you didn't say sorry, not really. you said sorry only when i pushed about it, you said it like an afterthought, like - oh fine, if this is what you want. the apology was already tearing itself apart in the air. you said sorry, but you caused this. you said sorry you feel that way, i guess. you said: what else do you want me to say? you've already made up your mind to be angry about this.
you've moved on since then. i hope you found a therapist. i am stuck with all of the hurt you caused but - you've been working on yourself, on your multiple projects, on that beautiful life you live. happy - you look happier, lighter, free of all of it. you take artsy videos of yourself dancing; caption it - a friend recently abandoned me.
nobody else knows how hard you pushed. nobody else knows what you did. i am sure you tell everyone a version of the truth that makes out the best of you; turns me into a cold unfeeling bitch who just "doesn't understand" you. i am sure you leave out all the ways i gave you myself, over and over, for years. how many times before this you hurt me, crossed my boundaries, laid me bare - what you say to them about when i finally drew the line is - she is just being unfair.
sometimes i feel insane about it. i have to text my best friend, make sure that what-i-think-happened actually-happened. to double-check that i wasn't being a bad person. maybe i'm misremembering it. she often has to guide me back to the same two facts: beyond what any one person could reasonably expect, i gave you everything, and you still wanted more of it.
it makes me angry, when it doesn't make me sick. i force myself to journal about it. how fucked up it makes me, knowing your narrative will be the one that sticks - knowing you are out there, right now, making sure everyone listens. telling them how you are being targeted. how you, hurting me on purpose, making me feel small, ignoring my needs - how that was really my fault, in the end.
yesterday you made a post on instagram talking about how you used to feel guilty about something that had gone wrong in a relationship, but that you've freed yourself from those toxic idealisms. you said: i am not giving her the power to make me feel bad about my mistakes. i am just a human person - it's up to her if she wants to be the bigger person and actually forgive.
and i just sat there and thought: you haven't even actually apologized for it.

Recentering Christ in Christmas
(original post on my Instagram)
"Keep Christ in Christmas" is often lauded by reactionaries in their crusade in the so-called culture war. There is a fear amongst them that Jesus Christ can somehow be removed from the very essence of Christmas. And that the only way to "protect" Jesus is for the mainstream culture to be blatantly Christian and the corporate world to sell us a specifically religious Christmas.
Christians should not be concerned with such worldly matters. Capitalism and its systemic nature of greed, consumption, and waste should not be the center of our Christmas.
We should have no desire to align Jesus Christ with the worldly powers of capital. Rather, this is an encouragement for centering religious practice and embodiment.
It has become profoundly clear that more people are becoming disillusioned by capitalism. There has been a long critique of the festive consumerism that has been a part of Christmas for hundreds of years... and has only gotten more extreme in the past century. So consider this an invitation into the spiritual root of Christmas.
Let us talk about the birth of Jesus Christ. More specifically, recognizing the Christ that is all around us.
Christmas is not a story without suffering. Christmas is a story surrounded by darkness and despair.
The world Jesus was born into was far from ideal, both historically and mythologically. Christ was born from an unwed mother who was forcibly displaced along with her fiancé. The people of this land were living under the Roman occupation and were coerced into obeying the laws of this empire.
After being born, Christ was placed into a lowly manger, since the Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph were only able to take shelter along with the animals.
This is where God chose to be born.
Throughout the Gospel, Jesus identifies Himself as literally being the poor, the foreigner, the infirm, the prisoner, and the hungry. It is clear why Christ was born in that manger in destitution, and not amongst the wealthy who were happily aligned with the state.
The Logos (the pre-existent Jesus Christ) was intentional in where They would manifest themselves in this world.
When upon approaching the liturgical calendar, it is important to note that Advent and then Christmas mark the cycle of rebirth of Jesus Christ. For Christ is not born just once, but again and again perpetually.
This Advent and Christmas, I encourage you to look around you and seek out the Christ child (He is closer, and more relevant, than you might expect). Meditate on the True Peace that comes from Liberation and allow that Peace to be your guide. And find time to rest in the Hope of God's promise to us: we belong to Love.

Holy Week: The Cleansing of the Temple
Tumblr media
I have seen multiple people on Instagram talking about Jesus cleansing the temple in the final week of his ministry and misinterpreting the motive Jesus had for doing it. So let's talk about the details we can glean from Scripture to better understanding this story.
The temple complex had merchants who would sell animals to people they could use for sacrifices. The law of Moses in Leviticus 5 (see also Leviticus 14-15) talks about how the sin offering involves sacrificing a lamb or a kid goat. In the case of extreme poverty, two doves were the acceptable alternatives. These offerings would be bled on the Temple altar and burned.
And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves. —Matt 21:13
The act of selling these animals was not the problem. It was a necessary part of the temple functioning, especially as people traveled from far distances to participate in temple worship.
The problem that caused Jesus to walk through the stalls turning over tables brandishing a whip was price gouging. Theft, of both money and access to God.
Everything that happened in the temple complex was under the direction of the high priest, the most important figure in Judaism at the time. The animals provided would've been inspected and assured that they would meet the requirements of the law. In a world where various monies were in use, weighed with scales to meet the established exchange rates, nothing would've prevented the high priest from requiring bribes from the privilege of operating in the temple market. Nothing would've prevented the scales from being turned against those who price gouged the public to provide for those bribes, as well as to line their own pockets. All of this happened at the expense of the people who were required by divine law to make these sacrifices to achieve forgiveness of their sins.
Throughout the New Testament, Jesus repeatedly demonstrates his disdain for the senior-most leadership of Judaism in his day. He had condemned the love of money and status over people so many times. He had disrupted ceremonies and insulted the priests to their faces. He had criticized their poor understanding of the law and their duties to others in their community. He had called them hypocrites, a den of vipers, vessels that were clean on the outside but filthy within, whited sepulchres full of dead men's bones, predators akin to wolves in sheep's clothing, and unprofitable servants. And here, he engages in his most pointed and unapologetic criticism yet for those in power:
And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. —Matt 21:13
The agitation of Jesus Christ culminated in this exact moment, where he struck back against the Establishment not only in thought, but in their pocketbooks. In the destruction of the temple market, he restored access to the ordinances for all by front the animals to those who were present. He liberated the money to the oppressed in society by flinging it outside the reach of those who had taken it from them. He upturned the power structure and social order which placed the high priest as a wealthy superior over, rather than a humble servant to, the Jewish community.
Make no mistake: Jesus was a Jew. He loved his community and his faith. He loved God. He respected the law, which called his people to be the best versions of themselves to serve God. But this love didn't stop him from publicly criticizing and condemning moral failure in the leadership around him. Love does not enable abuse. And it was abuse that allowed Jewish leadership at the time to limit access to the most important, the most sacred ordinances in Judaism only to those who were willing and able to pay enough money.
What do we learn from Jesus from the destruction of the temple market?
That some evil forces in society cannot be reformed. Reasoning with abusers in ways they don't have to acknowledge, that doesn't cost them anything, isn't a solution for the powerless. That people are more important than money and the economy. That there is restorative justice waiting for the oppressed, in the form of destruction for their oppressors. And when this happens, a greater increase of faith, healing, and power from heaven will follow.
And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them. Matt. 21:14
This Easter season, this is the hope and prayer for many: that God will remember those who have been shut out of their communities because of the exorbitant prices set by their leadership for their participation. That God will restore access to the holiness and forgiveness that has been stolen from them. That there is still a Savior, a Deliverer from the greed and pride that drives this world. And most of all, that there is healing and rest for those who have been exploited against their will, that all that has been stolen will be restored to them one day.

Have We Rejected Christ? He Hasn’t Rejected Us
Verse of the day
========================
+Mark 6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James and Joseph and Judas and Simon? Are not His sisters here with us?” And they took offense at Him.
‭‭=========================
Topic: Have We Rejected Christ? He Hasn’t Rejected Us
=========================
** SAY THIS BEFORE YOU READ; HERE’S SOME CHRISTIAN AFFIRMATION **
I AM ACCEPTING CHRIST
I AM NOT OFFENDED
I AM FREE
I AM A CONQUEROR THROUGH JESUS
********************************
Thoughts
=======================
When Jesus walked this earth, plenty of people rejected him, and they often reminded him where he came from; most of all, they called him out by his name, but we still do that today we reject him, and it’s plenty of reason why people reject him then and rejects him now, it’s because they didn’t want to give up the comforts of life to accept repentance or because they didn’t believe. We do this today when we sin when we pick our desires of obsessive drinking or smoking to find peace. Don’t get me wrong; some people smoke because of pain and such that’s different than smoking to find peace or to not deal with the decisions we have made. REJECTION
We reject him when we take on false philosophies and new age ideas; we reject him when we don’t read or word or pray; we reject his presence, today the world has picked feeling good about themselves over Christ; they have picked to remove the Ten Commandments and prayer and have picked changing science books and health classes to suite peoples emotions. REJECTION
“Matthew 11:6 And blessed is the one who is not offended by me.” Jesus was saying here blessed in the ones that never lose faith in me, that never rejected me, that never turn away from me because he knew it would be rumors; he knew that people would doubt and say this or that, but he knew that it would be people that will love him and accept what he says and apply it and change, it was sinners that sat with him not the Pharisees or the Sadducee no not them those where some of the people that reject him, it’s people today that know the way but rejects it because they want to be part of the world they want to be famous and known and have Facebook status and Instagram status but what status do you have in God where is your heart in God ???
“1 Peter 2:4 As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious,”
We come to the living stone; every day, we as believers come to the stone everyone rejected, but God has chosen; God chose his son to save us from our own selfish ways and our mindsets; he wanted to save us from what we thought was true, he wanted to save us from what we felt we needed, and honestly we all are searching for him, it doesn’t matter how long you have been serving it’s about to do you accept his teaching, it’s about to do you change what he says is wrong, or do you continue to deny and reject his call and his teachings.
Rejection means to dismiss or refuse; how many of us have refused to turn to the living stone and to drink the living water? How many of us reject time with God to watch tv or How many of us reject his presence to over sleep? How many of us continue to go down this path? How many of us continue to reject and reject that one day it might be too late for us?
“John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
**Today, stop dismissing his presence, stop dismissing his word, because that’s why we have the problems; we have anxiety and depression because we are too busy holding on to things to fill us. Instead of letting him fill us, we let prescription pills fill us, then him; we allow our liquor and other things to fill us, then him, because it’s instant. Right, but what do we turn to when those things don’t work? Jesus is the only way to peace; he’s the only way to deliverance; he’s the only way to joy! ©Seer~ Prophetess Lee

Prayer
========================
Heavenly Father, thank you for today; thank you for life, health, and strength; Father, we don’t want to reject Christ anymore; we don’t want to reject his love anymore, Father, we don’t want to reject Him. Father, thank you for giving us mercy and grace every day; thank you for saving us from ourselves. Lord, every day we look for you, and we need you to help us change! We need you to be our best friend, Father; we need you more than anything in this world; Father, protect the ones that have a fear of leaving their home, a fear of being in public places; lord, we ask you to cover them in your blood to top of their head to the souls of their feet in Jesus Mighty Name Amen.

True Love Is Worth The Wait And You Are Worth Waiting For. God's Promise Are Worth Waiting For
By Faith Ferguson
"I have noticed that a common factor in the women of today; is satan is attacking a women's relationship with her future spouse, by attacking not only their place in this world but also their identity with insecurity. Women of today are faced with the constant question from satan "Are you really good enough?" "Who would love you?" "Do you really think your husband would choose you, when there are better people all around?" Most of the questions we face as women are all mainly based around satans insecurity of us. For us women to be with the man God called us to be with is a threat to satan and is a constant insecurity to his plans against humanity. That is why you can see almost every where you look, companies are trying to cut marriage out of thing like in the new live action film of "The Little Mermaid," where they cut the wedding scene from the movie at the end or even in the new live action film of "Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs, " where they have cut the romance out and the scenes where she is wait for true love even praying to God. They even have basically divorced the relationship between barbie and ken in the new, "Barbie" movie. I was on Instagram a couple of days ago and i even read that Disney ... #NotWaltdisney has decided to divorce Mickey And Minnie Mouse. Everywhere you look they are encouraging women either not believe in marriage or want to be married; little own wait for their prince... the man God created for them to be with. We need as women to stop taking these attacks at our womanhood and children's womanhood so lightly; because they are all encouraged by satan to keep women from not only the man God created for them to be with but also from a relationship with Jesus Christ. Even with all these new changes created in movies to attack our womanhood; my heart is also aware of the attack on men as well. Most of these changes in films rejecting marriage aka Gods plan for two soulmates created by God for each other, these movies are designed to dishearten men from showing chivalry, waiting for their bride and honouring their future spouse. Causing men to ask the same questions that satan is getting women to ask themselves, and from these questions, they burn into the soul deep with insecurity, and that leads people into making mistakes in fear and hopelessness. Whether you are a man or a women who is being attacked on your identity by satan with these remarks.
To Women: you need to know that the wait is worth it and you are worth waiting for. You are God's daughter, you are deserving of true love, you have a man God has chosen especially for you that loves you, if i am you are created by the heart of God and you are valued over all of creation in Jesus Christ's eyes. Not let satan cause you to doubt your worth.
To Men: you need to know that the wait is worth it and you are worth waiting for. You are God's Son, you are deserving of true love, you have a Women God has chosen especially for you that loves you, if i am you are created by the heart of God and you are valued over all of creation in Jesus Christ's eyes. Not let satan cause you to doubt your worth.
Don't let the enemy cause you to believe that you are not worthy of the spouse God has created and anointed you to be with. Your spouse loves you and is waiting for you. Seek God with all your heart and ignore satans lies. Your spouse is worth the wait and your future spouse loves you. Waiting for true love is not a waste of time and love is never hopeless. What God has created for you is worth every moment of waiting and praying.
Stay in faith and stay in love."

when i talk like this the holy spirit in me is never grieved, but if i shut up about it its grieved. im not claiming prophet status with jonah but that is the lesson of that book. if i ever grabbed a gay man or woman and shook them violently and beat them let them come forward and accuse me now, its not a sin to tell the truth, and im speaking out against liars and the lie, tumblr, reddit, twitter, instagram, these are digital pharisees, they present and enforce the laws of men which god asked not of you, respect peoples pronouns, respect their homosexuality and idolatry, sin itself is held in reverence to the extent you cant call it what it is, these are the laws of men, and they count themselves virtuous for following the laws of men. many will be deceived. is there hell for the toxic or heaven for the politically correct? if you follow the laws of men to an absolute T you will die surely, but if you follow the laws of god and have faith in jesus christ you will surely live forever.

jesus my christ. i’m in puerto rico and have been for a week. i try to baptize myself but i can no longer hear god. i must sleep. i do not care for coffee. my addictions have let themselves out the door before i could face them. i have visions of my past with no words spoken. if i had only known what i know now. what turned my learning optimism to a persecutory witch hunt. Harper, how did you lose it all?
i mean. i didn’t. i still have an apartment. all my friends are there. but this thought in my mind, that i could be anyone else, that it is easy to blame me, nobody can hear me speak on here. i don’t have instagram. i don’t have twitter. you can’t follow me. i’ve been away most of the year from my apartment. i’ve said some condemning things. i’ve cut a lot of conniving people out of my life. i don’t trust them to want what’s best for me because they are desperate. isn’t that action itself desperate measure? what am i meant to provide? i haven’t read in a while. i used to watch films every day. i think i’m more listened to than i can give myself credit for. but i am not friendly. i have had to not be friendly and show all of myself. i had to stop myself from showing all of my love because i was afraid of what was going to happen to it. i was a coward. i was a coward. i was a coward. i was a coward. i didn’t want the people around me to get better and not give anything back to me because they’re incapable. my freedom has been taken by the US government. desperate measures. i’m still a coward. how do i find somebody with advice? i try and find others that are helping themselves through young adulthood. i am looking for answers in the absence of god.

God doesn’t whisper on sexual sin. His love for sinners keeps him from doing that. He doesn’t whisper on sexual sin—because he doesn’t whisper on his love for sinners.
God isn’t ashamed of the gospel. He isn’t embarrassed by his word. He isn’t anxious about telling people good things that might offend them. God isn’t afraid to tell the truth about sexual sin.
God isn’t tempted to lie about pornography, fornication, adultery—and especially, homosexuality and transgenderism.
He loves sinners too much for that. God isn’t tempted to hide his love, mercy, and grace from homosexual and transgender people. God isn’t like you and me. God loves LGBTQ people more than we do. So we should act like it.
This month is, of course, Pride month. Our culture celebrates homosexuality and transgenderism. Our neighbours celebrate and parade evil as good and good as evil. Therefore many Christians are increasingly tempted to become sympathetic or supportive of homosexuality and transgenderism.
A few days ago, a person sent me a message asking:
“On the topic of sin and homosexuality I wanted your Biblical perspective as I work with many gay married people and I never know how to respond. [I] understand the Bible says acting on homosexual behavior is a sin same as hating your neighboor. [I] understand the Bible defines marriage as a man and women. So then how are homosexuals who have come to Christ then to carry out there lives? Are they to watch heterosexual people have marriages and families only bc the Bible defined it that way? Seems heart breaking.”
Judging from some of the comments by professing Christians on my recent Instagram post about homosexuality, many professing Christians are tempted to disagree with what the Bible says about homosexuality and LGBTQ issues.
According to the Pew Research Center, 54% of professing Christians believe homosexuality “should be accepted”, and only 38% believe it should be discouraged.
This is because many professing Christians believe they love LGBTQ people more than God does.
In my reply to the person who messaged me about homosexuality, I suggested it isn’t heartbreaking to suffer for Christ—it’s more heartbreaking to suffer for sin.
It’s not heartbreaking when people deny themselves from homosexuality—it’s heartbreaking when people deny Christ for homosexuality. It’s heartbreaking when anyone—including me—denies Christ for sexual sin.
It’s hard, not heartbreaking, to follow Christ. Jesus said: “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?” (Matthew 16:24)
It’s not heartbreaking when LGBTQ people gain Christ and lose the whole world. It’s heartbreaking when they gain whole world and lose Christ.
But too often, we hate LGBTQ people too much to tell them that. The Bible says, [love] does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth (1 Corinthians 13:6).
