resting on his elbow on your bed, mark’s mouth is agape as he stares at you, blinking furiously. was he dreaming? you, who stood in front of the floor length mirror, smooth down your clothes for non-existent dust and smile to yourself, “okay, how about this outfit?” you wait a few seconds before frowning, “mark? hello— mark?” you wave a hand in front of him and he jolts, “wha—? oh, um, yeah, it’s great. you look really good— … dude.” he winces inwardly at the name, but you don’t bat an eye at it and frown at his seemingly insincere words. “you’re right, it’s bad. i’m going to change.” mark catches your hand with a laugh, “dude, no! seriously, you look really— …” he trails off, looking hesitant to say the next word, even though he’s said it so many times before so easily. what was different now? “— pretty. gorgeous,” he says it without even thinking, realizing it the moment you smile bashfully, ducking your head to your chest to try and hide it but failing miserably. he studies your face for a second, eyes flickering from your eyes to your lips. and— oh. he wants to kiss you so bad. you, his best friend. oh. oh shit.

renjun doesn’t know when the lines blurred from enemies to frenemies to … lovers? crushes? all he knows is that the burning rage that used to fill him every time your mouth opened was now replaced with warmth spreading over his chest and the urge to kick his feet while giggling. words neither of you would dare to speak around your mothers, intended to hurt, were replaced with teasing, playful words with no hint of malice. your head turns swiftly, knocking him out of his daydream as you raise an eyebrow at him, “take a picture, maybe it’ll last longer.” cheeks flushing a subtle red, his eyes narrow at you, “you might break my camera.” but his pinky creeping towards yours and lips curling up at the ends says how he really thinks. you smile, flipping your hand over and making the first move to intertwine your fingers. his heart stuttered in his chest, “i— you—” you laugh, squeezing his hand once before going back to your textbook. and, yeah, he was certain he’s never felt this before.

“if you squeeze any harder, i think you’ll break the glass,” mark attempts at a joke to diffuse the tension radiating off jeno. jeno’s lips barely twitched up as he glanced down at the glass in his hand before setting it to the side, done drinking for the night. he didn’t feel like it anymore when he saw how closely some guy holds you to his side, hand on your waist. he didn’t like the funny feeling it gave him and he could only imagine how it’d feel when alcohol was added into the equation. “jeno, dude, when are you gonna make a move? you guys have been—” he glances around, checking for eavesdroppers even though the music was far too loud for anyone to hear, “—messing around for months, basically a couple without the label. and you know there’s more people interested in y/n than just him.” the two look back to the opposite side of the room where the guy was whispering something in your ear, a smirk on his face. “you need to tell them you want something more than just fuck buddies. or else you’ll lose them forever.”

“you— WHAT?” haechan winces as your voice grows louder in his ear, casting a quick look around to see if anyone could hear you through the phone. “hyuck! what the fuck?” “don’t act like it wouldn’t be a privilege to date me,” haechan scoffs playfully, hiding his nervousness behind humor; as he always did with his emotions. “i’d rather die.” “okay, well, please! my mom’s already told everyone in my family that i’m bringing someone, including my sisters!” the mention of his sisters have you going quiet, and he hopes you’re thinking about it on the other end. “god, haechan— i—” you sigh in frustration, “how was my name the first name to pop up in that tiny brain of yours?” he ignores the jab, thinking back to that moment. truthfully, he already knew why you were the first name to pop up in his head when his mom mentioned bringing a date to his family reunion. but you didn’t need to know that. not right now, at least. “you weren’t, you were actually my last choice but all my other choices would’ve said no,” he teases, hearing you scoff in disbelief and he grins. “whatever. you’re lucky i love your sisters and hate letting them down.” “and me?” he raises an eyebrow, maybe a hint of hope in his voice. “you wish.” he does.

jaemin swears he’s dreaming when he looks up and sees you. never in a million years did he think you would come back home. not when you tried so hard to leave, anyway. you’re across the aisle, switching your gaze between two spices in your hands when you feel the back of your neck prickling. your head lifts, making eye contact with jaemin immediately. your breath catches, the world freezing around you as the two of you stared at one another. jaemin had only seen glimpses of you through social media the last four years, living your life in some prestigious university with your dream job and dream life in america. he watched your life through pictures like he used to watch you sleep. you break first, raising a hand to wave shyly at him, attempting a weak smile as you didn’t know how he’d react. jaemin abandoned his cart, walking closer to you as you set the spices into your cart. “hi,” you breathe out once he stands in front of you. for years, it seemed like you could never catch your breath, always missing just one thing. and now, it seemed like a breath of fresh air, standing in front of him. his lips turned up into a soft smile, eyes shining as he said softly, “hi.”

the hotel room is silent as chenle unlocks the door with the cardkey, letting you in first and doing a quick check of his surroundings before following in. he listens to the click of the lock, eyes following your movements as you grab a change of clothes and your skincare items from your suitcase. he loosens the tie around his neck, kicking his dress shoes off and turning his back towards you. he doesn’t intend on saying anything, knowing that this situation is definitely not your favorite thing in the world. while he wished it was on his own terms, he liked that it was you. it was only ever you for him. you just didn’t know that. “chenle?” he hums in reply, shrugging off his suit jacket and throwing it on the loveseat. “you don’t … hate me, do you?” his head snaps up, brows furrowing, “what?” the word comes out incredulous and you bite your lip, embarrassment sinking in as your cheeks begin to feel warm. “i … i know this isn’t ideal, but for me, i know it’s not the worst thing in the world.” he blinks at you. you smile slightly at his dumbfounded expression, “i was angry at first, and i was so … betrayed. but, i’m glad it’s you.” you don’t expect a response, heading into the bathroom quietly. he smiles to himself once he fully registers what you just said. i’m glad it’s you. he was, too.

from your spot on the armchair, you watch as jisung rises from his seat on the couch, next to your brother. “i’m getting a drink, anyone want anything?” the rest of your friends and your brother’s friends chime in with their answers, and you wait a second for anyone to get up and follow after him. but no one does. you smile to yourself before standing, “i’m going to help him, since you assholes won’t.” your brother waves you off, too far into the video game to give a better reply. you sneak up behind jisung, sliding your cold hands up under his t-shirt and he jumps, neck twisting to look at you. “ah!” he says a little too loudly, and you shush him. you stay silent before you hear shouts of excitement and disappointment from the living room, turning back to him. “what if—” he starts to say. “as far as they know, i’m helping you with the drinks and snacks,” you poke him in his ribs and he jumps, making you snicker. you stare into each other’s eyes for a few seconds, enjoying the small moment you’ve rarely got since you all came home from college for the summer. at the thought, your face falls and jisung frowns, brushing a stray hair away from your eyes, “what’s wrong?” you shake your head, not wanting to ruin the moment but he insists. “i … i really want to tell him, ji.” you frown, watching his face carefully. “the longer we keep this a secret, the more he’ll be mad. i think we should just rip the bandaid off.” at his hesitation, you sigh and step away from him, making him take a step forward to close the distance again. “jisung, if we’re really serious about this, we have to tell him at some time.” you hesitate, “… are you serious about me?” his eyes widen, “what? yeah, i am. i’ve been serious about you since we were seventeen. i…” he looks shy, “you’re it for me. you’ve always been.” your cheeks heat up, eyes darting away shyly at his words as you allow him to close more distance between you two and press a meaningful kiss to your lips. “we’ll tell him … after everyone leaves, okay? i don’t want to hide anymore. i didn’t like it in the first place.”

i have so much i need to scream about when it comes to show vs book for manfred bernardo. manfred in the book: weak, only has one vision of his grandmother, gets upset when the angels can see ghosts and he cant despite being a psychic, is fucking straight. manfred in the show: bisexual (possibly even ace), sees ghosts consistently, gets headaches from said ghosts, able to see his dead grandmother and travels with her across the country, is a fucking necromancer!!! i never clocked he was a necromancer until i remembered the scene where he's controlling all the dead bodies, and i..... holY SHIT! he slammed their spirits back into their body and made them walk into the portal. and when they ask him how he did that he was like "it's something i've been working on"!!! dnd adventures 22

i wasnt here last session check moss's blog for what happaned

uh frog died cause they fought a dragon and undyne activated mom mode to bring them back lol dans is in for a surprise also tori lighting bolted dess lol.

