clueless konig :(( he borrows your clothes for the night and genuinely gets confused when they don’t fit him.

you blink up at him when he mentions this. “you’re a big man, kon. no way you’re fitting in my clothes.”

“oh,” he gruffs, looking down at himself.

you can’t help but trail your gaze along him too, biting your bottom lip at the image he makes as he wears a pink shirt that you got from a bachelorette party which has ‘BABY GIRL’ printed on it. it is tight on him, stretching along his chest and clinging to his stomach, showing off the outline of his abs – well, the upper portion of it, anyways because the lower portion is available for easy viewing, given how your shirt ended up only reaching just an inch above his bellybutton.

you trail your eyes lower, letting go of your bottom lip for a breathless, “ah,” as you follow the lines of his scars and tattoos, before reaching the top of his happy trail. you almost whimper when it disappears underneath his boxers.

that’s another thing: the pants that you lent him don’t fit at all so there he is, on his goddamn boxers, in your room.

“with how much you insist on borrowing my clothes, i thought, at least, that you have something of a similar size.”

konig’s words break you from your thoughts and you startle, whipping to look back at him, your heart seemingly pumping directly in your ear.

konig just looks at you with wide eyes, honest curiosity lining his body – big, perfect, delectable body – and you realize that your little crush did not catch on.

good. that’s good.

you shrug with a strained chuckle, tucking a stray strand of hair behind your ear. “your shirts look comfier, that’s all.”

he nods in understanding. “i’ll give you more then.”

you try not to die even when your heart lurches itself to your throat.

“okay,” you croak out, smiling at him, your jaw just clenched more than usual. “thanks!”

konig hums before plopping down on your bed, a quiet sigh making his mask flutter.

Obviously in a meta sense it was all quite literally a random card pull but in universe it really seemed like Baron was targeting Adaine. What with going straight from trying to murder her to puppeting her

So my headcanon is that Adaine is a threat to Baron's whole deal.

Baron needs Riz to feel broken, to feel like an outsider and a freak for not wanting romance. Baron wants Riz to feel like everyone is going to leave him someday for some strange feeling Riz can't experience. And because of that Riz will need Baron. Always keep his romaence partner close.

But Riz won't feel like that if Adaine is just there chill about being single. Adaine doesn't care if she may or may not be aro or ace. She hasn't even thought about it that much. She has no desire to seek out romance for herself nor does she feel bad about that feeling.

And Adaine has a plan that even if the rest of the Bad Kids drift apart she and Riz are going to stay together.

If that kind of thinking started to influence Riz well... Baron's entire purpose for existing would shatter
