this theory of the forms stuff seems very...
like, I observe a conversation I make with a person. it is a friendly conversation because it takes the higher form of a friendly interaction, the form of good. but that means, following along, that if I can't percieve friendliness properly, then I'm forever stuck in the cave?
autism locked me in a cave forever? I can never understand the forms?

I was randomly thinking about this little tidbit again and realized I never posted this video on here, so I thought I'd give you all psychic damage tonight.
Misha: “Obviously Chuck would be younger [in The Winchesters], and he’d be played by a…” Jensen: “Somebody much younger than Rob Benedict, like Alex Calvert.” –August 2022 (The Winchesters started airing in October 2022 and ended in March 2023)

Yeah... that checks out.

I just skimmed through the art part of your blog and holy bajeebus your LMK art is so beautiful and the headcanon ideas you come up with are so good I wanna steal em-
Kinda wanna see like a part 2 of the little angst you did between MK and Macaque a while ago. It's so interesting and I wanna see Macaque's reaction in your art style. (You don't have to of course, it's just a suggestion [idk if i spelled that right])
Thanks for reading and hope you have a good day/night!

#I’m sure there are some character nuances im forgetting but well 🤷🏽#I want their misunderstanding or whatever they have going on between then come to a head. literally just going ‘wait what’#for me I think it’s entirely possible that there was an actual fight and maybe tension leading up to that point#cause I feel like macaque is not just bitter about thinking he died to wukong but maybe some stuff that built up to that#maybe the fight was just the breaking point. maybe they’re idiots who don’t talk about it because they think they’re on the same page idk#chipper-smol wrote a cool theory abt them using macaques ‘you’re nothing’ line in s4ep1. from what I understand it could be a direct parall#parallel to when he said that to MK right before MK regained his nerve and hit macaque in the eye.. since flying bark foreshadowed monkey mk#waaaay back in season 1 (where his shadow is his monkey form in the opening) i think that could be deliberate#and they could have gotten billy to voice an entirely different line for that scene. but they reused his line from s3#in a very specific scene with wukongs narrative foil. hm#that aside I would have liked to hear billy voice the ‘you abandoned me’ line that would have killed me. but that’s just me lol#also looking at this I should have shaded the last frame to make it look more dramatic and serious but I ran out of time :(#if anything I want to see MK try and help them get back together. poor kid tries so hard to understand people so I think it would be cool to#see that happen. that’s what I like about him.. he asked macaque why he was working for LBD instead of accusing him of dooming everyone bc#he wants to and he tried to comfort spider queen by admitting he was scared of LBD too 😭😭#my art#myart#Lego Monkie kid#lmk#Monkie kid#lmk spoilers#Lego Monkie kid spoilers#lmk macaque#six eared macaque#lmk sun wukong#lmk swk#lmk MK#lmk xiaotian#lmk season 4#Lego Monkie kid s4

Is It Really Peace? (TrueForm!Sukuna x F!Reader) (Part 3)
For previous parts refer to Masterlist
Words: 5.5k // mdni
Tw: fluff/angst, hurt/comfort, depression and self-doubt (but overcoming it), cheeeeesy, Sukuna spoils you, he is so down bad, arranged marriage au, my happy marriage au
Teaser: Sukuna kneels beside you, stroking over your head gently. "I would never let a curse hurt you. I would never let anyone or anything hurt you for that matter, (Y/N)." He would make a binding vow right now, he means it. "Never."
Tumblr media
The heavy footsteps hardly phase you. They should. They used to. Now you are so lost in your sadness that nothing makes sense at all. You are no longer scared because you have accepted the calamity to come.
You want nothing more than to be around Lord Sukuna and Uraume, yet you isolate yourself entirely. It hardly makes sense but you are stuck. These unimaginable weights make you sink right into the earth.
It has been a few days. You have turned down every one of his attempts to get you to open up, you see him off in the mornings and greet him at night, you cook for him and eat with him even if you can hardly get anything down. He insists you eat a little at least. You don't dare to look at him anymore. It is not what Kaya said in of itself but your inability to stand up to her that thrusted you into this abyss. You really thought that things could be better but it is you. You are the problem. It has always been you. You are useless. They have been right the entire time.
Your door slides open, harshly, and Sukuna walks in unannounced with a cold expression. You know it's over. He will kill you now. He knows. He is fed up, will kill you cruelly because you deserve nothing less.
"Get dressed," he says in a mumble and puts a folded piece of clothing next to you, it is not a kimono. "That is an order. You said you wouldn't disobey."
"I… I have never worn–"
"Uraume will help you," he leaves. Sukuna is ice, his face seems to have turned to stone. It hurts.
"Miss (Y/N)," Uraume smiles softly and closes the door behind them. "How are you today?"
"I…," you have no answer. You feel so much and nothing at all. It hurts. It all just hurts and drags you down and you cannot get up.
"Oh," they look at the table where the finished braided cord is resting neatly. "You have already finished it. Will you give it to him?"
"I…," you can't answer that either and tears only bubble at your lash line.
"It looks beautiful. You done very well, Miss."
"Uraume," you whisper. "Thank you for everything. You… you have been so kind and accepting–"
"Miss… stop. Why are you sounding like you are saying goodbye," Uraume tilts their head in question and helps you get dressed into the hakama combo. "It will all be fine."
You close your eyes, letting them tie the knots, knowing it isn't true.
The fabric is so soft yet sturdy, the room you have to move is unfamiliar. He shouldn't have spent the money on you. Your eyes fall onto the box. He shouldn't have given you these beautiful gifts too. Uraume opens it and picks the ribbon out.
"I will tie your hair up, okay? It can't get in the way," they say.
In the way of what? Will Sukuna start by eating your face first?
"Are you done?" His voice rattles every bone in your chest.
"Yes, Master," Uraume announces and takes a step back.
Sukuna opens the door and grabs your wrist. It is not harsh but not as gentle as you know his touch to be either. He could crush your bones, he will. You are worthless and he is the strongest. He drags you along into the garden and eventually let's go when you reach the spear still functioning as a marker. Your hand drops to your side, your gaze turns to the gravel as he picks it up.
Will he use it to strike you down? You want to tell him… you want to tell him how–
"Keep up."
What does he mean? You look up and realize that there is already a considerable distance between you and him. He is jogging but with his height he is fast.
"Uh!" You realize you will lose him if you don't do anything and start running. The distance between you and him doesn't shrink. "S-Sukuna!" You gasp. Your lungs start to strain. You don't want to lose him.
You sprint, ignoring the burn in your lungs and the strain in your thighs. You run like you have never before fuelled by your sadness and frustration. You run and run and you can hardly see because you can't hold the tears back. You reach out blindly.
But you know he will be there.
Sukuna looks back, seeing you right behind him, reaching out for him. You have been a shell for nearly a week now. You do your chores, cook for him, sit with him when it is expected of you. But you aren't yourself. You aren't you. He has been trying to think about a way to help you regain that spark you had found for a brief moment. But what can he do? Confidence and trust in oneself is not something he can give. All the gifts in the world could not heal the wounds in your heart.
He doesn't take your hand. You are doing fine on your own. "Jump," he says.
You do. You trust him. You jump because you trust that it will be fine. You gasp, hold your breath, eyes tearing open upon feeling how you sail through the air. Oh no. How will you land? Does cursed energy have to– Sukuna wraps one of his strong arms around you before you meet the ground again and makes sure you land safely. You drop to your knees, shaking from exhaustion and what just happened alike. You stop crying almost instantly as you understand what just happened.
"Good," he says.
You look up. You just jumped down the cliff you and Sukuna stood on all the while back, overlooking the forest of cherry blossoms. You just did that, just like that. You just jumped and you are perfectly fine. Your body fills with thrills and pride and fear alike.
"Keep up and be quiet, my lady," he says and hurries along a trail. You follow quickly this time. Your heart is pounding. How is your body even moving like this?
Sukuna suddenly stops and couches behind a tall bush and you do the same, trying to see what he is seeing. Your blood is still pumping through you with vigor, you can hardly focus, but you see the deer nibbling on some bark in between the trees. Ah.
You are hunting.
"Do you want to try?" He whispers, offering you the spear.
How could he even trust you to do that? How could he even suggest it? You shake your head and watch the animal. It is so delicate, so unbothered. But–
"W-wait!" Your hand touches his shoulder, stopping him from taking momentum with the spear. "It's a mother… there… in the blueberries." A little fawn is stuck deep in the foliage, you can hardly see it. You don't know why you tell him… does he care? If he is ruthless then he surely wouldn't. But why would you even think that… you know him… you know he is not like people say. You know that. Why are you doubting it?
Sukuna squints and relaxes. "Ha, good that you came with me, my lady. I did not see," he says. "Which direction should we go?" He meets your questioning eyes.
Why would you make that decision? You don't know… anything.
"What does your intuition tell you?"
Your intuition? You think. No. You feel. Then look down a path. "This way."
You and Sukuna are quick on your feet and soon find a path you decide to follow. He tells you you did good. Sukuna is walking closely behind you but lets you lead the way. It is weird. You are so on edge, so thrilled. You feel like your body is releasing every dreadful feeling it has held on.
"Let's get a look from above," Sukuna says and starts to climb up an old, winding tree. You watch with big eyes. How are you even–
"Oh–" Sukuna reaches down and offers one of his hands, pulling you on the first thick branch.
"You got it from here."
Sukuna doesn't help you now. He lets you figure it out and you do, somehow. From your levitated position you spot a clearing not far.
"They graze–"
Your hand touches his and squeezes. Sukuna looks at you in surprise but your attention is focused on something else. He follows your gaze, seeing your face struck by absolute sublimity.
At first Sukuna thinks it is a deer in pure denial to the fact what is walking before his eyes. It is deer shaped alright but with a mane and tail that is blazing in a holy fire, scales all shimmering softly in the orange hue. It is majestic in every possible way. Two elaborately twisting horns sit on its head, his eyes are benevolent and warm. A Kirin. Sukuna knows they exist but to see one… it is unheard of. They are sacred, rare and Sukuna now understands better than ever.
The Kirin stops and its head turns. The fire dances, swirls and lashes. It looks into the canopy right at you. Its nostrils flare and it lets out soft noises then continues his amble through the forest, disappearing as quickly again, peaceful and quiet.
You look at Sukuna with wide, sparkling eyes.
You don't have words to share. What could one say in the face of divinity? Sukuna keeps staring at you.
You stay on the tree for a while… too shaken by what you were just granted to see but eventually you climb down again.
"Ah!" You exclaim when your foot slips but it is too late. You crash onto the ground.
Sukuna chuckles and offers you his hand.
He doesn't scold you. It is like falling and getting up is just part of the process. You can just try again, just continue.
He does not say so but the hunt is over. You both know it. Hunting after seeing a kirin, a creature who does not harm other living beings would be disrespectful. You just walk on.
You want to turn behind a boulder when you suddenly feel strange and stop. It is a restricting feeling, it spreads dizziness all inside your brain.
Sukuna watches you tense. The pink ribbon in your hair flies softly in the breeze as you look down with balled fists.
"S-something–"
"Cleave!"
Sukuna does feel fear. He thought he could not. Never truly has. Not in the face of curses. But when it comes to you, his precious wife, he is terrified. The curse appears out of nowhere and lunges for you. It is a low level curse, Sukuna exorcized it before it could even get anywhere close to you. It makes the fear he feels even more irrational. But it happened.
"A simple curs–"
You sink into a squad and hug your knees, sobbing unfiltered into your sleeves. You can't even see them. You can't even do anything because you lack what they all have.
Sukuna kneels beside you, stroking over your head gently. "I would never let a curse hurt you. I would never let anyone or anything hurt you for that matter, (Y/N)." He would make a binding vow right now, he means it. "Never."
You have to tell him. This is all a lie, he will hate you once he knows, you are a liar. You have to do it. Like you just jumped off a cliff, like you just ran and ran. With the feeling the Kirin inspired in you. You need to speak the truth. "I have no cursed energy of my own, Lord Sukuna," you say in a whisper. "Neither have I visited school long enough to be smart, I was never taught how to be a proper wife either. My days consisted of cleaning, of being the ridicule of the house, doing as my stepmother and sister saw fit. I have no skills a lady should have… that your lady should have. I am not as pretty as she should be either. I should have told you sooner but I was selfish… I just wanted to stay with you as long as possible because you are so kind and offer me so much warmth, Lord Sukuna. If you want me to go now… I will. If you want me to die… I will. I am so grateful for the time I was with you, you have made me happ-y," your voice breaks and by now you are kneeling to him, pressing your forehead into the grass.
"Look at me, (Y/N)."
You rise up but before you fully have his hand grabs your face and pulls you closer. It doesn't hurt, yet is the harshest he has been so far. Your cheeks squish together, your lips purse. You look at him in shock but not because of fear. It is the tears in his eyes.
"What do I have to do for you to understand I will never let you go again, hm? That you are the right one for me. I can carve your name into my flesh? I can… if you want your sister dead, I will– I would do anything!" He realizes he is letting his urges get the better of him and lets go of your face, softly catching your tears instead. "I have known you possess no cursed energy, my lady. It does not matter. It is not why I asked for this arrangement."
You sob and like you hugged him in the cover of the night, you do it now in broad daylight. He pulls you onto his lap, holding you closely to his broad chest.
"If you allow me to stay–"
"I want you to stay."
"I want to stay," you say with courage and look him dead in the eyes. "Forever. With you. I want to stay."
Sukuna feels his chest flutter. He is so weak again. He smiles. "Heh. Forever," he nods, wiping your cheeks clean of the tears before pulling you close once more. "You cannot worry me for a while now, okay? I can't take it." He presses his face into your shoulder, breathing you in. "From now on… you know you are mine."
You feel how your cheeks burn as you look into the canopy of the trees with a blurring vision making every soft. Your hands slowly come up and your fingers dig into his thick pink hair, holding his head dearly.
"I am yours, Sukuna-sama," you whisper and you can feel how he smiles.
He pulls away after a long moment, reveling in your gentle embrace for as long as he can. You keep sitting in the grass by the boulder, relaxed and content. Your hands stay together, fingers intertwined softly. You are not scared of his hands. Not one bit. His presence does something to you that is pleasant. It is never fear.
You laugh. You laugh truly. From the depths of your heart.
Sukuna is ogling at you. You are just so beautiful. Your joy is a gift to witness.
"What is it?" He asks with a smile.
"You must be aware of the rumors about you," you say. "I convinced myself you would eat me. I hardly slept the first nights, and every time I messed up I expected it to happen… and today I was so sure you would gobble me right up. But I know better."
Sukuna laughs now too. It is a rumbling yet so delicate. Your lips part as you watch how his head falls back and his teeth flash. He is beautiful.
"Eat you? Hm?" He uses his lower set of arms to support his weight. He moves closer towards you. His fangs grace the delicate skin on your neck and you gasp softly. "I would eat you," he whispers into your skin. "I bet you'd taste so sweet."
You know your face is as red as a tomato. Your blood is surging and bubbling and pooling at your core. This is not fear either.
He kisses your cheek and sits back. Your reaction is adorable, he watches with his lower set of eyes. You try to not smile but it fights itself onto your lips.
"I like running and jumping and climbing," you tell him. "It feels… free." A lady should not do any of these things yet Sukuna knew it was exactly what you needed… you needed to break through, needed to push yourself. Maybe that is the reason all the women before you were not a fit. You accepted his guidance.
"I intend on teaching you how to use a weapon," he says and your gaze shoots up to him.
"Really?" You marvel.
"If we go hunting together you simply must."
"Of course," you feel excited. You will train so hard. You will make him proud.
"The bow might be a good fit for you. But you need to build up strength and stamina first." Sukuna is bargaining that giving you something as special as wielding a weapon will settle your confidence in yourself further. Whatever your sister may say or do… you can kill her. That would be comforting to him.
"Sukuna-sama, seeing a Kirin foretells that a great leader will appear, right? It has to be you and why it let us see it."
Sukuna just looks at you with delicate softness. The Kirin was not looking at him… it was looking at you.
"Let us head back," he smiles. "Let's see if you can keep up this time."
"I was right behind you, my lord!" You protest softly.
He just grins and you run again, jumping over fallen tree trunks and dodging branches. It is so much fun. You approch an obstacle and Sukuna starts to climb.
"W-wait–"
"Your foot," he points to a little hook the rocks create.
"But– oh." You feel embarrassed. You have the range of movement now in these clothes. You bring your foot up and he tells you where to put your hands.
"Pull yourself up. Yes. Good girl," he smiles. "Now shift your foot there and reach higher." He explains it step by step, helping you overcome this obstacle with your own strength. When you are at the top, looking down at the forest of cherry blossoms you feel a little pride. You are breathless nonetheless. Sukuna then follows.
"Seems like you have beat me."
You both know it's not true, that he could have been up the little cliff in the blink of an eye if he hadn't guided you but you both just smiled. You hold your hand out to help him up, using all your strength to pull at him. You both chuckle.
"It's gonna happen soon," you say, eyes darting at the forest below. "They will bloom."
"Yes," he is looking at you.
You look down at your pants and your face twists. "Oh no," you try brushing off the dirt.
"That's normal."
"But I love them so much."
"The tailor will come by the day after tomorrow with the rest of your new clothes. Then you will have many to choose from," he says and your eyes soften.
"Y-you– that must have cost so much! I… you shouldn't–"
"I am your husband. I can spend as much as I want on you," he waves at you dismissively.
Your chest tugs and twists, you feel warm and fuzzy. "You are not my husband… yet, Lord Sukuna?"
His face grimaces upon realizing what he has unintentionally said, and that in his mind he has been calling you wife already too. "Well… yes… I mean… you know what I mean!" He snaps and turns away blushing. "Let's return." He walks ahead, crossing his arms.
You smile, watching him and then looking back at the forest again.
He meant it when he said that you are right where you need to be, that whatever worries you is not important. If his words couldn't ease your mind, his actions can. And the grace of the Kirin.
"Are you coming?"
"Y-yes!" You run after him.
He leaves the spear as a marker again. "I really need to do something about that," he mumbles. "I need to head to work quickly, just to check something. I will be back soon. Will you be okay?" You approach the house now. He has an urgency in his tone suddenly.
"Of course," you nod. "Be careful."
He sighs, relieved to hear you say it again. "Always. Until later."
You bow and watch him go around the house. He is basically running. You don't think much of it.
You step inside and Uraume greets you. "How was the hunt, Miss? Did you–" You wrap your arms around them, holding them. They pat your back. Uraume is not big on showing affection. "There, there," they say.
Sukuna drives like a madman. He has been trying to not let you know. It probably is nothing. It has to be nothing. But the Kirin and the fact at hand that you–
"Lord Sukuna? Do you not have the day off?" Godo asks upon seeing his superior enter the halls of Jujutsu Tech.
"Yes, but… can we talk?" Sukuna trusts Godo. He is a giddy fellow who cannot take things seriously unless he absolutely has to. He is talented and loyal. Sukuna respects him.
"You seem gloomy, sir?" Godo chuckles. "What ghost did ya see?"
"Not a ghost… but something happened that makes no sense to me. My fiance–"
"Oh! She is still your fiance?! That is a new record!"
Sukuna sighs deeply. "Godo… focus. My fiance has no cursed energy… yet she seemed to have sensed a curse approaching us. She was in no state of fear or near death, it was a simple curse, it should have gone unnoticed to her…?"
Godo's face twists and he thinks. "It should have. How peculiar… we should talk to–"
"No. This is between you and me. I don't want the (L/N) to know."
"Okay," Godo understands. After Yuji had told Sukuna how you have been brought up, he tasked Godo to find out some more. He is in the picture. "I will hit the archives. Maybe I can find something."
"Thank you, Godo."