dans cam and inferno pop out of eeby deeby! everyones in an inn. dess is still in the woods i guess? undyne tells us about what happaned. dans and cam dont handle it very well. (tori took frog out of the room) undyne begins beating the shit out of inferno for calling frog dying a skill issue. cam asks undyne not to cause frog will be sad but shes in mom mode lol.

dans and cam find frog eating with tori and suzy. dans and cam are very worried. dans hands are shaking and he looks at tori all misty eyed. dans asks frog if he can hug them. hug trapped by cam and dans lol awwwww. undyne finally finds us lol. dans lets go and pats cam on the head. hes emotionally exhausted. cam is distressed.

cam tells frog they shouldnt be comforting them since their the one that needs comforting. dans plays with tori's hand and puts a feather in her hand to help her stay grounded. cam says feather gifting is romantic lol. dans tells cam hes gonna make them hold eggs lol. frog giggles awww. dans walks over and takes the scarf back, balls it up, and puts it in their hand. then he goes back to playing with tori's hand. cam holds undynes hand lol.

undyne isnt good at comforting frog but shes trying dammit. cam and frog are giggling at how gay cam is lol. frog is trying to heal inferno. cam walks over to dans with the scarf. he wraps it around cam and tell them to consider it theirs. undyne makes inferno lay down so frog can heal them. inferno goes back to stealing lol. dess is also in the cafe.

inferno sees dess is talking to an older man. the man is dressed like a cleric and you cant see his face. dess looks uncomfy. (inferno and dess havent mess) undyne notices and points out dess. (cam teaches dans what thank you is in bird) undyne goes up to dess. the man stops speaking.

the man apologizes to undyne for dess's behavior (its fuckin charity gaster i wanna fuckin stab him grrr) (dans and cam are teaching each other how to swear lol) dans notices undyne was gone a while and goes to find her. (cam tries to repeat fuck you in dwarven) notgaster says he promises that dess will behave.

dans walks in. hes uncomfy and doesnt know why. hes shorter and can see his face. some sort of elf with facial cracks. dans feels like the wind was knocked out of him and he takes a step back. undyne notices but dans cant really answer her right now. (inferno went eeby deeby)

he says something to dess we cant hear and he hands dans a stone card. dans reacts on instinct and slaps the card away. he says that they should leave. undyne says she has questions to ask this dude so dans refuses to leave. the man says its his job to know things. he takes the card back and addresses undyne by name and goes to leave. undyne uses divine sense on him. yep hes evil. she pulls dans behind her. (cam goes eeby deeby) the stone card fell out of his pocket. undyne inspects it. its hard to read and has a face on it. dans and undyne look at dess like wtf. dess cant tell us. she also cant tell us what the card says. undyne keeps it.

we go back to the group. undyne remembers were supposed to look for info on how to end the curse. dans is told to talk to steve since dess borked it. undyne senses evil on steve :( she takes everyone away and tells them yeah hes evil.

we try and charm steve using tori's spells. failed. dans just says fuck it and goes in. he tries to talk to steve and get him to explain whats happening. undyne cast zone of truth. he admits hes been following us and then realizes hes telling the truth and is sus. he shuts up.

dans calls undyne to break a bone. moss CHEATS and doesnt let him be intimidated. dans tells undyne to start with the fingers. he just starts laughing? asshole. undyne breaks a toe but he doesnt react. dans is watching closely. dans starts looking for clues but steve says we wont find anything. steve says he has a 'personal interest' in our adventures. he needs us dead. hes being a smug asshole. he wont tell us why. he did not put the curse on us though.

undyne offers to finish him off and he just laughs. dex saving throws?! he casts fireball! i only got 4 damage cause i am resistant and i rolled high too lol. undyne fucking does 62 pure radiant damage. hes radiant resistant but that still hurts! he transforms! black armored plate from his skin, claws, horns, skull head. tori walks into this with dess. tori trapped suzy and frog behind a wall lol.

