I just had a weird dream where there was a popular video game series set in a post-apocalypse world, about a group of girls who have been transformed into some kind of nightmarish cyborg abominations that looked like someone crossed an antropomorphized motorcycle with a xenomorph. and they killed people for fun.

anyways with the new release the company responsible for the games was like "we listened to the public outcry about the lack of positive femininity, and made some changes to better represent women! listening and learning! <3"

the game was the exact same as the one before. the only change was that they turned the nightmarish scooter-abominations bright pink.

#if i could draw i would draw them bc i see it so clearly #they had these sleek futuristic-looking segway-ish wheels for legs #and heads that looked like a cross between a motorcycle helmet and the xenomorph. #and they were all sleek and black. except for when the company turned them bright pink #i love my dreams. #🌃 #oh btw it was never confirmed if the girls like. turned into nightmare cyborgs on purpose #but they very much enjoyed it. #especially the murdering people part

I am currently reading Stormbringer, because if I'm going to write Chuuya angst involving his past, I need to know it and it's driving me insane.

Stormbringer spoilers under the cut (I have not read the whole thing yet)

Do you think it was on purpose that the first body Verlaine chose to show Chuuya was Lippmann? How much did Verlaine know of their dynamic?

Lippmann who just pages before his death offers Chuuya a life outside of the mafia. Who wanted to Chuuya to become an actor alongside him and thought he would thrive at it. If Chuuya accepted that offer, what would Lippmann have become to him? A mentor, a role model, a big brother type?

You have Verlaine who believes neither he nor Chuuya can survive a life with regular people and then you have Lippmann who offers just that to Chuuya.

Did Chuuya want that offer? No, not a chance in hell, he said. Because Chuuya had goals that aligned with him staying in the mafia. But still, Lippmann was holding the lifeline should he need it.

Was it just a coincidence that Verlaine had Lippmann in his trunk or a calculated move to manipulate Chuuya into believing Verlaine could and would destroy any other option he had.

Does it haunt Chuuya, that he got in that car, the whole time Lippmann's body was in the trunk? Do you think he puts on Lippmann's movies to hear his voice again and wonder about what could have been if he'd taken him up on his offer?