It’s not loving to lie to LGBTQ people. It’s not loving to encourage people to commit sexual sin. It’s not loving to encourage people to reject who God made them to be.
God created us as male or female because he loves us. He commands us to be fruitful and multiply because he loves us.
He created Eve for Adam because he loves Adam. And he created Adam for Eve because he loves Eve.
God created women to be “helpers fit for” men because he loves men and women. He didn’t create men to be “helpers fit for” men. And he didn’t create women to be “helpers fit for” women. That’s because he loves us. Therefore, we hate LGBTQ people when we encourage them to be what God hasn’t created or loved them to be.
If we refuse to tell LGBTQ people the truth, we’re refusing to love them. If we want to love LGBTQ people (and all sinners) like God does, we would tell them suffering temporarily in this world by obeying God is better than suffering forever in hell by disobeying God.
The Bible doesn’t whisper about sexual sin. God doesn’t whisper about his hatred for homosexuality and transgenderism—because he doesn’t whisper about his love and grace for repentant LGBTQ people.
God loves LGBTQ people more than we do. So let’s believe what he says in the Bible. After all, if we do not believe what the Bible says, we do not believe in Jesus Christ. - Samuel Sey, Slow to Write, June 29, 2021

“But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.” - John 3:21
It’s actually a fun fact that as normal people, we tend to clown ourselves. There are people who are doing their best to hide their bad attitude and there are people who really tend to purposely show their worst side just to hide their good side. Either way, both of these kinds of people are fooling themselves. Both of them are pretending, however, we cannot blame them because we know deep inside us, we are pretentious. Either we pretend that we are good, or we pretend that we are bad to be called good but really bad deep inside.
Now, our verse today is knocking a good sense out of us because it shows us our pretentious side and the side that we cannot attain. The preceding verse talks about those people who do evil things will never come to light because they don’t wanna be exposed. While our verse today talks about how people who live according to the truth will have no problem standing before the light so that their doings are seen plainly, and what they did was has been done in the sight of God. Yet, we have to assess that we are no good. There are also no good people. We all have our own different agendas hidden deep inside our hearts.
So, what did God mean by this verse? If we are all sinful, and there are no good, who is God referring this to? -- We have to know that this verse does not necessarily mean those people who are only good. Let us take note that John wrote. “Those people who live by the truth”. Thus, this proves that he does not necessarily mean only those people who are good, but those people who live by the truth. It means those people who live according to the truth, even if they are sinful. Now, since our truth is Jesus, so those people who live according to Him even if they are sinful, they are now made righteous through Him and that by doing so, they can stand before the light.
Although their pasts are exposed, they are not afraid because they are already living according to the truth and they know that they are saved, made righteous and holy through Jesus Christ-- the light Himself. Therefore, we must understand that being in the light will also mean living with the truth. So, let us stand before the light and let God see what we do. After all, we are saved by grace and we are called to live a holy life. Let us not be afraid to expose ourselves and that even if we did horrible things. Our past may have become part of us and as Christians, it is our testimony of how God made our lives turned upside down. Darkness is our past and now we are saved so we can live according to Christ’s righteousness. May we continue to walk in the light and be part of those people who stand before the light.

Like Old Times - Anyone You’d Like
this is the first thing I’ve written in about a year now, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless. I’m not sure how frequently I’ll post things and some might be longer than other. Happy reading my lovelies! Tell me who you imagined it with! xx
"I don't understand how someone could be on 'good terms' with an ex", your friend piped up, putting the phrase 'good terms' in air quotations, when the topic of your most recent relationship popped up in conversation. You playfully rolled your eyes given that she'd told you that a billion times already, along with several other people, but it wasn’t like the break up was messy. You two were still civil, there wasn’t any tension between you. So why couldn’t the two of you stay friends? "I don't feel the need to make an enemy out of every ex I have", you replied, earning a laugh from the other girls as you threw a wink her way since she had a reputation to be a bit of a firecracker, and everyone knew it.
"If this cocktail wasn't so damn expensive, you'd be wearing it", she retorted as you shot her a look as if to say 'yeah right'. She wasn't wrong about you still getting on with your ex though. He was still very much a part of your life. You'd text him good luck occasionally on a match day if it was a particularly big game, or if he'd scored, you even had notifications for his team turned on on your phone to see how they were getting on. His parents even sent you a card a bouquet of flowers for your birthday a few weeks ago. He became integrated into part of your routine and you didn't want to offset it. Clearly your girls were against it though, they were never a huge fan of his in the first place. Saying you could do better. Saying he wasn't the one. Saying that whilst keeping little rituals like that in your life was lovely and all, that you'd never get over him - but you were over him. Definitely. Nevertheless, they supported you through the breakup as if they'd never said a bad word about him. Although, you couldn't miss the unimpressed faces they pulled when he walked into the club with his a couple of teammates.
"What's he doing here?" One of them were quick to comment as he made his way in the direction of the bar to get in a round of drinks. "Probably come to celebrate the win", you struggled and diverted your eyes away from him in a desperate attempt to avoid eye contact, that was the last thing you needed to throw you off the flow of a good night. "Of course you'd know", another one of your girls piped up and elbowed you in the ribbed mockingly, making your group laugh once again.
"I think it's mine turn to get drinks in, who wants what?" You slid out of the booth and grabbed your clutch from beside you. Your friends weren’t stupid, they knew exactly why you were so eager to get the drinks in but there was only so many times they could tell you that you weren’t right for each other.
"Passion fruit martini please" "Make that two!" "Vodka cranberry" "I think I'll pass this time, thanks" "Mines a rum and coke"
You nodded in an attempt to look like you'd remember what they'd just told you, but the second you properly laid eyes on him at the bar, their orders fell out your head almost instantly. He looked as good as he did the day you two broke it off. Dark ripped jeans, dark shirt with the top few buttons undone and sleeves cuffed a couple of times to show his arms that were glazed with a rich tan from his Dubai holiday that you'd seen plastered across his social media a few week ago, paired with silver watch that he'd bought himself last Christmas on his left wrist and grey trainers with hair styled neatly like it always was.
'Jesus Christ, keep your shit together', you scolded yourself for staring for too long but before you could tear your gaze away from him, he'd caught you in the act.
"You haven't change a bit, darling", a smug grin appeared on his face, using your pet name that you hadn't heard in months, as he rested a hand on your back, making you suddenly deeply regret your choice to wear a backless dress when you jolted under his warm touch. "Looking gorgeous, as ever", he added and leaned down a little further meaning you could smell the familiar scent of his cologne and fabric softer of his shirt when you inhaled heavily to compose yourself. You’d intended on going over to him, but the thought process hadn’t got as far as to what you were going to say to him, nor did you know why you felt the need to interrupt your girls night out to see him.
"Thank you, congrats on the win this afternoon", you replied, thanking him for his compliment that could have easily been mistaken for a flirty comment. ‘You haven’t changed either’, you thought when his arms tenced slightly when he leaned against the bar, allowing yourself a subtle glance over him - but eager to not fall for his charm a second time so changed the topic of conversation quickly. "Thanks, darling. How have you been?" You made polite conversation for a while, just like old times. With the drinks order for your group of friends long forgotten and presumably the same for him, you made your way outside with him as he guided you through a back exit, his hand still on your back.
"Seeing anyone new?" He asked out of the blue, initiating a conversation that you really didn't want to discuss with him and it confused you as to why he'd brought up the topic all of a sudden. "Nope, not been seeing anyone for months", you popped the 'p' on nope. Your response made him raise his eyebrows at you, pulling an expression that, even after an 18 month long relationship, you couldn't read what it meant. You weren’t going to tell him that he was in fact the last person you’d seen as that might give off the wrong message that you weren’t over him.
"What about you? Surely you've had girls practically throwing themselves at you?" You scoff involuntarily, sounding overly bitter. Yuck.  Clearly your comment caught him off guard because it was one of the few times his cool, calm demeanour had flaked away, resulting in you looking flustered. "No one actually, how could I when I see pictures on your Instagram of you looking that good". He eyed you up and down, shamelessly flirting with you, passing the flustered feeling over to you as you shifted under his gaze for a second as he took in your appearance better than he could when you were in the club. Strappy heels that he knew hurt your feet but made your legs look incredible, that short backless dress that he'd be thinking of taking off you since the second he laid eyes on you, hair curled at the ends so it bounced below your shoulders blades and light makeup, because you had no one to impress - or so you thought when you left your apartment.
"If you didn't like it, you know where the unfollow button is", you told him, trying not to sound defensive. "Who said I didn't like it?" He was quick to throw back his response with his signature smile plastered on his face, the same smile that had you falling for him the first time. Whilst you mustered up something to say, he began to lean in closer again allowing you to inhale the same familiar mixture of scents that intoxicated you less than an hour ago. You watched his eyes flutter shut with parted lips as his head tilted to the side, it was a natural reaction of yours to mirror his actions as you leaned in closer too. His hand on your back pressed more firmly against it to pull you closer whilst one of yours instinctively went to run through his hair and then settle on the back of his neck. The kiss was tentative, neither of you really wanted to take control in fear of losing the other one again.
“I’ve missed this”, he said as he continued to move his lips against yours, snaking his hand round to rest on your waist. You pulled away from his abruptly after that and leant your forehead on his. “Don’t say or do anything you might regret. It’s the alcohol talking”, you stated and looked at him, lips almost touching again. “You saw me walk in, I’ve not had a drink all night”, he told you and pulled away so the warmth of his body no longer comforted you as the atmosphere around you both suddenly became heavy. He was right though. You were the only one that was intoxicated after a few shots and two cocktails.
“I want you back”, he confirmed bluntly and tried to make eye contact with you but you denied him. “Okay - but we need to talk about this, not here”, you gestured to him, he nodded in agreement as a group of people stumbled out of the door, after clearly consuming more alcohol than they could handle. It had also started to drizzle slightly, the moisture weighing down the loose curls in your hair. “Come back to mine? Please?” His gaze still on you when you met his eyes but were deep in thought given his invitation. You weren’t prepared to let him smooth talk you into his bed like you knew he was capable of doing, and catch feelings again, only resulting in you tearing yourself apart again when he dips out of your life. Over the months that you’d been apart, you’d learnt your own worth - he wasn’t going to have you that easily.
“Okay”, you nodded as a grin appeared on his face. “But only to talk”, you added making him laugh and sling an arm round your shoulder. “Of course, babe. What else?” He raised an eyebrow at you and threw you a cheek wink before knocking on the window of a taxi that was parked nearby. “Have I told you how good you look in that dress?” You jabbed him in the ribs and rolled yours eyes, hoping that the dim streetlights would hide your blushes. “Don’t you dare say what I know you going to!” You warned him, knowing he was going to make a comment about how he thought the dress would look better on his bed room floor. He threw his head back as a laugh left his lips whilst a hand casually fell onto your thigh when he sat down next to you, just like it had done hundreds of times before. You laced your fingers over his, content with the company you were in.

Drunk in Love (Gottrosenali) - Writworm42
A/N: Mik gets very, very drunk and acts even dumber than usual. His boyfriends come to reign him in. TW for heavy alcohol use/drunkeness. Thank you x1000000 to Holtz for beta-ing <3 title from Drunk in Love by Beyonce.
Rosé had never thought of himself as old, not really. Sure, he jokes about it, especially on days where he sleeps wrong and strains his neck or his back hurts for no reason, or nights where he just can’t keep his eyes open past eleven. But he can still party, still drink, still recovers quickly from even the most stunt-heavy gigs. So he’s not old, or so he used to think.
Then he and Denali started dating Mik.
Mik isn’t unreasonable; he’s happy to spend a quiet night at home now and again. But ninety percent of the time, even when he’s not working, he wants to go out to the club or the bar, some friend’s party or some event he saw on Instagram. And that’s fine; Denali and Rosé will come along, make an appearance and have fun for a few hours.
It’s when it’s the fourth night in a row that Mik expects them to be out until 3 AM that’s the real problem. As young and hip as both of them still claim to be, keeping up with Mik is like trying to play tag with the energizer bunny. The kid can drink them both under the table and still be up the next day with only a mild headache, and he can dance in heels for the entire night without needing to take them off. Hell, Rosé has seen Mik up at 4:30 AM before while looking completely unbothered, and when he wakes up at noon the next day he’s not even so much as a little bit groggy.
So it’s no surprise that sometimes, Denali and Rosé have to bow out to recover from the adventures Mik drags them into, instead staying home to watch the news and head to bed early.
Not that that makes them old. It doesn’t.
Really. It doesn’t.
Unfortunately, his body doesn’t seem to agree with him when he’s snapped out of sleep one night by his phone ringing, his eyes sore from the strain of being kept open as he gropes around in the dark for the source of the blaring noise.
“Wha—Rosie?” Denali stirs beside him, rubbing sleep from his eyes as he sits up and watches Rosé answer the call.
“It’s 2 o’clock in the morning, Kandy, what could you possibly need?” he hisses, too tired and pissed to care if Kandy hears him clearly over the thumping music in the background.
“You need to come get your man!” Kandy practically screams, causing Rosé to jerk back and bring his phone away from his ear. “Like, now!”
Jesus Christ.
Rosé is about to ask what Mik has done, but he’s cut off by screaming in the background, a very familiar one that he instantly recognizes as his boyfriend’s.
“ Whozzat Kandlee whozzit whozzit OH MY GOD IS IT PIZZA? Gagged oh my gag, I want pizza can you call pizza make it extra pep—Pepe—fuck, just make it cheese—“
Rosé pinches the bridge of his nose when the next thing he hears is a series of thuds and then a little WHOO followed by peals of Mik’s drunken laughter.
“We have to go get him, don’t we?” Denali flops back down onto his pillow with a groan, and it almost pains Rosé to nod, poking his partner to get him up again.
“Send me the address, we’ll be there ASAP.”
The club is loud and dark, flashes of coloured lights exploding every few seconds but still not quite managing to illuminate much more than the silhouettes of people packed into every square inch of the room, dancing against each other or standing with drinks in hand, yelling over the beat vibrating the floor under Rosé’s feet as he walks. Behind him, Denali’s hand squeezes his shoulder, the other man holding on tightly so as not to get lost as they scan through the chaos to try and find their boyfriend.
Not that they have to look for long; they’re only about halfway through the dancefloor when Mik’s voice catches their ears, loud and hoarse and slurring so much they can hardly understand what he’s screaming.
One look at who he’s screaming at, though, and they already know that whatever’s going on can’t be good.
“Hey, hey, asshole! Hey, I said fight me! Come on, you afraid? Fight me fight me fight me!” Mik is screeching in the face of a man twice his size as he fights against Kandy’s hold, trying to get closer to the guy. To his credit, the stranger doesn’t even bat an eye, just ignores Mik like he’s a fly buzzing around him. Which, size- and muscles-wise, Mik pretty much is.
“Oh, fuck, thank God you guys are here,” Kandy grunts as Rosé and Denali push themselves over to the scene, sighing deeply in tandem as Mik continues to wriggle in his friend’s arms. “I don’t even know what his problem is, he just saw this guy and decided he want to fight him--”
“That’s right, that’s right-- HEY!” Mik catches sight of Denali and Rosé and immediately stills, grinning widely, and for a moment, Rosé thinks it’s over, that just the sight of them has tamed drunk-Mik enough that he won’t antagonize the meathead still miraculously ignoring him any more.
It’s wishful thinking, though, because not even a moment later, Mik is turning back to the guy, eyes narrowing as he hisses, “My boyfriends are here now, they’ll fuck you up, you wait and see--”
Of course, it’s just their luck that it’s that threat that finally wakes the troll, the guy turning to stare at he and Denali and frowning deeply before he puts his drink back down on the bar and stands up from his seat, immediately towering over them.
“Listen, I don’t know what your guys’ problem is--” the man clenches his jaw, fists balling by his sides, and wow , his pecs are huge, like size-of-Mik’s-head huge, and if one of them doesn’t say something fast, Rosé just knows that all four of them are gonna wind up getting thrown through a wall.
So he smiles, closing his eyes and inhaling deeply before stepping forward and laying a hand on the guy’s shoulder.
“Listen, mama. I’m gonna level with you, okay?” He locks eyes with the man, who doesn’t look particularly impressed, but who nonetheless listens as Rosé continues, “It’s two-thirty in the morning. I just got here. My back hurts just standing right now, and I’m going to wake up with a splitting migraine tomorrow. My boyfriend is drunk out of his mind, and between you and me, even when he’s not, he’s an absolute idiot. Neither of us came to fight you. We just wanna take him home, put him to bed, and then possibly ground him for the rest of his life after he wakes up and has nothing but Advil for breakfast tomorrow. What do you say, baby, can you let us off scott-free just this once?” he winks, hoping that seals the deal, and either it works or the man just doesn’t care enough, because he rolls his eyes, breaking free of Rosé’s touch and climbing back into his seat with a huff.
“Whatever, man. Just get his drunk ass home.”
Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be a satisfactory answer for Mik, who finally breaks free from Kandy, surging forward and pointing towards the man.
“Hey, asshole! This isn’t over, I’m gonna--”
Before he can finish, though, Rosé picks the younger boy up and tosses him over his shoulder without another word, ignoring the kicking and screaming and tossing one last apologetic smile and wink to the man before following Denali back through the crowd and out of the club.
The ride home is tense, Denali having to turn up the radio all the way to keep himself awake at the wheel while Rosé attempts to keep a singing Mik from unbuckling his seatbelt to climb up front. Thank God the club isn’t too far from their apartment; by the time they’ve parked, Mik isn’t even singing the same songs as the radio anymore, and the not-so-dulcet screeches aren’t exactly music to Rosé’s ears, especially not this late, when he’s this annoyed.
“Can you just please, please be quiet?” he growls as he unbuckles the younger man, scooping him up again to carry him towards the building’s door. There’s no real need for the request, though; because the minute they reach the elevator, Rosé realizes with a jolt that Mik has gone completely quiet.
“Is he asleep or dead?” Denali peers over as Rosé looks down at the man in his arms, genuinely wondering the same. But then Mik lets out a quiet snore, and both Rosé and Denali breathe out a sigh of relief.
Good; it means tomorrow they’ll be able to kill him themselves.
It’s almost eleven o’clock the next morning when Mik finally trudges out of bed, squinting and frowning against the sunlight that trickles in through the kitchen window.
