The Iron Giant is a 1999 American animated science fiction film produced by Warner Bros. Feature Animation and directed by Brad Bird in his directorial debut. It is based on the 1968 novel The Iron Man by Ted Hughes (which was published in the United States as The Iron Giant) and was written by Tim McCanlies from a story treatment by Bird. so the story behind this pic is if you have watched the extended version of the movie there is an added scene where the iron giant as a nightmare while he is sleeping that shows a brief glimpse of what he is and where he came from, basically it shows he was part of huge robot army that are all clones of him and they would go through out space destroying planets and my mind instantly thought sequel material! I thought up a story where an alien race visits earth and confronts hograth and the giant and explains who the giant originally is and where he came from and earth is in danger of being invaded by the robot army. so then hograth and the giant go out into space to stop the robot army before is reaches earth. also I put in the story the robot army is controlled by an advanced AI computer that was created by the alien race but soon got out their control. also i put in the story the hograth and the giant becomes part of space force that defending planets from the robot army. anyway, if my sequel idea ever become a movie this pic would the poster for it. I may or may not write a full fanfiction out of my story, it depends on how free time I have on my hands.
