I am very excited and very proud to announce that I will be releasing my very first poetry book, Lightning in a Bottle, with Alegria Publishing, this December!! I have spent the better part of this crazy year working alongside a mentor as well as other amazing poets to write and put together this book that you see before you!
Lightning in a Bottle is a poetry collection filled with dark humor, centered around shedding light on the dark parts of life, as well as breaking out of that bottle we are often put in at a young age. It is a journey through mental illness, heartbreak, identity crisis, toxic relationships, and more. And it is all told through the lense of a bipolar latina, ME!

Synopsis
Lightning in a Bottle is a blunt and dark humored collection of poems that takes you through a journey of self reflection through the eyes of a bipolar latina. Veronica Lopez unapologetically delves into the dark and light of life, and talks about identity, mental illness, heartbreak, toxic relationships, and empowerment. It is a story of many emotions and many secrets. It’s a story meant for the misunderstood, those predisposed to feel so much, and anyone else looking to break out of the bottle they’ve been trapped inside.
For anyone interested in getting a copy of Lightning in a Bottle, it is now currently available on:
