aether probably isn't too into kpop tbh💀 he supports xiao in his dreamcatcher stanning but that's probably the only group he actually knows members and stuff lol. he definitely watches survival shows tho and spam texts xiao every elimination episode. doesn't keep up with the groups after the show ends. i can definitely see him stanning eunbi post-iz*one, he makes underwater his ringtone. also stans alexa and watched all of american song contest bc she was his pick during produce 48

jean probably listens to popular groups just bc she doesn't have much time to search out for any smaller ones. can see her liking red velvet, feel my rhythm is her favorite song from them. will listen to any group that any of the people in the au tell her about, and from them I can see her listening to iz*one and purple kiss

childe is payola(/j). no but fr tho, whenever his faves release anything ever he is collecting albums and photocards until he has complete collection. he's rich and so will travel to south korea to watch his groups at inkigayo and music bank so he can get broadcast pcs. he's not creepy tho and so he's on "friendly stranger" terms with most of the idols in groups he likes. at this point, it's a game with his fans to find him in the background of any photos of groups he likes leaving/entering a music show. can see him liking a mix of groups, so probably twice, aespa, cherry bullet, and loona

heizou loves any and all groups that have lore. pixy, loona, stray kids, etc. if they have some sort of lore, then you can count on heizou being a fan of them. probably doesn't collect all that much, he usually just buys one version of an album and accepts whatever photocards are in it like a weirdo. definetly does streams going through groups music videos/etc to look for lore and make theories

I need you to know that I squawked at the cliffhanger of childe’s appearance. Lost my mind and almost threw my phone. Fingers crossed that Aether got to him before the banquet!

But to the chapter as a whole! There are?? So many things I wanna talk about? I’ll try to keep it somewhat short so I can fit it all into one ask but sienussnei-

I’m like 50 percent sure those strings pulled had something to do with the fauti. Something I remembered!! Not every person from the house of the hearth becomes one of the fauti! But they still do remain close to the group! My crack theory is that Rosalie is one of people in that latter group. Arlecchino was able to fully attempt an assassination on Furina without anyone knowing before or after( including the orphans in this as well since they don’t say thing about it as far as i know? And im absolutely positive they wouldn’t push for more info and take her at her word that she didn’t have the gnosis) and the only reason why it was a attempt and not a success is because she stopped herself! Either way though, considering her disguise used for that same attempt, I sure that the hooded figure was Father herself.

ALSO THE PINING OF THIS MAN!!! That polearm?? The sudden flip from fake to real the moment he saw Rosseland (I’m assuming that was the kitty in question) had led Thawed!Reader to him? The instant flirtations? Not to mention that despite the fact Thawed!Reader kept talking about kissing him, he refused!! Because he knew they were both drunk and not quite in their right minds to do that!!! THE MAN CARES!! It’s also a blessing and a curse rn that Thawed!Reader is kinda drunk. A blessing because she isn’t hiding her feelings as much, but a curse because she isn’t being subtle at all. The straight forward question she asked? Lyney isn’t drunk enough to forget that.

The callback to the last chapter too! She really does know lyney so well, even after all this time. He was right, she did know he was lying. And she’s just sitting there, trying to figure out what’s going on while Aether’s just sitting there like ‘you two nerds love each other.’ Not that she would admit it out loud. Yet. Also RIP reader, paimon and Rosalie are friends now, friendship forged by food. They aren’t gonna leave readers life once this is over and done. Say goodbye to your peace and quiet! (Although lyney may complain about that but that’s a different story-)

Losing my mind also over Rosalie and Thawed!Reader’s connection. She doesn’t even realize she is calling Rosalie maman!! But Rosalie does and it’s just so soft and sweet and family and rurnfjkeis. I’ve known Rosalie for 7 chapters and if anything happens to her I will kill everyone in this room and then myself.

Our interview was unfortunately cut short, mostly due to her husband shooing us away like unwelcome birds on a balcony. But we did manage to get one question in before we were shoved away. How do you feel about returning to your work so quickly after your last adventure?

"Well it was a breath of fresh air. I had been away from it long enough and i was starting to get that itch, like an insect biting you it just wouldn't go away. So when i was able to i picked up my quill and started penning notes and theories about all i had seen and how this changes everything we know about aether manipulation and allagan historical theories... What do you mean this was a question about being the warrior of light. that's not my job, i don't get paid to be the warrior of light. That's more of a part-time job really. Contractor work even, the conditions are brutal, i barely make enough profit to feed myself, i'm unable to quit until my contract is up or i'm replaced. And my contract isn't ending any time soon, and by the looks of things i won't be replaced either I do however get paid to publish my theories, quite nicely too. Its enough to break even and fund more theory publications or ventures into allagan ruins, or even my own inventions and projects that land me a nice pot of gil. Like that ice cooler the ala mhigans were really interested to get

ok so i have had A DAY. but!! i have good news and i have bad news, and its all in the form of the "bad news" you're reading now. as in. the article. that is written poorly. for those who do not know me, hello! a pleasure to have your attention. you may call me Teslas. i hope to deliver information to you again, eventually.

i was writing an article on the University, specifically the anti-magic department. im sure most people who attended actually got through the required unit of anti studies, at least. you know, you took apart stage magician's wands over the course of the semester and made them fancy sticks by the end, barely able to produce a single petal, let alone a full bouquet. you saw what made them tick. you got bored and never took another class over there again unless you had to.

me too! so relatable.

still, i did work at the library one semester, so i knew how to coax the cats to fetch me the most promising tomes containing the most promising theories to discuss with Professor John F. W. Herschel, head of the AM department. my goal was to wrap my head around how anti-magic worked, or just... maybe how it worked, if the academics hadn't gotten to definitive statements yet. its okay.

we all struggle with self-confidence sometimes, and that includes fields of study.

anyways, i found a book with a theory that i really liked. the book was 50 pounds so i just copied down the singular page the particular theory was written on. said theory was that magic was not unlike a soundwave, just rippling the aether. it stands to reason that if magic works like a wave, the exact opposite waveform would cause destructive interference and produce something like what we see with anti-magic fields, curses and the like.

that was the good news, that i found that.

the bad news is that this is where my good luck ended.

i was so planning on talking to Prof J. F. W. Herschel, but on the way to his office there are the herbology gardens and The Hedge. Any self-respecting student would know to turn right, lest you be taken by The Hedge for turning left at the first crossroad. dear reader, once upon a time, i was taken by The Hedge. for a while i lived there, eating berries that aged my soul and greyed a single hair for each one i swallowed. i heard the voice of my sibling, referring to me as... my full, legal name. i knew not to listen, as they were gone, and whatever this thing was was not my beloved Steve, as Steve called me... not my full legal name.

but my friends, despite my reluctance to approach the entrance to the garden, even if i was to pass it, i trekked on. and i trekked closer. and then I stopped at the gate, to look at my one-time prison, ever verdant through the work of the Groundskeeper, my savior, my warden.

It called to me. The Hedge called to me. It wanted me back. It missed me, and I missed it. I missed falling asleep to the thought of not knowing which twists and turns I'd take on the morrow, that I was exploring depths to which no mortal had ever seen or would ever see again, Divines willing. The beast that called my name, that mournfully yearned for my embrace, or so it said—I wanted to answer its call once and for all, to know the face of the one who wanted me to a greater and grander extent than any creature ever did and ever will.

My hand touched the gate. I began to undo the latch, ready to hear its endearing welcoming screech one last time. But then I remembered, I had to deliver my article to Straw. The Hedge's call did not supersede my duties to my friend and my wider community. Not right now.

I'm assuming this ask was meant for Satien! So let me share some of his hobbies he likes to do when he has free time - and doesn't use that to pick up one job after another..

I think the biggest hobby of Satien is reading and gaining knowledge, there it doesn't matter if the books are about theories of aether manipulation or different types of magics! Historical books and even certain fairytales are something he wouldn't deny either, never judge a book by it's cover, ay? The love for books is quite visible in his apartment too, as there are more shelves filled with books then anything else...

A seeker of knowledge you might say!

Quite surprisingly Satien also really likes to draw, it's a hobby he picked up shortly after he started to work in Limsa Lominsa. For the most part his drawings are sketches of landscapes and sometimes even his friends or his faithful Griffin companion Ha'rhul. The drawings are mostly black and white, but on some he tried to use watercolors though! It's one of the hobbies he kind doesn't really speak about as the drawings are stored aside in his apartment, not exactly hidden but also not easy to spot. Yet he doesn't deny that those drawings are made by him, but gets easily flustered about them xD

Another hobby of his would be playing the violin! He picked up an instrument together with his childhood friend Arya, so they would be able to play together in a duet. However, he has a tendency to play it when no one is around - not because he isn't good at playing it! Not at all, but he isn't used to others listening, well-; except for Ha'rhul but she is literally a Griffin.. I'm sure he would enjoy though to play every now and then for his friends and loved ones.