“Well, if it isn’t sleeping ugly,” Rosé teases, grinning in petty delight when Mik doesn’t respond, only flips him off before collapsing into the seat beside him at the table. “Feeling good after last night?”
“I legitimately feel like I’m going to die.” Mik groans, putting his head down on the table in front of him.
“Here, have some water instead.” Denali suggests kindly, coming around the kitchen counter to put down a large glass full of ice water in front of the younger man, followed by an extra-strength Advil and extra-strength Tylenol tucked in a napkin. Mik takes them both in one big swig, gulping down the water like he’s found a stream in the desert and not stopping until the glass is empty save for the few cubes he hasn’t sucked into his mouth to crunch on.
“Was I really that drunk?” Mik asks, wincing at the tiny thump the glass makes as he sets it back down on the table. “‘Cause honestly, you guys, I don’t remember any of it, but I don’t usually get this hungover--”
“When we came to pick you up, a dude the size of Everest was about to pound your ass into the ground, and not in the good way, so yes, you really were that drunk.” Rosé snorts, and he has to admit, it’s kind of satisfying to see Mik’s eyes bug out of his head when he realizes the trouble he’d caused, the danger he’d put himself--and, by extension, Rosé, Denali, and Kandy--in.
“Holy shit,” he starts, “Guys, I’m—“
“We know,” Denali ruffles Mik’s hair before walking back into the kitchen, opening the fridge and scanning its contents, “It’s okay.”
“As long as you’re safe.” Rosé affirms, and as much as he wants to keep being bitter, he means it—he really would take a thousand sleepless nights for the man sitting beside him.
“Thanks for understanding.” Mik sighs out in relief, leaning back in his chair.
In the kitchen, Denali begins to take food out of the fridge, placing coconut oil, flour, and vegan bacon on the counter, and Rosé can’t help but roll his eyes and smile when he sees Mik eye the ingredients hungrily.
“Tell you what, baby, how bout you go back to sleep, and we’ll call you when breakfast is ready, ‘kay?”
Mik just nods, licking his lips, before standing up and beginning to head back towards the bedroom. He stops, though, when he hears Rosé’s voice piping up one more time.
“Oh, and Kade?” Rosé’s petty streak comes back just a little when Mik freezes at hearing his real name, satisfaction tickling at Rosé’s chest when Mik turns around to face him again, swallowing hard.
“Yeah?”
“You ever pull that shit again, Kandy’s stuffing your ass in an Uber and you’re sleeping on the couch.”

Devotional for April 10, 2023 Proverbs: God's Wisdom for the Day and Our Future Devotional Scripture:
Proverbs 14:3-5(KJV): 3 In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them. 4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox. 5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.
Thought for the Day
Verse 3 - In these verses are listed three wise observations. This first verse tells us how to recognize a foolish person. When you hear prideful remarks coming out of a person's mouth, you can expect that person to be foolish. In contrast, a wise person will utter things that will actually preserve them. Many people's problems can be traced to foolish speech. In our society, we call it "mouthing off." It is wise to keep one's mouth shut under certain circumstances. One can discern what is in a person's heart by what comes out of his mouth: "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh" (Luke 6:45).
"These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage" (Jude 1:16, NIV).
Verse 4 - The second observation has to do with labor. The lesson we can learn from this proverb is that if we desire to have an increase in any of our endeavors, it will take strength and labor, and it will also call for provision for the animals (the workers). One must provide feed for his oxen in the crib (feeder) so that they can eat well and perform properly. Also, the stall of the oxen will require cleaning, if they are kept around to do any work. Work is not always pleasant, and is sometimes messy before the job gets completed. The modern work ethic is somewhat distorted in some people's minds since some believe that work should never be unpleasant! With this kind of attitude, very little work would be accomplished. The Bible tells us that whatever we are working at, we should give it our best effort and work unto Him, and not men. If we do this, God Himself will reward us: "Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with eye service, as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free" (Ephesians 6:5-8).
Verse 5 - This last verse refers to liars. A liar does not make a good witness, since he will lie to cover his own guilt. In contrast, a faithful witness will tell the truth even if it does not benefit him. Truthfulness should be found in all of God's children. We are to be witnesses to the world and if we are dishonest, we destroy that witness.
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for Your love and patience with all of us as Your children. Father, we ask You to deliver us from pride and foolishness and give us Your wisdom. Give us the strength to do all that is before us each day. May we do our work as unto You and not unto men? May our labors count for something. Let us lead good and pure lives before those whom we live and work with. Lord, deliver us from the temptation to lie. May truthfulness always be found upon our tongues? Help me to be a good witness to all that I come in contact with. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Ahh, the holiday season. It's that time of the year where gift giving is everywhere. Everyone is in the comfort of their own homes whilst wearing their most comfortable and warmest sweater. Every family is gathered around the table, feasting on what was cooked. Everything is so delicate and beautiful.
Tom and Harry decided that it'd be best to stay in their childhood home for the holidays. All of them are getting ready for the big Christmas dinner that will happen later that night. Everyone is busy doing their part. Paddy and Dom are busy decorating the Christmas tree, Sam and Nikki are in the kitchen preparing the food, and Tom and Harry are hanging the Christmas lights and decorations all over the house.
Tessa is sleeping in her little bed, unbothered. Paddy was envious that she had to sleep in. A growing boy needs his sleep, doesn't he?
Of course, there will always be something lacking or something forgotten in every single preparation. In this case, some ingredients for their dinner are needed but they aren't available in the kitchen which means it's time to go on a trip to the grocery store. Suddenly, the Christmas lights aren't working anymore when Tom turned it on. That means, it's time to buy a new one. They also needed new oven mittens and new pot holders.
Nikki quickly emerges out of the kitchen and calls for Tom and Harry who are just standing in the living room, trying to figure out how in the world did the Christmas lights stop working. They both look at their mum. Nikki says, "Can you please go to the grocery store to buy some ingredients for the party? Sam and I can't start without them. You guys can go after I list them down whilst it's early."
"I don't want to go." Harry whines. "Besides, I have to clean around here. Can Sam go with Tom instead?"
Nikki rolls her eyes, "Fine." She grabs a pen and a paper and writes down the things needed for cooking.
"Sam, you're coming with me!" Tom calls out. Sam walks out of the kitchen whilst eating a chocolate bar and just nods.
"Can I come too?" Paddy asks.
"Sure! The more the merrier." Tom laughs. He walks upstairs to his room to get his phone, wallet, and car keys. When he comes back down, Sam and Paddy are ready to go. Sam has the list and Paddy is already out of the door.
-
They arrive at the grocery store and they grab the stuff that's on the list. They even added their own treats in. Along the way, Sam decides that he'll make dessert instead of buying something store bought. Paddy, who's pushing the cart, immediately stops in his tracks causing Tom to bump into him which resulted in Sam bumping into Tom. It's such a domino effect.
"What the hell, Paddy!" Tom says, walking to the side of the cart.
"Isn't that Harry's life long crush, Y/N?" Paddy points at a girl with an oversized hoodie and a pair of leggings with running shoes who is standing in the vegetable aisle.
Sam and Tom simultaneously looks at the girl and they both smirk. "Yup." Sam says, popping the 'p'. He grabs some vanilla from the shelf and puts it in the cart.
"Let's ask for a selfie." Tom says all of a sudden.
"Are you mad?" Sam asks.
Tom looks at him and his smirks grows even bigger, "It's for making Harry jealous. If he wasn't a whiny little shit, he could've seen her. Since he isn't here, we could grab the opportunity to ask for a picture with her and show it to Harry!"
"I like that idea." Paddy grins.
Sam just sighs and looks down, "That's really mean." He slowly looks up, sporting a sly smile on his face, "I like it!"
With that, the three of them rush to where Y/N is, only slowing down when they're near her so that they aren't creepy. As the eldest Holland boy, Tom takes it upon himself to clear his throat to catch the young girl's attention.
Y/N looks up from the bell peppers with a shy smile on her face, "Oh, sorry. I must be in your way. I can-"
"No, actually." Tom stops her from rambling. He looks at his brothers with a smile before looking back at Y/N. 'I'm an actor, goddammit. I can do this shit in my sleep.' Tom thinks to himself before speaking to her again.
"We were just wondering if we could take a picture with you? We're such big fans of yours." Tom says in a fake giddy voice. Y/N flashes him her million dollar smile and nods, "Sure!"
She takes her hood off and fixes her hair. The three Holland boys look at her in awe. They may make fun of Harry and his undying love for this girl, but they don't blame him for loving her. Throughout the years of Harry showing them her pictures and telling them stories about her, they've grown to develop a small crush on her. They just don't want to admit it.
Y/N truly is a beautiful girl. Seeing her in person seems so surreal. They only ever heard of her from Harry's stories. Tom and the rest except for Sam, didn't have a clue who she was up until Harry showed them the school's website where she modeled for. They started following her on Instagram since then.
"Who's first?" Y/N asks politely. Tom, Paddy, and Sam look at each other. They thought it'll be a group photo but an individual photo with her seems so much better than what they had in mind!
"Oh, did you not want an individual photo? I'm so sorry that I assumed-"
"Oh, it's no problem!" Tom interrupts. "An individual photo is much better."