Sukuna sits in his office and thinks, recalling the moment. You knew there was a curse before even he did. And yes, he might have been distracted but he is always vigilant. It is peculiar. Perhaps it was just a coincidence. It must be. But the Kirin….
He cannot let it rest and follows Godo into the archives. They might find something quicker together.
》》》》
"Welcome, Master," Uraume greets him.
They see his confusion at your absence. "Miss (Y/N) has been working in the garden all day. She is still out there."
"I see," he smiles softly.
"Did you not have the day off?"
"Uraume… have you ever noticed anything strange about (Y/N) in terms of Jujutsu?" He asks.
"I thought she had no cursed energy?"
"She doesn't but… today in the wood she noticed a curse. Sensed it somehow. It was such a small one that I hadn't even realized it was near."
Uraume's eyes give their surprise away. "Well, have you noticed that she is not attracting curses. I feel like with her gloom and depression she should."
"You are right," Sukuna pinches the bridge of his nose. He hates this. What does it mean? Heavenly restrictions? Maybe you do have cursed energy? Maybe it all is just a coincidence. "And then, another thing. We saw a Kirin."
"A Kirin?!"
"Yes. And it looked right at her. I do not know what it all means."
"We have to keep an eye on her," Uraume is weirdly serious but only for a moment. "I just mean, you won't be lucky again, I mean."
Sukuna snarls and gently pushes Uraume out of his way. He walks outside and finds you sweeping away all the weeds you have ripped from the paths. It looks like a war zone. His spear is laying on the porch so he assumes you have marked the spot with something else. You have cut back the bushes and cleaned up the stones by the house too.
"(Y/N)? Come inside, you have done more than enough," he calls with a smile.
Your eyes light up when you see him. You are covered in dirt. It is adorable. "Lord Sukuna! You are back!" You put away the broom and dust yourself off before handing him his spear.
"I marked the spot with one of the rocks that stick out of the pond," you tell him.
He frowns. "The bigger ones? How did you move it?"
You shrug, "you said I have to become stronger. It was just training." It took you so long, you nearly gave up. You rolled and pushed the stone, carrying it no more than two steps at a time.
He chuckles, "go take a bath, little brute."
You nod and are about to head inside but he stops you again. "I… I am proud of you for smiling again."
You swallow, "you help me smile, Sukuna."
》》》》
"Uraume! Where is my weaponry bag? I'll be late–"
"Sukuna-sama?" You don't really know how to go about this. But you just have to jump from this cliff too. Just jump. You can do it. "I noticed that the strap was all worn out… so… I made a new one and replaced it," you hold it out for him to take. "I know it is nothing but I wanted to give you something. A sign of my gratitude."
Sukuna takes the straps and feels over the braided ridges, the pink, red and gold look majestic together. He can feel the work, the emotions you have put in each and every knot. You have made this just for him. He sighs softly.
"Thank you," he whispers. "Thank you. You made this? It is perfect. Thank you. I need to go!" He says curtly and practically slams the door in your face.
You smile softly. He is not walking on but instead standing there on the other side of the door so you wait.
"(Y/N)?"
"Yes, my lord."
"Sometimes I don't know how to properly express my feelings."
"I understand," you smile. "I am glad you like it."
"Thank you, my dear."
"Be careful at work."
"Of course."
》》》》
"Oh, Miss (Y/N)," the tailor smiles as she sees you. "I am so happy to see you again."
She barely lets you talk because she is just so excited to show you everything. It is so adorable, you never had an experience like this. You sit in the drawing room. Uraume is by your side and Sukuna is leaning against the wall just outside of the room, keeping a respectful distance as you slip in and out of kimonos to try them on.
She shows you all the beautiful pieces she has made, they are sturdy and silky and perfect. The craftsmanship is unmatched. You never imagined owning such luxurious clothes. And the more practical pieces make you so excited. When Sukuna took you to the studio you thought he just wanted to dress you in a kimono so he would not feel embarrassed showing his face with you. But no, Sukuna is generous.
"But the center piece must be this one."
"Oh," you breathe sharply seeing the shiny pink fabric and the cherry blossoms that are woven into it.
"Oh, Miss (Y/N)! Why are you crying!" The tailor smiles and Uraume strokes softly over your back to comfort you.
"I am sorry. My mother…. She had one just like this. It was destroyed," you explain.
Sukuna smiles softly. He didn't even know that.
"I am sorry, Miss. I am so happy. Thank you."
"Oh, don't you be! Your fiance hand picked this one out for you," she smiles.
"Sukuna-sama?" You run out of the room in just your undergarments. "You did? Thank you so much!"
Uraume snickers and the tailor giggles hearing the king of curses stammer for words. "Y-yes."
"I am so grateful!"
"You made me the strap…. It's nothing compared to the work–"
"Miss (Y/N) you are flustering the young lord. Come back inside. I have accessories too."
》》》》
"You are Miss (Y/N)?! No way!"
"He never mentioned how beautiful you are."
Sukuna's pen drops and he nearly knocks over his chair storming out of his office.