And last but most certainly not least! Satien really enjoys to explore ruins and learn about the history of them, many times has he camped nearby some older ones and got a bit carried away exploring them.

Why This Yuuko Comic Is So Fucked Up

Spoilers for @evermorethecrow's Yuuko!AU, CW for breaking down what I think is grooming and generally weird and inappropriate behavior from a character within the AU.

 

In @/evermorethecrow’s alternate “Bungou Stray Dogs” universe (Yuuko!AU), the reader is introduced to the character “Misacho Hitashi”. Specifically in this post we are given a good look at Misacho as a person. However, the actions taken by Misacho in this comic are completely concerning. In fact, I argue that this comic is incredibly fucked up.

  Starting from the first panel, we see that Misacho has just finished a work shift. While that’s not incriminating on its own, Misacho’s status as a working adult will be important to keep in mind as the comic continues. It’s also important to note how Misacho goes to lean on Chuuya, cigarette in hand. In the sixth panel it’s revealed that Misacho is significantly taller than Chuuya, more than an entire head taller in fact. Misacho is actively pushing herself into Chuuya’s space. This is seen again in the second panel. Misacho may look similar in height to Chuuya at first, but with their actual height difference in mind it’s clear she is purposefully clinging onto Chuuya, even crawling on the ground to do so. I will also pull your attention back to their age difference. Misacho is a working woman, 26 or 27 years old at this point. She, as implied in the comic, has her own place and a regular job. Chuuya is 12 or 13 in the comic. A 26 year old woman is hanging off of him, claiming she’s scared one of her customers will “follow her home to kill her”. She’s also smoking quite close to him too which is, while not her worst offense, still quite concerning.

  Moving on to panels three and four, Misacho still tries to convince Chuuya she’s terrified despite the backing of the Sheep. This is what prompts Chuuya to offer to stay the night instead. I say “instead”, because Misacho reveals toward the end that she was purposefully manipulating Chuuya into coming home with her. While she claims this was for good intentions, the faces she makes and her general behavior make this hard to believe. Going back to the fourth panel, Chuuya, clearly uncomfortable, says that he “left some stuff there last time anyway”. Chuuya has been to Misacho’s place before (a woman I remind you is 26), enough that he has left stuff behind there. Furthermore in panel seven Chuuya is shown wearing a change of clothes. He has not only stayed enough that he has stuff he’s left behind, but spare clothing as well. And then Misacho’s response to his offer of staying is, “You don’t have to, I’m not trying to force you”. Which, knowing that Misacho was purposefully manipulating Chuuya into going to her house, is definitely meant to be guilt tripping. In the fifth panel Chuuya counters that Misacho could never have any control of him, touting his physical strength over her. But as the readers know, Misacho has already put Chuuya where she wants him. This makes her response to this, the world's fakest laugh, all the more dark.

  To begin the sixth panel I need to bring up something I glossed over in panel four: Misacho’s weird habit of blushing. It’s odd just in that panel, but her words, expression, and actions in the sixth do put me on edge. Misacho places her hand on Chuuya’s shoulder (unnecessary contact that he’s clearly uncomfortable with), blushes (and what reason does a 26 year old have to be blushing because of a 12 year old?), and says “Let’s go home”. The contact was already an issue, but the manner in which she says those words is suspicious beyond belief. She’s delivering them almost as if Chuuya is a lover, and fully as if he lives with her. Chuuya is/is doing neither, considering he’s 12 and a well established member of the Sheep. This is also one of the couple times we see Misacho’s eyes highlighted. Considering the other moment this happens, panel eight, I have no reason to believe this indicates anything wholesome.

  Panel seven, as stated in the second paragraph, reveals that Chuuya has stayed at Misacho’s enough to have spare clothing. But what’s even more important here is that even Chuuya is wary of Misacho’s intentions here. Misacho, who has been presented as unassuming and of no threat to him so far, has garnered enough suspicion to be questioned by him. This is why I call her faces in panel eight into question. Misacho is initially thrown off by this, which makes her explanation appear like her doubling down. Misacho blushes (and again, what reason does she have to be blushing at a 12 year old?) and says, “In truth… I worry about you Chuuya… You’ve been looking so worn out recently, and I knew it was gonna rain, and I just thought you could do with a good night's rest. Though I do admit I should have been more direct; I didn’t think you’d listen”. Misacho directly admits to manipulating him, albeit for good intentions, but her delivery of this line and prior behavior again calls those intentions into question. And it also ties into the initial story draft. Misacho seems to intentionally degrade the Sheep with her concern, saying that he’s “worn out” and “could use a good night's rest”. She (like in the initial draft) not only implies that the Sheep are unable to take care of Chuuya, but that she cares more than them and can provide what they can’t.

  In conclusion, I believe neither me or any other reader have any reason to take what Misacho Hitashi says in good faith. The way she acts in this comic is, in my eyes, a terrifying sign of things to come in the Yuuko!AU. I speak from the bottom of my heart when I say we are truly, irrevocably, fucked.

Hiya! It's 🍀 anon again! I'm here to give my thoughts on the latest choice and respond to everyone's wonderful theories! So firstly I'm gonna address some of chill's (❄) theories. Like 🐐 anon I also don't think that specifically lowering yandere's affection levels is something that will be beneficial to us in the long run. As 🐐 anon said they are yanderes so I don't think that just lowering their affection level will make them give up on us, and we really can't predict how they'll react or what they'll do in such a circumstance, but I suspect it wouldn't be pretty. Thinking of how little most of them value human life other than senpai's I personally wouldn't want to chance becoming one of the people that they wouldn't think twice before killing. The fact that we are the target of their twisted affections is both a detriment and a benefit at the same time as it puts us in their focus, but also makes our existence have meaning to them, as opposed to most other people who many of them would, kill, manipulate, or otherwise ruin their lives with very little thought. That's not to say that we aren't at risk of these things happening to us, we very much are, but if we play our cards right we may be able to avoid that. Rather than purposefully trying to lower their affections to zero, I think that for most yanderes we may want to try to keep their affection level stable. Basically unless we want to learn a skill from a yandere, I think we should try and manage their affection to stay as close to the default (or each yan's individual default should they have different ones) as possible. And regarding skills, we only get to have three of them so we should probably carefully weigh the possible benefits of whatever skill we think they'll give us and how useful of an "ally" (read: tool) they'll be to us in their own right, against how dangerous they are/how much of a risk they'll pose to our safety. In relation to ❄ 's other ask, I also don't necessarily think that rushing home immediately is the best of ideas either. While yes getting a map is vital, I think it's even more important that we take each interaction individually and make the safest decision for it, rather than just doing what will get us home the fastest. After all, getting home safely and getting our map built up is nice but if we have to snub a bunch of yanderes and raise their insanity/envy meters to do it, then it won't be so useful in the long run. That said though, I do agree that if possible we should try to get home before nighttime starts or at least asap once nighttime begins. According to our lovely host, after school time begins at 4pm, nighttime begins at 8pm, and each choice we make takes 30 minutes. So counting the number of decisions (5) we've made since the start of after school time, it is currently 6:30 pm and after we decide whether to accept Xiao's offer or not it will be 7pm. Meaning we can still get home by 8 in theory, as we will have 2 more decisions to make before it hits 8pm, and if not before then hopefully shortly there after.

Briefly regarding the other phone Xiao gave us, some people seem to think that Xiao asked us to return it, based on what he said though, I don't think that's the case. The phrasing of that statement, specifically the "and- Wait, what...?" makes me think that, although we can't see what we said, senpai actually cut in and asked to return the phone themselves, rather than Xiao putting us up to it. Whether or not Xiao actually knew it wasn't our phone is another matter entirely, he may have, he may not have. Personally I agree with ❄ on this one, I think it was a ploy to get us to come back to the gaming club room with him and spend more time with us, rather than having much to do with the phone he gave us itself, but really that doesn't matter much. As for who the phone belongs to, there really isn't enough evidence so far to say, but I do agree with 🐐 anon that Aether is a good possibility. He seems like the type who would "lose" something on purpose to get us to return it to him. Though again, that's more a guess than a theory since it isn't actually based on any evidence but rather a gut feeling.

Regarding the choice this time, I think that we should accept the offer. I agree with 🎃anon. Considering that we just started the game, his meters should in theory be pretty low, so I think it should be safe to go with him to the gaming club room despite him having 5 stars. That said though I do think we should try to ditch him as soon as we can do so safely and ideally don't wanna be around him once night time hits. So hopefully we can get home by then or at least be on our way home.

Then I have a few more questions for our lovely host. Firstly, what is our end goal here? Are there 'successful' endings for the yans that we can get under certain conditions, are we trying to survive a certain amount of time (say, until graduation maybe) at which point we'll be free, or is there no real end and our goal's simply to survive as long as possible? And secondly, since we are supposed to have our responses in by certain times (which I may have accidently been late this time oops), what time zone are those due dates measured in? Oh I meant to send this in a few days ago but kept forgetting bc school lmao but—

I watched a video on YouTube comparing the twins' fighting styles and everyone in the comments was talking about how they're symmetrical so they could look out for each other's weak spots like:

Lumine uses her left hand for elemental skills while Aether uses his right

During their basic attacks they swing their swords in opposite directions (Lumine starts w a horizontal slash and Aether does a vertical one down)

Lumine uses her lower body during elemental bursts (she kicks the tornado away and stomps the ground for the Geo burst) while Aether uses his upper body (he punches the tornado and also the ground for the Geo burst)

And someone in the comments said how many times have they ignored a threat to their unguarded side bc they were expecting their twin to cover for them :'(

Also Lumine looks a lot more elegant and effortless when casting elemental skills/bursts while Aether looks like he's putting his all into the attack and I wonder since Lumine is sorta "canonically" the abyss princess does this mean she has better control over the elements while Aether is still struggling??? Like since she's gone through our entire adventure already she'd def have more experience w manipulating the elements OR maybe she's just better at it naturally and that's why the unknown god took her instead of Aether 🤔

I'm probably reading too much into this lol but it's nice to see the little details mihoyo put in for us to find

No worries Catty, with my reply times it’ll look like you’re on time haha. I remember my friend and I were talking about it and how Lumine is technically the better twin to play because of her animations. I remember seeing a video like that but I never watched it but that’s so wholesome? Protecting each others weak spots. Makes me happy that mihoyo put in that effort to make is symmetrical/reflect one another rather than copping out. 

I will say, that stomp on the ground for Lumine’s geo burst is such a power move. Great, now every time I go back and play or watch trailers where Aether get’s hurt. My brain will be on full conspiracy theory and cry on the inside. I fully commit to the idea that Lumine is the “older” sibling. I love how everyone makes Aether this cinnamon roll while Lumine will curb stomp everyone haha. 

It makes a lot of sense for Lumine to be a lot more elegant. Plus if we believe in that “while Aether was asleep, Lumine was trying to fight against the Unknown God in Khaenri’ah and became the abyss princess” she would have a lot more fighting experience and that might be why she’s a lot more elegant. 

I think everything is valid and honestly, even if it isn’t. It’s still a lot of fun to world build your own stories. Not every theory needs to be rooted into super deep lore because at the end of the day, it’s just fans having fun. Kinda makes me sad that people don’t seem to realize this.

this is one of the mcs u can chose . the on the left is ME <33. often i am referred to as traveler in game . so like basically a god separated the twins, and now the traveler ison a journey to find their sibling. after saving 2 nations they finally meet up w them but uh oh plot twist their twin is leading an evil organization.

inazuma' s quest was... a mess but imo the quests after were pretty good! i'm rlly exicted for 2.6 cbus it releases the chasm n venti rerun + more lore .. the music and scenery in genshin is absolutely beautiful.

mondstadt (ventis nation) will always be my favorite. also the the organization the twin leads wants revenge against thedivine for destroying khaenri'ah. we don'tknow if the archons participated and imo venti helping (willingly, at least) would be ooc. also Istaroth is the god of time and there are many theories abt she's connected to venti (venti's mother, venti is a shade of her since his trueform is a wind sprite, he is her.)

Two weeks later.

"Did Xiao ever say when he'd return?"  You caught up to Aether at the front of the group.  "I'm getting worried.  And what about Mr. Zhongli?"  The team had just entered Liyue Harbor to inspect three nameless treasure boxes that you'd found all over western Liyue.

"Nope.  Not a clue.  But we can stop by the funeral parlor to look for Zhongli if you want."  

"Paimon thinks you worry too much.  The Vigilant Yaksha can handle himself just fine."

"I-I know that!"  You spoke a little too loud and a few pedestrians gave you the side eye.  The tips of your ears burned red.