"Can we do poses?" Paddy blurts out as Y/N looks at him and giggles. Paddy could've sworn his heart exploded with happiness. She just nods at him with a cute smile on her face.
"I'll go first." Sam volunteers and hands Tom his phone. Y/N stands in the aisle seeing as there are only a few people in the grocery store. "What pose are we doing?" Y/N asks.
"I'll give you a piggyback ride." Sam says immediately causing her to laugh. She agrees and Sam slightly bends down so that Y/N can hop on. She wraps her arms around his neck as her legs are around his waist. Sam grips her thighs and they both smile for a picture.
Tom takes the picture. Y/N even insisted on doing wacky shots. So, they did.
Sam bends down again and so she can go down. Sam thanks her and takes his phone from Tom. "Who's next?" she asks.
"Me!" Paddy grins and hands Sam his phone. "Can we just do a simple one? Like hugging and stuff?" He asks and Y/N nods and immediately hugs him. Paddy hugs her too.
"I think it'd be cute if I look at you in a loving way. That'd be awesome, right?" Y/N suggests.
Paddy, Tom, and Sam all nod their heads. Her suggestions are genius and they totally fit their plans. Y/N smiles and looks at Paddy in a loving way. Paddy does the same too. Sam takes the photo with a huge grin on his face.
Paddy lets go and thanks her. Y/N looks at Tom with a slight smirk on her face, "Last one, big guy."
Tom hands Paddy his phone rushes up to Y/N and picks her up bridal style. Y/N squeals in surprise, "Jesus Christ, man!"
She wraps her arms around his neck and chuckles, "I assume this is the pose you had in mind?"
Tom looks at her and naturally turns on his charm, "Yeah. I thought it'd be cute."
"Okay, get ready." Paddy says, holding Tom's phone up to take the picture.
Not being able to take Tom seriously, her gaze moves to the floor as she smiles. Tom looks at her and kisses the top of her head. Paddy perfectly takes the picture and Sam has a look of surprise on his face.
"Done." Paddy says.
Tom sets her down and winks at her, "Thanks, love. You really made our day." She giggles and nods, "You're welcome. You guys made my day too. I'm really happy I met you, guys."
"One last photo...as a group this time?" Sam asks and Y/N shrugs, "Go for it."
Sam opens the front camera on his phone and all four of them get together to take a group selfie. After that, they bid their goodbyes and continue their shopping.
After grocery shopping and buying other things for the house, they come back and Sam immediately rushes to the kitchen with the grocery bags so he and Nikki can start cooking.
"What took you all so long?" Harry asks as he takes the new Christmas lights out of the bag. Paddy sits on the floor to play with Tessa who is now awake. Tom just shrugs, "Line was too long."
Harry just nods before he and Tom put up the Christmas lights.
-
Before going home, Tom, Sam, and Paddy planned to make their pictures with Y/N their wallpapers. They also plan on purposely leaving their phones in the living room so that when they ask Harry to fetch their phones, he'll see their lockscreens and go livid.
That's what's happening now.
Everyone is enjoying themselves out in the backyard where the celebration is happening. The whole family was there.
"Um, Harry? Can you please get my phone in the living room?" Tom asks nicely. Harry gets up from his seat and nods.
"Mine too!" Sam calls out.
"Same here!" Paddy adds.
Harry rolls his eyes and shakes his head. He goes back inside the house to fetch all three phones in the living room. As soon as he picks them up, their phones open and he sees their lockscreens.
"OH MY GOD." Harry says loudly.
The three culprits try to hide their laughter when Harry goes back outside.Harry glares at the three of them and asks, "You met Y/N?!"
"Yeah, at the grocery store." Sam laughs, not taking it anymore.
"If you've been with us, you could've seen her and told her your undying love for her." Tom says dramatically.
"Lucky bastards." Harry mumbles under his breath as he hands them their phones.
"You know it." Tom teases.

A Rebuttal
Ok so I really did not want to make this post. I would’ve loved to have left this whole thing behind because I’m aware I made some mistakes and would like to atone for them, but it seems I’m going to have to go over this one more time. For anyone seeing this post who somehow doesn’t know, I said some regrettable things about Aidan Gallagher here. I later made another post here summarising the entire situation that resulted, so I would suggest you read that first.
I’m still getting people telling me what I said was fucked up, which is entirely justified. However, I have just now realised that the person who took it upon themselves to ‘correct’ me about my opinions of Aidan Gallagher (something that has not changed, I still strongly dislike him) later made several derogatory posts about me. I was not aware of this because after the first rude post they made about me, I blocked them to save myself the additional stress.
I have done my best to deal with this whole thing as calmly and politely as possible. When this person was downright evil towards me, I didn’t bother to argue with them, I just made an admittedly-snarky post with a screenshot of what they said, and then blocked them because I had no desire to begin an argument. When I realised that what I had said about Aidan Gallagher had been fucked up, I apologised, accepted my mistake and did what I could to fix it. But I am out of patience. I don’t take kindly to being treated the way this person has treated me, I don’t think anyone does. So here I am, about to break down everything they said about me bit by bit to show you how much of a lying scumbag they have been towards me (as well as possibly others).
warning: this post is incredibly long
tw: su*c*de mentions
My first interaction with this person was when i got an anon ask who wanted to know what Aidan Gallagher had done to make me dislike him. I responded with a brief list, excluding most of my evidence because it was late at night and I didn’t have the energy to go down the rabbit hole of all this. The following day, the blog this post is about reblogged my post, attempting to disprove everything I said. I will not include screenshots here, because it was a long post, you can find it in my archive if you so wish. I read what they said, took everything into account, and responded with my proof for things I hadn’t previously included the proof for, as well as explanations for why certain things he’s said annoyed/upset me. I expected a polite response, as we had both been courteous so far.
Instead,  I received the following:
Tumblr media
Now, lets break down some of what they said.
‘stop saying things you can’t prove, because it’s fake’ - I provided my proof. I am not trying to lie to anyone, or perpetuate rumours. All I aimed to do was explain my point of view and why I personally dislike him.
‘some of your screenshots are fake’ - That’s just blatantly untrue, especially as they have at other points said things along the lines of ‘well yes but he apologised/he didn’t mean it like that’ for everything I have provided screenshots for. Make up your mind.
‘you’re so gullible’ - For... having an opinion? That I researched before forming? And which is based on something other than my blind faith in a 17 year old? Right.
This was when I blocked them.
I thought that was going to be the end of the situation. Then, I got some asks.
Tumblr media
I saw this and, being a minor, was a little creeped out. I had assumed this person was a teenage fangirl because that’s who the majority of Aidan Gallgher’s fans are so this information was surprising.
Tumblr media
This one scared me. I did what the anon suggested, created a backup (i won’t tag it here because I get the feeling some of the aforementioned ‘army’ are going to see this) and reported the other blog. Once again, I thought it was over.
It was at this point that people started telling me how fucked up what I said in my original post was, and I realised they were right. As mentioned at the start of this post, I apologised, and did everything I could to fix it. End of, right?
Until today, where I started thinking about what the above anons had said and decided to fact check, mainly out of curiosity. I unblocked the blog, only to discover they had made 3 posts about me that I hadn’t seen.
Tumblr media
This was the first one, as you can see they began it with a screenshot of my original post. Let’s talk about this.
“but you wishing him dead is ok?” - I never wished him dead, to start with. Stabbing does not automatically equal death, but I know that’s nitpicky of me. I also did not wish he was stabbed. I said in that exact tag that I didn’t, because of TUA. However, I know that this ‘joke’ was really shitty of me, and I have already apologised multiple times.
“what kind of a low life do you have to be to have nothing better to do, but talk shit about a kid?” - Why don’t you tell me? As I’ve said multiple times, I am a minor. That doesn’t excuse what I said, but that does make it incredibly hypocritical of them to say that given everything.
Tumblr media
This was the second post they made about me, beginning with the same screenshot as in the first post.
“they’re spreading false rumors” - I’ve already covered this one.
“they want a reason to be mean, even if it isn’t true” - I would never be mean to someone if they hadn’t done anything to deserve it. I’m a strong believer in the moral philosophy of respecting everyone until they give you a reason not to. Aidan Gallagher has given me more than enough reasons to lose respect for him. And, honestly? I still respect him as an actor, even if only that.
“you can’t say you’re a decent human being and wish someone dead. you can’t say you’re anti-bullying and want to prevent suicide and then bully someone” - That is some big talk from someone who claimed they were ok with what Aidan Gallagher said about mental health because they’ve had their own experiences with suicide, before immediately telling me to rot and burn in hell for disagreeing with them. And, wait a second, wasn’t Aidan Gallagher the one supporting women’s rights and feminism who then turned around and made gross comments towards a bunch of girls? Hmm. Also, wishing someone dead is too wide of a blanket statement to actually measure whether someone is a decent human being with.
“i tried to be nice” - I didn’t know telling someone to rot in hell, calling them a stupid hoe, was being nice. I didn’t know lying, and telling people to report someone because they disagreed with you was being nice (notice how they never said anything about my stabbing comment until I disagreed with them.) I guess we have very different definitions of nice.
“if they really cared, they would kindly ask a fan if the rumors were true” - And that, ladies gentleman and variations thereupon, is a brilliant example of how not to perform unbiased research! I based my opinion on actual evidence, and neutral articles as well as arguments from both sides. Not on one fan who’s likely to deny everything.
“they said it themselves, they have no proof” - That is so incredibly cherrypicked. What I actually said was “supposedly used the f-slur although i can’t find proof“, one of the many points on my list of reasons I dislike Aidan Gallagher. You know why I said that? Because I found a screenshot of him supposedly having called someone that slur via Instagram but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and decided it was probably edited. I included the point on my list in the hopes of people doing their own research. And I certainly did not say I had no proof for anything, as you would know if you saw my original response to this blog, where I provided proof.
“threatening him and bullying him is wrong” - I am fully admitting of the fact my stabbing comment was in poor taste but it was very clearly not a threat and not even close to being bullying. Furthermore, I would say making four posts harassing and telling others to harass someone because they disagree with you is a lot closer to being bullying than anything I did was.
“defamation is a crime” - I live in the UK, so let’s use those defamation laws. A statement is not defamation unless it ‘ has caused or is likely to cause serious harm to the reputation of the claimant.’ Less than a hundred people are even aware my blog exists. Nowhere near enough people have seen anything I’ve said to count as defamatory. Not to mention that a statement is not defamatory if it is a statement of opinion.
Tumblr media
“you’ll get karma for lying and playing the victim” -  Ohhh the irony. I have not lied once. I have provided all the necessary proof for everything and I have owned up to my mistakes. And yet, they, who have repeatedly lied about me, twisted my words and oddly enough, avoided including proof outside that one screenshot of my original post, are the one accusing me of playing the victim. Classy.
“hi to your little follower that you cry to” - This one’s just hilarious to me. I’m happy to have people on here who will let me know when people are, you know, harassing and bullying me. And, what the hell do they mean by ‘cry to’? Do they mean ‘mentioned that this situation was stressful once’? Wow.
“I promise you misery for the rest of your sad little life” - Honestly just re-read the other screenshots after seeing they said this. Jesus Christ. And, as someone who already struggles with depression and other mental health issues I’m interested to know what they’re intending to do that’s gonna be any worse.
“you’ll pay! that’s not a threat it’s a promise” - Are they planning on tracking me down? Or are they just going to keep sitting on their throne of yes men and echo chambers acting as if they’re actually affecting me?
I would say this is the last post I plan to make about this situation but I’ve said that over and over again throughout the last 12 days and it’s never the last post. This whole situation has honestly been very emotionally taxing, and combined with some real life things, it’s been a bad week or so. Hopefully this post is enough to end this whole thing.

Rich Kid!AU with Suho [Junmyeon]
moodboard link
Group: EXO
Member: Suho / Kim Junmyeon
Genre: romance + lowkey reality check
Type: Bulletpoint AU
Word Count: 3.2k
A/N: Suho has a black card and what else was I to do with this information?
yes, I am making Junmyeon into one of those rich ass fuckboys
you know the ones I'm talking about
the ones that have an endless amount of cars
(and prob names them)
the ones who you can literally tell has not worked a day in his life
despite having so much money, he's dressed like a hobo
but it's like the branded shit
like Supreme or Gucci or Chanel
(and whatever else is trendy)
so it’s “fancy”
unless he's gotta go to like a charity event that isn't really for charity
then he's like in a suit
hm.... when he gets dressed up
he gets dressed up
anyways
let's start from the beginning
he inherited his money from his parents, who inherited it from their parents, who inherited it from their parents.. and so on and so forth
so the Kims have like a shitload of money
like
LOADS
like "I can swim in my own money" loads
except he tried it once when he was a kid
lots of paper cuts
also the gold coin thing
wow did that hurt
it was not a fun day for rich kiddo Suho
and this is very stable money, i.e. old money
so you can only imagine the amount of people who are practically kissing their asses to get partnerships and whatever else rich people want
oh my god, when his mother was supposed to get married—it was chaos, literally every man was throwing themselves at her feet
tsk, tsk, tsk—it was just sad
don't get mixed up, their parents are happy together
or at least they seem like it
lowkey it was an arranged marriage and, like all rich people, his parents like to call it a "partnership" more than a “marriage”
anyways back to Suho
if he's being honest about this whole thing, he doesn't know if he really wants to (or is going to) inherit the family business
he’s not even an official heir
he has an older brother and Suho has watched enough dramas to know that the older ones are most likely to inherit the family business
so what is he supposed to do?
sure, they've been showing him what he's supposed to do
but does he actually know what he's doing?
or if he wants to do it?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
he's been living the same life he's been living since he was born
wake up, eat, shop, go home, sleep
yo, speaking of which
he legit cannot stop buying anything—he sees it, he wants it, he buys it
you know those ugly ass Gucci slippers
yeah, he got those
he bought two of them because they came in two colors
he wore them each like once and then it was never seen again
granted, he was shopping with Taehyung, one of his company managers who Suho had taken underneath his wing
Tae literally encourages people to buying stuff they don't really need
but like
he can afford lots of impulse buys
it's not like he's doing anything else
okay, that's a lie
he's also working at the office, but does it really feel like he's doing anything?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
anyways, let's get back to his horrible shopping habits
this is very important because this is how you come into the picture
he was out one day with Sehun, walking around one of the major shopping centers
just as they were leaving
there was a protest outside one of the department stores
the CEO had like 50+ charges of sexual assault and he was just let off
and wow
these people were angry
so where do you come in?
you….. you were in the front….
with a loudspeaker….
saying some things that…. no one should be saying with children present….
anyways
you were one of the people who’ve organized the event
because this asswipe was still working and got off with a warning from all of these assault charges????
you were not going to let this go
hence why you’re in the front, with your loudspeaker—spitting facts and roasting this man in front of his business
yeah, y’all were a bit of a smallish crowd
(a group of about thirty people)
but anyways
Suho saw you and
wow
his interest has been piqued
you were cute—yelling into your loudspeaker and your fist in the air
you have so much passion
Sehun has obviously noticed Suho had been staring at you for quite some time
it’s hard not to notice
just as Sehun was just going to push Suho in the order direction, that shitty CEO steps out
and……. in front of you……
you remained calm, letting his douche canoe spit as he rambles on about how these women were all over-reacting and that you were an idiot for spending your free time here and that you were nothing more than a liberal snowflake
at this point, people were all recording on their phones but this man clearly didn’t care and just went ham on you
and as he pauses to breath, you take your chance: “I’m the snowflake and yet you’re the one who needs to chill”
you see the anger just explode in his eyes and, as he continues to yell, he raises an arm
just as he was about to swing at you, Suho steps in
right between you and the CEO, blocking you and grabbing his arm
Suho: “and what is it that you think you’re doing?”
CEO: “let go of me”
Suho: “and let you hit this stranger? aren’t you just embarrassing yourself even more?”
for the first time, you can see him flush with embarrassment as he realizes the eyes and the cameras that are on him
but then he snarls at Suho: “who the hell do you think you are?”
Suho smiles, but it’s as fake as this man: “I’m heir to the Kim business, I could make you disappear in two phone calls, would you like me to show you?”
he freezes, before yanking his arm out of Suho’s hand and walking off
muttering something about millennials
he finally turns to you, as the crowd starts to disperse
Suho: “are you okay?”
You: “I could have handled myself, pretty boy”
Suho: “you think I’m pretty?”
**cue Sehun facepalming on the sidelines**
you sigh, tired from him already: “I can’t deal with this right now, that asshole is still out there and I’m not resting until he’s resigned”
you turn away, not even bothering to listen to his response and immediately head off
Sehun: “you really managed to blow that opportunity”
Suho: “shut up and drink your milk tea”
later that day, he may or not have used some of his family’s money for something other than meaningless shit
he was looking you up—you’ve done a lot of things and you have so many achievements
as well as enemies
yikes
he’s seen a lot of these people at the Kim’s charity auctions
and at business meetings
and the parties his family throws at their party mansion
oof—this is not looking good for him or these people
so what else does he do?
he does a bit more digging on you
is it creepy? yes
should he be doing this? probably not
so what does he find?
your fb, instagram, twitter—all the social media you’ve got
this is what happens when you have a lot of free time and you’re rich
he’s not really sure these accounts are your personal accounts though
there are pictures of you and the causes you’re involved with
but they’re not about you
he will admit that he’s very impressed with all of the things you’ve done
you’ve managed to make some major changes
environmentally, socially, and lawfully
(local laws ofc)
it wasn’t done without a lot of damages and enemies
but (from what he’s seen) you’re tough
next week, you’re leading another protest against a makeup company because of their false claims of being cruelty free
and their microplastic beads that’s polluting the ocean
and the high water demand due to the large amount being used in their products
jesus you have retweeted so many scholarly articles
and they’re like 40 pages long
Suho doesn’t think he’s read this much since college
(well his family paid their son’s way through, but you get what I mean)
he makes a note to shop there on the way sometime next week
just do he can see you again
the next week passes, more slowly than Suho had thought
as it comes, he goes ham on his shopping trips—he’s going to ALL the makeup department stores
never really buying anymore because he’s too busy on the lookout for you
he says it’s a “business trip”
(ignoring Baekhyun, Chanyeol and Jongdae + Sehun’s side eyes)
these people are really kissing up to his asses
literally getting up to his face and trying so many products on his faces
it’s like the spongebob episode when all those perfume people are spraying shit in his face
yeah... imagine that
his vision is getting blocked and his face is getting caked with every passing hour he spends
just as he was about to give up
the days roll around
and he finally spots you outside the shopping center with your loudspeaker and protest signs
you’re in a group circle, talking with some other people
who Suho is going to assume are other organizers
he manages to kind of sneak over as y’all are discussing
you were discussing the main points and what the game plan was
Suho was just…. there….
you didn’t even know until everyone was dispersed to their positions
Suho: “so what can I do?”
your eyes narrow at him: “pretty boy?”
he smiles, so stupidly bright: “yeah”
you eye him up and down: “are you lost? don’t you have a department store to get to?”