"Leave that grumpy oaf and marry me!" Godo is holding your hands, smiling brightly. Something in Sukuna lights ablaze.
"Godo!" Sukuna growls darkly.
"You're not the jealous type, are you, Lord Sukuna?" Godo grins.
"No. I am just feeling a violent impulse," Sukuna grabs Godo and shoves him aside. "Don't you have something to do?!"
Godo chuckles, "definitely jealousy." He winks at you, "think about it, Miss (Y/N)."
"No, she won't!" Sukuna barks. He is kneeling down and his gaze immediately softens as it falls on you, his hands are on your shoulders. "(Y/N), what are you doing here? Did something happen? Are you okay?"
"All is well," you smile. "I just meant to bring you something to eat so you don't go hungry for your night shift." You hold out the bag for him.
Instead of taking it he leans closer and kisses your forehead. You hold your breath and a smile grows on your lips. Your body is shutting down, you don't think you can tell where left and right is anymore.
"Thank you, my dear. I will walk you out. Is Uraume with you?" He takes the lunch and puts it safely away.
"Yes, of course. I did not mean to interrupt you, my lord!"
He turns back to you and stops. You are wearing one of your new kimonos, wearing the ribbon he gifted you too and you look healthy… you glow. He pats your head. "I am happy to see you." You start to wall.
"I wanted to visit the department store and see what is common for garden decoration and furniture," you tell him. "There is so much wood in the shed, I thought I could build something… well, maybe."
Sukuna smiles, "or you simply buy the things you want?"
"No," you wave your hands.
"Lord Sukuna?"
"Ugh," he groans and rolls his eyes. "Just a moment, my lady. What is it?" You wait in the hallway as Sukuna disappears inside of an office.
You have been working tirelessly to get the garden all cleaned up. Sukuna was right, you enjoy it so much. You hope you will finish up today and then there is only the question of what to add to the garden. You would love a bird feeder and some lanterns.
"(Y/N), what in the world are you doing here?"
You turn and see your father. Kaya is right next to him.
"I have no interest in–"
"I just brought my fiance dinner," you say. Your heart is pounding. You think about the cliff. You just jumped. You just ran and you just jumped. Sukuna has your back for anything else. "I had no intention to see you," you say.
"Ha! Father! How is she being so disrespectful to you?!"
"I am not being disrespectful, Kaya. Father asked a question and I answered it."
She looks at you with fury, scanning you up and down. "Do you think just because you're wearing an expensive kimono now, you are something?!" Kaya laughs.
Not because of the kimono, no. You smile when Sukuna steps out of the office again. He looks at you, then your father and Kaya. Her smile drops instantly.
"(L/N)," Sukuna nods at your father and stands beside you, laying a hand on your back. You can tell his mood is darker, that there is tension. "Everything alright, my dear?" He leans down a little.
"My dear?" Kaya says. She is so shocked.
"Yes, of course. Father thought I wanted to see him. It was just a misunderstanding. You need to get back to work, don't you? I find the way," you smile and nod. "Be careful, my lord. I see you in the morning."
"Okay. Thank you for visiting me," Sukuna smiles too. "Here," he drops his purse into your hands.
"Wait– I–"
"Just get your bird feeder," he pats your head and turns away. He nods at your father then walks back the way you came.
You hold the heavy purse in your hands and take a shaky breath. Then you too turn to your family.
"Have a good day," you bow to them and walk on, finding Uraume and Godo chatting before the building. You feel a little lightheaded just like you did when you jumped. You did not let them get to you. And while somewhere it hurts that your father couldn't even say hello, couldn't even be a little happy to see you; you swallowed it and stored it in that place deep inside of you.
.
.
.
.
"Father? Why is (Y/N)... why does she get…?! I should have been engaged to Lord Sukuna!" Kaya shrieks. "Look how he treats her! I should be living in that kind of luxury! Change it!"
"Don't be ridiculous." But he doesn't understand how you managed to win the king of curses over either. This should have been your death sentence… it was supposed to be.
"Father! I want to make (Y/N)–"
"If you don't tell me it doesn't concern me."
Kaya grins. "I understand, father."

Bodies and Souls- part 2/2
(Part1)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A little explaination below
This is based of the theory that Yuuji's cursed technique is the ability to swap souls (therefore swapping bodies, hinted in chapter 222(?) when Yuuji and Kusakabe seemed to have done so while training).
Yuuji uses this to swap souls with Megumi to get him out of there, and takes control of Sukuna's body because his soul is stronger than Sukuna's body (shown in the story previously with Suguru taking over Kenjaku momentarily, and Toji taking over that Grandson dude's body when brought back, both in S2).
Just incase it didn't make sense the person in page 3 is Megumi in Yuuji's body after the swap and the second last one is yuuji's soul.
Oof I've had this theory literally since jjk222 but wasn't sure how it'd play out but now it clicked so I'm glad I was able to make this heh

I always think about how similar humans are to each other on a fundamental level. We all feel the same core emotions but differ tremendously in the way we respond to them.