UNDYNE IS DROPPED TO 1 HP WTF she survives, we buff and heal her and she calls soupnik! SUZY SCALED THE WALL SHES IN THE GAME TOO! also hes immune to necrotic damage so my spells suck

UNDYNE IS DOWN. dans keeps getting crits cause hes so fuckin mad wtf. he wants to kill undyne. dans tells soupnik to save undyne and take her away and they get away. since were attached to undyne by the curse, we can be teleported away. we just need to survive long enough for that to happen.

dess tries to teleport away. dans uses dimension door on him and suzy (its what tori would want) steve begins regenerating since undyne is like gone lol. dess is trying to help frog escape the wall.

finally god has mercy and teleports everyone to dans. dans supports up undyne and has frog help heal her. dans has to tell undyne she almost died. and we have to tell frog that steve is super evil. frog is in disbelief that undyne LOST.

suzy yells at tori for locking her in a wall. we did infact almost kill him we got from over 400 hp to almost 100. so we get exp cause fuck. we get on soupnik cause steve might follow us so we gotta go. dans sets up camp when we land cause everyones fuckin tired.

Ugh, believe me, i was also cringing at many of the comments on those threads. Supposedly, theres this trend of redhead characters being changed to being black, like Annie, Starfire, Mary Jane, or April from the ninja turtles.

Oh, and speaking of such, they were also whining because april is gonna be black in a new TMNT movie... She already was in the newest cartoon, but they wanted her to go back to being white. Also, whining about her being fat and unattractive. We're talking about a kid here, since shes younger in this incarnation, so why even care if shes hot 😭 I bet half these dudes dont even care about TMNT... To be fair, the TMNT fans did raise some hell when shredder was gonna be white in a movie, since hes originally japanese, but i doubt they're even the same ppl.

The little mermaid thing is just very sad. I feel specially bad for the actress, specially after finding out shes just 19! I hope shes just ignoring the comments, because some people can be really cruel. Even some latinos were against the decision - i think theyre quite divided, but many were making racist memes and all. I guess we cant always relay in 'poc solidarity' or whatever.

Another good point you raise is how the japanese and many other east asian countries don't care about the white race or sees them as equal (once a friend of mine actually got targeted when she went to Korea). Also, I remember reading somewhere that the japanese public liked the appearence of younger white people, basically pre-puberty, but disliked the adults, specially the men as they lose the 'soft features' from infancy.

And youre right, i really shouldnt be visiting these places: they only make me sad or angry. I dont know why sometimes i cant help but hateread those threads. When people are behind a screen, they really can spew the most vile shit thats on their minds. Like they always say, just dont read the comment section...

As I already said: every single person remotely bothered by the skin color, sexual orientation, gender or attractiveness of FICTIONAL CHARACTERS is way too old to watch/play whatever show or video game they are from. Period.

Yeah, there's this misconception of thinking that bc they dye their hair blonde and wear color contact, East Asian want to 'look White'. i think they definitely fancy the diversity of White ppl's phenotype such as the eye and hair color, but for pretty much all the rest, they cater to their own specific beauty standards (especially when it comes to bone structure and face proportion). White people tend to favor sharper bone structure while Asian are all about rounder and softer ones. I don't think Asians look up White people face structure (that make them look older and faster). This contrast was really striking with Kotakoti stunts in japanese magazines where she looked so out of place : despite her dolly blonde hair and blue eyes, she still had those strong adult Westerner features which were so different from her japanese pals' 🥴 (more soft and rounder)

East Asian beauty culture is hysterical though, and even though Asian men have softer features than Western men, their obsession with 'softness' compels them to look more soft than they naturally are. Ultimately men regardless of their race are men ; if Asian men were naturally looking like soft potatoes they wouldn't need to resort to all these procedures to look like that🥴 Men with square jawline botching themselves to have egg face shape is a crime against humanity btw. (square jawline are beautiful on both sex imo♥️)

And the internet isn't a safe space for Black women. There was a stat showing that Black women were more at risk of online harassment compared to any other demographics..... Social medias (especially Twitter) literally feed off your anger (for engagement), so thread lightly. That's why Tumblr is my favorite social media ; it's mostly an image board, and my dash is only curated with what I choose to see.

-summary: probably the best episode so far. I do enjoy rens episodes more, but thats not because theyre well written. This genuinely felt closest to an episode from the main series. It showed off kite and eight at their best as characters, and while it was a bit heavy handed, i think thats fine. I take back what i said about kite i mean hes annoying but at least he has this episode. This was a real palette clenser from the misogyny. I hope there are more episodes like this and they keep eight as more of a kenta character than a yu character.

PART TWO LETS GO !!! Okay these are in the list (technically) So I know what you did last summer was pretty cliche and too famous in pop culture so I already knew some of the deaths ;-; BUT I didn’t find the cast as annoying as I expected to (except for barry, he sucked even before the murder stress) enjoyed it but wouldn’t rewatch a lot or watch the sequel immediately after it, i also suuuper curious you know

NOW omfg Nightmare on Elm Street HOLY FUCK what a franchise, the ending of the first one was so like unexpected and vague i HAD to watch the sequels immediately (rip to the ppl who had to wait like a whole year to know what happened, sucks to suck)

Jokes on me Freddy’s revenge had nOTHING TO DO WITH THE MAIN PLOT (and i had to go to bed by the time it was over) but it was still really good tho !! Like the idea of F possessing someone irl ???? Brilliant !! THE ALIEN/BIRTH/EXPLOSION THING ???? WHAT ?! I also liked it carried on the universe’s story without explaining the ending of the first one (idk if it was on purpose or they didn’t know what to do with Nancy yet so they stalled but i liked it !!)

And then it was three, holy fucking shit holy fuck Dream Warriors the one of the best movies I’ve ever seen in my life (a proper rival to Scream ngl) AAAAHHH I could write a 12 page essay about this movie, the cAST ???? Angels! The dream powers ??? AMAZING! The dude psychiatrist actually listening and trusting Nancy instead of acting like shes crazy ??? It's been a hot minute but I remember the SHOCK of 3. Why do yall think Stu and Billy and Randy keep mentioning in a trilogy anything goes and YN could be a Nancy? (Lowkey wish I would have left it ambiguous that I was writing for 4 and 5 to up the anti here) Like how many franchises kill the final girl and keep going???? In a good way bc yeah I was super upset Nancy died but also it made it more interesting bc if SHE can die; anyone can. (And I think Wes intended 3 to be the last so damn what a power move on his part) Can you imagine if Sidney died in Scream 3??? I feel like I'd never watch it again but also if it was done very well and the new final girl was good (Or we follow Gale trying to figure out who killed Sidney like they never caught Roman OR how Jill was supposed to kill Sid and be the new final girl until someone found out her dirty secret) I would still watch it and be on edge bc the only thing I feel 5 REALLY had going for it was killing off a main character that hasn't happened since Scream 2 and we were livid and shocked and enthralled...But we still couldn't stop watching! Bc who else?!?!

I'm so glad you liked the series I may not write for it but it is a great slasher series

I really felt like you deserve to read this tiny moment from his check up today. I remember you said you also had a doctors appointment and i would just like to ask, how does a normal one look like because I fear I forgot about it.

We were basically in the office with a nurse and a doctor waiting for the attending. And the nurse made a mistake of asking him how he was doing to try and make small talk and you guys. He literally looked at her, sad as fuck and went ‘How I’m doi- well let’s see, shall we? *crosses his legs and puts his hands on his knee* i started this year all happy and excited. Then i had a tiny accident, maybe you heard about it? (Narrators note: this all was said very calm and nice but with heavy sarcasm since that accident is the reason for all the surgeries) and there goes my motorcycle, which don’t even get me started about. So bad month. Then i come here across the whole country and you people don’t let me go home for almost a month and then this dickhead *points to me* shows me a tv show. And i figured: i had a few bad months but maybe a little distraction wont hurt, its not like im gonna care much about it, just to watch while on bed rest. Cool. And then the funniest thing happened. It hurt! It hurt a lot! And i cared, way too much according to my dad. So a bad day turned in a bad month which turned into a bad year. And now I’m sitting here still in pain from a surgery that happened months ago, a broken wrist with a cast on that I cant even write on, crying over two dudes while also wearing one of their fucking faces on my shirt. So what do you think how I’m doing?’ And she stared at him and went ‘im gonna go with: not good, am i right?’ The other doctor and I fucking lost it. And my brother just sighed really loudly and dramatically and went ‘you could fucking say that’

And let me try to paint this picture for you because i made the mistake of laughing at the beginning of this and i had to cover it up as a sneeze cause he looked at me like he wanted to kill me. He was sitting on those bed/tables that they have. Swinging his feet like a child and he was wearing his Brian shirt over a long sleeve shirt (hes been doing that since it got cold but still wants to show his Britin merch) and he was pouting. Like a child. Just the sight alone was funny but the complaint? Golden.