Suho: “this is a department store”
You: jesus christ
You: “okay, in case there was another misunderstanding on my abilities, I can handle this”
Suho: “I understand, I just want to help” :)
you nearly growl at him, what an idiot
you don’t realize you’ve been staring at him for a while, until a friend of yours steps up next to you and give you a little nudge
your friend whispers to you: “he’s a Kim, his involvement would mean more exposure”
you let out a deep sigh and shoo her away to deal with the stragglers who’ve just joined
You: “do you know why we’re here?”
Suho: “false claims of the makeup being cruelty free?” :)
You: “lucky guess”
You: “okay fine, we’re gonna be here for a couple of hours—he’s arriving soon and then he’ll leave, just as he always does and we’ll have to rally in case he gets aggressive”
Suho: “okay, got it”
he gives another smile and is so compliant, you figure he’ll be here for a bit and then leave
but, to your shock, he’s there the whole you’ve been there
which is like two hours longer than the others were supposed to be there
and even after the whole thing, he asks you what else is coming up
with another push from your friend, you reluctantly share the information with him from your organization’s website and facebook group and all this other stuff
but let’s be real, Suho already knew some of this stuff due to all of his internet stalking
it doesn’t mean he doesn’t appreciate you sharing the information tho
anyways
he comes to the next one—just as you told him from last time
and the other one
and another one
eventually, he just makes it part of his schedule to come and help out
at first, you didn’t really think he would show up
and when he does, you asked why
Suho: “I have a lot of free time”
somehow you don’t doubt that
the more he’s been coming, the more interested you were
not in the sense that “oh he’s so attractive for fighting for these causes alongside with me” interested
it’s more of the “what does this sneaky motherfucker want” interested
so you do some digging and it only confuses you more
shouldn’t be fighting his brother for that heir position for the Kim Incorporation?
why is he so interested in being part of this fight that involves… well, him?
isn’t he worried we’ll start attacking the Kims?
a lot of the other organization members notice it as well
because I mean, have you seen him?
(he is very attractive)
but also because this big name hot shot is at these small group protests, when he should be in a meeting or something
it doesn’t mean his efforts aren’t appreciated
he always gets the group things like food and supplies for strikes that last for longer than usual
for instance, you and your organization went to join teachers who were striking for a better contract with the school district
Suho came running with more posters, loudspeakers, shakers, coffee, sandwiches
the district teachers absolutely adored him—they even took pictures with him
but, you will admit that it’s nice to talk to him, despite the differences in social class
he likes talking to you too
(maybe more than he likes to admit)
it’s just
you have this fire in your eyes
the passion in your voice is clear
and you know what you want and you go for it, without any mercy for anyone who gets in your way
but you have that sensitivity and awareness and drive to help others that’s the whole point of you even being here
he wishes he had that
but, these last few weeks
he actually feels good to help you out
whether it’s running for supplies or providing donations for causes you’ve told him about
he feels purposeful
he feels good that he can help all these people and that his time is actually useful
and now, your organization is getting more exposure, which is nice
…. until the media gets involved and starts to paste Suho’s face on it
and that’s when you realize what he’s been doing
the Kim family had been using this whole thing as a reputation tactic
you feel stupid letting him into this
what you wanted to do was make a change for those who couldn’t advocate for themselves
and now all your hard work is being passed in the hands of some rich guy with way too much time on his hands
so, you did what you did best: dig some dirt on some filthy rich people
turns out there was a previous scandal with the family
they underpaid their staff
lots of people were getting low/little income and they were at a disadvantage because they were in a position where they couldn’t quit
when word got out, they said they would raise the wages
but some people say that these people didn’t
so you’re gonna find out—you snuck around their estate, talking to the staffers about the incident
most were unwilling to talk, but there were a couple of people who shared with you
they talked about they had medical bills, student debt, disabled family members, etc.
they had to work here and have to continue
apparently it was said that they would receive raises, but it isn’t livable—they only had 10 cent raises, but only after working for 5 years at a time
office workers obviously were higher up, but the servant staffers at the estate were taken advantage of
even after it was exposed, they didn’t really do anything about it
while you spent a couple of weeks snooping around
Suho had been at home
his parents were clearly upset because he’d been spending too much with the lower class
Mrs. Kim: “it’s good for our reputation, but you can’t keep spending your time with them”
Mr. Kim: “why can’t you be more like Dongkyu and spend more time in the office”
Suho: “I’m not even inheriting the company, why bother working?”
Mr. Kim: “of course you’ll inherit the company, alongside with your brother—it’ll be an even split”
Suho: “what if… what if I don’t want to inherit the company?”
Mrs. Kim: “what else are you going to do, if not a businessman?”
he doesn’t know why, but your face flashes in his head at that moment
in fact, you might get along with him better if he lost the inheritance
he wouldn’t be able to donate anymore
or get any supplies
maybe his support would be enough
the only question is to whether or not his family would cut him off
so, he speaks the truth
Suho: “I… I don’t know”
it’s been a couple of weeks since he’s seen you, so when he comes to the next meeting…
he was a bit excited
but when he comes
that fire is in your eyes once again…  but it’s towards him
Suho: “hey” :)
You: “so when were you going to tell me that you’re an absolute douche-bag”
Suho: “what?”
You: “your face is all over our hard work and now you get all the credit?”
You: “not to mention, you don’t say shit about all these people who you work with”
You: “also your family is garbage—really? underpaying the staff and lying about it?”
he’s…... speechless
on one hand, you’re right
and on the other…. you’re right
what is he really doing here?
is he actually making a difference?
you, on the other hand, you’re….
you’re amazing
you have been able to draw attention to all these issues
and you’ve been able to make these changes
you might not be filthy rich, but it doesn’t mean you don’t have any influence
Suho can’t really say anything other than…
Suho: “I’m sorry”
You: “you think that’s enough?”
Suho: “no, it’s not enough, I just don’t know what else I can say”
to be fair, you should be really pissed—you are pissed
but he looks so dejected
you remembered talking to him about his family ties and their family history… is not pretty
so you soften up a bit
just a bit
but only because it’s him
the one who always comes with a smile on his face
the one who comes with more than enough supplies because he wants to make sure everyone is comfortable
the one who hangs around you because he knows how tired you are
the one who stays and listens to you rambling for hours about a million different social issues
you put a hand on his shoulder
You: “you don’t always have to say it, sometimes it’s a matter of doing”
thanks to you, he decided to do something
for another couple of weeks he doesn’t see you
but you?
you def saw him
on the news
he got busy
he went on his usual schedule (like his parents wanted)
but this time
he wasn’t quiet about it
I’m talking about pointing out the environmental drawbacks of these products
calling out the people during the “charity” events
cutting of trade with those who don’t give fair wages
he’s even actually been trying to actually raise those wages for the servants in the Kim house
(of course with the request of your help)
and wow
the news are just having a field day and eating it up
so that ultimately means his parents are seeing all of this
and what happens?
he gets cut off
he’s no longer inheriting the Kim fortune
Dongkyu is getting everything and he gets nothing
but with your help, he’s a successful business consultant
turns out that business degree did do some good
he helps develop local businesses and the money he makes
not only goes to good causes
but also to help promote your organization
with the rightful faces on it
as for you two?
let’s just say, you’re a lot closer than before
seeing his drive to help others
the effort he makes to recover from his blissful ignorance
you’ve grown a soft spot for him
as for Suho
he’s glad he has you
you’ve made him a better person
made him realize all the different things he can do
you two working together + practically dating?
the organization members are eating it up
(and you’re pretty sure they were betting but no one would say anything to your face)
anyways
dating a former rich kid! Suho is a lot more fun than you would have thought before
lots of dates are at your (or his) apartment
mainly yours because he’s got a studio and has a roommate
(he is broke)
anyways
you spend a lot of time working on building cases against companies
it’s mainly work bc humanity is evil
but when y’all aren’t working
it’s cuddle timeeeee
you would put shows on, but y’all aren’t watching
you spend a lot of time in his arms
or him in yours
(he likes being a little spoon and isn’t afraid to admit it)
and, as his official partner, you are always supported by him
Suho: “WOO-HOO YOU GOT THIS ANGEL”
You: “omg it’s flipping an egg, I’m not receiving a medal”
it’s cute tho
and ofc you got his back
when he was kicked out of the house, you straight up wreaked havoc
all those people were spreading rumors, you shut that shit down
when he kicked out with nothing more than a duffle of clothes, you became his safe haven
you helped him get back on his feet
found what he really wanted to do
and he was able to find someone really special
you ♡