Seeing tlt fanart made me realize that Nona's amorousness and attraction to Corona is almost a visual inversion of Anastasia and Alecto. Corona *ahem* Crown and Alecto are both described as near perfect articulations of their gender - bosomous, voluptuous, blonde, beautiful. Both a little mentally fucked as a sprinkle. But Alecto hates her physical form, implicitly because it was created with such a vision by a mortal-made-divine man. It shows how disgustingly tragic Alecto's lot in (human) bodily existence is, how she could have loved her body if it wasn't crafted by a man intending her body to be something he would be sexually attracted to, if it didn't confine her to such a limited physical experience (where are the rest of her legs!), and if it could be a body that she grew with and learned to mold and use like Corona. Alecto hates her form, but when she is placed in the body similar to her true love and partner's, she is able to appreciate and be attracted to a body similar to the one crafted for her. Harrow's body is a descendant of Anastasia's. She is able to love her body (ie something approximating it) literally through her lover's eyes.

thank you for blessing us with twst pokemon au i appreciate it greatly. if i may ask you a question
how does one read book 7 without selling their soul to the deep dark web. i've been wanting to read the other parts for a while but i can't find a place with all the chapters. i've seen translations on youtube but i don't think they have all of them?
(also why'd you government name mickey like that on your last post what did he do)
thank you! :D
I'm not really sure where to find up-to-date main story translations, so opening it up to the floor for other people to chime in! for reference, the latest release in JP was episode 7 chapter 6 on December 11th, which covered 7-88 through 7-100. fingers crossed for more in February...but that's where we're at right now!

A little spontaneous analysis on Sukuna and his view on love and rejection that I blurted out while reading about Heian Era marriage this morning 🤓
That Sukuna panel came to mind with him saying, he’s “a cursed, unwanted little wretch”. (I was told “hated” was another way to translate it, but it’s the same in the end).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Disclaimer: These are just my thoughts using this specific translation. However Sukuna is a complex character and nothing is black and white and I’m probably heavily cherry picking here or reading way too much into this more than I should or would be necessary. 😆 WELL
Somehow it struck to me that one of the FEW things we know about Sukuna, is that he never married or bore any children. This is even more interesting, considering the fact that in the JJK verse, we do have a few absent wifes/lovers to name, that we know little to nothing about. Be it Megumi‘s mother, Kaori or a nonexistent wife of Sukuna. People often claim that Sukuna is a virgin, cause he didn’t marry or had kids. This is a whole other discussion, but this claim kept lingering in my head and made me think about marriage in the first place. Marriage and children often being a wholesome concept of love in our modern understanding, I first thought the marriage thing to be in connection to his claim to love being useless, that he not even once had interest in love. I think there‘s more to that.
Tumblr media
(although I do think that someone who claims that love is worthless kinda sounds heartbroken, but yeah anyway)
But then I thought „wait we’re speaking ancient times, did love play any role in marriage anyway?“
We still don‘t know the social status in which Sukuna was born in, but in regards to heian era, marriage was first and foremost a thing to secure and show social status. Marriages out of love weren‘t common, even seen as unrealistic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Marriages were mostly arranged, often when they were still teenagers even. And this is what caught my attention. Sukuna says he was born a cursed unwanted little wretch and I first assumed this claim purely focuses on his parents and his early childhood.
Tumblr media
But given the social norms in heian era, what if it also meant that he was literally unable to marry later on, that he wasn’t just unwanted by his by his parents, but by a possible spouse as well? Him saying he was “cursed and unwanted” indicates that it was a state he was put in, not a state he sought out to be. You could even argue, that him saying he was “unwanted” or “hated” even required him not wanting to be treated that way. Which child would want that? Which makes it even more interesting that he says, that he never thought about needing someone else to fulfill him. In connection to what I said before, it could almost sound hateful. As well as this moment here, which always occurred to me as if he said it from own experience.
Tumblr media
Because when you grow up in a surrounding that hates & repels you, it makes sense that you grow indifferent to society, but it doesn’t necessarily mean it was always that way. Him being unwanted makes so much sense in connection with him saying, that he focuses solely on himself and that he has complete disregard to others. Which makes sense, when it’s a result of not having anybody who wants or loves you. It leaves you with yourself and yourself only.
Tumblr media
I know a lot of you really wanna fight the thought of Sukuna having a hard childhood but who cares honestly? I don‘t think it would make him less of a strong character. Every human is the result of their surroundings and as stated, Sukuna is human too. Based on that, you could even argue that the only kind of love he knows and sees as the real love, was an aggressive one. This would explain why he sees the slaughter of those who fought Kashimo as love.
Tumblr media
Ok back to marriage! When I read about marriage, there was another thing that caught my attention and that was poetry! We know Sukuna is a little nerd, who is eager to learn and it’s indicated that he even enjoyed poetry. (His immediate reaction to Yorozu‘s Haiku being that it lacks the seasonal word.) Back then, when someone was about to apply for marriage, what did they do? Yeah right, they wrote letters to someone.
Tumblr media
As I stated above, you could assume that there was a time, where Sukuna was not utterly hateful and indifferent to social contacts (I know that’s a reach, but that’s up for interpretation as long as we don’t know his backstory.)