Then the attending arrived with another doctor and made the mistake to ask the same question and the nurse went ‘I wouldn’t do that if i were you..let’s just say he’s had better days’ and the other doctor goes ‘(the other nurse’s name) told me you finished the show. Are you just sad it ended or was it actually that bad?’ And my brother looked at him like he was just kicked and went ‘they broke my heart, put it back together, broke it again, put it back again, then broke it, stepped on it and flipped me off. And then had the audacity to ask me if I was proud. So yeah, that bad’ and then the attending just looked at him and went ‘i cant believe I’m doing this for a grown man but if you can answer next questions without talking about the show or that dude *points to the shirt* ill get you a chocolate bar’ and yes, it worked. He fully cooperated and got his chocolate bar. And when the doctor went to get him just a normal chocolate bar, he kinda nudged him with his cast and went ‘don’t be cheap, get me the good shit or i will talk about Brian next check up from start to finish’

By the time we left his check up, everyone knew he finished up the show and that he was absolutely miserable about it. Im honestly surprised that they even let him leave the hospital at this point.

THEY BRIBED HIM WITH CHOCOLATE!!!

Dying.

Dead.

Deadened.

They wanted him to shut up about QAF and Britin and they bribed him with chocolate.

The crossing his legs and putting his hand on his knee is killing me all over again. "How am I doing? Well, Susan, thanks for asking. Not well, not well at all." I am cracking up.

The thing is, I bet they all love him - the nurses and doctors - most of their appointments are business only and here comes your brother and yes he keeps breaking himself because of this show, but he takes their "how are you doing" literally and is very engaging about it too! I imagine he's animated during all of this.

Okay, final thoughts on House of the Dragon, Season One:

Pros:

Time Jumps: I think the time jumps were handled beautifully, tbh. Reintroducing the characters in episode 6 by treating it as a second pilot was a *great* idea and it paid off very well imo. I understand some people are put off by the time jumps, however, without the time jumps it'll take us 4 seasons to get to the *actual war lol.

I understand that some people may find it hard to keep up with all the characters being introduced, but then again, a fantasy series is always going to have extra lore/history that you have to know in order to fully understand/appreciate the work. You can't just watch something like GOT, LOTR, or even Harry Potter and expect to know everything from the movies/tv show alone. You gotta do the homework. It sucks, but thats why these types of series are so big. Theyre entire worlds.

Opening Theme: Keeping the main theme, but changing the map to the Targaryen bloodline was another great idea. No other opening theme was gonna top the original, so you might as well own it. Plus, its fascinating seeing the more children born, the more bloodlines that are drawn, hinting how its all gonna spill soon. Also side note: the soundtrack *slaps*. Once again, Ramin proves himself to be a fantastic composer.

The Acting: Everyone in the cast is amazing. Everyone, from the younger cast to their older counterparts. Special shoutouts to Paddy and Matt for doing wonderful. I really want to see Emmy noms for them. I thought Emma did fantasic as well, and i cant wait to see what she does throughout the rest of her series. Episode 10 was really her moment, and she took full advantage of that.

Some characters are done really well!

I point specifically to Viserys, Daemon, and Aemond. And I think thats because those are the characters in which the writers really embrace their moral ambiguity. Theyre not entirely good, their not entirely bad. Their complicated. Which brings me to...

Cons:

Inconsistency with the main characters (and their relationships)

Now, it seems like what the writers are trying to do is make the Civil War seem very messy and complicated 'cause there is no *right* side, so to speak. Shit happens, and violence breaks out because of it. However, in order to do this, it seems like they rely to much on the good side of the main characters, with the people around them being the ones prompting them to do the bad shit.