"I have some business to attend to regarding the winery.  I'll meet you tomorrow morning."  Diluc walked off without another word.

"He's not a people-person just like Xiao, don't you think?" Paimon nudged you suggestively.

"What're you saying, exactly?"

"It seems our emergency food forgot her place," Aether defended you despite his urge to tease your urgency over Xiao's return.

"Stop treating Paimon like that!  I am not food!"

"She's not wrong though," Childe cozied up to you.  "A little eager to see Xiao again, are we?"

"I already told you guys, it's not like that!  I'm just antsy because he said he'd be back soon and it's been a few weeks now--"

"Sounds like you really like this Xiao person!" Bennett chirped.  "I wonder what he's like?"  He swung his arms at his side, completely carefree despite the soreness in his previously-broken arm.  It had healed within a day because of his healing abilities.

"You guys are just teasing me because I'm the only girl on the team!" You pouted and crossed your arms.

"Oh come now, don't be like that." Childe put an arm around your shoulder.  "What else did Xiao tell you before you left? How much he loves you and how much he'd miss you while you were away?  If you want, I can tell you those things too, ojou-chan〰"

"Cut it out, Childe!"  You snapped and pushed him away.  That's when you noticed a few strangers were whispering and pointing at the Harbinger.  "Hey--"

"Ah, don't concern yourself with them."  Childe returned to a more serious nature and continued to walk behind Aether.   "Let's just say I'm not as welcome in Liyue as the Traveler here."

"That's because he kicked your butt!" Paimon taunted.

"Do not forget that I've grown stronger in recent months.  If you are so certain he could defeat me a second time, I'm more than happy to prove the two of you wrong."

"Why does it feel so tense all of a sudden?"  Bennett whispered in your ear.  

"They have a weird rivalry going."

"Ah."

"We're here--annnd it's closed," Aether's shoulders drooped once the group reached the antique shop.  "'Open at 6p.m.'  Great."

"That just means we have time to relax! Quick, Paimon wants to go eat some classic Liyue dishes!"  She dragged Aether with her before he could protest.  

"Uh...we'll meet here at six!"  He called over his shoulder.

"I still don't understand how she could eat so much," Childe shrugged.  "Well then, I'm off.  I have some business to take care of at the bank.  See you soon."

"Guess it's just you and me?"  Bennett laughed nervously.

"Wanna eat lunch first?"  

Your offer lit his eyes up.  The two of you had practically become best friends during these past few weeks, and he found it a relief that you weren't phased by his bad luck even when it did backfire on you.  To think he had found such a great friend and adventure team no less--was incredibly motivating.

After several hours of eating and checking out all the harbor had to offer, you and Bennett ended at the docks.  The sun was nearly setting and cast an orange glow on its subjects.  You dangled your feet over the edge and soon enough he did the same.  

"I had so much fun today! Thank you for showing me around!"  Bennett ate the dango you had bought for him.

"Mhm!"  You didn't feign cheerfulness, but by now it was exaggerated.  Bennett caught on.

"Hey, are you okay?  You've been acting weird since this morning."

"I don't know.  I just feel lonely without him."

"The Xiao guy?  I get how that feels.  I'm always lonely," he sympathized.  "You can rant to me if you want.  I'm a good listener."

"See, that's the thing.  I'm not sure if it's safe for me to talk about it with anyone."  There were brief moments in the night in which a gentle breeze would caress your skin, but they were briefer than the first and infrequent.  Your heart ached and missed the comfort of knowing he was watching over you the longer he was gone.

Bennett quietly pondered your words while he swung his feet in the air.  "If there's anything I know about thoughts and feelings, it's that they'll tear you apart the longer you keep them bottled up."

"Yeah...you're right."  You let out a long sigh and lay your back against the cold wooden planks.  "I want to get closer to him, but it feels like something bad will happen if I do."

"What do you mean?"

"He says we might be in danger, but he won't elaborate on it.  I feel like unless that danger is eliminated, I won't have a chance to get to know him fully."

"I see."  Bennett copied your position and reached toward the sky. "Well, I think--"

"There you are," Childe entered your field of vision.  "We're all waiting for you.  The antique shop is open now."

