scene I wish we had of them

No specific scenes are coming to mind right now, but I just wanna see more of them in general please.

8. Who I think is the "crazier" one

I mean I know the right answer here is definitely Beto, the man just has an aura of chaos that follows him wherever he goes, but Angie is more chaotic than people give her credit for too. They're just chaotic music teacher besties and I love it.

Spidey *Descendants* Ships:

I've answered the questions about ships I like through a tier system ages ago but I feel like listing them again. This is probably going to be a long post, since as I said I ship a lot. If anything isn't on here it's because I don't care or don't think about them enough.

Category: Babies™/I would die for them/none will compare to how strongly I love them aka my favourite ships

Rotten ot4 (Mal/Carlos/Evie/Jay) - I write a lot of ot4, it's where my mind naturally goes for them because I love all of the dynamics within that too much. Marlos are my fave dynamic within that tho.

Malvie + Jaylos - I can ship these outside of the ot4. I like them a lot and either way I ship these, these two will always be romantic for me. The other dynamics I only ship within an ot4 scenario, or platonically.

Category: the good shit/iconic King and Queen shit/ships I really like but I'm not as passionate about

Huma + Sea 3 - these are two very good ships and again it can be romantic or platonic for me, both are good.

Sea 3 + Ben - I really like all of their interactions and I can very much get into the idea of them as an ot4

Ben + Harry - I think it's the "coochie coo" thing that did it for me, I think they have a lot of potential and if not explicitly romantic then Harry at the very least flirts with Ben on a daily basis

Category: soft™/these are nice to think about/filed under cuties but I don't think about them as much

Benlos (Ben/Carlos) - every now and again I get random thoughts about them, because they're cute 🥺 and I like them dancing together in D1. (I also think of them as a brotp and very occasionally as an ot5)

Jannie (Jane/Lonnie) - the potential!!!! I feel like they'd be super cute and I can see them going on double dates with Jaylos a lot. I am a sucker for tall and smol pairings where you think the one who's small is quiet but they're actually super badass and the tall badass one but is super soft for her gf. Yes!!!!!!

Luma (Lonnie/Uma) - I think I'm the only one that actually ships this but I just feel like they'd be really good together. The potential is there! I feel like they'd always be sparring together and I feel like they're a good match. I can really see it and I feel like Uma would have a lot fo respect for Lonnie and vise versa.)

Gil/Jay - they're cute. I am very low-key about them, because I'm so into rotten ot4 and Jaylos I'm never fully in with these two. But I still appreciate the cuteness and I feel like they'd be really good bros.

Category: hmmm/the potential/I don't think about them a lot but they're okay or exes only

Balvie - cuteeeee. Like they'd be super cute and they'd be able to balance one another out quite well. This is really only how I can get into Ben/Mal as a romantic ship, idk for me I just need Evie in there. They're like brawn, brain and beauty all mixed into one ot3, there's not a lot of content for them but I'm definitely into the idea.

Umal (Mal/uma) - I only like them as exes. I don't care for anything where they're written as enemies, I'm tired of that. Umal as besties that occasionally flirt with one another to get a rise out of the other, or as exes. None of this enemies crap, I'm not here for it.

Jarry (Jay/Harry) - again, only ever as exes. I don't think they'd ever get together in any other capacity. I like their dynamic and their banter, so I can see them as a brotp who bicker like they're a married couple, but nothing mroe than that. So both Uma and Mal, and Harry and Jay have a banter type friendship (at least in my mind)

Ot5 (Rotten ot4 + Ben) - only in specific circumstances, but I do think the potential is there and I like them. I am reading a really good ot5 fic that has such good potential and for someone who is very low-key about them it's one of my favourite fics within this fandom. So not always but definitely not against them either!

Category: brotps I could get behind ✌️/platonic only

Jay + Ben - bonding over tourney, Jay teasing Ben about how he has a crush on every VK he meets.

Mal + Jay + Ben - banter Central, Mal and Jay teasing Ben, Ben fully encouraging both Jay and Mal in tourney and art. I feel like Ben would be super supportive and it would definitely throw Mal and Jay off a lot

Evie + Harry - Harry as Evie's model because he loves to talk about fashion and he's open to any fashion ideas she has. A very soft and playful friendship is what I imagine.

Carlos + Harry + Mal - the chaotic three. I feel like they're pranking constantly, they're the Kings and Queen of comebacks because they've always got a one-liner up their sleeves. They're always bantering and bickering, but I feel like they're a very underrated friendship and they have a lot of potential

Uma + Carlos (and probably Evie) - study buddies. They're the squad that are constantly rolling their eyes at the others and judging people together. Smart and resourceful and they're the squad that captures everyone's attention because they have A+ looks

Mal + Harry - nicknames galore. Bantering non-stop, but also a side of softness because they can just vibe when the other is upset. Silly shenanigans and teasing one another relentlessly. The type of friends to send an "ugly" photo of the other in the group chat.

Rotten four + Sea 3 - like just give me this squad and explore the different dynamics between them. I don't want any fighting, I just want them as a super squad kicking ass and working through their traumas together. That's all.

D*vie (D***/Evie) - never. I have a very fond hc where Evie infact buries D*** in her castle garden and that's the nicest thing I can think of when it comes to them. I didn't like him from the start and if anything the more I see him the more I despise him.

Anything with Chad - sorry, I just don't like him. He's good for blaming, like if I'm writing something where someone says something to the Vks it's usually him as the antagonist type. There's no ship I care for his presence in. I think I saw one gifset months back with Chad and Ben having a cute/dorky interaction but otherwise I could not care less about him.

Honestly, anything with Audrey in too is generally a no-go for me. I just don't care. I don't like Audrey at all, I can sympathise with some things but not enough to make me want to ship her with anyone. That's all I'm going to say.
