The thing that gets me about history and humanity is that you never know what is immortalized, and the things that will be immortalized are things you would never think.

I saw a person sharing a new tattoo, and it was one of Onfim's drawings. A boy who lived so long ago he is barely a blip now, but his drawings meant so much to people that somebody is now permanently marked in their skin with one of those drawings. Do you ever look at the things you make and just sit there and wonder if this is the thing that future people look at? Do you ever look at your art, your writing, your schoolwork, or anything that is yours and just wonder who will find it, who will fall in love with a piece of your humanity and become overwhelmed with emotion over? It's not unlikely. It's not totally unlikely that somebody will find a piece of you in the distant future and devoid of any other context of who you were will still love you because you were here. You were here, and you are still here, even hundreds or thousands of years later. Treat yourself with the same love that so many have for dear Onfim.

My first instinct was to get pissed at him on my Zoro’ss behalf, but after some thought I’m more worried that we’re genuinely starting to fucking lose Sanji. Cause this tone and phrasing is so strangely personal? Maybe he’s trying to motivate him, but to me this feels a little more in line with the comments he was making to Jinbe earlier that feel a bit like they might be caused by the mutation…? And I understand Jinbe being worried that Zoro is taking so long with Lucci, but for Sanji to react like this is so odd, since a constant in their rivalry is mutual trust. a few days ago when we were driving home in the dark in windy and rainy weather after getting two of my siblings from the train we, for the first time in my lifetime im pretty sure, hit a deer that was crossing the street, none of us saw them before they got caught in the headlights and the first one made it over but we werent yet slow enough to not hit the second one ...

the deer lived but was kinda stunned, my dad pushed it off the street and while we were still on the phone with police it got up and ran away but my parents car got damaged and while its still drivable there are several parts that got bent and since its an older model too it might be hard to get it repaired

anyway, i didnt know deer fur was that grey until i saw it stuck to our bumper :(

my trials as possibly the one singular person who cares about the larger worldbuilding lore of the riordanverse is figuring out what the difference between harpies, sirens, and bird nymphs (from Artemis' retinue) are. what are the distinctions between these bird women.

#pjo #riordanverse #anyways my current distinction is that harpies are like. the most bird and bird nymphs are the least bird #sirens im going with the top half is almost totally human and then bottom half is all bird like a bird woman centaur type situation #cause thats a common interpretation in statues and some ancient art and that feels nicely distinct from harpies #with harpies being like. basically all bird with a human face usually #except i have to also give them weird hands incorporated into their wings #cause pjo canonically they can do tasks that require opposable thumbs. like DRIVING apparently #im sort of splitting the difference by having there be multiple variants of harpies in varying levels of anthro #so like Ella is a lot more humanoid than some other harpies for instance #and then bird nymphs are basically near entirely human but with just bird legs/maybe tail and maybe wings somewhere (back / head / or arms)