If we assume, that Sukuna was born looking the way he looks, then it wouldn’t surprise me if there was a lot of rejection involved in the way the proposal was practised as described above. I don‘t wanna paint Sukuna as the poor rejected here, but idk maybe he was.
We all eagerly await Sukuna‘s backstory and I‘m so excited to learn about him. This suddenly turned into an analysis of Sukuna and his view on love and whatnot, but please remember, I’m not saying that any of this might have actually happened.
It’s just some connections my brain made while reading about marriage and thinking about some of the stuff that Sukuna said. I just had to write it down.

"Great Alastor Altruist* died for his friends!"
This scene has been spinning in my brain since Thursday. Like a lot of other people, my first thought was that this was an indication that Alastor had grown to care for Charlie and her friends at the hotel. And it's not because of the words he says. Even if you're watching without subtitles and don't see the quotations around that phrase, it's pretty obvious that he's laughing at the very thought.
"Me? Alastor? Dying for them?"
"Ridiculous."
"Absurd!"
"Utterly laughable!"
No, what makes me think that there might be a kernel of truth there isn't the words by themselves. It's the look on his face as he says them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the part where Alastor's angry snarl breaks and he begins to look genuinely afraid. He clutches his chest. He digs his fingers into his scalp, drags his hand down the side of his face. And that's a perfectly reasonable reaction to nearly dying! It's very human! But I think it's very telling that this expression doesn't settle on his face until he's talking about dying for someone else. Before this he looked more angry than anything, and he lapses back into anger up until he begins talking about trying to find a way out of his deal.
Now, don't get me wrong, I understand why anyone would think otherwise. The thing about Alastor is that, despite how blatant it is, his mask works. Like I stated earlier, I find myself searching every word, expression, and gesture from Alastor for double meaning. Ostensibly, there's no one here for Alastor to lie to**. No one he has to put up an act for. But his smile, which he's already fully admitted is faker than fake, remains firmly in place. I wonder if putting up an act is so second nature to him at this point he can't help but do it even when he's alone. Maybe he tries to fool himself as much as other people.
I believe that he has come to care, but I can't fully believe it. I won't be surprised to be wrong. But there are some scenes that just don't make sense to me if he really doesn't care at all.
Tumblr media
His chat with Niffty the night before the extermination, for example. Niffty isn't really someone he needs to trick. He has power over her, whether it's because he owns her soul or because of her blind devotion to him. It's telling that while everyone else is hanging out together, sharing drinks at the bar, Alastor keeps his distance and positions himself above them. At this point, Alastor seems to care about them the way we, the audience, care about them; as entertainment. He's enjoying watching their story unfold up close, but that's all there is to it. He admits to Niffty that one could get accustomed to being with them. Not him though! He's above all that.
Then the battle happens. At first, Alastor's role in the battle didn't require him to assume too much risk. He was on crowd control, limiting the number of exorcists the rest of the hazbins have to deal with at once. And he slayed a not insubstantial number of angels in the process***. But then Adam broke through Alastor's shield and singled him out. It would have been reasonable for Alastor to put some distance between himself and the Lead Exorcist. Charlie did say it was his job to deal with Adam, but as I've already discussed, Alastor really had no hope of winning that fight alone. Maybe if he'd escaped right then and there, or fought Adam alongside Charlie things would have turned out differently. Granted, I don't think his pride would have allowed him to take either of those options.
Tumblr media
Regardless, the end result is that Alastor did come very close to dying for a cause that wasn't his. Considering what Adam did to the hotel, Alastor's pretty damn lucky he's not in two pieces here.
Now, I don't think this means Alastor is immediately going to turn around and integrate int o the hazbin family. Immediately after this line where he mocks the idea of dying for Charlie's cause, he gets angry again, leans further into the Radio Demon persona and starts contemplating ways to escape his contract. I think, that like someone recoiling after accidentally touching a hot stove, Alastor's going to pull further away from them. One thing I am certain about is how Alastor feels about his leash; he hates it. He wants to be rid of it. He doesn't know how to do that yet, but he's working out a plan and having Charlie in his corner is part of that plan. Giving a genuine shit about her or the other hazbins is not part of that plan. It's another leash, not as literal as the one connecting him to his patron but just as binding.
Alastor realizing he might actually care about these people may just make him more dangerous to them than if he just didn't care at all.
-
(*The word 'altruist' here being used as a title, not a name. Like something you'd see in a newspaper headline, or on a headstone.)
(**There do seem to be some odd eye motifs in the environment, but at no point does Alastor give any indication he is aware of them or acknowledge their presence in anyway. And I highly doubt he would have said certain things if he believed his patron was actively watching him.)
(***Taking this opportunity to go off topic a bit to call the Vees out on their hypocrisy. For all their bluster about 'taking the fight to Heaven' and how 'pussy' the older Overlords supposedly are, I didn't see any of them on the battlefield. Alastor was. He fought as long and hard as he could. There was nothing cowardly about him living to fight another day.)
