Went to a market today that had dried citrus filled with pu erh tea; not only did they have it, they had several types. The urge to get some and try it was quite high, but it's a bit pricey and I want to look up more information about it (just saw my first video about it recently so I still know very little). Instead I bought a big canister of jasmine green tea (with flowers because it's far superior to just scented leaves), some lunar new years decorations, and some treats to try. Going to test the tea out tomorrow and see if I picked a good one; there were twenty different brands and I got a bit overwhelmed because unlike my favorite place this one doesn't have any samples on display.

its been a year since i discovered that you can cold steep tea and i have not ceased to be amazed by it

#i have so much tea. so much especially loose leaf tea. which i'll be honest i cant be bothered to make most of the time because #it feels like too many steps for a single cup and i dont much have anyone to deink it with. #but. cold tea? gamechanger. i put the loose leaf right in and only put it thru a fine mesh when pouring myself a glass. and its all good #im just overwhelmed trying to get thru all these packages of tea i have had for forever. i dont think i have to buy more tea for years.

#why is it so pale and weak #loose leaf and bags #we were buying and enjoying Make Mine a Builder's for a couple years and then from one box to the next it went to shit #i would've thought we had covid but it's *just* black tea that's different #white tea and green tea and herbal tisanes and coffee are all the same as before #literally nothing else tastes or smells different than we were used to #but black teas have been undrinkable since around July or August 2020 iirc #bags and loose leaf we had from before then were totally fine (meaning no flavor change) after we noticed new ones were not good #i can't even drink it plain because it just tastes like dirty water 😭 #I've literally had plain water with a stronger flavor
