Dear Pet

My Lily, 

I don’t think you have any idea how important you are to me. In this world that is filled with so much evil, hatred, strife, and upheaval, you are something I can always look to and say “But here is one thing that is truly good.” It frequently reduces me to tears, seeing how good you are. 

You are so gentle. Even when you’re playing, chasing shadows across the bathroom floor like a thing possessed, you do so with a delicate grace that makes me want to protect you forever. When you softly pick your way across the blanket to settle on my lap, my heart breaks. My favorite, though, is when you cuddle with me on Bad Nights. You push under the comforter on my bed and flop over along my side, purring steadily as I scratch your tummy. You honestly let me cuddle you like a teddy bear. 

I don’t know how I would have survived high school without you, sweetie. You’re so good, and so gentle, and you love me so much. I’m so honored that you’ve chosen me as Your Person. I only hope I can live up to the amount of trust you invest in me.

We had to wait outside for hours and help with clean up, I smell like second hand vape and weed but I GOT TO BE IN THE SECOND ROW FOR MONTREALS ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW with @thequeerkhaleesi !!!! I GOT blasted with bubbles, pelted by toast, and TP-ed pretty badly but the cast and crew were amazing, the production was fantastic!!!!

Out of all the time periods Chrona has lived through which one do you think they liked the best? The least? Looking forward to seeing the most?

Chrona’s been alive since about 1100 and has lived through....a lot. 

Their favorite time periods are a bit of a toss up between the 1800′s and the 1920′s. In the 1800′s they were stationed in London and got to do a lot, especially romancing their lovely lady Hannah, and in the 20′s they were in Chicago becoming very buddy-buddy with organized crime. Both were very memorable. A decent third option is the brief time they spent as an outlaw in the old west. 

Their least favorite was the age of exploration. Fuck Columbus. Alternatively, they technically got to see the later dark ages, which they also hated, but they weren’t exclusively stationed in England so they got to see other stuff going on. 

Chrona’s retired now and won’t live to see the next great big eras, but they have their fingers crossed that they’ll get to see aliens.