Alicent: I see this the most with her. They write her as a nice, honorable, and dutiful lady during her younger years, showing how she's *trying to patch things up with Rhaenyra, and she honestly sees her as the future Queen up until Viserys' death. Its implied that Otto is the main bad influence on Alicent, that he's the one pushing to usurp the throne, not her...The only problem with that is its inconsistent for when we see Alicent's Karen-like behavior in episode 6, cause Otto isnt there. The dude got banished, remember? If the main characters only do the bad things when the men prompt them to, then what about the times when they have to be bad and the men arent there?

Rhaenyra: The writers really painted her as the heroine of the season. The one who was done wrong, and dont get me wrong, she was. But also, I feel that the writers missed out on a good opportunity to point out how Rhaenyra's rebelliousness is the cause of her downfall.

Really, the only time we see this come to play is with her sons and the argument of their parentage. But that rebelliousness is always painted as a "good" thing, cause her and Laenor arent in love. They paint Rhaenyra's rebelliousness as a good thing as well when she expresses her sexuality... But what about when that becomes a bad thing? Like, when she's taking advantage of her very honorable knight?

The writers played into the idea that Criston Cole was just bitter Rhaenyra didnt run away with him, but thats not what I got when I first saw the scene? When Rhaenyra sleeps with Criston in episode 4, we see him ask her quietly to "stop". She doesnt. Rhaenyra is the Princess and Future Queen, and she's gonna take what she wants, and because of her station, Criston has no choice but to comply.

This causes the honorable Criston Cole to feel such intense shame and guilt over the act, that he convinces himself its out of love just to give himself a sense of peace. Only when he finds out it wasnt out of love but just for a bit of "fun", he's absolutely shattered. And thats what causes Criston to switch sides. Not that he's "bitter" Rhaenyra didnt love him, but that she took advantage, made him break his vow, something he cherished, all for a bit of fun. Thats what makes his character growth more interesting and realistic imo. To play him as just a rejected douchebag only works when he was a horny, misogynistic douchebag to begin with and he wasnt. He was portrayed as honorable at first. Decent.

Rhaenys: Look, the dragon moment is episode 9 was cool, but Rhaenys not killing the greens at the moment did not make sense. I understand later she says "It's not my war to start" I can get behind that, except that in the writers commentary in episode 9 they go against that by saying its because shes a mother and just "didnt wanna kill another mother" ... Like, please be consistent with your motives...

And even then, its like... you can argue the Rhaenys still hasnt picked a side in the war yet, but didnt she already do that when she let her granddaughters get engaged to the Strong Boys? And she did this in front of the King, so shes not just gonna go back on it. Thats not her. And If the greens are coming after the Strong Boys, then by extension, theyre coming after her granddaughters, so... why not just kill them? Idk...

So... in conclusion, embrace the bad side of the female characters! Quit trying to place them as the good guys, with the men around them being the "real" influence. Let the ladies be the bad guys too!

And in case anybody is thinking, has HOTD passed GOT?

I dont think its right to answer that yet. I dont think its fair to compare the two when we only have one season so far. Remember, seasons 1-4 of GOT were considered the *best* of television when it first came out... and then look what happened. I think its best to hold out until we get to the end.

ohboy bad dragon wank. Heres the facts from a furry whos been a furry for a little over a decade as far as can I can source them-

Bad dragon has usual big business shady practice stuff, and the current owner Varka used to have a informational site(since shut down) called Herpy wherein stuff about real life reptile sexual habits and anatomy was detailed but was mostly for erotic reptile art. It was known to be used by zoophiles, but no source can be found on if the site encouraged pro-contact/offending or not. Varka is on record for wanting live casts of animal genitalia offered- which is controversial because animal abuse concerns, however. This never panned out.

At some point previous they had a model named 'the adolescent' and they have toys themed after children's show characters, which is just some purity wank there. The other stuff is a bit more reasonable of a complaint.

For allegations: A previous, since gone owner called Kamo has rape allegations. Most of the current and former staff also has bestiality allegations- in particular someone who I dont remember the name of allegedly made a forum post (to which only easily faked screenshots exist for proof) where they admitted to sexually abusing a dolphin.
