I find it hilarious that Deacon, who apparently has the entirety of Ghostbusters memorised as well as an insane affinity for The Breakfast Club and cultural awareness of what a red shirt is in Star Trek, snoozed through the Lord Of The Rings films (although dollars to donuts he's read the books, the meme that Jennifer was referencing was pretty specific to social media in the early aughts). Sure they came out when he was like an infant. But Ghostbusters came out 15 years before he was born. So I feel completely justified in writing a story involving Jennifer and Deacon watching it on cable in 1989 while Cole and Cassie are creeping around the auction houses secure storage in 'Causality'.