"--These markings are those of Liyue," Linlang of the antique shop continued to explain as you approached the rest of the group.  "You can see inscribed here is the anecdote of Azhdaha.  They say Azhdaha was a dragon spawned by a convergence of the spirits of Geo in Liyue, and that even Rex Lapis could not easily subdue it.  Rex Lapis thus summoned three adepti to his aid, and together they created a cavernous realm.  Rex Lapis then battled the creature, luring it into the cavern, before ordering the adepti to seal the entrance, trapping Azhdaha within.  

"The patterns on the things you brought seem to describe the three adepti joining hands to create the cavern.  This crane must be the adeptus Mountain Shaper, and this deer might be Moon Carver...But this last one...huh?  It seems like this pattern has been intentionally ground away by someone to the point where I can't make anything out.  Who was this third adeptus?  Eh, no matter; this is beyond me.  Regardless, it is a complete set.  Would you like to sell them or keep them as keepsakes?  I can make a generous offer."

"We'd like to sell them!"  Paimon nearly yelled with excitement over the potential mora.

"Wait! May I see the third artifact?" The clerk held it out to you, and you examined the damaged box in your hands.  Something about this box called to you, though you didn't know why you felt that way.  You were mesmerized as you rubbed the ground-out etchings in the material with your thumb.

"Do you know something about these?" Childe suddenly became much more interested in the conversation and leaned toward you.

"I've never seen these before, but...I feel like this one is familiar."

"But there's nothing readable on it," Bennett remarked.  "How can you think it's familiar if there aren't any distinguishing features?

The theory made sense...The Guardian Yaksha worked in the dark, and he wasn't really known in the mortal world.  Festivals were thrown for the adepti, but no one mentioned or prayed to him.  He could have scratched the box himself, or it could have been Rex Lapis's doing.  Your hands curled into determined fists and you walked away from the group before anyone could notice.

Xiao!  You silently called his name once you returned to the docks along the harbor.  Xiao!  I know you can hear me.  No response; the wind was absent.  Why is it that I'm running into more things relating to adepti ever since you departed?  You dunk your hand into the ocean and traced a figure-eight in the water as you thought to yourself.  We found some interesting boxes with three adepti etched into them.  It's strange; one of them is scratched out, but I feel connected to it, almost like it's connected to you.  Weird, huh?  You shook your head at yourself.  What a silly idea, to think that one of the mighty yakshas could hear you.  I'll leave you alone now. I'm sure you're getting tired of listening to me ramble every day.  Or maybe you can't hear me at all in the first place.

A hand suddenly landed on your shoulder.

"Xiao?" Your head snapped behind you in high hopes that the adeptus had returned.

"Ouch," Childe winced and grabbed his chest as if he got hurt.  "It's just lil ol' me."  He took the liberty to sit next to you.

"A-ha, you scared me there.  Sorry."

"You really like him, huh?"

"I guess so.  I don't really know what to do with myself since he left."  You watched the moon rise over the horizon.

"Do you know where he was headed? I can go find him for you."  You shook your head.  "I'm surprised he didn't take you with him.  The two of you were practically attached at the hip."

Hm?  The hair rose on the nape of your neck.  Something about his words was off.

"Childe, do you know something about why he left?"  Your eyes left the moon and locked onto your questionable teammate.

"Whatever do you mean, ojou-chan?" He was good at feigning ignorance, but you didn't fall for it this time.

"Tartaglia."

"Now why would I be interested in the adepti?  Why are you so suspicious of me all of a sudden?"  His eyes narrowed dangerously.  "If you're looking for a reason to fight me, all you have to do is ask and I'll say yes.  I'd love to fight you and go all-out.  It's been awhile and I could use the exercise."

You opened your mouth and shut it.  You couldn't throw around accusations like they were Childe's Fatui money, after all.  If your suspicions were unfounded, it would cause strain in the team.  And he was true to his word on fighting; he could take you out in a single blow if he thought it was necessary.  You thought carefully about this and decided to drop it.

I really like the archaeological couple, they’re very camp (literally and figuratively) but I’m SO mad I can’t do their quest without whatever tf POSIDEON is gonna give me ig!!

I think, collection wise, they did one or two things too many. Like I straight up missed the daunt vista point even tho I did the ruins there right away bc there’s so much packed into that tiny area I just never noticed! And I really dislike the survey drones (I just did the one parked right on top of the thunderjaw site 😬😬😬) sooo something’s gotta give here tbh

and dont even get me started on the fucking endgame tallneck in the SECOND AREA i already wasted a couple hours on thinking i had to wait for a sandstorm to fly up there with :((((((
